You didn't see what he wrote in his post I quoted right?

Me knock their heads together? Not at all. Their heads have been knocked together a long time ago. Its just their penchant for twisting scriptures to sustain a scam will not let them be honest enough to admit it

Finally, 'a dirty woman sees her widowhood as an excuse to wallow in poor hygeine'

Joagbaje: Proverbs 6:17-19
A proud look, a lying tongue,
and hands that shed innocent blood,
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies,
and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Actually the verse below is an apt description of you. Are you in doubt? Who is preaching monetary tithes when the Bible expressly defines God's tithe as farm produce?

That is the picture of a thief

The bible has proven over and over that the rebellious who claim to be fighting for fairness are the criminals. Fleshly people without the spirit. Just like judas.

John 12:6
. . .This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief . .

Isn't it funny how Gombs disappears and Joagbaje enters the fray.....hmmmm......is it a relay race? Or there is a law that says they musnt be on the same thread at the same time? Hmmmm

You are spot on there. They have all swallowed kelly's lies because they have rejected the truth. See how wordtalk exposed his messenger here on NL about two years ago.

Thank God for the retreat food. Infact i'll be there again this year God willing grin

Its obvious the only thing you've learnt all your years in DLBC is tithe. Which explains your obsession with tithe and the hell videos until Kumuyi called you to order Thankfully and mercifully, otherwise, we might be talking about a psychological case now.

Olaa, go study the bible for yourself and come discuss like a man. Stop hiding behind the thread of another of over 2 years old. you've used Sproul or whatever, it didn't work. you've twisted the Didache, you've also been found out. Go study your bible more perhaps you'll learn and contribute meaningfully. I've told you before that you're very zealous but not according to knowledge. The day Kumuyi makes an about turn on tithes is when we'll see you shift because you do not think independently.

Be like the Berean Christians and search things out. Only then can you really benefit from the word of God

OLAADEGBU: It was Voltaire, a skeptic that said:

"When it comes to money, everyone is of the same religion."

I think this explains the madness at which these anti tithers are uniting together to fight a common foe, Tithes. It takes the grace of God to do the will of God.
Suddenly you find use for a skeptic because you must chop tithe?

Is that the same way you join forces with Joagbaje, a man whose Church and practices you have been trained and conditioned to detest with passion simply because of tithe? Name one thing you and him agree on apart from tithe? Name one similarity between DLBC and CEC apart from tithe?

May greed and covetousness not injure you.

Gombs: www.nairaland.com/1456343/tithes-offerings-eternal-principles/19

Compare that with this

Doesn't that look like stuff from a confused fellow?

At first he said "they (Levitical priests) must have said thank you" grin Dear Lord!
And that he won't know if I can call that a blessing

grin

Then later he said "You can see an exact form of blessing pronounced on the tither here" grin

People of God From this scripture Deut 14 from 22 was speaking of Tithing principle in the Levitical order...it told them how they should go about it and it ended thus

"that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work
of thine hand which thou doest"

If you notice it had a semi colon...meaning do all that from v22 to 29 then the above will be urs. That's under the levitical order. How does dis mean that the Levitical order blessed the tither? Did Aaron bless any tither? Why not? Because He can't...bible said Melchizedek could because he was greater than Abraham who was in turn greater than Levi who bore the Levitical order.

If then the Levitical order can't bless, Who then was Mal 3v8 refering to? The order that can bles or the one that couldn't?
No mine dear. It shows me as someone honest enough to admit I do not know if Levites pronounce blessing or not on tithers. The bible didn't record it so I refused to speculate, guess or lie like you've been doing since the thread started.

Show where i said the Levite blessed the tither.

That God pronounced a blessing on them is obvious from Deut 14:29. Or you didn't see the blessing there?

You just proved your desperation again by trying to twist what I wrote there in black and white. Meanwhile take a cue from me: admit when u really DO NOT know

Christianity EtcRe: Tithes And Offerings Are Eternal Principles by Candour(m):
Gombs: If it was Mosaic law, show me where Mosaic law blessed tithers
God pronounced blessing on the tither in Deut 14:29. Buy a bible and read it up.

If God gave the law of tithing, Abraham tithed shey? then why don't you tithe? Or God changed his mind about the law which Abraham obeyed?
The problem is whom to tithe to. Abraham tithed to Melchizedek a high priest. I'm now in Christ the reigning high priest and a member of his immediate family so who qualifies to collect tithes from me a priest of God? Or you want to deny your rights as a priest?

How does this explain the Aaronic Priesthood blessing a tither? grin
See your desperation? grin
Aaron had no bigger blessing to give a tither when the Almighty already did. Is that too difficult to understand?

Chai....did Melchizedek or God bless Abraham? If Melchizedek did, that means that order Blesses.
The same order Christ operates. I'm a priest to my God with Christ as my high priest. If you are not, bring me your tithes so I can chop it and bless you wink

Now show me where the order of Aaron (levitical priesthood) blessed the tithers?
God already blessed the tither. You prefer Aaron's blessing or God's?

I am with the Melchizedek order, where papa Abbie payed tithes to. I am comparing the two order which one was related to mal 3v8...and we can see that the levitical order didn't bless the tither, but the Melchizedek's blessed and still blesses
Gombs, you just LIED big time. If you like get a bible printed on planet Mars, God spoke through prophet Malachi about Mosaic tithing NEVER ABRAHAMIC TITHING. No lie from you will change that fact and truth.

I am fully represented in that order because I'm a priest under Christ the high priest. Read through scripture my friend, A FUNCTIONAL PRIEST NEVER PAYS TITHE.

Scroll up I already answered this

And hey!.....I will not answer you again if you don't answer my 9 earlier questions

grin grin

Good advice coming from someone very happy his friend dug up a thread from 2011 just to get much needed support for his tithe scams. It shows who is obsessed with tithes.

When you stop peddling lies about God's tithe. Then I'll stop seeing lies to refute. I'm actually doing very well with my life. I advice you do same and stop seeing tithe as a get rich scheme.
Christianity EtcRe: Tithes And Offerings Are Eternal Principles by Candour(m): 9:58am On Oct 05, 2013
Gombs: How many times would I say We are under Melchizedek's order of tithing not Levitical?

If Mal 3v8 refers to Levitical tithing, show me in the bible where Levitical priests blessed the tither!

I dey wait o!

Or you will use the "it was not recorded" card? grin
Good you are emphatic that we are not under Levitical tithing. What would it take for you to honestly admit that prophet Malachi made a clear reference to Mosaic law? Did you see any reference to Melchizedek there? God who gave the tithe law is the one who blesses. Now have you seen the verse below before

Deut 14:29
'And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest

You can see an exact form of blessing pronounced on the tither here when Moses first gave the tithe law like that in Malachi when God spoke through his prophet to remind his people of their obligation. You can start from verse 22 to get the full gist. God spoke in Malachi about Levitical tithing the same way he spoke in Deut about the same Levitical tithing. God is the one who blesses, not a man in the office of a priest.

Stop your obsession with Levitical tithing law you can't keep or practice. Stick to the Abrahamic tithe which you fancifully think you can defend.

You pronounced yourself as being in Christ. So explain how you are in Christ and still obligated to pay tithes to Christ through an external party to your union with Christ.
Christianity EtcRe: Tithes And Offerings Are Eternal Principles by Candour(m): 7:55am On Oct 05, 2013
@Goshen, indeed you have done very well. I didn't even see that Gombs himself agreed that Levitical tithing law has been abolished yet he and others still hold onto Mal 3:8-12 and Matt 23:23 which are clear and concise references to Levitical tithing.

Isn't that clear dishonesty? You agree something is cancelled by Christ death and resurrection yet you and your pastors bring it through the back door to enforce collection.

May God forgive all conmen and fraudsters using his name to fleece his children. Amen

theoctopus: Please I have two questions for you:

1. What is the priesthood in the new testament?

2. Who is the priest that will collect your tithe in the new testament

3. Which of the tithes are you referring to, because there were 3 kinds of tithes for your information
My bro, Gombs is not referring to any of the tithes of the Mosaic law. He pays tithe based on Abraham's example, not according to Mosaic Tithes.
Christianity EtcRe: Tithes And Offerings Are Eternal Principles by Candour(m): 10:22pm On Oct 04, 2013
Gombs: Your tithe goes to the order of Priesthood...to the order of Mechizedek . When folks during Samuel's time paid tithes, did they pay it to samuel or to the order of priesthood?

I wait your answer, and I still await the 9 questions I asked. If I don't get the answers we are certainly done
Which order are you talking about? Abraham paid to Melchizedek directly because Melchizedek is greater being high priest. Isrealites paid directly to Levites who then gave 10% directly to Aaron and his descendants.

Num18:28
'Thus ye also shall offer an heave offering unto the Lord of all your tithes, which ye receive of the children of Isreal; and ye shall give thereof the Lord's heave offering to Aaron the priest

You can see the priest has a name. The Levites gave to identifiable priests, NOT to an order just like the Levites too are identifiable when they collect from Israelites.

Also, don't confuse yourself. You say I'm in Christ. Then Christ is now the high priest. So how do I being embeded in Christ still pay tithe to the same Christ? I obviously have to pay to another so which other will receive tithe from me in Christ?

Which order will that tithe collector represent? I'll like to know.

Even though your latest questions have rendered the previous ones irrelevant, I'll answer them if you can repost them. I'm on phone and don't know why I can't reproduce them.
Christianity EtcRe: Tithes And Offerings Are Eternal Principles by Candour(m): 9:54pm On Oct 04, 2013
Gombs: Candour couldn't give this answer. Oya explain this bold to Candour why he expects me to give to Jesus physically when I'm already in Abraham like how levi was in Abraham(His seed, Jesus came from Judah, I am in Jesus do the maths)
grin
Thanks mate.
You always shoot yourself in the foot. grin

Since you're in Jesus now and the lesser pays tithe to the greater, who is that priest greater than Jesus that would receive tithes from a child embeded in Christ?

Levi paid tithes not physically but because he was in Abraham when he paid to a greater than him, Melchizedek. Now you're in Jesus so for you to pay tithe now like Levi did, Jesus has to do the tithe paying. So who is the greater that will receive tithes from Jesus(with you and me in him) today?
Christianity EtcRe: Tithes And Offerings Are Eternal Principles by Candour(m): 8:58pm On Oct 04, 2013
Gombs: Irrelevant
Of course you bringing an unborn Levi into the argument was grossly irrelevant. Hope you see it now?

Hebrews 7 v 9-10 AMP
9 A person might even say that Levi [the father of
the priestly tribe] himself, who received tithes (the
tenth), paid tithes through Abraham,
10 For he was still in the loins of his forefather
[Abraham]
when Melchizedek met him [Abraham].

Again I ask...Did Levi give the tithes physically?
So how did the unborn Levi you've been harping about pay tithes while in Abraham, his great grand father? You are the one that raised it so go ahead and tell me. Is that the method you adopt to pay your tithe too?

Hope you see how inane and pedestrian your use of unborn Levi as support is?

It's what the bible said...go and read it
I've read it. Bible only said he also paid tithes with Abraham when Abraham gave tithes physically to Melchizedek. Bible didn't say if Levi used another method. You seem to know so educate me.

Irrelevant. Refer to the above verse
Of course Levitical tithing will be irrelevant to you because you cannot defend it as Christian practice hence your recourse to Abraham's tithe.

How can an unborn foetus give tithe physically? Why do you persist in sounding ridiculous? Are you also paying tithes like unborn Levi? Paying in your ancestors loins? Don't you think that question is not a very intelligent one?

Anyway, let me help you reduce your dilema. Levi didn't pay physically. Hope you're OK now? So do you adopt his format?

Your use of Paul is very laughable. Just remember that there is a difference between tithes and collections. Also remember that we are talking Abraham's tithe here. Whenever you wish to switch to Mosaic tithing, inform me.

Priest is conspicuously absent from the ministry gifts of Eph 4:11 and for the simple reason that our priesthood is now enshrined in Christ. We no longer need any priestly office on earth. Also is your pastor an intermediary between you and God? Let me know if your salvation is inferior to mine and your pastor's.

You asked me 2 questions which i answered and I asked you only one question since morning which you refused to answer and you feel very right to ask me more questions? grin

I'll oblige you bro because I really want you to teach me. I'll answer all the questions you put up but I couldn't reproduce them in this window.

Repost them on a fresh page and I'll try my best God helping.

Cheers.
Christianity EtcRe: Tithes And Offerings Are Eternal Principles by Candour(m):
Gombs: A clever way to dodge my question

My question remain

Did the Levites paid physically to Melchizedek?

I don't see aw that question makes you a levite
grin grin cheesy

You see why you should be sure of whatever you spue out on a public forum? So to justify your tithe, you have suddenly placed yourself on the same pedestal as an unborn, unformed foetus?

Levi was not a distinct person when Abraham paid tithes so it beats the imagination that he suddenly became your example. If you wish to use him and his generations as example, why not use their practice enshrined in the Mosaic law? But you can't because all your tithe premise for Christians will be blown out the window hence your recourse to Abraham's example in the first place.

Your example of Abraham paying to Melchizedek also falls flat on its face because since Melchizedek received directly, you can't give Jesus directly. Don't come up with that drop in church nonsense because you'll need to prove when your pastor became a direct collection agent for Christ.

My Bible tells me am now a priest to my God and need no go between so no mere mortal in the mould of pastor has any right to arrogate any superior priestly power over me. If your pastor can collect tithes, so can I because we have equal rights and status in Christ.

Therefore because we can't pay tithes directly to Christ, nobody pays tithe today. If you still do, for your info pastor has been chopping your money because he has no bigger right than you to collect it. If you bring to me, I'll collect and chop too.

Cheers my bro
Christianity EtcRe: Tithes And Offerings Are Eternal Principles by Candour(m): 4:33pm On Oct 04, 2013
Gombs: Sir, we are talking of paying physically to Jesus abi as Abraham paid physically?

If so, answer whether the Levites paid physically to Melchizedek.

I pay tithe today because of Abraham

I pay my tithes in church...as the scriptures said. Won't answer this question again
My dear, I'm not a levite neither am I blessed after the order of the Levites. If you are following after the example of the Levite, then that is a different matter and I'll advice you to upgrade. 'Abraham's blessings are mine, not Levi's blessings are mine' is the song we sing.

The reference to Levi there is analogous to my unborn children partaking in my actions now because they are in my loins. That should be clear to you I suppose.

Are you an unborn foetus? I believe you're not otherwise you won't be talking to me so don't pattern your tithe after the Unborn Levi.

Since you follow Abraham and he gave His tithes to Melchizedek physically, I ask again.

How do you give tithes to Jesus today?

Abraham gave directly to Melchizedek so stop that bringing to church story. You clearly differentiated tithes from offerings so stick to your definition pls
