Allowing your wife to push you to the point of losing your senses and slapping her was wrong. Deed done, but never get caught in that position again. Secondly, this is only your own version of the story. But let us take it as is. I pray God rains peace into yoour home. Your wife is obviously insecure and her insecurities are fuelled by her family members. Don't bother about her brother. He is ironically seeking security for his sister the wrong way. You may call him and seat him down and talk to him like a younger brother. He's a guy- he will understand and may become your ambassador amongst your in-laws. Try and get her a job. Something that makes her feel important and sees herself contributing to bottomline. When home all day, most ladies feel their men see them as mere objects and this further aggravates their insecurity. If you two worship at the same place, better if you can get your worship leaders involved. Don't meet the mom. It will be counterproductive. No matter what you say, she will most likely believe her daughter's version. If dad, that's ok. Most mothers will always take the fall for their daughters. Don't give up on your marriage yet. The night is darkest at the breaking of day. Just keep throwing your best shots at it. |
Uncle, what you wrote there does not suggest in any way that your friend is worried. It only seemed like you are the one bothering about what brand of paracetamol to use for sombody else's headache. Good luck to your unfaithful friend. |
Thiis land is not for sale. Caveat emptor. |

mmyfarmsltd:That's very fine. Thank me later. |
mickey45:You see how our deep-seated barbarism is betrayed by our very words! I meant nothing other than the words written there. But no, your hate for fellow Nigerians must cramp your heart to griefs. By "our son"I mean he is a Nigerian making us proud. But for people like you who must sieve six from half-dozen, tribal innuendos must ride on every national's breakthrough. If you must know, I am first humanity, then African, Nigerian and Yoruba. Take life easy bruv. |
I understand your dilemma op. Very intriguing, especially because it has to do with choosing a lifelong partner. Bimpe is 6 years younger than Sheyi, rich, uptown and clean... I will get back to you later. Just relax. |
That is our son. We are proud of him! |

weeb3:You see, I am interested, but you also need to understand people's fears. I was expecting that you would just give proves that you are genuine and stop attacking would-be customers with baseless accusations. Madam, even though I am not giving you the money to buy the car, what is the difference since the car is going to be in your custody Before it gets to me. Convince us and stop throwing tantrums. |
Thanks. And noted. |

Nothing we won't hear in this generation. Absolutely nothing. |
Quality camera. Professional cameraman. Unruffled owner. Didn't sound like he lost something worthwhile. Confused LASTMA officials. Nigeria... good people great nation! |
Good awareness. Ok, yes, I am a songwriter. Ama holla you guys this morning. |
This is strong. My opinion is that you don't keep him in your house. He can't be trusted. He certainly needs help, but you won't be offering that by keeping him under your roof. Accompany and reunite him to his family members. Let him report the case at the police station first. "Greed, like the love of money, is the king of fear" - Jerome K. Jerome |

There's a disconnect in that picture. Edited. Is it not very funny that certain ignorant souls are quoting me and oozing foul gas. Last I checked, Nairaland was an open forum and if you held an opinion, it was your right... My opinion on the picture is that their body language suggests a needy female and a withdrawing male. That explains what I mean by the disconnect. It is for people who understand and for those who don't to learn. Or move on. What's my business with hating? Na their money I wan spend, abi wetin concern vulture with hair-dresser. |
Very creative. |
Na today? |
This land is not for Sale. I am aware most of you know my twin brother Sale. He owns every good thing in this city, from cars to houses to lands, electronics, clothing's, and what have you. Do not be deceived, he also has over a million phone nos with which he addresses his properties and all. When next you see 'For Sale', remember I told you not to put a price to it because it is for my twin, Sale. Everything is for Sale, my brother, with the right price, but not this piece of land on Nairaland. (No pun intended! ) |
leshluap:The civil society does not owe you your safety when you choose the path of (public) crime. I still maintain that no lazy man can get a gun in Nigeria. It means you have some huge potentials for you to be able to get a gun. Why don't they just leverage on that potential. |
