benalvino3:buda does not do believe. https://www.nairaland.com/5123700/disbelieve-know |
sinkhole:You must know buda better than buda who has lived every second with buda knows buda and I can't dispute with those more knowledge able than I am. |
sinkhole:No sinkhole. I do not point to my body and say "this is my body". I point to my self and say, "this is me, buda", because buda does not exist as a body alone but as everything that buda is. My body does not "belong". It is an inseparable part of me and who I am. |
sinkhole:As in, "unless one be born again one shall not enter the kingdom of God". The wise die this sort of death on a daily basis if not many times a day. They become as a child so they may evolve into new transformed beings. That, however, is not the same dead one dies and gets buried and rots and is seen no more. Once we die this death there is no birth, as we all know if we've ever had anyone die on us. |
sinkhole:And how do you explain death, and what is it followed with? |
sinkhole:You are not talking here about actual death, but death as in the sort of death that a seed must die in order to be reborn as a new plant. As for the Adam-Eve story, there is not a more sensible add up story than that, just that most accept the meaning given to them and never bother to use their own senses. Those who wish to live must brave the cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth and travel all the way to the tree of life. |
sinkhole:Reminds me of Adam, naked and ignorant in the Garden of Eden. Kind of dead, actually, since he's demotion from 'rule over the earth and the sea' creation of Genesis 1 until Eve opened his eyes and he lived, though I can't get over the fact that many seem to believe that people die because they acquire knowledge. First, I'm not a body or/and soul sort of person. The trinity alone teaches three components of being, and not just the two of body and soul, and there are some already evolving into a quaternity. Second. We do not "change" cloth/body when we die. We practically remove all clothing from our body and walk around, or rather, are, dead naked. You might want to convince me by explaining this "process" that "must be followed", though. I might experiment to see if what you "pointed out above" is true |

sinkhole:Sink! You seem to be claiming 'death is a transformation', and in a way, it actually is, because on death, one is transformed from the living to the dead, which is the end. Your Energy, E, will be equal to zero because your speed of light, c, will be a constant zero. |
sinkhole:My body is not a house that I leave and return to, nor is it a cloth used in covering me that I can take off and wear another. But let's work on your analogy some. If my body were a house, it would be a demolished house once I die. The entire process of box, six feet in ground, is demolishing, of the house and it's content. I can't live in it no more and nor can it be rented out so anyone else can live in it because it would have immediately begun to rot and stink as it turns back into the earth from whence it came from. And if my body were cloth used in covering, I'd be changing bodies like I change cloth, to start, except in this case, once I remove one cloth I'd be dead already. In fact, changing cloth would be the equivalent of suicide! One should not make things up to fill one's gap of ignorance. It's not as if you are talking from any knowledge you have acquired through experience nor is it what you've actually seen. |
TheSourcerer:The Bible quote was not quoted as "some special divine knowledge", especially since it is common knowledge that a divinity did not write the Bible. The fact it's written in the Bible is actual evidence of what "ancient cavemen (before the Bible....)" knew, and have bothered to write down so we current humans may read it and know too, or at least check to confirm or not, instead of ignorantly making up some imaginary afterlife to believe in. |
You Christians would not buy suya wrapped in Arabic Quran. You'd claim it's juju to convert you to Islam, and wouldn't even buy suya if it were on English Quran. Now, if only I could get me a printer to print me reams of paper with Quran and Bible on either side, and then if I could sell you all suya with Salam Alaikum to the Muslim, and Peace of the Lord to the Christian. Name of the suya joint would be There is Only One Suya, confusing enough for most to wonder as both sides wouldn't be able to agree who should burn me, which just might end up as my unique selling point. I'm thinking, first branch in Kano. Second in Aba. Then third in more liberal Lagos. Got to start this where the greatest impact would be felt. Investors required. |
sinkhole:You believe? You deliberately ignore the evidence you see before you with your own eyes but choose to "believe" instead? When you born baby do you weep like it died? Think of the inverse before responding. |
TheSourcerer:When we inevitably die, the living will shove our dead body in a box and put the box in a hole six feet deep and cover it with soil so we don't stink up the living, and there we'd rot and feed the worms who'd recycle us to feed the plants. It is written that "dust thou art, and unto dust shall thou return".

sonmvayina: Odinani is a pantheistic and polytheistic faith, having a strong central deity at its head.[2][3] All things spring from this deity. Although a pantheon of other gods and spirits, these being Ala, Amadiọha, Anyanwụ, Ekwensu, Ikenga, exists in the belief system, as it does in many other Traditional African religions, the lesser deities prevalent in Odinani expressly serve as helpers or elements of Chukwu, the central deity.Explains how the Igbos could adopt Catholicism, with its God and Sons and angels and spirits and saints and popes and devils. Didn't the Igbo Gods require sacrifice? |
TheSourcerer:I very appreciate you more. Thanks for being. |
Ibime: ![]() The Uganda Scheme was a proposal presented at the Sixth World Zionist Congress in Basel in 1903 by Zionism founder Theodor Herzl to create a Jewish homeland in a portion of British East Africa. He presented it as a temporary refuge for Jews to escape rising antisemitism in Europe. At the congress the proposal met stiff resistance. |
DissTroy:Last I checked, the economy had not begun dwindling under drumpthfp, so you are claiming I blamed him for what hadn't happened yet. As for covid, he mishandled it and it cost him an election, the poor losing sod. But are you not forgetting that I hate him because he was not my body my womb, and he was a charlatan and a divisive individual and corrupt, amongst many other things you've read me mention here? |
WoundedLamb:I never claimed those on Nairaland are better or less ignorant than those not on Nairaland. In fact, one could argue that Nairaland has less betters than better, the less better being here to learn about themselves and from others and better themselves, unless one wishes to argue that "just social media" does not enlarge one's view. You are more likely to have your beliefs challenged if you re on Nairaland, is my point, though its certainly not the only nor the best place to learn. There's after all books, youtube, going to a proper education institution, etc. There's no doubt we evolve though, as those who been here long might confirm. |
gambojimeta:Plus, dollar (and most major currencies) have lost value through excess printing so more are needed to purchase the same things hence inflation of prices - the other side of assets losing value. Fed hopes for a softly landed contraction, but their current actions (increase interest rates, reduce its own asset holdings), often result in a recession. |
obixcel:Actually, only ignorant uninformed people believe what you've written above. Smart people have been warning about inflation since way before Russia or Ukraine or Biden, but most are only noticing it now (probably because we were busy getting rid of drumpghtpf).
|
Cambridge and Oxford universities began as people congregating in those cities to learn from each other just as we do here and then a university evolved. Not every one goes to Nairaland University, or school even. Some would rather not learn so they may believe in peace. Fortunately, and unfortunately for some, the darkness of ignorance can not prevail against educating light shining professors like yourself, as is written in the Book.

You just giggled? You didn't go and save the man by telling him he was wrapping his suya in Bible? So what do you think will happen when a non-giggler buys suya wrapped in Deuteronomy? He's at Deuteronomy. Keep an eye on him and let us know if he ever gets to Revelation. |
benalvino3:I'm sure I was here hating drumghtbpf long before covid, ben, so how can I possibly only hate drumpthgtp because of covid? |
benalvino3:Have you noticed that Biden is doing almost nothing about inflation? If so, why do you think that is?
|
nencounter10:Why would anyone with a brain believe the Bible instead of understand it? Adam believing he would die if he ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge is what kept him naked and ignorant and enslaved. Thank God Eve used her senses to free them from slavery. |
Ibime:Pity we refuse to organise. Instead, we are disorganising. Many will indeed die before we decide to learn. |
basilico:The crystal ball I bought from China has a crack in it so does not tell the future well, bas. Still, yes. Turkey will join the EU when it becomes financially advantageous for EU to accept Turkey into its EU, like when EU can't find workers no more for instance, if EU doesn't disintegrate or metamorphize first. See them working on it since 2013. https://www.etiasvisa.com/etias-news/turkey-not-yet-eligible-for-etias

Nevaaada:If this were true they'd pay their bills instead of being bankrupt. https://www.worldoil.com/news/2022/4/8/nigerian-oil-ship-blast-followed-200-million-debt-trail/
|
nencounter10:Forgive buda please, but the above is untrue! Adam was not given "authority to rule over the earth and to subdue it". Adam was a gardener in Eden, which was a tiny portion of the earth that was to be ruled over and subdued by the more capable creation in Genesis 1 who was made in God's image and definitely not from dust. According to the book, at least, and again, forgive buda. |
