I'm sure my faith is between God and myself, and has nothing to do with you, but if you receive what I receive from my Creator, you would not be advocating the ignorance you promote here! You'd have far many more senses than 5 to start with. OLAADEGBU: "But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him" (Hebrews 11:6).
If your 5 senses are working well you will know that the evidence of the Creator is His Creation but if you want to receive anything from this Creator you need to come to Him by faith. |

OLAADEGBU: Satan is at least better than those who don't believe in God's existence but that doesn't mean that he doesn't shudder when he remembers the judgment coming upon his head. Now that's indeed a new one. Explains why you don't mind emulating satan, who, in your opinion, is "at least better than those who don't believe in God's existence". Do you know Samaritans did not believe in God? Yet we read of a good one, whom Christ said, “Go and do likewise.” is it not so in your God's Word, or don't you just understand the lesson? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Could God Really Have Created Everything In Six Days? by budaatum: 1:02pm On Sep 27, 2019 |
Science is not "common sense", degbu, please at least use your eyes! Science is the use of the senses, one of which is the use of your eyes It is so you can use your senses right that Jesus kept healing the blind. OLAADEGBU: "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but to us which are saved it is the power of God" (1 Corinthians 1:18).
And that common-sense of yours is what is getting in the way between you and Christ. It is only when you are convinced and convicted of sin that Christ will become intelligible to you. |

You don't seem to understand that you need inspiration to understand that which is written by inspiration. Its the difference between believing and shuddering as satan does, and having a faith filled understanding as Jesus taught when he was tempted on the mount. OLAADEGBU: "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16).
The earlier you started taking God's Word as an instruction in righteousness, the better it will be for your understanding about God, His Word and His World. |

OLAADEGBU: That's why I say you must be born again. You seem to think being born again means being ignorant. It doesn't. God does not promote the non-use of the senses you are given. |

OLAADEGBU: The Bible that was penned 2 to 3 thousand years ago said that creation was made on invisible elements (Hebrews 11:3) and this was at a time that science was ignorant about the subject but now scientists all agree that creation is made up of atoms. True science confirms the Bible. Your school fees was not paid. See you talk of science as if it were some god and not just something humans do! I guess its like your attitude to Scripture too. It was written by God, and not by mere human beings so everything in it must be literally so. I wonder what you think Jesus was opening people's eyes for if not for them to use their sense which is what science is. |

trapQ: The funny thing is that atheists take every word in the Bible as an instruction from God, not taking time to find who the speaker actually is. Really? Are you sure it is not op, Degbu, who takes every word in the Bible as an instruction from God, and resorts to intellectual dishonesty when ungodly things are written about God in the Bible? |

Nairaland needs an ignore button! I'd gladly make sure I don't have to read this twoddle! OLAADEGBU: "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day" (2 Peter 3:8.).
That verse is saying that God can do in one day what will take natural processes to do in a thousand years. It was not talking about how long it took God to create. Only God can tell us how long it took Him to do it and He has recorded that in Exodus 20:11 which says:
"For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day..." (Exodus 20:11a). |

OLAADEGBU: This is where the rubber meets the road, whether you actually believe in the Word of God or in the words of fallible sinful men. I can't get over the fact that some do what satan does, shudder, and claim they worship God. And I wonder if you believe the "Word of God" was written in heaven by God and not by "fallible sinful men". Oh! I get it! You " mentally agree" and have no understanding of the "genuine saving faith of scripture". No degbu, I do not believe. I seek to know and understand.

blueAgent: You did not refute my points with regards to the significance of equilateral triangles in pagan and occultic teachings. What you did was to show another occult pagan symbol. Like I said before 666 number is genuine and it is represented by equilateral triangles which can be found all around you including the Church especially the Catholic Church. It can be found everywhere because of its significance. The discovery and understanding of equilateral triangles was a great achievement. At the time, it was like looking on the face of the gods. We, today, who understand more and better, are just not so easily awed as they used to be in those days. |

Anas09: You didn't answer me. Did the Bible say God left the elements of the Universe to Man to control? Yes Anas. God did leave the elements of the Universe to Man to control. Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. |

The building of "cathedrals" is not a Nigeria thing. Britain has one in every parish, and that's like 10 minutes apart in some cities. And they were often built through taxation of the poor, though wealthy people contributed too. And I hear its the same all over Europe - Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands, being four countries I've seen them myself. Some took hundreds of years to build too, so imagine the cost of building temples to a God who never needed them! |

OLAADEGBU: The false alarm that climate change is about to cause extinction of mankind is a blatant lie from the pit of hell and there is little or nothing we can do to stop the earth from burning up when it's time expires and that will not happen in our lifetime so stop the project fear agenda and believe the gospel truth before you expire. No one claimed climate change would cause the extinction of humans, though, global warming would have significant impact on how we chose to exist. It's about loving one another, see, a major doctrine in the gospel of truth you claim to believe in but unfortunately do not appear to understand. You can't see that some do suffer due to global warming.
