@Mftivi, I don't wanna quote you here because this is bigger than just you and I. If Igbos call for seccession simply because they want their own right for self determination, that's a worthy cause to support. But IPOB is basing their call for seccession on 'hate' which is false. If the North hates you as you claimed, you won't be controlling the markets here. Yes! There are crisis in the North, but No ethnic group was ever a target. It was always a religious issue and you know it. There are so many Igbos here in my state that we the Christian minorities always run to their houses for protection whenever there is a crisis. My own people are the victim here, not Igbos. Of course, the muslim jihadists will kill any Christian they find without thought for their ethnicity. Stop turning the general religious insecurity in the North into an Igbo thing. It is ok to ask for the right for self-determination, but if you pick up arms to fight the g'ment on a false claim of "hate", we will fault your claim as propaganda. |
purples25:Another advice: try make friends with one of them and ask him why they disrespect you. Thank me afterwards. |
I lived in a Muslim community almost all my life. The Muslims I stayed with will never disrespect a lady without any good reason. Maybe you dress freely, and many of them despise a lady who dresses "anyhow". But let me suggest this: next time they try any rubbish, tell them to back off! Mostly, these people are always intimidated by a confident lady. Show them you are a no-nonsense lady else they walk all over you. They are only testing the waters. If you show any sign of been intimidated, na OYO for you. Always dress a bit decently and try to be firm without been rude. If possible, do not shout or bark. Just warn them once and ignore their very existence afterwards. They will back off eventually if they discover that their snide remarks don't get to you anymore. And don't, because of this, start hiding as they will smell the fear. Finally, just be yourself! Don't change who you are for any fuking body. Let them all go to hell if it has to get there. Nothing will happen t you. They won't harm a lady. StaySafe |
obynzo:Well I've never been to the South. I shouldn't be judging. We will be better together. Lets work things out. Lets stop the hate. We are one whether we accept it or not. The world sees us all as Negroes, Blacks, Africans. We can not run away from that. |
Mftivi:Thanks for the ad. One thing I know (and which every honest Nigerian will admit) is that the Southeast have just what it takes to be the most industrialised region in West Africa considering the Igbos' natural penchant for been industrious. But the Igbos should also admit to themselves that no country on earth will want to make too much heavy investments in a separatist region. And that thing is drawing us back; because we are all losing. |
Mftivi:To be fair about this, I have never really gone beyond Kwara-Benue-Taraba. But I know propaganda when I see one. My point is that you people are blaming everyone else for your people's problems instead of looking inward. If you lack infrastructure, hold your leaders accountable, not Northerners. If you couldn't produce an elected president, hold your people's lacklustre attitude to politics and your separatist attitude responsible. And don't forget, your fathers plunged Nigeria into a civil war. If you ask me, I will tell you that Igbos are smart enough to take advantage of a one Nigeria to build a Southeast that will be the envy of all Africa. Nnewi is already the town with the highest number of millionaires in the entire Western Africa region. But IPOB will rather clamor for an exclusively Igbo separatist nation. I have no issues with that. But stop saying everyone hate you when you are the ones pushing everybody away. |
obynzo:Seniorman, you seem like a reasonable man and that's why I am engaging you. I am not talking about Northerners coming to do business. Every Igbo man who is in my village right now (in the Northwest) owns the house he's in and owns land here. In my capital city, they do not only do business, they belong here. Can you say that about Northerners in your region? (mind you 'Northerners' is even an ambigous word; there's no people like that). In your land, others only do busines |
obynzo:Boss, I know what marginalization is. But even you can't deny that Yorubas are a bit more tolerant than the Igbos. Yorubas can have Christians and Muslims in the same family and still be good. It's why they always attract everybody to their region. An average Igbo man will not want to have anything to do with a muslim unless if he knows he can somehow milk him. This is why, despite the innovations happening in the Southeast, people will rather go to PH or Lag. Even you know I am right. Respect!! |
Kenistry:I can't remember who wrote this here but it is gospell: "the problem of the Hausas is the Hausas themselves. The problem of the Yorubas is the Yorubas themselves ..." And guess who is the problem of the Igbos. Nobody is oppressing you people. You people are just good at 'giving a dog a bad name just so you could hang 'em'. Nigeria and Nigerians are not your problem. You are your own problems. Maybe you all should just try accepting others. Stop the hate! Love! |
Maski87:I sometimes wish this hell were actually real so you lots will burn there. All you people condemning others to it are actually the ones who deserve to be in there. |
baralatie:Oh! I see! |
Unfortunately I am using a small button-itel phone. This phone dey help me o. God! when man pikin go buy android? |
Tell me something I don't know: Why is it the man always dying during sex. Somebody said ' men are strong, but women are powerful'. |
Krasid:It baffles me how you people can be so intelligent and unreasonable at the same time. How can you even claim to be a football fan yet you are hating on either of this two? You have absolutely no need to drag Messi into this. Just respect these guys don Allah! |
joyousmother2016:I believe the family's story. He wouldn't just give his atm card and pin to a girl he knows is a runs girl without been forced somehow. He was obviously tortured by the wench and her father into giving out his pin. It was premeditated and that's why the girl used a foreign number to book the apartment to avoid detection. She's obviously taking the fall to protect her family. This is a family business. |
Wichtig:Aswearugod, I pitied the wench at first, but now, I think she's a hardened one. Whether or not she killed him, she [admitted to] stabbing him twice in the neck and once in the stomach; that's, at least, attempted murder. But look at the other stuff:- she booked the apartment with a foreign number(red flag one). She never reported the "rape" that started the violence(red flag two). She went straight for his money and withdrew N380K instead of calling for help as he must be bleeding when she left(red flag three). And (this one is unrelated to the murder) she had, in her room, forged documents. Besides, she booked the room herself to meet a man, so she can't claim rape. I suspect the father is an accomplice in this and they obviously took much more money in cash from the deceased. |
Ifearnoevil:I really everyone will just ignore you seeing you have nothing to say. I was never trained to insult so I can't squabble with you in the mud. All I can say is 'Ojukwu is a fuking criminal and Kanu is treading on the same path. The Igbo people I know are too intelligent to be dragged into his schemes. They know that there are better and quicker ways to achieve Biafra without a need for a gun. Yorubas, he they are as wise as I know them to be, will show you IPOBians how it is done. We the remaining regions will just wait for you people to spill your alone fighting an avoidable war, because when Biafra is finally actuallise, you people won't be the only ones to get your nation. I am already learning spare parts and imports/exports business so that when you leave I will cash out big in our United States of the Middle-belt. |
mjabdulk:As long as any name they see there sounds something like Mohammed, Mamman, Ahmed or Bashir, they will keep screaming "marginalization". Forgetting that every president's close aids and personal staff should consist mostly of people close to him; those he can trust. I only have issues if and when the bias is made in appointing ministers and heads of parastatals. Even so, the North is not just one small region; it is a large section of the nation that is made up of three geopolitical zones and includes the middle belt and the northeast: people who have nothing in common with the president. It doesn't matter whether or not you like the president, this is politics. My full name includes Ibrahim and Yusuf. If tomorrow I am appointed minister or head of the EFCC, people in the south will shout "bias!", when I am neither Muslim, Hausa nor Fulani, though I am a Northerner. |
I do not want to take the vaccine now. But not because of any of the reasons mentioned here. I just think it is a little too early to bring up a vaccine already. But asides that, everything else is only conspiracy theory and I don't subscribe to that. We give too much credit to these people. If they wanted to control you, they would do that already. Look around you, 80%-90% of what you use every day is made by "them". And please, stop demonizing Bill Gates. It's not his fault your parents are/were poor. |
Chigator:Amen! I pray we all heal from this hate and learn to fight for what's worth fighting for, not some vage promise. |
Igboid:You people always go theatrical and melodramatic with this 'Nigeria' of a thing and feel like you have made a point. Nigeria was named by Ms Shaw, so what? It is a very beautiful name with a good meaning. Nigeria is a collection of various ethnic groups; isn't that the beauty of the whole thing? All these theatrics only expose how shamelessly intolerant and hateful we are to our fellow Africans. It is why I said we don't deserve this nation. We are a disgrace. An Average African can not tolerate a fellow African in his circle. Shame on us. Let the nation be brokenup into seven countries |
Simplyleo:Aswearugod this is exactly the problem with our society. If she had excaped, she would be on instagram right now tormenting the lives out of some innocent chap and friends with expensive wigs and phone. This culture needs to be changed, |
Ifearnoevil:I am still waiting for the facts he asked you to provide. You never provided any. Insults get you nowhere. Still waiting; please counter his argument with facts. |
I've got a lot of things to fault these points you raise, but it won't matter in the end. I only wish this Biafra thing will be actualised in my lifetime. I don't see it happening though; the whole thing about the Biafra thing had been got wrong already. But Nigeria as a whole needs to be broken into at least four different countries. But for now, Biafran agitators are going about it in all the wrong ways. I don't even take them serious. But this your attempt, despite been laced with all the typical IPOB falsehood and propaganda, is a step in the right direction. Nigeria is not a failed nation, and we will be better together. But with the way each people are propagating hatred for all other people, separation is our only deserved punishment. We all don't deserve Nigeria. We are not worthy of this great nation. |
iamadonis2:Aswear this is my biggest dream. I just want to retire to one of these Nordic countries or New Zealand, build my little house in the woods or tundra, watch the aurora or the koalas, enjoy the snow or the natural forest, learn some maori or inuit language, and die quietly in a little shire or igloo. |
josh123:Then what did he mean by "be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth." That command came even before Eve. The intention was to turn the whole earth into a global Eden before replicating it in other planets and satelites. Imagine what even just you would've done if you could live for just 30 000 years. Our brain was obviously designed for much more than making AIs and moon landings. Imagine what humanity would've achieved if we are not limited by hate, fear, lies, wars, anger, arrogance, greed, indiscipline or any other form of weakness. Even after the fall, humanity attempted to reach the 'heavens'. We are obviously designed for more |
I am not a religious person, but look at it this way: people who die at 80 built this world you see. We built technology and made great advances in science. Imaging what we would do if we could each live for, say, 10 000 years. Imaging the knowledge and understanding we would each amass. So we would find a way around it. We wouldn't be this rash and desperate. And from the Genesis narrative, Man was meant to be a co-creator with God. I think Earth was only meant to be the garden. I think this earth was just the garden of Eden because Adam was meant to expand it from the little original location to a global one. I believe Mars, Venus, and probably Europa would've been a task given to us to turn into something like earth. Earth is obviously a testing ground for something cosmic. With our individual years of amassed knowledge, we would've colonized other planets and satelites and probably gone far into our galaxy and beyond. We were meant to be cosmic beings beyond just this blue/green garden. |
DropsMic:You dare not! An illiterate will always be planets ahead of a dumbass bigot. And yea, I am from Northern Nigeria! |
DropsMic:The number two citizen in the whole wide world is from northern Nigeria. I will choose northern Nigeria and the people a thousand times over anything south if they (southerners) are all this stupeed. But I have been with enough of them to know that the dumb ones like you are only few. |
fk001:It was later resolved a'ina? N15 Mill, na that one be resolved kuma? Where person like me wan take see that kind money now? Just carry me go the prison kawai. People get money o! N15 Mill will set me up for life. But we go make am shah very very ... |
