Babytruth:Thanks for explaining. I am quite neutral and will be very happy if the truth and nothing but the truth thrives in this matter. This is because I know the spiritual implications of being used by the devil to slander one if God's servants. In my mind there are three possibilities here. 1 He is a true servant of God and this is a fightback from the kingdom of the devil because of the damage he has caused them. He just needs to be prayerful and not respond in the flesh and God will fight for him and vindicate him. 2. He is a true servant of God that may have either by carelessness or overconfidence fallen into momentary sin with the lady. For this he can simply ask GOd for mercy and try and restitute and settle with the lady . 3 this is very remote and will be too shocking if true. He is not one of GOds servants but an impostor but using appearance to destroy destinies. I pray is not true. From your response Babytruth , you seem to be insinuating that 3 is the case with him. This makes me struggle with your story that you would have married him if not for his womanising. At least from your story he was not evil nor look evil until you guys broke up. This makes me think that you may be talking from a position emotional hurt. Secondly in one of your early posts you said you were in the protocol team in one of the eastern branches. From your last story about he always drawing close to you even in church now makes it look like you were worshiping at the hq at auchi from my understanding auchi is not in the east and he worships mainly at hq. Please clarify. Hopefully my last set of questions |
Babytruth:Don't mind my interest in your post o. I am trying to understand you well. It seems if your so called relationship did not break up he would have remained in your good books. Secondly I remember you saying you reported him to his dad and it became a family matter now you are saying you dumped him after you discovered he was womanising. I see inconsistency here. Please clarify. |
p1jiobi:This is the weakest line of argument used by apostle's supporters . cant you guys reason. so which kind of girl do apostles date. I am not saying I believe her story but drop this nonsense line of saying apostle cant date a girl like this. You fit look this girl like ugly girl but at close quarters a girl like this can say or do something that will "provoke" a guy to do something that is not funny. na later you go come remember say the girl ugly. I pray that the apostle is innocent or at least seek God's mercy if there was any error |
so Truthangel=Babytruth hmmmm |
Babytruth:Hmmmmm. I think siddon look is the best posture for now until further details emerge. My prayer for now is for God to vindicate the righteous and cause perpetual shame to cover any impostor. |
What a thread. For the OP . while I respect everyone's freedom of choice, I am a bit troubled that a story that started as "sincere" attempt at making people see the reason for your change in belief has turned to something I never really envisaged at the beginning. I have read through 32 pages of the thread and my intent was simply to learn, not necessarily how to change direction but to notice the bumps in this journey. I once read a book by Philip yancey titled "disappointment with God" and your position and that of the main character is not any different. questions as to, is God real?, is God fair ?and is God not too slow?. These questions come from our position as humans and we seldom balance it from God's position. A position of ultimate power but still guided by patience and mercy when creatures HE made rebel against HIM the maker. However please note that some Christians have faced even more challenging WHY moments and came out stronger . My question to you are: is there any chance you still would have remained a Christian had the blind eyes opened when you prayed earnestly? Do you believe in the existence of Satan the devil? what is the basis for this ? FOR MY FELLOW BELIEVERS For Christians things like this should not make us loose heart . Jesus asked "would you also go away"?, this was when many disciples stopped following John 6:60-67. We should understand a few things that no matter how spiritual we are, the Devil never gives up the chase. Remember one of the temptations of JESUS was in the Holy city, In the temple and at the Pinnacle(topmost height, zenith) of the temple. It was the only temptation where the devil used the scripture , also remember he was trying to force Jesus to display the miraculous . Does that sound familiar? One problem I have seen in the Christendom is the lack of depth displayed by many , like the seed that fell on the stony ground, there is often spontaneous outward growth without inward development. "Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root" Mathew 13:5-6 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away Mathew 13:21-22 Another problem in church especially amongst those gifted and being used of God is pride and familiarity . It is always a problem to maintain closeness with and the necessary reverence for God, hence we easily get offended when things don't work in a certain way. LET US KEEP THE FAITH FOR THE FOUNDATION OF GOD STILL STAND UNSHAKEN. |
mou may be sacked before monday |
someone help with link to this match |
jhydebaba:please do not pray unclad. its not biblical. do not open yourself up for demonic invasion. I know onikoyi mountain near ikire is good, but you have to be careful , there are some predators waiting to bombard people with unwanted prophesies. just stay focused. Alternatively you can go to RCCG camp, the rooms are fairly cheap |
Chinemeokpann:una no fit do nada. I mean say una no fit try? forget obasanjo rants |
Kano and katsina votes alone gave GMB this victory, all other votes just cancelled themselves out. The unfortunate thing is a Fulani will now preside over next years fraudulent census which is a basis for political/voting power and distribution of our commonwealth |
we should watch Buhari for 6 months. first. |
todayboy:This is definitely a lie. SW can not hold VP position and still be asking for Senate president. THIS IS A LIE |
Sweetguy25:exactly . YOU CAN NEVER VOTE OUT A NON-PERFORMING ABOKI. its only a southerner that can be voted out based on performance. from the results from Kano and Katsina alone GMB secured 3million gap. The other northern states where used to match what was coming from SS and SE. Gej lost because the 2011 numbers from SS and SE could not be replicated, while the North replicated the 2011 numbers. subtract the total votes GEJ got in 2015 from SS and SE, from the 2011 figures then you have an explanation for the difference between GMB and GEJ totals. Please don't tell me about SW, because even with GNMB winning 5 SW states but with an overall margin of 0.5 million GEJ would still not have lost. |
SLIDEwaxie:when will people be matured enough to disagree without using foul language. So you think you have countered the OPs position with your post abi? Is this the first time people are going out in the rain? was money spent by only one party? get real and get objective. the OP's assertion is very correct |
adeniyitheprof:He also prophesied that Fayemi will win Ekiti. So where do you place him? a PRO-APC prophet? |
Uteghe:you don't seem to understand. INEC caused this by bunching presidential and senate elections together. This explains APC's massive victory in the senate in the north as most voters that supported buhari voted for the party's candidate too. same applied to the SE as the support for GEJ overshadowed the senatorial candidates and the pdp guys benefited. |
MzJackBaueress:You guys will not show maturity and sportsmanship until you heat up the polity |
APC cant win Lagos in the presidential election. mark my words |
Another great book worthy of mention is "Suffering, losing Sacrificing and Dying" by Dag Heward Mills |
^^^^^^ I have Jim Bakers book but looks so bulky that I have not had the discipline start it . For Elisabeth Eliot I heard rave reviews of "Through the gates of splendor" I bought the book but the beginning pages have not been catchy enough to make me really commit to reading it |
^^^^^^ Yes those are nice books. Another book worthy of mention is God chaser ------ Tommy tenney |
Are there very sound Christian literature you have read and would recommended for other Christians to read? please share these titles . For me these books blessed my life and I feel other Christians should see them too 1. The disciplines of a Godly man -------Kent Hughes This is one very rich book with a rare message for Christians serious about Godliness in these endtime. At the end of the book there is a compendium of books that have affected respected Men of God the most. 2. The Jesus I never knew ----- Philip Yancy I always like Yancy's books because he brings to bare his excellent literary know-how in a form that keeps his writings exciting and passing his message across in a most compelling way. 3. Lord Change me ----- Evelyn Christenson Do you always think the change should happen in the next person and not you? Do you always find it difficult preaching to people without success? have you ever considered the impact youR life has on others who watch and take decisions without even making you know? . Then read this book 4. In His steps ---- Charles Sheldon What will Jesus Do? This is one question if applied to our challenging decisions would make a whole world of difference. The book gives a very compelling story of how a drunk woke up a church from religious norms to actually living the life of Christ 5. Man in the Mirror -----Patrick morley One very rich , practical and honest book from an author that started by having things his way until life taught him to return to the rudiments~ the very things he always knew but struggled to suppress ever since. take a look at the mirror you find someone there, that man needs to change , than man is YOU 6 Lift up your Heart ------ Fulton sheen I saw this book and in my naïve "Pentecostal pride" , I wrote if off when I saw the author is not one of the "Pentecostals". I shamefully learnt that my assumptions were altogether wrong. you want to be awakened to how vain the things we struggle for are? then this book is yours. Infact I am still looking for a bookshop where I can get a fresh copy because the one I read was one slightly torn copy which I bought second hand. 7 Why revival Tarrries ----- Leonard Ravenhill Looking for a book where a single page can keep you meditating for days? Then look no further , this small book will quicken you and awaken the revival fire in you. Please share yours and let others be blessed. |
ebankole:Thank you sir. May the LORD increase the unction upon your life sir. |
Thanks guys and Happy new year . I think this is one of he most profitable threads since I joined NL. I have read through a lot of pages . I have about 10 dreams that I need interpretations on . let me start with the first 3. I saw a in a dream that there was a bag (like garri sac) at the edge of a small field with very green grass, i saw that bag was tied but something was struggling inside the bag , and i heard someone saying , what a pity, that a goat was trying to give birth , so out of pity i dragged the bag to the center of the field and loosened the tied end of the bag. to my utmost surprise i saw that a lioness was giving birth and another lion was watching over it. I shouted and took off. I have tried to seek interpretation of this dream but all the explanations i have seem unsatisfactory i was driving a bus like 14 seaters , with about 6 passengers inside. I then discovered that there was a neighbour's child that had followed us inside the bus. i felt the parents would be troubled looking for the child so i stopped the bus, and help the child cross a major road so that he would go back to his parents. Immediately i stopped the bus, someone said that he wanted to move from the back to the passenger seat in the front which was empty. i objected that everybody should maintain there seats that anyone who was not satisfied was free to get down. After i helped the child to cross a major road and returned, to my surprise the passengers had taken the bus away and i stopped an okadaman who was now trying to trace the garage where they had taken the bus to. This happened the night before my traditional wedding. i saw that i was driving a car with just my wife to be with me in the car. When we got to a point the car stopped and i was now checking the car to see why it stopped. just on the other side of the road i saw 2 area boys who i begged to assist us, but to my surprise they were laughing, something like they were mocking me and did not come to assist, just at that time a thought cam to my mind to just start the car a again , i tried the keys on the ignition and to my surprise the car started and we zoomed off. i always thought this meant that there might be some delays in certain areas in my life after marriage but God will prevail in the end. what do you think sir? |
Mr. Jonathan, what do you think folks say about you? The word on the street is that all you do is get plastered, drunk, have sex and pass out, oblivious of what is going on around you.I read up to this point and stopped. We are talking about the president of our dear country here. This mr Osuji or whatever he calls himself should just shut up. If at his level he has not learnt how to make a point without getting so low, THEN HE SHOULD SHUT HIS DIRTY MOUTH UP. really angry . The presidency is an institution all these attention seekers should keep their letters and vote the president out, its only 1 year away. Infact let me see if I can talk to him directly. |
Austin my name is sam. Please act accordingly. You are stretching me. |
one of the mistakes of the modern day christians is either to underemphasize or overemphasize the operations of the devil (please read "screwtape letters" by c.s lewis) Another problem bothers on the gap between what men of God say and what we(hearers) make/understand of their statements. Gbile Akanni is one of the few well respected men of God in the country. My take on deliverance is that it is wrong for someone to say Christians do not need deliverance, at the same time it is also very wrong for Christians to look at problems only from the deliverance prism. In the Bible luke 13:11-16 we see a case of a daughter of Abaraham being bound for 18 years and needed special deliverance. From the account of Christ, it was her right to be healed, however the Devil denied her the right. In mark 8:24 a man was still seeing men as trees after just had touched him, he needed a second touch before he could see properly and Jesus did not leave him without warning him not to return to a certain place he was brought from, most likely because of the works of evil there. Christians should know that on a lot of grounds the devil does not play by the rules, hence sometimes to get what is legitimately ours will require special force/operation which I believe is deliverance. Any real deliverance is supposed to be done by appropriating the word of God, However saying that being born again places one above the need for deliverance is not entirely correct. Here in Africa there are a lot of negative spiritual transactions our forebears entered on our behalf without our knowledge, such cases have to be treated specially |
>LAGOS: Oluremi Tinubu wins Lagos Central Senatorial seat with 202, 506 votes.WHERE ARE PEOPLE GETTING ALL THEIR RESULTS FROM. I THOUGHT THEY SAID GMADE AND DAVID MARK LOST? |
^^^^^^^^^^^^^ please, please. So can you tell me why AD fielded no presidential candidate in 2003? Can you tell me why people like LAM and segun osoba keep saying OBJ betrayed them(SW govs) in 2003? The figures i released are from INEC. so tell me how OBJ got 95% on the average in SW , except lagos ? |
alj uche: it is either u are drunk or u do not know what you are talking about at allThis man i have said it before your brain appears to be too fragile to engage in meaningful discourse. The entire AFENIFERE leadership endorsed OBJ in 2003, AD governors in the 6 SW states reached an agreement with OBJ to support him, while in return he will back them to return as governors. So who voted for BUHARI in the SW that would have made obj lose in SW as you claimed.? I did not release the result of ther candidates in SW. For your information even OJUKWU PERFORMED BETTER THAN BUHARI IN LAGOS. OJUKWU GOT 8% as against Buhari's 7%. Use your brain, it wont kill you. |
jarus: It's not about region. Is it the buhari that could not even state his plans for the nation other than probe , probe, that we are talking about? Is it the same Buhari that you people dumped to vote for OBJ in 2003 we are talking about? I can bet you that ATIKU would have gathered enough crowd in the north if he were the frontline northern opposition candidate. The problem with Nigeria is hypocrisy. The same people that gave OBJ 95% of SW votes against the same Buhari, are the ones talking trash against Jonathan , Because OBJ is part of his back room team. |
