Tochj:That's not what I saw or understood happened. I saw people campaigning before elections and people voting during elections and those votes being counted and a winner declared. Guess I can't help you with your distrust of the system, but bet you'd have trusted it if your preferred candidate had won. Magas are like you I guess.

Zionmdde:Guns are not what won the last election, so I don't think carrying guns is the way to go. Most here who wanted Tinubu to win did not carry guns. They just went to the election booth with their pvcs and elected whom they wanted. Besides, what would you do with your guns if not kill people and increase insecurity in the country? Better is you organise and present Nigerians with credible desirable options and trust us to choose as we did in the last election. But if you choose to carry guns, then expect us to hunt you down and incarcerate you as we do with boko haram and unknown gunmen, both who carried guns, and to the best of my knowledge, won zero seats in all elections. Do know that military will not take over for a month, so be careful what you wish for. |
Are they experiencing buyer's remorse, I wonder. After all, they voted for Tinubu, no? P.s. I am obidient, but I believe the current outcomes would have been what would have been experienced under Obi because he too would have scrapped fuel subsidy and dual exchange rate. In fact, it would have been much worse because Nigerians would convince themselves he did it so Nigeria would split. |
Kipaji:Thanks. I'm very aware. I can even buy sperm in a shop and use a turkey baster to insert it in me. And as said, adoption is a valid option. |
Zionmdde:We, are the Nigerians, as in all of us. And it is we who are responsible for the government we elected, including obidient me who was unable to convince enough people to elect my preferred Obi. Basically, I failed, but I am still part of the we, and should consider trying harder and starting earlier next time. As for Niger, Nigeria should only keep quiet if it wants the military to do a coup and take over the country Nigeria. Hopefully, those of us who lived through military rule in Nigeria would consider if it's better than having the opportunity to try again every 4 years to elect a more competent ruler or be ruled in perpetuity by an unelected soldier who would likely be a dictator. The choice is entirely ours, as are the consequences. |
kkins25:Yeah. It's my belle that made this fool change twitter to Xer. https://wapo.st/3DGYDPS

Zionmdde:Yes. That is the definition of democracy. Unless you expect it to be perfect of course. America is a democratic country, and they also have illegal deterrent to people voting in some areas, you'd find. Democracy is run by you (we) the people, and is therefore subject to how competent or incompetent we are. If we can not organise ourselves to conduct a smooth election, that is on us, and we should continue to endeavour to run our elections better. It's still democracy, regardless, despite what you stand by. |
"Strict" sounds like beatings and corporal punishments, which have been found to be ineffective tools in proper child rearing and education, and is why many countries do not allow it. Better is to give your children the tools to reason effectively, and they would more likely make the better and right life choices. |
Zionmdde:Nigeria just had an election to choose it's leader so by all accounts, Nigeria is a democratic country. We all must have read Things Fall Apart, and must therefore know that "if the hunter has learnt to shoot without missing the bird should learn to fly without perching" instead of giving up or claiming the hunter has become too good at shooting it when it perches. Anyone who was prevented from "exercising their democratic rights to vote and have their votes counted" should work harder next time. As for one region dominating the army (untrue by the way), others should encourage it's region to join the army so they are not dominated. |
I'd go seek a doctor's help, and if that don't work, I'll discuss with my husband if he'd agree we adopt or we find a sperm donor for me to sleep with to provide him with children that he can not have. |
Nigeria can not and should not remain neutral, but should not send forces to other countries because they had a coup. These coups seem to be the works of those who dislike democracy, and Nigeria saying nothing encourages the democracy dislikers in Nigeria to attempt a coup too, which Nigeria must resist now before it crosses into our borders. Nigeria and other democratic countries must stop doing business with coup countries, and must strongly state its dislike of the coups. |
sotall:First, I am inspired by every book I read. And yes, religious books inspire me or I would not bother reading them. These days I actually read books to program my thinking, and I ensure they do by reading them (or should I say the one book that I have been reading for years now) many times over. Second, the human-god consciousness bears no actual meaning to me, and it's more important that I increase my own consciousness of myself and be conscious of those around me. I am after all aware that humans wrote the books and therefore created the gods, so why am I bothering about the gods they wrote about as opposed to the consciousness that made them write the books, and how it's readers perceive what they read? As for unity, say I form a company and hire people, I'd be stupid not to hire the best candidates who would increase my profit regardless of their religion or tribe, and those who do hire based on religion or tribe tend to fail a lot. And it's not so much unity that would make me disregard tribe and religion of those I hire but my greed and my desire for huge profit. It doesn’t matter if a person is Muslim or Christian or whatever so long as the person makes me profit.

IjeBos:See how they believe they are in the know about buda though it's very obvious they are very ignorant about buda. They are not worth noticing I'd say, and definitely not worth acknowledging, as that makes them seem relevant.

IjeBos:12 mentions, all from magats who think I have time for losers. |

wis3:Honoured above all and forever remembered.

LordReed:He's turned it into X.
|
wirinet:If you are shocked that some believe the alternative facts dump feeds them then I'm afraid it's you who don't believe what you see with your own eyes.
|
TYCO77:I think it does. We vote, it's counted, and the person with the most votes is the people's choice. Some losers would not accept it though, but who cares what losers think? And let me add that we Obidients lost the last election but some don't respect the people's choice, which just shows their obedience was short term and therefore not obidience at all. |
As a man, while it is good to make your own money, with or without money, you should have some values that are part of your core being, your intrinsic worth. |
A40:

I have to say, it's not F1. Though the entire day was much fun, the race itself got almost washed out by the rain which dampened enthusiasm by the end.
|
LordReed:Reexamining one's state of mind (or thinking), perhaps, or that of others? I can after all have been a sceptic and now doubt my own scepticism by reexamining my sceptic position, and one may doubt the scepticism of others and examine their scepticism too. The agnosticism and scepticism that one doubts and reexamines must not necessarily be one's own, since a belief that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God can be examined in its own right, as Mayn has proposed be done here I dare say. |
BraniacX:I'm placing this on my must quote list to be made of what will. |
MentalCase98:But you do lie I am afraid, since I do read his stuff and in fact skip most of your uninformed rant. Just thought you should know. |
basilico:And of course you must believe whatever dump says and ignore all contradicting evidence, and can't possible understand why we don't.
|
Sounds to me like some in this current generation of born after many coups in Nigeria do not know how we faired during military rule, and those born during military rule are silent about the virtues of democracy and how it gives us powers to choose who rules us. All I can say is, be careful what you wish for.
|
Azeemokoya:Think small please. Your respect is irrelevant once I am independent. So perhaps your reasoning is not exactly accurate and you should have asked women instead of mind reading and seemingly concluding.
|
WrriterNig:Is it? If so then I guess we must have lots of money to waste or and must have been taking lessons from Russia to "waste tax payers money on convoy when foreign politicians come to Nigeria", and perhaps should have gone to British schools to learn to tell foreign politicians who come to Nigeria to get the bus instead of us wasting our money. |
Britain would not waste tax payers money like Putin would Russians because Britons would be up in arms if they dared. |
I think they are trying to prove Obi right, that education is not for those who can't afford it. |
