Politics › Re: Rivers: Fubara Yet To Withdraw Suit Against 27 Lawmakers by Caseless: 11:21pm On Dec 21, 2023
TruthsFM:
The action of Governor Siminalayi Fubara not to withdraw the suit against Rt. Hon. Martins Amaehwule and his 25 friends before the Rivers State High Court today, and the subsequent adjournment of the suit till January 31, 2024 by the Hon. Justice Ben Whyte, already explains that the Governor will not take any step to erase the trust placed on him by the people of Rivers state.

Irrespective, it is my informed belief that the Governor will pursue the path of peace but such peace will not be at the expense of Rivers people who he swore to serve.

Tonye Barcanista ✍️
You guys should give up already.

Fubara should not have started the fight this early.
Romance › Re: What Do You Do When You Have An Insecure Partner by Caseless: 11:15pm On Dec 21, 2023
eazzzy1:
It is your duty to make your partner secure. If she doesn’t want you to go out, insist on her coming with you. When you receive calls from female clients put your phone on speaker and keep the call short and straight to business.

Give her access to your phone and the right to go through it whenever she wants. Let her be able to answer your calls if you aren’t willing or available to answer. She is suspecting you because you have given her a reason to and only you can give her a reason to trust you.

In my opinion, getting angry over a partner’s insecurity is usually proof of guilt. If you were innocent her insecurity will be cute to you.
Not that easy, bro. It's like being accused of what you didn't do. It'd hurt you and might push you into doing it.

Let's watch and see. Nigeria government have successfully turned Nigerians to be Thomas, no longer believing what they hear from the government but seeing.

That's to say seeing is believing. Until I see petroleum products from the refinery hitting the street, I ain't believing.

Buhari scamming Pro Max loading...

This no be issue of me not wanting Nigeria to work. This promises have been going on even before I was born in the 80s but here we are today. More promises upon promises and still nothing to show for it.

It seems that Nigeria is more talented in creating problems than solving one. One example is the scarcity of Naira. The problem has been created and every ending of the year it will resurface just like scarcity of PMS, not being able to provide substantial megawatts of electricity to power the industries, SMEs, etc.

Tinubu on swearing in pronounced subsidy gone and promised palliative, up till now, nothing.

The npower has been promised too, until now, nothing. 30k to the civil servants, how many months have gone still no wave from the government and many numerous promises made that their gullible followers are applauding.

Buhari did so with Dangote refinery and it took them months before production started and still the major commodity which is the PMS we were told have not started been produced.

Like I said, until PMS from PH refinery hitting the street, I ain't believing...

Until we start getting serious in this country, there's nothing tangible will be achieved.
Una get problem sha. So, Dangote refinery is still a pipe dream to you? You just love bad news.

Hmm.

The questions remain:
How will it work?
Does this so called “directive” supercede the constitution? As it stands, Edison Ehie is recognized as the speaker.
Publicly 27 members decamped to APC from PDP and by that have lost their seats.
How has the name of Amewhule returned, when he has lost his seat by law?
What will happen to the commissioners who of their own volition resigned?
So the 5 men who are recognized should suddenly give up their positions just like that?
INEC should simply tear the notice of vacant seats from the house or ignore it?
The budget has been signed. How can it be presented again?
The commissioners who resigned should just get back to their offices without screening again?

Please these are the issues. Is it not that this so called directive is set to further cause problems in the state? Is it so simple as that to withdraw the cases from court?
What if PDP at the national level insist that the 27 are no longer with them?

Maybe we should keep watching events as they unfold.

By the way, thank God that all went well with Nairaland and they can keep growing.
Ehie was also suspended by the house before the members decamped.

There are organizations against paternity fraud, look for them, and they can lead you to their own partners to run it. Don't let your wife to know about it.

Or

Tell your wife you're trying to raise some money to move she and her baby abroad. But one condition for visa application is marriage certificate, some test and prove that your wife is your wife and the baby is a product of your loins.

Do this and watch her turn in. Women love enjoyment. Show love while trying to get her to do this.

Impeach that guy asap.

No time, after the impeachment, he can go to court.

I don't support illegalities but once someone feed and in live in it, there's need to ruthlessly deal with him.

Demolishing the state house is hight of lawlessness.

Passing budget by four people is treasonable.

Moving the four people to your bedroom to do your biddings is unsurpation.

Declaring vacant the seat of the majority of the house by four people is treasonable and punished by death.

Do you have a quorum to seat talk more of deliberating?

Illegalities can't be used to cure illegalities.

There's a court judgement on ground before the bought judgement at the state high court, if the judge didn't vacate the useless order, he should be recommend for sack by the NJC.
The thing is, the Ehie that's declaring seats vacant was duly suspended by the old house before they decamped. Is he legally positioned to emerge as speaker or declare any seat vacant? This and many other issues we'll find answers to very soon.

I don't want to believe anything coming from People's gazette in a daily trust link on nairaland, but if this is true, then we have never had it so bad with leadership of the judiciary in Nigeria.

Justice Dattijo mentioned some of these powers Ariwoola wields and how so much power corrupts absolutely.

This CJN was seen siding with APC and putting Seyi down in Ibadan. He's appointing his people into positions and he was seen recently bowing down to Ganduje. We're in a bad time.

That's up to LP and those who sponsored their ticket. We must begin to look beyond party and focus on the substance of the individual.

Very weird take.

Last it was checked, Abia is one of the states with the least multidimensional poor people. And while you're at the debt table, are you aware that Lagos, the crown jewel of Nigeria, is actually sitting on a total debt stock of 2 trillion naira, which is about 30 times the total debt stock of Abia State.

That's for the pride of Africa. Maybe you should keep off this discussion.
You look at the potential of both states to pay back, Lagos is in a better position. What's the IGR of Abia?
Politics › Re: Labour Party Drops Petition Against Fubara by Caseless: 6:41am On Dec 17, 2023
Obaofaba:
Labor party has lost it since they were infiltrated by the tickets hunters.

You claimed the election was rigged, you have the court to seek redress but chicken out because the supposed winner is quarrelling with his godfather.

The other one is in abia state borrowing more than 400 billion naira at a go.

It has never happened before in Nigeria that a very poor state like abia will go into debt of 400 billion naira in a year.

Add the figure to the debt on ground and see how their future is being morgaged but Tinubu GCFR and Yoruba will be their problem but take the earliest night bus to Lagos in search of greener pastures after helping to install an anti people government in their region.

I thought the only achievement of Obi was the money he saved and the claim he never borrow a dime, you guys were agog with that all through the electioneering period, will you now call out otti for going against the party's manifesto abi the party no get am?
That's I don't any LP voice supporting Fubara and condemning Wike seriously. They actually hate Wike for making them to lose in Rivers, so it's time to get back at him.

I hope u read to understand. I am condemning both Bello and Fabura.
Like I said, the Obidence movement was never about a better Nigeria, it was about tribalism and hate. I am suprised these clowns (i hope u not one of them) are now rallying behind the same person they claimed to have been rigged in by Wike against their candidate. We all know why that assembly complex was demolished and we all know why Bellow destroyed that road. So y'all can keep lying to yourself that the full complex needed to be demolished cos of a fire outbreak in a small portion of the expansive complex.
My post was actually agreeing with you.

I hate Bello for his violent tendencies. Wike is like Bello too, but he performed. I'm even angry at that bigheaded Fubara for demolishing the assembly complex - he had an explosive planted there in the first place.

You'll pass through the dangerous sahara desert, get to Libya, if you're lucky. To get to that seaside, the human traffickers can take you to slavery after beating the hell out of you, if they discover that you are not properly covered by an agent.

I learnt the temporary boat cannot cross you over to the other side, rather, it'd be moved by wave until the rescue team comes - that's your only way to cross. My God!!!

So we are still on this.

Nearly a quarter of a century after this country's return to civil rule - and the tier of government that's closest to the people is still in slavery? undecided

This country is going nowhere fast. The steps to deepen this democracy (and make it work the way proper democracies should) are right in front of us. We either take them or we don't.

Contact your SHA lawmaker right now and tell him/her that there will be electoral consequences if local governments are not allowed to do their jobs. This joint account nonsense has got to go. If your lawmaker doesn't respond with answers, remind him/her of your powers of recall. And if your state governor ignores your views on this matter - send him a message that you'll be waiting for him at the polls.

Do something.

Now.
It's not that easy. I don't know why framers of the constitution were so stupid not to make the state assembly, State electoral commissions, State house of assembly, LGs, State judiciary, etc, not truly independent, but kept under the control of the governor.

In fact, some SHAs voted against giving autonomy in the last constitutional amendment exercise.

The state should be detached from the LGs and should not be the ones conducting elections for them. They should stop this appointments of LGs chairmen.
