Kobojunkie: I already experienced some of that... maybe a slow car instead of a donkey . LOL I can't wait to get to it already! A slow car, lol! I suppose a donkey in those days might be the equivalent of a medium car these days, not a horse nor Mercedes of today, but a Peugeot or Mitsubishi, so perhaps not too slow since you can't wait. God's time is best, and you will get there. IJN |

Kobojunkie:
Aren't we meant to live as He lived, do the things He did, and more? You know, if I am to become a copy of Him, eventually.... lol Not have a bed to sleep on, walk about with no shoes and ride on a donkey? Good luck with that. I think we are meant to learn like he learned and do greate things, but I sure he'd be pleased with whatever we do. Kobojunkie: I know it is a time-related in some way but is there an average on how long people take to learn whatever it is they need to learn before they are put out to work in the field or something? Time related and person dependent too, which is why one may find in a week what another has sought for decades. God is most Merciful and Wise, I guess. |

gensteejay: How are those images related to the dual infinity sign in the OP? OtemAtum: Chapter Two www.nairaland.com/attachments/11936941_img2020042504434035815877864290341587791901100_jpeg110808788a14a39414ace1a814764d22
1. The diagram above reveals the structure of the Totality of Existence. The dual infinity at the centre radiated all the 'I' symbols, thereby showing us a model of the great bang.
2. This bang occurs in all directions and it brings to consciousness all beings, all organisms and all things in Existence.
3. Therefore it can be clearly stated that the dual infinity sign is the origin of Existence. The 'I' symbols represent universes, organisms, living beings, animals, plants, solar systems and everything in Existence. A mandala (emphasis on first syllable; Sanskrit मण्डल, maṇḍala – literally "circle" is a geometric configuration of symbols. In various spiritual traditions, mandalas may be employed for focusing attention of practitioners and adepts, as a spiritual guidance tool, for establishing a sacred space and as an aid to meditation and trance induction. In the Eastern religions of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Shintoism it is used as a map representing deities, or specially in the case of Shintoism, paradises, kami or actual shrines. OtemAtum: In a bid for Atum and Ra to teach the people the diagram called God Almighty(Totality of Existence), the pyramids were constructed both in the old world and in the new. The arrangement follows after the pattern of the arrangements of the structure of God Almighty as revealled in the BOOK OF BASOTESH.
Then to honour the king, they had to make sure that they were buried in the pyramids, with the beliefs that the kings go to rest in the bosom of God Almighty, aka inner universes.
I think it is long overdue for me to start revealling the book of BASOTESH. I was waiting for the best way to draw and arrange the beautiful structures earlier, but I don't think I should delay revealling it anymore.
Now switch over to see the BOOK OF BASOTESH by following the link below: https://www.nairaland.com/5994369/book-basotesh#91759768 |

I was intentionally being silly. saxywale1: “Defund the police” means reallocating or redirecting funding away from the police department to other government agencies funded by the local municipality. That’s it. It’s that simple. Defund does not mean abolish policing. And, even some who say abolish, do not necessarily mean to do away with law enforcement altogether. Rather, they want to see the rotten trees of policing chopped down and fresh roots replanted anew.
Some of those funds could also be better allocated to training the police instead. They need to look at some EU countries where you can't join the force without some sort of college or university degree and with continuous training on law enforcement.
In the US, the requirements for joining the police is too lax, and I do not think I know of any cop that makes less than $100,000 a year despite the low qualification requirements. |

GodHead85: Its a really disturbing trend i've come to observe on this website. Now i'm sort of an agnostic deist but i have many atheist friends in real life, and some that are much more anti-theistic. While I do agree with them on a variety of different fronts, I don't really understand the hate. I wouldn't say I hate religious people; I just don't agree with them on certain things. Isn't taking a militant approach towards anti-theism somewhat ineffective? From what I've seen, religious people tend to become even more anchored to their beliefs when you attack them, even if they are disproven from a logical standpoint. My solution is to simply educate these people, and let the information sink in until they contradict themselves. And as I've turned by debate style from a harder version to a softer, probing version, I've been able to have more productive discussions, even with religious people, simply because they are more willing to open up to their shortcomings as well. |

How much more a human being you can't force any where, especially online! Kobojunkie: As far as that is concerned, I think I am at a 30 fold yield... i.e. about 30% of the time, I get answers within hours of asking or needing, but I know it ought to be better than this and I am trying to gain any additional understanding of what it is that I may be missing. You so fortunate. I guess I cheat. I don't ask for anything because I have all I need so its like 100% already. Things like world peace and everyone loving one another that I might have prayed for, God has been working on long before I was born and will continue working on long after I've turned to dust, and there's no point praying to the owner of a thing to be concerned about what it owns, I think. Know what? O Lord Almighty Father God give Kobojunkie the additional understanding of what it is that he may be missing in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ Thy Son I pray. Amen Kobojunkie: I am looking for what Jesus Christ showed His disciples because that is what ought to be if I am ever to do what He did and more. I feel like asking why you are not looking at Jesus Christ himself but wouldn't because of course one must "look for what Jesus Christ showed His disciples". I ask instead, why do you say "ought to be"? Kobojunkie: I have been working on the testing myself, and it has not been easy at all. For it seems I have been in the waiting room on a lot of things for sometime now. This is a time thing I found. And the experiences you consume, and by that I mean the ones you go through that add to who you are. Its like you are in a lab performing a chemistry experiment and a certain amount of time has to pass for the chemical reaction to occur. You can't rush it. And testing involves repeating it many times to be absolutely certain, so more time. It sure is worth the effort and diligence when you know. Kobojunkie: It would have been nice to compare experiences with others who have been, or maybe are in similar situations as I find myself but you know how it goes... I know what I am told but I can't help but continue to question what I hear even though I am meant to "Trust and Obey". You should be grateful for NL! You are comparing. "Trust and Obey" is a conflict for many. When Jesus was to deal with it, he first opened peoples' eyes because they must see what they obey so they don't make bread out of stones to relieve their own hunger or jump from a pinnacle and rely on angels to break their fall or worship Satan in return for all the kingdoms of the world. Put me in the Garden of Eden and on day 1 I'm eating the Fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil despite God and even without a serpent because my eyes will open and I will see. I'm disobedient like that. Kobojunkie: You grew up? Didn't Jesus Christ say you have to be like a child to enter His kingdom? Have you forgotten that we are not called to be men/women of God, but as Children of God? One huge difficulty with Scripture is the complexity of the same word meaning different things according to context. Jesus' "unless you become as a child" means, abandon all misconceptions and beliefs you may have so you become innocent as children are and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you anew. This he said was as difficult for most as a camel going through the needles eye. You should recall he was talking to believing Jews. Where we are called to be "Children of God", we are first commanded to know God, but with that comes the realisation that God is infinite and we are finite hence an humility of Child, extending the regard we'd have for a parent Father God. He was talking to converts here. When Paul says, "when I was a child, I spoke as a child", he talks of when he was stupid and ignorant and pompous and arrogant and called Saul. Then Jesus met him and he put those ways away and saw face to face and knew and now abideth Faith, Hope and the greatest of them all which is Charity Simple word "child" with 3 different uses. Kobojunkie: Not tremble, but maybe be in awe of Him -- His greatness! The last time God awed me could best be described by the Story of Job with God and satan playing buda, move your toe. Yes, I'm awed, but in no way does it relate to a feeling of fear that God would be so wasteful as to put so much effort in God's own creation just to destroy me. There's absolutely no reason for me to think that God could be so stupid to destroy me nor am I so irrational that I'd believe God would. And I don't intend to stupidly do anything to make God want to destroy me. Well, except that thing with muttley. But God will definitely give me a pass on that. I pray. |
Christianity Etc › Re: The Non-Christian Chatbox ( sticky ) by budaatum: 2:54am On Jul 16, 2020 |
LordReed: Religions are, by definition, metaphors, after all: God is a dream, a hope, a woman, an ironist, a father, a city, a house of many rooms, a watchmaker who left his prize chronometer in the desert, someone who loves you-even, perhaps, against all evidence, a celestial being whose only interest is to make sure your football team, army, business, or marriage thrives, prospers, and triumphs over all opposition. Religions are places to stand and look and act, vantage points from which to view the world. When a person forms images of God as you have done here, my Lord, they go looking for that image they formed, and when they don't find the image they formed, rather than accept that the image they formed might be faulty or wrong, they say the image that they formed does not exist. I wonder if that makes you think of a fool. The smart ones, or non-fools, accept that the images seen from vantage points might look different, even depending on who's looking or how well they can see and how many vantage points they have looked from and how good they are at forming images of what they've seen from their vantage points, and would therefore look with their own eyes from as many vantage points as they can instead of forming images from one or a few vantage points or those images of vantage points made by others. |

HappyPagan: It's my birthday next month. I'll be 32. It's crazy... I dropped religion at 21. There's been a whole lot of unlearning, weeding my mind of seeds planted carefully long time ago. It's tough, very tough...but everyday I'm grateful I stopped listening to fear.
Unfortunately, I also developed a negative/pessimistic outlook on life.. rarely taking my self or thoughts serious. My life has been a bit out of balance the past few years, hopefully I can get back on track.
I don't want to be known as an ex-Christian. I think there's more to me than that...and I'm hoping time will reveal more...
Hope you good.. my thoughts may be a bit scattered. Hope they make sense.. I see you have not unlearned revelation. Amen. Or rather, lol. |

LordReed: It has fully dawned on me that talking about god is pointless. While I hold out the possibility of the existence of a god, I just get no satisfaction from any of the conversations or arguments, they feel bereft of real substance. No argument is going to convince me a god exists, if one does it is going to have to convince me itself. So I am done with god talks, it was fun though, it stretched my mind and gave my mind a good work out. Thanks to all who were gracious enough to engage, I appreciate you all. You remind me of Martha who said "Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” I'd say you are worried and upset about unnecessary things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Humanism, def. If you do for those you see God whom you see not is pleased! But if God isn't, why care? Choose what is better, my Lord, and it will not be taken away from you! |
