In one breath, he says in all fairness, presidency should go to the East, and says no one should vote for APC, but what those punks will NEVER say is that the party they prefer zoned their ticket to their region since they've made it abundantly clear they dispise APC.

How you people find it so easy to abuse people who you aspire to get to their levels is worrisome. How would a youth like you feel if you or your father are addressed as scoundrels. And by the way, if the Igbos have chosen PDP as their only party, why does APC control two states in the SE? The last governorship election in Anambra state showed APC making further inroads in the SE. You simply cannot continue to think that at this level where we are as a nation, the SW should simply collaborate with the north to secure the presidency. Politicians do not see it the way you see it. In politics there are a lot of calculations, agreements and disagreements to arrive at their conclusions. That’s why also you hear of power sharing before going to election, so that all can know their standing early enough.

The truth remains that the north has spent eight years on the basis of the unwritten agreement. Whatever you find today in the PDP obtains in the APC and other parties. The APC convention therefore will see the north getting the chairmanship of the party and just like the PDP, deliberately want to retain the presidency in the north. That’s why you see someone like Tinubu making his moves early to ensure that power returns to the south.

Now when you talk about fairness and equity, then you must also look at the SE. The two parties should also consider micro zoning to the SE. If however it does not work, then the presidency should at the worst be left in the south.

If you look at the north also, will you not say there is a form of marginalization going on? Is the north central not part of this country? When will the north central get its own chance with the greed of politicians from the NW?

We must get to the stage where we must ask ourselves if we want this country to remain as one? Those who clamour for Oduduwa and Biafra republics are not so stupid as we think. The principal reason is this same issue of marginalization. We must ensure that all Nigerians have a sense of belonging.

Lastly note that our politicians have caused so much disunity and pain. Nigeria has never been so divided and troubled. Our politicians are our problems and not us the voters.

How northern politicians started clamoring for power to remain in the north after eight years of wickedness under APC is worrisome. How they came up with the theory that they have been cheated since 1999 is mind boggling.

One does not need a prophet to predict the disintegration of APC in 2023 because of their shortsighted, leadership failure and the hardship inflicted on the citizens in seven years of misrule.

PDP has strong candidates, youthful and with what is required to lead this country to greater heights. Opportunity must be given to professionals in politics in the south to lead this nation and not the north.
