Same argument!
A True thinking Christian will NOT marry a non true Christian and certainly an atheist is off the list
Like a harlot is off the list? Or is the Bible just too big a book for you to bother reading it?

Hosea 3 King James Version (KJV)
3 Then said the Lord unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the Lord toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.

2 So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:

3 And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.

4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:

5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and his goodness in the latter days.

@budaatum, I once said that I suspect the the mistress of the kraken, Sidney Powell was laughing and speaking like a person who knows she's being ridiculous but going on for the gain. Here we have it now, she's said no reasonable person should believe what she was saying was fact.
Well, if she was laughing and going on for the gain, she was very stupid in thinking the company she slandered would not believe and sue her, but I guess she's finding out now how much her kraken would cost her.

If your god exists then he is the most immoral being in existence because he doesn't even follow his own rules.
See as you strawmanned! The person you mentioned was not talking about existence, but about learning from his or her God. But not only do you bring in existence, you expect learning to mean emulate as if one can not learn from both the good and the bad.

Must one produce a talking serpent before you understand you must eat fruits of trees of knowledge, my Lord?

Pelecius:
Nothing is lost. Christianity actually helps make a sane society. So it's nit about going to church, it's about having fellowship with God and loving your neighbors. There's nothing bad in me having a God's standard of morality.

But it's beyond that. The fact that Jesus came, died and rose is enough to demolish any conspiracy theory.

The fall in the Lira was as a result of the central bank governor being sacked (something like the fourth one in two years). Not the increase in rates. As it happens, he was a markets friendly governor and the Lira appreciated markedly over the period he was governor of the central bank.
The trigger was President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s snap decision on Friday evening to fire the governor of Turkey’s Central Bank, Naci Ağbal, who on Thursday, in order to tamp down on surging inflation and to prop up the lira, had engineered a shock-and-awe 2.0 percentage-point hike of the policy rate from 17% to 19%, when economists had expected a rate hike of half that magnitude. It was the third time since mid-2019 that Erdogan has sacked a central bank chief.

Hello all... I mentioned earlier in the thread that my wedding anniversary is in a few days. Well, today, my lovely wife and I celebrated our 7th year wedding anniversary. Yes, I remain a true atheist, and she remains a professed christian.

Waking up this morning, my wife held my hand and said a short prayer. While she was at it, i was silent, looking at her and smiling joyfully. When she finished and said "Amen", i told her i love her. She said she loved me too.
Surprised an atheist allow his wife hold his hand when she prayedhuh well, that's because of balanced judgement. I know that in her heart she means well by praying, and that she wishes our union well with such prayers. I respect that. So sometimes when she asks with pleading eyes, and hold my hands, i consent. However, she respect me enough to not always expect my participation (though it is only passive). She respect enough to keep it short the times i join in. Also, she respect me enough to not overdo the prayer thing (with hyperactive vibrating, gibberish speaking in tongues, etc).

You see, mutual respect is key. Even if you think your belief (or unbelief) is correct, respect the other's belief (or unbelief), and allow him/ her express it. Where possible, even make room for the expression of this belief (or unbelief). Do not force the other to accept your views. (belief or unbelief).
Troubles brew when you insist you are right and the other is wrong. Trouble brew when you belittle the other person or trample on the views that he/ her treasures. Trouble brew when you try to push your views on the other.

Some here have wondered why I say so little. it is because i really cannot stand the intolerance here (Sorry if this comes out wrong). Trust me, the Atheist me have stayed happily married to my Christian wife because we learned early to sweep off intolerance. My rice and beans comparison has been mentioned by some as too simplistic.... but that is actually how it is to us. We've seen our belief differences as a difference in taste.
In fact, it is one reason it has worked out for us. For example, because i love rice and my wife love beans, i may not eat beans, but that does not mean i'll insist my wife also not eat beans. And it does not mean i will not buy a beans meal for my wife.

As for our little girl, like i said earlier, we teach her how to think, not what to think. Yes, we give her rice, and we give her beans, letting her know rice is daddy's love and beans is mummy's love. "We" is highlighted for emphasis. Daddy does not shove his views down her throat, and mummy does not do that either. Trust me, the little girl knows more about Mummy's sky daddy and his supposedly holy book than most children her age. She just is not indoctrinated. Yes, she also knows the cracks in the sky-daddy tale (at least those her little brain can comprehend).

Once again, happy anniversary to my Atheist self and my lovely Christian wife.
Happy anniversary to your Atheist self and your lovely Christian wife.

Seven years of blessings will follow the seven years of blessings you have already had and seven more will follow plus seven more years and seven more and for as long as the Lord gives the both of you upon this earth. And even then shall a string of many seven years continue with your blessed daughter for ever and ever. Amen.

Stop trying to wasting my time as you are wont to to often do, for we both know you will refuse to see, and argue that you are right till Kingdom Come, but In you, Shadeyinka, is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:

“You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For your heart has become calloused; you hardly hear with your ears, and you have closed your eyes. Otherwise you might see with your eyes, hear with your ears, understand with your heart and turn and be healed by Christ".

By earthly standards, some Atheists can be good and kind. Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with God (Atheists too will support this argument). Within man is his spirit from where his conscience operate. Gods spirit is different from man's spirit.

Only those who believe on His name has the power of sonship of God. In this, the Atheist doesn't qualify one bit

That's because Africans are not united against any race.

Look my brothers & sisters, GOD told me over 6 months ago that HE has given you over to me to guide. HE told me I need to experience what THEY(Heavenly beings) experience and how hardened humans have become against their CREATOR.
I apologise!

The issue I have is with the bolded. It is obviously your ego talking, because from reading the thread so far, it is obvious that God has brought some of the most disagreeable egotistic individuals in the Religious Section on NL into this thread and none of us will wilfully become as children to listen to what you have to say because rather stupidly we are all judging you by our perception of you from your previous fruits instead of turning the other cheek so we may be reborn in Christ.

So, let me, the least of you all, being the only non-believer here, ask that we stop and listen to what the Lord says through OpenYourEyes, and perhaps our eyes might open a bit more than we think they are and we see just that little bit more.

I will suggest one thing of you OpenYourEyes. We are not babes. We are clearly not the type who would agree to remain at the bottom of the mountain with Aaron and Ahibu and the 70 while you alone go up to the presence of the Lord. You are not ministering to us. The Lord is ministering through you to all of us including you, so you must listen too and not insert your own ego into the message the Lord sends you, because we will know when you do and will reject it

May the Lord Almighty be your rod and your staff and your strenght. And may we who have posted in this thread so far allow the Holy Spirit to be our Guide.

In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, say Amen.

LordReed:
The only way not believing in religion changed me was allow me to stop using the lens of fairytales to look at life.
My Lord, you do still use the lens of fairytales to look at life. The difference is you never used to look at life at all with your lenses and believed you looked and saw instead. If you consider the numerous believers, both theists and atheists you discuss with, you may understand

You and many others are products of your religious studies but you can't still see how it has made you who you are. And the funny thing is that's because you are still using the belief you had in the fairytales of religion to look at life instead of seeing life with the understanding you gained from the fairytales of religion. The effect is you think you see life, but you do not understand that you are looking through murky glass.

So instead of blaming religion for not using your lenses my Lord, be responsible and admit you were silly for believing instead of understanding the book of fairytales. You'd have been equally silly if you had believed Aesop's fairytales or Things Fall Apart or a Physics textbook.

When you understand you will actually appreciate how well your eyes work, because, your eyes do work very well, thanks to your religious studies, but you just don't yet know how well you see nor do you understand that religion opened your eyes by making you disbelieve so you'd ask and knock and seek with all your hear and soul and mind and being until you found and were set free.

Now, if this isn't a right proper head twisting conundrum I have set before you my Lord.

Turkey's central bank today hiked interest rates to 19% to curb inflation and support the Lira.

https://www.ft.com/content/f1ec0b3d-00c0-4959-a9e2-addb736e6e3f
After four months of relative calm, the Turkish lira is once again doing what it does best: slumping against every major currency. It nose-dived 17% overnight to near all-time lows, hitting 8.39 against the dollar and 9.97 against the euro before recovering later on, ending the day down over 7% against the dollar, amid concerns that the central bank and state-owned banks cushioned the fall by selling dollars into the market, thereby further depleting Turkey’s already scarce foreign currency reserves. The lira has lost half of its value since its currency crisis began in 2018.
