This is the initial reading list that your learning has led me so you know how little I know. Individuals have often used various methods to express who they are and what they represent. Throughout time techniques may have changed but the essential ideas and goals remain the same: how am I able to show the world who I am and what I believe? This study placed that question in the context of the digital world and culture which has been created by all those who choose to partake within it. Centrally, an exploration has been undertaken into how individuals are able to build and engage with a personal identity which is created in a digital context. The study was conducted with recently graduated secondary school students in Australia who use technology for study as well as enjoyment. While a digital representation has both positive and negative consequences for a real-life setting, the techniques and features of what has become a digital literacy have allowed individuals to better define the world they live in, as well as how they want to be represented in that world. As a result of this investigation, participants were able to effectively reflect upon their experiences online and had begun to see the differences between the social and academic context in a real-life setting and a digital one. Further inquiry into this area may allow fellow researchers to better understand what makes the digital world an interesting and vital part of the modern context for the youth generation.

PediakAuthor:I do not know the power of the twitter Hashtag feature. I will go and read up on key words. Thanks for teaching me. |
sonmvayina:Please read the below very slowly and let us start again please. sonmvayina: |
sonmvayina:You sure love making up stuff to believe, and you just want to be antagonistic for want of better things to do. |
sonmvayina:Motivation, I said. I don't have an institution that tells me anything. |
sonmvayina:It will take some motivation to go but I will try. |
Jogs1900:I'm talking secondary school, and not primary school. |
Aladeintl:A virgin who needs to be vocal about her sexual status is inviting pigs who can't get into her knickers. Basically, she's engaging at the bottom of the barrel, and should consider her status.

And you live good story!

I can't believe that piece of shǐt would hide behind a new moniker to engage me in its stupidity! Then again, I expect no less from that piece of shìt. |
Runnerzz:That makes us ignorantly believe crap, you mean, instead of using our senses to study our surroundings and "nature, existence and culture that is deeply rooted in our traditions that makes us unique and spiritual", and learning from them and evolving. Yet, I do have immense hope in us because more and more are using their senses to study so they may know instead of stupidly ignorantly believing crap. |
Joeev:Your own is urgent but you waited for your bro, lol. |
Confession! budaatum is a hypocrite! Or shall we say, has very too much vast experiences.

7045 teachers are apparently in my Osun State, yet visit my own Ifon Osun and na soso Corpers who think screwing 14 year olds is fringe benefits is what you'd find in most schools apart from a headteacher and a couple of teachers. And the students are dumb as fuq I found, needing to teach a b d to a jss1 pupils. ABC, we got to in the end, but to think I thought to teach them to read when I met them. Even gave them books, lol. And yes. Some sold them. On reflection, I expect any one who reads the hope I have for my country Nigeria to shoot me. Yet, my faith in our potential is out of this universe and into the next galaxy twice over.

P.s. For those who might not be aware, this visit was necessitated by some in this thread who seem to think knowing or posting about a thing makes one a member of the society that thing relates to. For such people, buda is a Muslim because buda quotes the Qur'an, and buda is a Christian because buda quotes the Bible. Funny though that not many claim buda is a Buddhist though buda quotes buddha. Lol. |
sonmvayina:If freeze were asking me to learn from Fela I truly wouldn't object. Olumba Olumba though? Yikes. For he might as well be selling me Jesu of Oyingbo. I am thinking of visiting to see what they do since they have a "cathedral" not too far away. Maybe I'd see the dead undead Olumba Olumba. https://www.bcs-uk.org/places-of-worship

I must say that travelling through London was insightful. I just couldn't not be amazed at the number of homeless I saw sleeping in Oxford Street. And most were foreigners.

Now, that was a trip! Thankfully, it helped me get in my 5k steps for the day. First, I'm changing the title of the thread to a trip to the Rosicrucian Order. It was in the Theosophical Society building, but the RO just rent the premises for today's event. The next one would be at the Quakers in Saint Martin's Lane somewhere, as the Theosophical Society is selling the building. Not enough patrons, I joked. 12 people attended today's event. 8 were women and 5 of us were black. There were 2 Asians there too. We were basically introduced to the 9 grades plus one initial introductory grade making 10. Each grade takes about a year, so 10 years of study in all, though I wouldn't be surprised to find the grades extend far beyond the 1+9 we were introduced to. Some, we were told, had been attending lessons for 40 years! Cost is £77 a quarter, which works out at 25 and a bit a month, for which you'd get reading matter each week with stuff to learn and practise. A lot of it is what I'd call know thyself and the world you live in, though I'd claim a bias, as it could likely mean a lot more or less depending on how one looks and sees. It's more subjective that objective, I'd say, and even the courses are more or less you get what you put into it. The order of study can be found here: https://www.amorc.org.uk/study/system And what each degree teaches is here. http://amorc.org.uk/study/initiate Would I join? Na, not really, since a lot of it one can learn oneself by reading lots of books on the various subjects. That said, it does provide a more structured reading than the a la carte reading that I would claim to be used to, so those who can't self learn might benefit. Would I recommend that any one join? I guess that would depend on the individual. But from the syllabus, I'd say a lot of the stuff is worth learning or at least knowing about, so there. Sadly, it not being a RO building, there wasn't much to take photos of, but I could not resist taking a picture of the Buddha.

budaatum:Since no one reminded me of this I can say I forgot and cop out. Except that I'm far too curious. https://maps.app./cbbVNPc7zga544uN8 Will post updates here https://www.nairaland.com/7762141/theosophical-society-visit#124380595 |
Went for new eyes today at cost of almost 500GBp. Believe me when I say my stupid error hurts and costs. |
STAGE 11 WINNER
|
Flamemignon1:Really? Probably good then that prison is not zoo or some of you men might be influenced to fuq monkeys! |
Freeze007:This is a very bold statement to make considering you know nothing about me. Have you found a job yet? Freeze007: |
This is why I so loved having the Buhari regime. His "fight against corruption" was bound to make him the most probed former Nigerian President. I just hope his APC would do a good enough job as required and not cover up his deeds, or misdeeds if that's what is found. |
Freeze007:So, you admit that your belief in your leader Olumba has not helped you solve your brokenness but you ask me to submit myself to him regardless? Have you not considered that your belief in your leader Olumba might actually be the cause of your brokenness? I have found that the root of suffering is wrong thinking. |
And this is just the beginning of all the great things you will achieve since nothing can stand in your way. |
