The law states that the delegates from states must be there unless court limits them base on rivalry
It means illegal delegates joined in affirming obi
Voice votes as unanimous is still the same as voting cos they must all sign to it
You can see it's not about whether it's last year, it's about illegal process
No common sense.
INEC did not monitor and yet the same INEC accepted and uploaded the lists presented for the elections. Without accepting and uploading the lists, how could the candidates have proceeded to election?
Where is the illegality, with what INEC on it's own accepted and applied?
When im dey see better money, which eye e wan take see evil spirit? When e don arrange all the lies, how e no go dey give us more lies? Watch out for what he will say very soon when secrets begin to put out, after he leaves that office.
seunmsg: The judgement stands until it is set aside by a superior court. And in the interest of justice and equity, Alex Otti should not be sworn in on May 29. Ikpeazu should remain in office till the Supreme Court rules on the matter.
In eight years, her husband spent so much on medical tourism, without putting together such a hospital. With his retirement comes also the medical package in any hospital of his choice. She fled to Dubai at a time, while they systematically impoverished the citizens. Even her husband stated that he could japa to Niger, after asking youths to remain in Nigeria to continue suffering.
They travel abroad for medical tourism and at the same breathe intend to stop doctors from pursuing their futures abroad. Which kind witchcraft pass that one abeg?
Very foolish move by the man. What if something terrible happens and he loses the children? I think it was a very wrong decision by him and his wife.
There are different methods of avoiding pregnancy. Couples are often advised on the methods. Even though they are not full proof, they are better for the man than vasectomy.
The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) sitting at the Court of Appeal in Abuja on Friday, May 19, continued hearing on petitions filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar; the Labour Party and its presidential candidate Peter Obi challenging the outcome of the presidential election.
The court heard the application by LP and Obi for live broadcast of the proceedings.
At the resumed pre-hearing on Friday, the tribunal reserved ruling in the application filed PDP and Atiku Abubakar for a live broadcast of the tribunal’s proceedings of its petition.
Justice Haruna Tsammani, the presiding judge of the Tribunal reserved ruling, at a later date to be decided by the court, after lawyers of the respective respondents and petitioners made their arguments and submissions on the application.
Meanwhile, The acting National Chairman, Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa, has kept his word on returning to the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, following his attempt on Wednesday.
Apapa was spotted seated at the back of the courtroom as opposed to the area reserved for Labour Party representatives.
This comes after his brief appearance at the tribunal two days ago, where he attempted to occupy one of the seats reserved for LP leaders. He was however resisted by some party members, resulting in a shouting match.
Why im no siddon for area reserved for LP representatives? He certainly told himself the truth and also conducted himself with humility.
This man completely mastered the art of fraud and looting of public funds.
It is unfortunate that with our politicians Nigerians will remain miserable. To think that he is bold to say it publicly, also puts a seal on the claim that “nothing go happen”.
Ofunaofu: Not only that the court lacks jurisdiction.
This is a pre-election matter and according to section 285 of the constitution, all pre-election matter must be filed within 14 days of the event. This case was filed on the 11th day of May, 2023. Alex Otti emerged as the gubernatorial candidate of labour party for Abia State during the primaries held in June 2022
From a mere look, the case is status bared but the judge who is notorious in bribe taking, must have collected money to give this kangaroo judgement having been previously suspended by the NJC in 2016
Finally he will leave the job in disgrace, that judge.
Rostikol: The culture of killing twins was confined to less than 0.0000000000000000000001 of the African population. I personally know of one subset of an Igbo community that engaged in this practice out of all the ethnic groups in Africa. They were outliers, and it was not a common practice AT ALL in Africa.
I think you have not well researched before posting. Kindly take your time to look through to avoid undue exaggeration. Your topic is very interesting and can give us too many insights.
Respectfully, I need you to look through and you will find evidence of the painful destruction African traditional beliefs caused the people, through infanticide.
RepoMan007: Please research the value of yam in cote d'voire. Abidjan and see how we are punishing ourselves in Nigeria because of retrogressive think/farming and greed.
Yam is like garri over there and cheaper than zobo. Just research it online small.
23k will get you far far more than what 10 tubers of yams can ever achieve in hungerland.
In that area, including Oko Ogbele, Anala, Amakom, across the river Niger at Ogbaru as a whole, the problem is not retrogressive thinking or farming. The problem remains the government and the economy. Without dredging of the river, flooding will commence sometime in august. Now already river Niger has started swelling and the race against time for yams, cassava and potatoes has started. Already with the rains a few days ago, farmers planted potatoes. Now when the river overflows, it is about harvest time. A lot of the farmers do not have enough time to harvest their crops and many are lost to flooding.
There is no provision for storing of crops anywhere. Whatever they get, they quickly take to the markets to make the most of it and get back for the same process. There is no assistance in anyway from the governments of Delta and Anambra states for storage or preservation.
Insecurity is a very big challenge with farmers. It is a very big challenge in Delta state. Herdsmen cause many forms of havoc in Delta too.
Again, the entire process of farming yams has become very expensive. You rent lands, buy seedlings exorbitantly, hire labour to tend, purchase herbicides, etc. What about poor access roads, transportation problems, etc. When you factor all these things in, you can then see why prices are very high.
gidgiddy: Im an Anambra man and if Soludo actually said that 8 LGA's in Anambra were being controlled by criminals, then he has lost it
Which LGA? There is no LGA controlled by criminals in the South East, what we have is criminality same as anywhere else, even much worse in some places where bandits are collecting tax
Don't mind the yeye man. He removed the criminals and imposed thugs and touts all over the state in the name of vigilante groups.
wwwkaycom: Obidients are very good at unruly behaviors, their lose at the polls have affected them so much and left them with post election loss trauma and agony of losers. That is why they showcase their nuisance values everywhere they go.
RIP to English.
Please write in your native language next time for clarity.
How is Matawalle better than Emefiele, corruption wise? With all the stories of unaccounted gold and funds stolen in Zamfara state under his watch, how can he make such a comment?
Matawalle is in no position to make such a request. Those who go to equity must have clean hands.
Prof. Let me ask you. What is the essence of the election when all it takes to fail is 'not make' 25% in FCT?
It means even though you win the entire 36 states with 98%. Not getting 25% in FCT means another election of 300bn will be re-conducted.
All it takes is political actors without any road to victory or path to majority votes, making sure they block any body from getting 25% in FCT; by crook or hook.
All it takes is political parties focusing on FCT only and giving middle fingers to the other states. They can even try importing people to vote from all the remaining 36 states into FCT.
People will sowore and others who knows they cant win will just campaign only in FCT, bribe the residents and make sure the votes are split. Then we will keep repeating election till thy-kingdom-come without president.
As a Prof,e make sense? Is this logical?
Always talking rubbish. Where is the logic in the very clear and straight forward English? How does the word “and” resemble the word “include”? If common sense allows you, then you can interpret that portion in your language to get clear proof.
Drafters of the so called contentious section used the appropriate word, to the best of their knowledge, but unfortunately people like you fail to see it, because your thoughts are negatively aligned on one path.
We all await the judges to put a final end to the matter.
Benwallt: Put Ibo and a goat on the ballot. The goat will win. They haven't realised what Pandora has done to their political trajectory. He has grind it into a halt. Their votes has become useless going forward
Well unfortunately, a hen is more intelligent than you are.
“He has grind it to a halt..”. Olodo. Get your English right first.
dapsoneh: Must he build hospital? Building new hospitals isn't the priority of all govt, the tantrum should have been 'your dad did not maintain the hospitals' Not all Govs must build new hospital He can build new hospitals and not equip them, Akpabio is a prime examples So, maintenance of previously existing with human and non- human resources is key
