obyno82: Try and read in between the lines. In Togo Ethiopian Air also has ownership shares in ASKY airlines but the leasing agreement is clear. This one is so shady why fly in an aircraft that 5 days ago was already flying for another airlines. This is clearly shady, it is just all for show definitely. You guys don't read, hence the reason people like David think for you. The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika has disclosed reasons why the Federal Government picked Ethiopian Airlines as the preferred bidder for the National Carrier, Nigeria Air.
The Minister said Ethiopian Airlines was the only airline that responded to its requests for expression of interest and fulfilled all the stipulated conditions laid down by Nigeria.
Explainer: Can HIV Be Transmitted Through Drinks
Sirika who disclosed this while presenting the scorecard of the ministry in Abuja on Thursday said other airlines in the world ignored Nigeria’s call to join hands with her to float a national carrier despite the fact that he personally went to the airlines and met with them at several air shows and international aviation forums to convince them to partner with the country.
He, however, said that the airline proved that it is not only efficient and prosperous by registering over $1bn profit after tax even in the wake of COVID-19 but has continued to flourish despite the challenges in the aviation sector globally.
He added, “We did not cede Nigeria Air to Ethiopian Airlines. It is the only airline in the world that made $1 billion profit even during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the most prosperous, efficient and leading airline in the African continent and it was the only airline that responded to our request for partnership to run the airline after many months of advertisement of expression of interest.
“Even after some interested persons asked Nigeria to extend the time of EoI and we did, none of them showed interest. Officials of the ministry of aviation led by me personally visited some of the leading airlines across the world and pleaded with them to take up the partnership with Nigeria to set up the airline, none of them signified interest except Ethiopian Airlines, which has been allotted 49 per cent shares while Nigerian institutional investors take up 45 per cent while the federal government will take up only five per cent.
“The choice of Ethiopian Airlines is good for Nigeria and it is in line with the African Union Agenda. Our desire is for Africa to come together and lead the African aviation market through our new partnership with Ethiopian Airlines. The partnership will also reduce cost of operations and airfares for Nigerian and African air travellers as opposed to the current situation.
“Contrary to what people think, let it be known that Ethiopian Airlines emerged as the preferred partner of Nigeria Air through a transparent and credible process that cannot be faulted because we want the project to succeed so that Nigeria can have an airline that does not suffer the fate of the former Nigeria Airways.” |

the party ward executive in Uromi in ward 3 lacked the power under the Labour Party Constitution, particularly Act 13 & 17 and the Electoral Act 2022, as amended to remove the national chairman of the party. This action of using the ward excos to remove party chairmen must stop. They did Oshiomhole, Secondus, Iyorcha Ayu,etc. Oshiomhole won in court and that should have put an end to the practice, but it's still taking place. If you leave the power to remove party men to their ward, they can be easily manipulated and controlled. |

I really didn't want to go to Uk I love my life here in Nigeria tho things are hard.. it's still my home I feel more connected to my father's land. Going to abroad is not my plan. My mother thinks I'm possessed by spirit that want me to not succeed. My uncles have pleaded with me to go and join my mum and sis in UK.
I was given UK visa last year, refused to join my sister that traveled this May honestly I don't want to move to Uk. I know how hard life can be in 9ja but i still love this country. Mumsi says she is really dissapoinmented in me for staying back. Did I do anything wrong? I don't know why it has never been my thing to think I must travel out before I make it. I always believe I'll make it here, then travel on holidays to foreign land and not on certain visas that i'd be running up and down. If your story here is true, I don't think anything is wrong with you. But if you don't have anything solid you're doing currently, go to UK and try it out. Maybe go and hustle some capital to come and start your dream business here in Nigeria. |

esemes256: Currently teaching my wife. Every new day of teaching seems like we are starting afresh. It's as if when she goes to bed, she forgets everything she has learnt.
I am patient with her though. I know she will break through with constant practice.
I myself learnt how to drive in 2021. For the first six months it looked like I will never master the skill of driving. Fast forward to 2023, I now drive interstate confidently.
What helped me was taking the initiative to learn alot of things myself, even watching YouTube videos and the likes. I didn't learn how to drive, I just saw people drive and I took a car out. It was a bit patchy(The experience) , it was a busy day on the roads in my city and this led to an issue so didn't actually end well. An okada guy trying to be mad and I went for him and he escaped and I just picked a man selling garden eggs and threw him over a rail, the okada man I had targeted escaped. That was how I got into sh1t that day. I was arrested and the man was admitted at a military hospital. When I saw the problem caused by me that and the "talks" that day, I took a break from driving until I could buy my own car. Years later, when I was to resume driving or learning, I did with a manual rickety Golf 2 and from that back to automatic was like a play. Alhamdulillah... Like they say, the rest is history. |

Until one day he decided to have faith in me and teach, that was the first time and almost the last time I would enter the driving seat of a car long story short, I ended up ramming his rear bumper into another parked car. He had to pay for both his damaged car and the other person's. Omo, he did not talk to me almost 2 weeks any food I cook he will tell me he doesn't have appetite. Family › Re: Worried About My 1year Marriage! by Caseless: 4:38am On May 26, 2023 |
Mokole2023: Dear Nlders,
I cant say if this problem is peculiar and I would sincerely appreciate mature comments and suggestions.
My marriage is just about a year old though I had an on/off online friendship with my now-wifey since 2017 before we decided to get serious late 2021. Our physical courtship was kinda brief - about 6 months - while we both resided in the same state but different Cities (about 3hrs apart).
I used to be very sexually active in my previous relationships - trust me when i say I'm quite good in bed - but with my now-wifey, I decided to limit the sex part cos i felt at a man's age (tho my sisters also advised same) that there r other things to look out for in a woman. So basically, we did not get too intimate during courtship. Worryingly, even the few times we did it, I rarely got to orgasm cos she couldn't match my stamina.
Fast forwards to 1 month into the marriage, I was diagnosed with High blood pressure which the doctors advised BP drugs might affect my libido but it will later regulate/normalize. Then the problems started! First, I get aroused normally with good turgidity enough to penetrate my Wifey's tight "body" but I tend to loose erection after some mins of thrusting and that's the end. Never comes back on again. Few times I was able to finish but that's not without alot of mental imagination to make me finish ontime.
Very worryingly for me, I decided to check myself with other women and dear readers, I achieved stronger turgidity and no fail moment. That was my first shock.
Summarily, my wife and I still dont live together but this situation has gone worse now. I got no sexual feelings towards her and na by force we dey manage run 1 round in weeks. Meanwhile, I get sex requests from other girls on a daily. I'm very sad about this situation especially when i look at my wife because she ought to be enjoying this thicke alone forever.
As a man, you can imagine how you'd feel when your woman feels ur impotent while other women are bugging you for your time.
Various extreme thoughts have crossed my mind and I'm seriously bothered which isn't even good for my health. Should i confess to my wife?
I await your responses, suggestions and advice.
Many thanks, Don't confess anything to her- this could put your marriage under more pressure. Just stop sleeping with other women and things would fall in place. There's no man out there that enjoys sleeping one woman always. You just have to regulate it. Many men complain of being tired of their wives sexually, but that doesn't they turn randy like you have become. |

Weather you agree with me or not, the reality on ground is that, the opportunity to see this country work even a little in our life time has reduced by 8 years.
You can't keep repeating the same thing and expect a different result. Nigeria cannot change until we the electorate change our voting pattern.

Warri should serve as a lesson to them The whole of Southsouth and southeast is hostile to business and outsiders. Their communities feel their giving you access to heaven,so you must worship them. Everybody will want to bill you. I don't know what the trucks coming to load would have been subjected to if this was situated in any southeastern or southsouthern state. South west remain the best place for investment in the whole of southern Nigeria. |
Properties › Re: The Act That Inspires Me In My New Street In Calabar (photos) by Caseless: 7:11am On May 24, 2023 |
Chifriend: So I recently packed into this street in the heart of Calabar called Mekenge Layout and I have noticed something unique.
Since Water Board stopped functioning in the state, water has been a challenge to the residents of Calabar. This has made many resort to digging personal borehole for private use.
In other houses that do not have borehole, access to water remains a huge challenge to them.
The compound I recently packed into is just a single room with no water. So sourcing for water is still a challenge to us without borehole.
However, while majority of the compounds are upstairs (big houses) and have borehole, none of them care to remember those who don't have. An exception to this is a bungalow (a small house) who decided to give out the water generally and FREELY to anyone who needs it.
This amazes me a lot and show me a great lesson to learn.
It simply tells me that to give is not by having it all before you can give.
It shows even when you have it all, you may not still give.
It also shows that who may help you in life might not be the richest person, but he who is willing to help you.
There is even a hotel in the same street but the hotel don't give water. This could have at least formed part of their corporate social responsibilities, but they don't.
This should be a lesson to you that who will help you in this life might not be who has it all.
What is your take on this?
Picture 1 & 2 - showing showing houses in the street. In the north, it seems there's an unwritten law that says once you have borehole in your house, you extend it outside for others to fetch- those who don't have. I think it's in the south everyone sells water once it's extended outside. God bless the house that gives you people water. |

Or is it to force people to open their water source to public access? Ok, so what is it that you learned from them? Don't you know how to read to deduce the lesson in what he wrote that you're still asking? |

ExudeLoveToAll: In any of those scenarios, it is theft if the documents bears the name of the side chick. A gift once given can't be forcefully taken even if the person in this scenario is the man and not the wife. The only scenario where the lady hasn't broken the law is when that car was jointly owned by both parties.
Many people break the law without knowing that they have broken the law, ignorance isn't an excuse. Even if it's jointly owned, she can't forcefully take it. She should report to the authority. |

Same issue with Russia now.
By the way, US bombing Iraq and Afghanistan does not give Russia the right to bomb Ukraine. Ukraine too should have stayed neutral, and Russia too should have not been trying to dominate its neighbours. Dominating neighbors is what USA does best. Russia does it too for security reasons. |
