Jobs/Vacancies › Re: My Job Is At Risk Because Of Office Romance Involving My Boss by Caseless: 4:14am On Apr 26, 2023 |
SundayNightGist: Sharing this story with you is risky because it's a true story and it actually happened, but I'm not deterred as I'm on a mission to sanitize our society of all forms of immorality. Now lets get right into it without any further ado.
My office is located in Gwarinpa in Abuja and my boss is a very busy man who hardly stays in the office. We have another branch in Guzape (Asokoro extension) where my boss hired a lady as the manager in charge. This particular lady is fair and very endowed both ways (I mean front and back). She's attractive too, no doubt. She happens to be a single mother with a son. My boss on the other hand is a family man with four kids.
I had just joined the company when I started noticing that this lady usually drives the company's Mazda salon car to our branch (the headquarters) every week (Thursdays to be precise) to hold a "private meeting" with my boss. Word in the office has it that she was coming for weekly "reporting". Honestly I never once bothered to try and find out what was really going on as I'm the type that is very serious with my work.
Not until the guys in the office started bantering in groups and talking about what was actually going on. Again, I shrugged off their conversation because what's my business, and besides, I don't do office gossip. Well, not until one fateful day....
As I was hurrying up a task given to me by my boss in my usual seriousness with my work, I needed to rush to his office to get his final approval on something that he had asked me to do when I ran into the unbelievable!
Was I dreaming? Was my eyes paining me? For Pete's sake, what was this? In broad daylight that evening, as I knocked, my boss answered "come in" nonchallantly. I don't know what he was thinking. Lo and behold, there they were, he and our branch manager both standing on their feet and very close to each other with my boss unzipping her dress with his both hands! I was embarrassed and so were they. Usually, whenever this lady is around my boss would immediately close all his window curtains. This normally happens around or after closing (remember I told you I'm a serious office worker, so I stay back a lot because naturally I work late into the night everyday).
Since that incident, whatever I say in any meeting involving this particular lady is always accepted and approved by her whether it makes sense or not. In fact, she's trying to move close to me and become my friend by force now to the extent that she even chats with me privately now regularly.
While a man has the full right to do whatever he likes, my question is why do this in the workplace? Why would my boss engage in office romance right in the office building? And why is the lady in question now trying to get close to me by force now? Am I in any real danger? I don't want to lose my job. Please what do I do? From the words in bold, it shows you don't need any advice here. You indulge in office gossip and that's why this is an issue to you. Why would it bother you if she comes to the head office in company's saloon car for reporting? Because you don't mind your business. There's no way the boss would be unzipping a lady and he'd ask you to come in after knocking - you just found your way to get them in a compromising position. You created that story so people would not question your urge to investigate their affair. You're even crushing on that lady and you're doing all this to get her to your side by trying to get her in that shameful position so you can explore that. Be careful so you'll not be sacked. |

Curious345: Okay. What if Tinubu dies before may 29th?
There have been a few instances in history where a president-elect has died before they could be inaugurated. Here are some examples:
1) William Henry Harrison (1841): Harrison was elected as the ninth President of the United States in 1840 but died of pneumonia on April 4, 1841, just 31 days after his inauguration.
2) James A. Garfield (1881): Garfield was elected as the 20th President of the United States in 1880 but was assassinated by a disgruntled office seeker on July 2, 1881, just four months after his inauguration.
3) Zachary Taylor (1850): Taylor was elected as the 12th President of the United States in 1848 but died of an unknown illness on July 9, 1850, just 16 months into his presidency.
4) Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (Brazil, 1989): Lula, as he is commonly known, was elected president of Brazil in 1989 but was unable to take office due to legal challenges. He was eventually able to run and win the presidency in 2002.
5) Néstor Kirchner (Argentina, 2003): Kirchner was elected president of Argentina in 2003 but died suddenly of a heart attack on October 27, 2010, while serving as the Secretary General of the Union of South American Nations. You listed those who were inaugurated though... |

7david7: Good morning my people, I am writing you people at this delicate hour of 12:39am because my son's condition, it's getting worse by the day.
Dandruff wants to kill this beautiful boy, I know it's weird because we all know, myself included that dandruff doesn't kill, but watching myself lose a part of my son everyday.
He's been suffering from this condition for over 6yrs now, we've gone to the hospital and after buying and using all the prescribed drugs (Nizoral shampoo, selsun blue, head and shoulders, tea tree oil, miconazole cream, ketoconazole cream, terbinafine cream, fluconazole tablet, terbinafine tablet: almost killed my son, griseofulvin etc) nothing has changed, instead it's getting worse by day.
From complaining of headaches, to weakness (my son that was filled with energy and plays all the time now barely moves, he is always one place complaining of tiredness and pain), to joint pains, to confusion.
According to him, this dandruff has ate up his scalp so much that he can now taste his bathing soap on his tongue the moment he washes his head. We are now scared of washing and applying anything on his head because he will complain of tasting whatever we put on his head in his mouth and he will start having reactions. It's almost as if the skin on his scalp no longer protects him from outside soaps and other ingredients.
The moment he washes his head, his lips and tongue will swell up and he will start having reactions. My once active and lovely boy is now a shadow of himself. He's refusing to play, always complaining of tiredness and pains.
Pls help me my people, I don't know what to do anymore. I've tried every hospital and everything, I've done all I know, and now I'm watching my son deteriorate gradually before my very eyes without having a clue what to do, pls I beg you, help him, help me. You call this Dandruff? Oga this is not Dandruff. You have to go local. |

Oluwasheyijossy: Everyone should have a shot at it, its an open battle now and i pray inec ensures this very election is conducted under a free and fair supervision and the people's choice is respected. Yahaya Bello wants his trusted brother to help him cover his fraudulent activities. I'd even like Dino to win so he can smash Yahaya in the head. Forget the issue of free and fair elections. If Yahaya is sure that would ha, he won't even attempt this brazen madness at selection. He'd use his thugs to disrupt the process at the other sides, while he and his ebira brothers write anything they like from their core 3 LGs. Do you know the turnout in 2019 governorship election was 98% in ebira land even when the national average hovers between 45 and 50%? That's the only place everyone that registered voted. If you're familiar with his game, he's going to rig using the same pattern, unless they resist him. Ebira is a minority in the state. He's setting a bad example and he's performed so woefully that igala can justify their hold on power. |

Oluwasheyijossy: So the okuns don't deserve to take the governorship seat? Why are you guys this self centered and egocentric, for how long do you guys want to keep enslaving them? Power should keep rotating between the igalas and ebiras only. Power should rotate amongst the three of them, it's the okuns time and dino is fortunate to be the one heading the fight. God will decide who wins at the end of the day What you guys don't understand is, there's no ethnic group in the entire country that cede its majority influence to other ethnic groups within a state like you want the igalas to do. Tiv don't, berom don't do that, Ibibio hardly do it, ekwere hardly do it, the majority in cross rivers don't, bayelsans don't, and the only place it's a must is in Kogi State. The same Igala were in old Plateau, Kwara and Benue, they were never allowed to take their place, but where they constitute 65% of the population, they should consider. I'm not even worried at Okun taking the seat, but I'm mad that Yahaya chose his brother after his 8 years in office - he took it from igala via Audu's death. |

Abu who is an igala man is the flag bearrer of the Labour Party and he will win.
The Igalas who are the majority cannot be abused this way.
I know both the apc and the pdp will rush to Igala kingdom to pick a deputy.
This has given the Labour Party a clearer chance now. who's the LP candidate? I need to tell my kogi friends about him. Igala lost their son who had won the election for Yahaya to assume office with no effort of his, it's time for Yahaya to go and he's picking someone from his village to replace him. Injustice! Yahaya even campaigned against Audu then, but he benefited from that mandate. PDP could have gone to the east, but they chose to be stupid with another useless candidate in Dino. NNPP and LP should bring better candidates up. |
