Someone told me that I should visit the thread cos you wrote a poem for me.

Not one poem,not two,but three. I noticed that even when people started teasing you cos I did not respond(not intentionally though),they did not make you change your mind. You wrote that no one would stop you.

You followed me up to the single ladies thread just to introduce your self. I admired your bravery. Oh Yes I do.

so I decided to pause and address the issue to led to all this. There is a lot to learn from it.

I am not trying to please anybody,cos my explanation is not important but I would like to say that its a pity that this is the stage I have found myself.

I don't like it ,but at the same time I can't help it. That of Chike orji pained me the most cos he was my first friend here,and I never hesitated to tell him that. I remember the reply to his mail I sent to him,I wrote

Adeniyi. A mentioned a proverb about ladies missing the right man because of the way they behave. He is very correct,and I will indulge every lady(including me) to heed to that advise. He also wrote"should I stop using a razor because I had a cut"?

Of course not,but you must agree with me that you will only use it when neccesary and you will not lift it in hurry. You do it gently. That is exactly what is happening to me now,but maybe am taking it too far


Youngalex wrote about a girl that gave him her number but has refused to pick his call. Well I don't know the lady ,her age,or her reason for behaving like that,but then she might be in my shoes. Maybe she is scared

Perharps she gave it to you,cos she has been keeping to herself for a long time ,then someone spoke to her,about being friendly(just like dailynews told me). So she decided to give you a trial(reluctantly).


Also don't forget that you met her online. More than 70% of Nigerians do not believe in online dating. It is full of scam. Maybe someone has talked fear into her,so she does not want to go ahead with it anymore. She is expecting you to get tired of calling ,and finally stop.


Personally,one thing I don't like is that part where both parties agrees to finally meet offline. What happens if one of you gets disappointed at what he /she finally saw?.

You know picture and real life is never the same. Sometimes,the picture is better than the real person,sometimes the real image is better than the picture. In such cases,it takes only the MATURED minds to actually go for quality character other than physical appearance.

I don't know what the reason is but I want guys here to know that it takes a lot for a broken woman to fall in love again.I know that what I did was not neccesary(I mean telling someone your tribe and religiion is not a big deal) but that is to tell you how withdrawn my experiences has made me be. It has costed/caused me a lot of things,but am just scared of trying again.

All men are not the same,but how do you identify them without getting close?.I don't completely blame men for my mistakes. These days I choose to say,"I did not play my cards well".

Ichidodo,wrote something about respecting 'my space'.Then this must be very serious.If some one who has not met me realife,can perceive my attitude,and has decided to give me my space,then I can only imagine what I must have done to my self offline.lol

Now, for years now, he had been pestering me to find him a girl to marry, that any girl I recommend, that he would go for, cos he trust me so much, and I told him I can't, reason that I hardly mix up with the opp sex, which he refused to accept and told me to go for fishing for him, and I refused...

just some days before I contacted Carmelion, I had been telling him that he should pray, that there is someone I have met via internet, that I am convinced that the lady is a wonderful lady, and would make a good partner...I told him a lot, and even gave him link to this thread, and after going through it, he asked me if it is so so and so person, and I said yes...he said she sounds wonderful, that I should maybe arrange a meetup with her, and so he could come down immediately this Easter...I told him to calm down and let me chat with her first to find out her tribe and religious denomination (becos he told me he wanted an Igbo lady from a good christian background).
