pato405:I understand your complain; it is like a general mindset for Nigerian women. Their entitlement mindset is second to none. But Mine spends on me like kilode! |
Do they also print in color? |
Why would anyone let themself get this fat |
I actually started supporting the Elephants since their young Coach took over. The joy on his face when they win is infectious. But I hope the Super Eagles win this one. |
Congrats to the Elephants and to Ivory Coast for this AFCON Victory. I am sure they will beat the Super Eagles. I am still proud of our boys though. Up super Eagles. |
Lets settle this, at least, once for this year. Nigeria-South Africa on the Semis. Lets win this for the us. Super Eagles!!!!! |
Dude! This is just the round of 16. We are not there yet, so stop hailing this man yet. Angola may send us packing. If they don't Congo will be waiting for us in the Semis |
OKOATA:I think you mistunderstood the man. He broke up because she was placing a curse on him. Your complain should be "Because of wig his woman is pacing a curse on her man". No woman is entitled to any man's money. If he gives you anything, it's a gift, a privilege; not a right. For me, it is the entitlement mentality that is annoying. Some ladies won't even tell you a simple "Thank You" for doing anything for them because they believe they are your responsibility and that sex is a good enough payment for you. |
Bitterkolasweet:Yep! Austin is it for me too. |
Is this even a question? What difference does it make whether she wears gown, wrapper or trousers? And for those complaining that "you will not be able to control her", how is a woman wearing trousers supposed to emmasculate you as a man? Why would anyone even want to "control" a woman or any other person at all? You guys should learn that been African man does not being been bossy. I am African, My wife will wear what ever she's comfortable with. She will challenge me if I am wrong. She will be a strong independent woman who will make her own decisions and be her own boss. And that will never emmasculate me. The annoying thing is that most of the clothes you even call "African" are not even made in Africa. They are mostly imported. So shut it! |
Depends on the Location. In Abuja, NO! In Kaduna Suburbs; YES! |
Bros, I am now 32. I studied mechanical engineering in FUTMinna, but I couldn't graduate. I almost committed suicide because I came from a poor background and my family was looking up to me. Believe me, no one can really understand the feeling and the struggle. I see myself as a failure. But I just wrote JAMB again this year, Though I do not necessarily have the typical supportive family, I will go through this struggle on my own. I am going back to school to study Medicine. I started different businesses, but they all folded up. Now I have left home to find my own way in the world and I am working my arse up and fighting for a scholarship. I have learnt never to be bothered by any form of timeline anymore. I am not even worried about school, whether or not it works out. I just want to live and savor every single moment that comes my way. Life is not about big achievements or meeting up timelines. So just go for what you want. And have fun doing it. I love my life. |
StraightGaay:Dude, if You are trying to get a gay partner, I am sorry man. I don't judge you, but that partner ain't me. I will rather be a simp for pussy than try experiment with nyash. I am happy for you, if gay is really what You want to be, but that ain't me man. StraightGaay I see. |
Fahvvy:I am glad your choice justified all my statements: who's to say who is deserving of what? ANSWER. Each of us. You just told us what You are undeserving of. Our choices tells us: JUST US , and no one else (Just You). What we deserve. I know it doesn't really matter though, but This is You. |
StraightGaay:How is that any of your business? Why should I answer you? Just stop hating on people's personal choices which does not affect you IN ANY WAY. But just for the record: I AM NOT GAY AND I WILL NEVER BE! I am beginning to suspect you are gay as I just noticed your name. |
Fahvvy:Non of us really. I have lived my life among people who always find it comfortable to throw out threats of "disowning" or "placing a curse" on their kids as if it's nothing to them. As if I am your child only under certain conditions. Parenthood is supposed to be a ride-or-die role. It is so demoralizing knowing that my parents can actually consider cutting me off for my own choices; even ones which do not in any way affect them. It doesn't matter though, I have learnt to live my own life the way I want it, come what may; Let heaven and earth burn. No one will blackmail me anymore. The threats eventually lost their sting and I do not even believe in curses, so ... |
StraightGaay:You are a hater, Oga!!! |
Fahvvy:Any person who may even consider the idea of "disowning" their own child or even see it as an option; that person does not deserve to be a parent. |
StraightGaay:I would rather be gay than be a hater like you. |
StraightGaay:I wish I was gay. Na your nyash I go first tear. |
StraightGaay:and I really wish everyone else would say the same. Let them be. |
StraightGaay:Nope! I find even the idea disgusting. But who am I to determine that for another person? I have learned to respect people's choices and anything that's love cannot be bad. |
I still do not understand what gives people to think a person's personal choice is their business. I f he's gay, so what? Live, and Let's live. Sue that bastard!!! |
cathodekazim:I usually do not comment on things like this because people are already divided by sentiments on it. It doesn't matter what anyone will say, people have already decided whom to support and whom to demonize on this war. And this demonization is why I choose to quote you: and thank the universe you are 'supposedly' christian. I am neither CHRISTIAN NOR MUSLIM. I do not support any of the two sides. But I hate it when intelligent people like you just take sides and outrightly condemned one side in such a sensitive war that's driven mostly by propaganda. It is this taking of sides that is fanning this Palestinian war. Muslims have always supported Muslims no matter how obvious it is that they are wrong. That attitude is what makes most Christians to now to become desensitize to their complaints. The ugliness of war is the fact that those who suffer unnecessarily from it are usually the innocent. So this is war. I am not saying I support Israel's aggression, but I understand it and I wish situations were different. I totally support a ceasefire and and a humanitarian break, but will that ceasefire mark an end to the war or a window for Hamas to remobilize and relaunch a more brutal terrorist attack? No child deserve to die like this, but you should know that if You attack a beehive, the bees will attack anyone in sight. |
Kobojunkie:NOPE! What I am saying this: 1. We (it takes two to tango) created a culture where the "Haves" are worshiped, while the "Have nots" are treated with disdain. 2. The males are both the biggest beneficiaries and worst victims, because a man who does not have is considered absolutely useless while the one who has will have a field day. 3. We are too petty. In an attempt to feel important and valued, we feel pressured to always give even if it is obviously manipulated out from us.The ladies have learnt to use the men's need to feel important to milk them. 4. I do not blame the females either because they are also victims of the society we collectively built. Just using what they have to get what they want. |
I love this piece. Lets be honest though: this attitude is already deeply ingrained in our culture. It is not just about women becoming leeches and parasites; It is more about them simply doing what they are programmed to do. Our culture is one that makes us feel, from a young age that "you are the man", so you should prove yourself. When we have a culture that seem to value male children above female, this is what you get. When you have a culture that is purely materialistic where you have to first impress your would-be in-laws first before they allow you to carry the responsibility of their daughter; this is what you get. We have a culture that seem to be saying "a man have to cross the seven seas and seven mountains first before he is worthy, but a woman only needs to have an arse, or even just a puccy and learn to cook to be everything a man needs. This made some men to only go for the puccy and then they are willing to do anything just to prove that they are men. I will always say this and most people will not agree with me: women are not meant to be paid for. You only pay for what you buy, so this foolish idea of a brideprice should be stopped first. If I paid for You, then I bought you and You are my property. period. |
ednut1:Althoug I have to admit you are not completely wrong though. The "political class" (yes, we now A POLITICAL CLASS) is riding on the poverty and illiteracy of the majority to manipulate elections in their favour using ethnic, regional or religious sentiments. And who wouldn't jump at the opportunity to make life a little better for their loved ones, even if it means to japa. But my major concern is that we seem to leave national development only to the very politicians we know are only there for personal gain. We do not need to protest or start a revolution. But we can just do our normal every day work and hustle here without becoming corrupt ourselves and helping each other starting from our immediate neighbourhood. I know all these ones wey I dey yan na just English, but Nigerians need to start loving Nigeria and Nigerians. Being Nigerian is in the blood, not in passport or I.D card. |
ednut1:Yep!! This is the exact kind of mindset that makes us the problem. We tend to think or assume that the 10000 political office holders have all the power. In the very country you are blaming leaders for, your mates are making a life for themselves and building their own future irrespective of whoever is in power. We are running away and blaming "government" for our own lack of initiative, while Indians, Chinese, Lebanese and Pakistanis are here cashing out on our lack of initiative; waiting on government. |
ednut1:the "leaders didn't vote themselves in; or we can say that. The problem we have is that we blame everyone else: leaders, government, parents, witches, and any other thing or person, but ourselves. Look into the mirror; You are your own problem and your own solution to your problem. we vote the kind of people we are. |
This japa syndrome we have is one of the most embarrassing things about us. It is so embarrassing watching my people run out of the country while blaming the government for everything and then watching all these foreigners come in to and taking all the opportunities here. We are a disgraceful nation I swear. The countries you are all running out to was built by the blood and sweat of the common people, not the government. If you think you have to run out there to make your life meaningful, then maybe you are really useless already. Think about it: Australia was built by prisoners, prostitutes and the unwanted scum of Europe in less than three centuries. But our own "brains" are the ones running away. |
Rugby is my favourite sport. Followed by Boxing. And then Tennis before football. |
Henry Winter, editor-in-chief of The Times on why he voted for Leo Messi for the Ballon d'Or. “This may be the last time we celebrate Messi as the best player in the world, but the issue has nothing to do with nostalgia, nor with clinging to a romance that is fading. Rather, Messi deserves the Ballon d'Or. When I voted for England for the Ballon d'Or, I thought carefully about the incredible work of Haaland and Mbappé, studied their amazing statistics and best shots, and then came back to Messi. Messi led Argentina to win the World Cup last season with a performance comparable to Maradona's in the 1986 World Cup. Football is about titles and Messi's performance in Qatar showed that he deserved first place and six points. Although Messi's career was brilliant with four Champions League titles, he needed a World Cup. All the pressure was on their shoulders, especially with a young coach like Scaloni and a team that included three important young players in Enzo, Álvarez and Mac Allister. At times, especially after the first surprising loss against Saudi Arabia, Messi was under more pressure, and when his country needed him most, Messi responded. He won the award for best player in the World Cup and scored 7 goals of quality and variety: long-distance goals against Mexico and Australia, deep goals against France and penalty kicks taken with different left, right, high and low goals. Messi also gave three assists and played every minute of the tournament. No player has taken more shots on goal than him (32). Only Antoine Griezmann has more key passes than Messi, who has 21. Only Musiala and Mbappé dribbled more than him, and no player was exposed to more fouls than him. If some of those who mock him might suggest that referees are influenced by his reputation, the reality is that Messi is being attacked and his amazing movements confuse opponents who jump and catch him. By all standards, Messi was the most effective in the most important tournament in sport, but Messi is not just numbers, he is much more. Messi is poetry. Messi is the one who surprises you. Messi is that sudden burst of speed and that touch to keep the ball away from a defender like Gvardiol. Messi is a special role model for the younger generation who follows the stars as much as the teams. Attending a match with your team is completely different from another match. “A Messi match in itself is considered an event.” #MessiIsInfinity #Messi #LeoMessi #LionelMessi #Argentina #ballondor2023 #LM8 |
