[quote author=Shyee post=28064765]thanks boss. May I ask what determines the 50/50 factors?[/quote

We all pray for a successful application.
Av u considered d Federal skilled option? U know there's a Phd Stream...

Good day house. I applied to a graduate programme at MUN Canada for Fall 2015 and my Acceptancd Letter is on the way.
1. I would like to travel with my wife, a Registered Nurse in Nigeria. Does she need to apply for work visa along with me; or write the IELTS exam and certificate evaluation... Or how do I ensure my spouse goes along with me?
2. Must I write the IELTS exam before being issued visa, though not neccessary for my study?
Thanks alot.
Peace.
If you want ur wife to accompany u then u fill it in d form that she's going with u. If your application is approved, she would be granted an open work permit. However, d success chance is 50/50.
Its advisable to apply alone first. She wld serve as ur family/ home tie. And she can join u later. And cos she's a registered nurse in Niaja doesn't mean she can practice immediately in Canny. She would need to do some professional bridging courses.

Exam not necessary if not a requirement.

Did the 40 yrs and 55 yrs old lady need visa to study or were they Canadians?....that's what u should consider...age might be a barrier when convincing the V.O that you are going to study ...you should be able to explain what u have been doing since your last degree...shouldn't be too hard for a 28 yr old..
My dear, d op's question was hOpe age is no barrier? And I cited examples. 40 yrs, yes got visa from Niaja.
And yes, explain d gap, he's being working in d IT sector and needs to improve himself nau. Theres no hard or fast rule towards dis study visa application. Remember, every case is unique. No big deal.

Any advice for a young man,I am 28 years who plans going for a 2 years medical course in Canada,i have travelled to gambia, ghana, kenya, dubai, south africa, turkey and cyprus. My uncle would be sponsoring me with an account balance of 6million and mine also with an account balance of 3million and has been working in the IT sector for close to 10years but want to switch back to where my first love is which is a medical line.I have an SSCE certificate,do i have any chance for a study visa?
IT to medicals?
My opinion, get an IT related course, apply and get ur admission letter. Use dat for ur visa processing.
U can switch to medicals when u get to canada
Provided ur av d background prerequisites.
Best of luck.

Good evening everyone. I want to apply to a canadian college, but dr is ds issue bothering me. I have 1987 on my waec cert and 91 on my passport....I hope ds won't raise any red flag during visa application?
which of the birth dates is wrong?
whichever, rectify before applying, it might cause you undue delay(and you might not be duly advised by CIC on time.)
we've had a case like that.
best of luck.

@Honorable Siga please sir I would love to know if changing the course being given to someone could be possible when one gets to canny and even before finishing the program can that person change the course?....please sir I need to know..... Thanks
Just to add to Oga sigas reply. Make sure, the school offers d other course u want to change to as a precaution. Ask for their refunds policy.
Else, some schls such as centennial college will deduct 2600 dols non refundable fee. And make you undergo some rigorous letter writing to them and immigration that you want to transfer to another schl(assuming they don't offer ur second choice course).
I don't think u want to go through all dat wahala as a newbie and during winter...

@britiko. Okay, am sure I can size the documents to fit the required size to upload. Though have not opened the online application can you please tell me documents I will be uploading online
Firstly, u go with ur online checklist and add other doc u think will support ur application but not listed on d checklist.
U might need to go thru d thread to know what doc successful applicants have being submitting.

@britiko. How do I upload like the bank statement? U know the documents from some banks are not really the regular papers and is it when you get approved that they request for your passport?
Can you please tell me what documents can be uploaded online?
Scan and save as reduced PDF files. Just make sure they do not exceed required size limit.

@britiko, at what point will I go for biometrics if I submit 1st in November? How will I be able to upload documents like bank statement, land docs, all other documents from my sponsor? And even my passport? Will I be communicated that?
You need to apply online, filling all forms, upload all necessary and required supporting document.
Make required payments, submit and every other instruction will be communicated through ur CIC account/ email.this includes ur biometrics instruction.
You might need to merge and compress ur doc if u av so much. But really, online application is pretty straight forward and not so much doc shld be required.

Hello my brothers and sisters. My transcript was addressed to a college that denied me an admission. I was able to secure an admission to another college with the same transcript . can i apply for a TRV using the same transcript ? Thank you
I believe u can, if the address matters in the first place, u wouldn't be able to secure admission with the second college(cos it wasn't addressed to them). Moreover, u wouldn't leave your transcript sealed in your application. U will remove d addressed envelope.
Or is d address written on d transcript itself?
It shld be on an envelope.

@Adeneo, am in the same situation as you. My admission was mailed yesterday but now don't know how to go about applying for the Winter 2015 term. What's the difference between the online and paper application. When you submit online application do you still take all your documents to Vfs global to submit.
please can someone put us thru this steps
When you apply online, its faster, but u don't need to submit anything to vfs. All communications will be via ur CIC account. However, u wld need go to vac for your biometrics. Ope this helps

haba madam britiko i don miss u tire for this thread o... infactguys dey wait for ur testimony asper health issues vs application there are loads of arguements going on about your health conditions, sickle cell, HIV and other stuffs pls ma enlighten the house, how the thing take be during ur aplication.. eku ojo meta grin
Hello. I'm good. My application took a long time not cos of health status, but cos I resigned from work and a applied as an housewife. I had to defend my motives through interviews and repeat medicals to be sure I wasn't concealing anytin.
However, If you go through my post, I was only explaining to someone in the house who had sickle cell and was scared that his/ her application might be refused .
I remember, saying it was impossible to be refused based on the fact that, an applicant has sickle cell disease. I have 2 good friends in Canada, who applied through this same lagos embassy and they are doing great. They werent refused on health grounds. its à matter of managing their health properly.
As per HIV, I dunno, you might be refused cos its transferrable. Not sickle cell.
I Ope this explanation is OK.
Good luck.
