alizma:Young man, ignorance is dangerous. So you think Innoson should be held? When your vice president had an unfortunate helicopter crash, you held the manufacturer? Maybe you did not read about the US stealth fighter jet that crashed into the sea a few days ago, worth hundreds of millions of dollars. You also held the manufacturer responsible. Please learn to reason properly. |
Mental slavery never hides. It is like a dress that some people wear everywhere they go. Bitterness, jealousy and envy are pitfalls that some are unable to get out from all their lives. While some insist on buy Nigeria and make Nigeria great, some will remain in one position, slaving for others, choosing to purchase from other countries and make those countries greater. Those are the ones also who steal public funds and stash them abroad, reinforcing their servitude to their slave masters. You have not talked about the fake bullet proof jackets imported for your soldiers to wear or the low quality boots that are imported from your slave masters for them. Please join the military. When you come under fire, you can then decide if the problem is your Innoson vehicle. |
Mynd44:The truth remains that the national assembly deliberately beats about the bush over stealing or looting of public funds. It is no longer a secret that the major aim of our politicians for grabbing power is looting of our common resources. Developed nations thrived on integrity, but China chose an uncommon path...death sentence. If it is impossible to make death sentence the law, why not make it life jail and recovery of the loot? They will not choose that path because most of them will be caught. Rather than do that, they give us some diversionary ideas just to suffocate non political office holders. |
triple996:An example of a secondary school leaver. No common sense. |
Esseite:And where is Diamond bank presently? |
olorunthobby:What a shame that youths like you see stealing as a good way to live. Do not give yourself away as a thief. Meanwhile read Proverbs 6: 30 - 31 without the eyes of a thief: “People do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy his hunger when he is starving. Yet if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold though it costs him all the wealth of his house. ... But verse 31 notes that this hungry thief will still have to pay for what he did sevenfold”. |

“ When a wife out of her own wish without any current justifiable reason seperates from her husband for almost two months and has now decided to return back with the kid out of her own wish without any pressure, should the man accept her back?” Before she left, she would have been disagreeing over one or more issues with her husband. How do you determine “justifiable reason”? Maybe you are the affected person, but if you are not, simple calmly ask what went wrong. Even if the lady was misled by someone, you can also find that something caused it. If the man is satisfied that the issue has bren resolved, what stops him for accepting his wife back? He can joyfully accept his wife back bro. |
triple996:Meanwhile common sense will not let you truthfully tell the whole world how Kano is leading with poverty and almajirism. You will not sensibly tell the world how banditry, killing and illiteracy rule there. |
Please convince Arsene Wenger to go to PSG. I think Wenger can get the best out of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe if Mbappe is convinced to stay. I believe that PSG can win the champions league with those players and Arsene Wenger. |
Nigeria sha What has happened to integrity? What has happened to “little drops of water..”? What has happened to pride and decency? What is wrong with our youths? Shameless thief. Even had the boldness to attack the owner. He should’ve been given the beating of his life. |
FreeStuffsNG:Truly you have given yourself away as quite young and not with near as much as I know. I am a researcher in the history of Lagos and I was born and grew up in different parts of Lagos. “ It's revisionists that call it conquest to give a phoney narrative. That is why none of the descendants of the Benin in Lagos today who actually bear mainstream Yoruba name is an Idejo (landowners) till today and the court records have established that they don't own a land then and today. Let me not go into much details. If it was conquest they will own land. People were going to farm in Iga Idungaran in the day and returning back home in Otto until Aromire and co chose to settle on the other side of the Atlantic. All these happened before the Portuguese and their cousin migrants from Benin arrived in Lagos”. That’s copy and paste and not what we know. May be you need to see me to talk about it for free, if you like history and information. |
FreeStuffsNG:I know Lagos much more than you bro, not just because I am a historian and have its history from the days of the Benin conquest under oba Orhogbua and claim that Lagos was a Benin war camp, but also a physical experience of how Lagos was and worked up till the eighties. I have always followed the history of Lagos since when it was named Lagos de Curamo by the Portuguese, the Obas, Eyo, Lagos Island as a whole, etc. I can tell you so much about Otto, Yaba and Ebute metta, my young friend. Yaba is no longer what it was. Domino stores was one of those names in Yaba that you could not miss. The name was very prominent. The Bruces were part of those who made Yaba tick, just as you cannot talk of Yaba without mentioning Bobby Benson and his brother TOS Benson. Social life at a time hovered around Yaba. You can discuss it further if you want to know more. The Lagos that I always knew was very serene, enjoyable and peaceful. |
FreeStuffsNG:Yaba was always the center of activities in Lagos up till the eighties. That’s where you had the stores and the schools. At that Yaba bus stop every student gathered after school to talk and enjoy. The same went for Ojuelegba, Obalende, Lawanson, Oyingbo. All those years were very beautiful. There were no visible tribal tendencies, until these same politicians appeared and ruined everything. |
FreeStuffsNG:Your comment only exposes that fact that you do not know much about Lagos. Bola Tinubu’s visit had nothing to do with politics. It had to do with the fact of the history of Murray-Bruce family in Lagos and his personal relationship with the family. You cannot talk about the history of super stores in Lagos without mentioning Domino stores, owned by the Bruce family. You cannot talk about beauty pageants in Nigeria with mentioning Ben Murray Bruce. You cannot talk of Yaba in Lagos without mentioning the Bruce family. There are so many families like that who added to the grace and prominence of Lagos state, before your APC politicians brought their sadness and sorrow into the Nigerian political space. Bola Tinubu has known this family for ages. In times like this you visit your friends to commiserate with them, irrespective of political affiliation. |
Anyhow e do am Uzodimma should serve his one term and waka abeg. And hopefully they are not trying to empower the youths on yahoo yahoo. |

The arrogance and confidence of these fellows will consistently expose them. |
Xcelinteriors:After money don enter your hand. Your own dey your body. |
Great! Let’s go there. Victory for the citizens. |
The truth OP is that you did not have a farthing in your pocket to make that purchase. It was a very deliberate and childish act on your part. You blocked her because you knew that your lie had expired. It happens all the time with people like you who window shop online. Rather than look and end it there, you contact the seller acting as if you want to buy, bringing up the hope of the seller and finally dodging the seller. The Lady too is an inexperienced seller. You must ensure that your buyer is serious and committed. You must have phone numbers of haulage drivers, so you do not go on a wasted journey. |
Uptheante:That’s why your head looks like agbalumo seed and your eyes like an owl’s eyes. |
Good life |
Aboks:How can you compare this ugly vampire with ewa? |
The courts must sort this matter out. |
kingsways:A owu man talk you talk so. Tell yourself this: Owu shall not be my portion. |
Women sef. Now now she don collect her copy as baby mama. Jagbajantis intete! |
When passports are issued abroad, you get paperwork covering the cost. How is it so? OP is this true? Do not label a dog a bad name to hang it. |
All the sharing untop of our votes. Sharing also includes money. And they will always tell their members that their party does not condone corruption. |
ViperAda:Ok Mr. Sabi. Thankfully we all agree that Innoson motors only assembles and markets their vehicles ONLY IN THEIR NAME. Let’s leave Innoson for now and clarify things: 1. You market a particular product and you find that it is popular in the market. Preferably a daily use product. You decide (like Mike Adenuga did with tinned Tomato in 1981) to manufacture it locally. You get to China, get the equipment together to start a manufacturing plant. You put together your factory in Nigeria, source your materials from wherever you choose, produce your brand, sell and become a household name. How is it that you have become a subsidiary of the Chinese company? How then did Adenuga’s business here become a subsidiary of the company where he got his equipments from? Note that there are thousands of manufacturers here in that mould. 2. Next I choose to import from an OEM in China or any other Asian country. They produce in my brand name and I happily market my products locally here. I get my trademark, so that jealous and tribal people like you will not steal it. I rely on the OEM for my products. I have a choice to get other other OEM companies (because OEMs are not reliable), as long as they can manufacture my specification. Am I not in this case at the wimps and caprices of the Chinese OEM? What if they fail me when I need them most. 3. Again oga Sabi, you can choose to register a company in China or any other Asian country of your choice and start off a factory. You can manufacture products and ship your products to Nigeria and other countries for sale. What can you be called here? 4. You can choose to partner with a Chinese company to establish a factory in this country, produce and market your products here. How can you be addressed? Hopefully oga, you have read some of the possibilities. Well if you have not experienced it practically, you can only thrive in speculation and ignorance. Your ignorance can only be a product of hatred arising from nothing, that you grew up with. Now back to Innoson: Car assemblies have designers just as there are designers who stand-alone. If Innoson is a subsidiary, where is the parent company? Why does he go by the name Innoson instead of proudly maintaining the parent name? How can you say that Honda motors as a parent company and popular as it is, will give another name to its subsidiary in another country? Bros you dey think at all? As an organization of its own, with its own trademark and brand name, with its own Assembly plant, what stops Innoson from getting components from organizations of its choice to assemble its brand and market? Please do not give yourself away as an “educated illiterate”. What you do not know and have not experienced l, please listen and ask questions for proper information. |
walemoney007:That’s why we must push for price control. That’s why government must allow trade to thrive and unfair advantages taken away from certain manufacturers. That’s why competition must be allowed to thrive. Dangote and BUA in the cement sector readily come to mind. With Dangote/PAN, choices increase for Nigerians. Innoson is just one company. Painfully the looters of the economy get away with it daily. Stolen wealth is taken to other countries and stacked in banks; used in purchasing properties and making the economies of those countries stronger. Our local manufacturers must be praised and encouraged. Even the little manufacturers matter. Cheers. |

The building has been demolished today but even I grew up seeing its relic in the heart of Ebute Meta East.
