@canadianfly,

Background matters a lot, we Nigerians are thought to ascribe all glory to God and not recognise one's own efforts.

My few years abroad, I learnt to take some glory for myself. But coming back to Nigeria, I am back to the tradition.

I study hard, I read hard, I plan hard, I pay attention to details, I analyse hard. But I will still give God the glory for making me to be who I am.

I know people that study hard yet, work hard, plan hard, yet no result.

I am a result of God's mercy and grace. But I am not one of those that folds hand and expect a miracle. I make my miracle happen.

The bolded explains the who formulated ECA story na. Yall made y'alls miracle happen. How glorious.

Do want you wanna do but no dey give us false testimony after doing it. All the best.

Thank you dupyshoo. You answered with no insults/derogatory words and sentences.

I will continue to convince hubby to decline the ITA as he has changed passwords.

My last resort is to hide all our supporting documents.

Madam, please stop this. I don't like how you are exposing the husband on here. The first exposure I found hilarious, but haba we're not advising you to go start WW III in your home. To be honest you don't know or owe anyone from Nairaland. So there's absolutely no need to convince us you are on our side and against the man that you made a vow to in life. Personally, I don't care what y'all decide to do....but stop with the husband has changed password and you'll hide documents. As in you are ready for argument?...that one I won't support.

My advice is to be at peace and oneness with your husband. This process is too exhausting already on its own to now add fight between PA and dependants to it. There are many people here who's spouses refused to write IELTS. They didn't put their spouses on blast on here like you are doing Oga now. Please don't put your marriage on here to be judged by others who you don't even know if they have worse spouses. No matter the path your husband has decided to tow in this process, don't fight him. Follow and go with him, then pray that God intervenes in His own way. For him to change the password really shows y'all are not on the same on a lot of other things outside Express Entry. This akin man fit comot you from accompanying spouse sef lol. Anyway that's absolutely none of our business. Go and have a talk with your man and decide to follow through the application with him, and guide him on the rest of the other stages involved properly.

Don't make war, make love grin

That was not necessary, sounds so derogatory and insulting to say to someone. That people share their experiences here is no reason for you to use against them or deride them for whatever reason. Other people draw strength from these experiences.
Watch what you say!!!

How in the world did you get derogatory and insulting from that post?

Nigerians sha. We attach sentiments to every damn thing. All I she is she explaining how she believes one can formulate TRF number. You now brought his history into the mix and twisted it to mean that she's insulting him? Lol very special

Reading through various responses in the last 3 days, I feel it is not out of place to place a public apology.
Lets allow all over.

Even though this shouldn't be an excuse, most of my responses were based on cummulative advise from family citizens & residents (Uncle, aunt, cousins sibling & parents). When you start hearing words like - "Listen, everyone is here, I have been in Canada for 15, 12, 10, 7, 5 years etc," You will also consider following their leads. Only 2 of us left here in naija due to dependant age way back, meanwhile multiple study visa denied for reason of not returning despite sufficient pof & travel history, HENCE we relied on such advise. APARENTLY, MOST OF THE ADVISE WERE NOT CORRECT. I STILL LOVE MY FAMILY THOUGH.

I have seen success based on the inputs on this thread, cross-referencing it on CIC website also checks out. One will only be a big head not to align with such results.
Once again, I am sorry.
Cheers & wishing us all a rapid COPR.
May the new year bring great tidings.

That your excuse doesn't even make sense, as I'm tryna understand how FAMILY sent you Dupy's post as link then told you Masters and Bachelors get more points. Or how the same family sent you links that pension fund cannot be used? Lol bros you just wan blame the innocent family members instead of your brain grin

And na me wey you accuse of misleading people wey you suppose Apologise to personally grin

On a more serious note, it's a good thing you realized your mistake. We good.

Why would anyone travel with detergent?! Just curious....

Lmao. Well to be honest, I would too. The detergent in Canada are mostly in liquid form in gallons and they don't foam like Naija Ariel grin

Also except you're using brands like Oxy, the stain remover ability of some of their detergents is very poor.

Thank you all for your input on my question although most responses were harsh. We all read and interpret differently. There was no need to indirectly lay insults.

I was ready to wait for my ECA result before entering the pool, seniors ahead of us said, 'just enter the pool, use ur Wes reference and the projected time ur ECA result will be out.

I processed the infor, did as they adviced but I was uncomfortable hence I had to reask on this forum.

Based on analysis of the responses I got the honest truth is that most of us here are also misrepresenting or misrepresented. If you do not have your POF complete, you also have no business being in d pool.

We know the minimum needed amount, we do not have it, yet we claim we have it and work towards achieving it before the 3 months period is over.

My hubby has read the ITA mail, and he is fully convinced that we are not misrepresenting. It is stated there, that if your situation changes POST ITA, recalculate you CRS. Our Situation has not changed PRE & POST ITA, we are not claiming a master's which we do not have.

I have even asked him that lets decline, but he has refused. According to him, one person took the risk of using gift deed - now everyone uses gift deed.

He is ready to take the risk as he wants to prove to me
That claiming readiness of ECA report and Claiming completeness of POF is the same thing and has no risk so far, you get it before the 3months expiration.

May it end in praise for us all.

So what was the point of that your religious testimony? Lol Nigerians be doing the wrong and still saying "may it end in praise". Praise to who? God or satan? And for you to write that line regarding POF shows you don't fully understand the process. However, I wish you luck in your application and pray you get a lazy VO that would let you and the hisband's deceit fly.

Honest answer : its cost £17 to order both transcripts and he's had to upgrade to ICAP so it was better we evaluated both. You see?

The truth is some people who ran away from WES are still going to need it especially some of us that are in certain profession and want to settle in ontario. For example me, I didn't bother with WES as I would have only added 8 points. Here I am how many months down the line paying 300 something CAD for ICAP as I cannot get into my field without it. You don't pay extra to WES to evalute your multiple degrees.

So like I said it's your choice.

I get your point. That's a different reason for evaluating both. Uncle Kunmi5 said evaluate both to increase your points and chances of ITA. Now that is wrong information.

Lol I don become Vetter of information. grin

Elfman na correct elder. He's correct, you are advised to add a NEW spouse after AOR, when breeze don blow your application small. For people with the understanding of Kunmi5, New spouse means y'all are not married pre ITA. Your wedding date must be post AOR date. E.g. If your AOR is 26th Dec, make sure your wedding date is after 26th Dec not before.

What is fraudulent about "your report will be ready on January 33, 2099" and then you create an EE profile using same information? I'm ready to learn here so please help me.

I am Igbo and I understand what that means

I'll explain what is fraudulent about it. For one, if your ECA profile says your report will be ready at a future date from now....you can't create an EE profile and fill ECA evaluation with a future date. The EE system won't accept it. It will prompt you that your dates must be past or present, meaning you would have to fill in a past date to move on from that section (which is a lie, because you don't have an ECA yet = fraudulent). You get it now?

This also means your former colleague lied to you as this is not possible. He must've used a past date and updated after the report came. Which is cutting corners and fraud. Yes, he got PPR....could be he had a lazy VO. You don't wanna pull this stunt and land in LVO, then have a rejection and ban.

lol. It's no guyman spirit sister. My former colleague who has already landed did exactly the same thing and I'm very certain he did. Only thing is that he already knew when his ECA report would be ready, as WES advised. That date didn't change, he used it and the rest is his Canadian PR history. Like I said earlier on, decline ITA if you do not know the date your report would be ready. I do not see misrepresentation in this. Worst case, you receive ECA before the estimated date which isn't a big deal on its own.

Inasmuch as it's not advisable to cut corners, we can also seek for more efficient ways of achieving the same result. Especially where it's been tested and it worked. I already did same for myself and that's why I'm cool with making it public. If anyone thinks it's not worth it, they had better left it out.

Is this the fancy word for FRAUD?

Bros, Igbo people will say...chi mmadu ni'ine di iche find out what that means. Good luck.

Nothing incorrect here, we don't form our conditions/rules, its clearly stated on the official immigration website.

Please check this link - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/criteria-comprehensive-ranking-system/grid.html

Someone with an evaluated masters degree has more points than one with just an evaluated bachelors degree.

Copying it out for you again!!!
From that link, a married applicant if with masters can attain 126 point towards express entry while if with Bachelors - 112 points, if with 2 or more degrees/diploma - 119. If for a Single applicant, it is 135, 120, 128 points respectively.

Do not confuse people here. Comprehending what we read, isn't it good he/she evaluates the Masters and get more points than leaving it out
Na simple english here na!!

Na this same way you dey argue that 25% of pension fund couldn't be used, and you posted all your links...only to be proved wrong. Lol.

Na your type dey argue blindly. You posted Dupyshoo's post as a link where she clearly says evaluating MSc alone suffices for an applicant with BSc and MSc. You now added your own interpretation to mean one can evaluate both of them to get more points. How Biko? Lol

Bros, abeg before you argue anything again on here and mislead folks, understand.

If one has MSc and BSc: Evaluate ONLY MSc.
If one has BSc, PGD, HND and/or OND: Evaluate both to claim "two or more certificates"

MSc whether single or married carries more points than "two or more certificates"

Hope you finally understand it, and stop misleading folks.

Thank you @mcstan18.

This is exactly my case. Hubby & I's ECA was estimated to be out January 8th. Surprisingly, hubby's ECA was ready the next day (Dec 15th) after acceptance of all certificates. I thought mine will also be ready soon as my certificates have also been accepted. I jumped into pool and got ITA (Dec 20th).

But people are confusing me, people like you say, it doesnt matter as long as ECA will be out before 3mths expiration. But another set is saying I should decline, that chnage in ECA date is misrepresentation.

Please seniors in the house, can you shed your view on this matter.

Hubby & I have similar qualifications (UK masters). So I am sure mine will also be evaluated as equivalent Canadian Masters. I do not see change in ECA date as misrepresentation.

Please advice further. Thank you.

@ bolded, what do you see it as? Why do you think CIC bothered to include a placeholder for date of evaluation report? If the date is irrelevant, it won't be there.

Aunty Fanta, I saw the mini testimony you gave a few pages back on how far you've come and giving God glory. Only for you to get ITA without His glory? So you wan help God give you the PPR? Does He need your help by you cutting corners?

Ask yourself these questions, you will know the right thing to do.

You don make me fear ooo. I asked a question about removing spouse work experience in EE profile. I had already included it while creating the profile even though it added no point and I was told to remove it on the profile else I would have to provide references for it post ITA. I have already removed it from the profile. Is it correct? It wasn't specifically mentioned anywhere that is why I'm asking.

Lol no fear grin. You were advised correctly. If spouse work experience is outside Canada, no need filling it pre ITA.

Lol. Most of the information and responses to questions on this page are INCORRECT. This is why we tell people to read through the past threads. All the questions asked here, have scenarios played out in the previous threads.

However if you don't read or research you'll take the incorrect responses on here and run with it. I won't go into deciphering what ones are incorrect but most of the answers on this page are false. Good luck to the folks asking the question. You're better off reading through the previous parts and page 0 to get CORRECT answers.

The closest analogy I can think off would be if Rivers and Lagos were both cities in the same state.
Lagos = Calgary
Rivers = Edmonton

Both have similar population though.

Lol. Calgary cannot be Lagos. Haba. Toronto = Lagos.

Calgary is more like Port Harcourt, Edmonton is Owerri. grin

But a better comparison would be Calgary is Calabar, Edmonton is Uyo. If Calabar and Uyo were in same State.

But why is it that some people in this life who have succeeded in achieving something will never want you to be like them or even better. So someone is feeding hubby's mind with questions like, if u get this Canadian permanent residence ehn, how will u cope in a new country. U want to give up ur good job here to go and be white man's servant abi? How will u pay flight tickets(did we tell them we are coming to borrow money from them?). Meanwhile the person asking hubby all these nonsense questions left her job of monthly take home of over 500k and ran to America to start a new life. Nah my own star she wan dim, I jump and pass

Lol. Be like say you and hubby fight about it this morning.

Well the truth is, the problem is you and your husband telling people your plans to relocate. If y'all kept mute and focused on your plans as a family, no one will have the nerve to comment on yalls plans. Next time you and your husband should keep your mouths shut and tell no one your family plans until you have your plane tickets in your hands. Even then, you still don't owe anyone gist. Free the woman feeding your husband stories, the problem is your husband that went to tell her una plans.

jokes apart, I dont think it is alright to say something that hurts someone and go on to be surprised because you expect them to realise you were unserious about it. it is much like telling someone " I dont want to say you are useless" and start acting surprised that they are pissed because you could claim you didn't actually say they are useless.

It is even dangerous doing this with text cos the tone of your conversation can easily be missed, and your joke misconstrued; I have experienced this on multiple times to the point that I no longer hold conversations on contentious issues via chats. Moreso, it is not even polite to take a human being as an unserious person, if people do that to you in the truest sense of it, you wouldn't find it funny.
