loswhite:I really don't know about the man's relationship with his wife. But he's obviously still legally married. A married man having an extramarital affair is not a crime. A fifty year old having consensual sex with a 21year old is not a crime. A rich sugardaddy funding the materiallistic lifestyle of a young undergraduate he will obviously not marry is also not a crime. But it is a moral taboo in our society (even though everybody seem to be into it). And these are the grounds on which many are questioning his strength of character. Some are saying he even deserved what's coming to him. I will rather not be the man whose character will be questioned in the event of my death. Let the events surrounding my death not be one where it will be said I Wouldn't be dead if only I controlled my libido and ego, or quit a destructive habit. Ka gane? |
Boss13:Thanks boss! Will do just that! |
Boss13:thanks sir. I will put your words to heart. I am planning to walk the aisle, at most, four years from now and I have not started girl-hunting yet. Thanks. |
NigeriaZoo:What if you are the ones making yourselves the enemy? What if majority of the ones you are pitching yourself against do not even know what the battle is all about? No man is your enemy! My two uncles were killed by Fulani muslims, but I am smart enough (against the popular and prevailing sentiments)to know that not all Fulanis and/or Muslims are killers or murderous. So really, who is this enemy you are talking about? What if that man is seen as your enemy simply because he looks different from you or has different practices and believes from you? Hate cannot defeat hate. I am not asking you to 'love your enemy'. I am no Jesus. I am only saying, make sure you are fighting the right enemies and the right battles; you may only end up making more willing and unwilling enemies if you make too much haste to classify people. We are one, brother! We are one!! |
Boss13:well since you are talking out of experience(yours or others' you witnessed), I will respect that. But I will take it as just a general guideline rather than a strict rule. I believe no single moral guideline applies at all times to all people. I respect your opinion and advice sir. I will take note of it. |
For me, I don't care what the accepted norm is or is not. I just want to live with a person who will be my friend and confidant. I will prefer someone with a two year gap(older or younger). But This is not strictly exclusive. It is each person's prerogative to decide for themselves. I can marry a woman 50 years older or younger if it comes to it. |
Na wa o! I keep telling all who care to be reasonable that no nation on earth that is built on the rule of law will defend the activities of IPoB and Kanu. It is not wrong to fight for the right for self-determination, but these people (and the Igboho boys) are going about it the wrong way. Study the Scotland case and see the difference. Most of these 'Nelson Mandela wannabes' are only riding on the widespread dissatisfaction with the present leadership to chase clout and spite the government. Kanu will face justice and no nation will raise a finger. But all eyes will be on his case to ensure no violation of his rights is made. That's the best he can get. But I don't see him getting a sentence of more than ten years in jail. Lets stop all these hate and unite to face the real problems we have which are corruption, insecurity, unemployment and poverty. All these agitations are only a distraction to cause division and bring tribalism into the picture. We are the giant of Africa and we will be greater together. |
loswhite:Trust me, it is still better to be an innocent party in your own death/murder. |
owagbeba:Thank you so much. It is a priviledge to interact with different people of differing views; I learn from everybody. Thank You' |
Tareq1105:Even for us in Kaduna, Elrufa'i is a curse we will never wish for even our enemies. For now, no Northern candidate is worthy of that presidency come 2023. |
[quote author=LLiKYekoba post=103316014]Of course you can't compare Nigerian politics with UK politics. But be honest with yourself, how many people will vote someone like Ben Bruce (I know he's not Igbo) with all the common sense he's trying to make in place of Someone like Tinubu who's actually going round the country to make himself a man of the people. Igbos will rather sweep it off as tribalism instead of accepting that this is Nigeria; Making sense online doesn't win you elections here. If Tinubu and Bello were Igbos, their own people would've rejected them simply because they're muslims, but the Yorubas accepted them as their own and are pushing them to the Northern people as a fellow muslim. The Igbos are even against their own brothers, Okorocha and Amaechi because they are fraternizing with Hausa. You can't be separating yourself from people and still expect them to vote you na. Do the Igbos even have any consensus candidate among them that they can push to the other regions?@LLiKYekoba (Moghalu2023 |
I support Moghalu2023, but truth be told, power is never given; it is taken. Only Tinubu and Bello are actually making any reasonable moves to take power to the South come 2023. Igbo people again no just sabi politics at all. If Nigeria continues as one, these are the only people out of the three major ethnicities that may never produce a president because they no just sabi politics even though they have some of the best candidates and my two favorites: Moghalu and Orji Kalu. |
Please tell me something I don't know: He was illegally detained for eight days, yet he couldn't alert his British people about it despite having his phones with him? Dude tweets every fuking day until Monday, according to reports. This people and their hateful propaganda. Please, just stop the hate! |
BlowYourMind:We all know it was a premeditated stuff. I am still surprised some people are defending the murderer. And that wench is protecting someone. I am very sure it's a relative. She didn't act alone. And where's the cash she took from his person? At least Amaka own better; na only disappoint she go disappoint you. Na why all-man suppose dey stay faithful to him wife. These hos ain loyal! |
I'm sorry, I don't believe this! You were tortured for eight days but you still tweet everyday without even giving a hint to the British authorities that you are been illegally detained? This story is a cooked up fable by failed bloggers. Lets stop spreading all these hate please. |
As much as I dislike this government and hate this governor, what he said is gospel. I keep telling people we can't compare bandits which is a criminal situation to IPOB, which is an insurgency. But people will rather go sentimental about everything. IPOB and ESN is like a separate army challenging the sovereignty of this Country. The government could've handled the situation better than they did and solved it with pen and paper. Bandits are like criminals in any country just like ritualists, armed robbers and Thieves. And don't tell me the government have not been fighting BH for years. I am not satisfied with their fight against the islamist group, but lets tell ourselves the truth, even the past government couldn't beat them. But because Buhari is Fulani and Muslim, we just want to hate them. Trust, me, I dislike this government more than most of you here, but I will never deny myself the truth. This government is probably the worst in the history of governments so they deserve all the hate they generate. |

I've been following from part 1. I can only say WHOAW!! You are actually a walking, living miracle. The health issues makes it a bit sad to read, but your spirit and energy is infectious. And you know you are gorgeous. |
Very caring man. He doesn't want his wife (or ex-wife) to participate in his sin. We should all be like that! |
Sorry o! I am not one to be moved by sentiments or by the crowd. The only thing I see wrong with this Kanu thing is probably the way he's arrested. The problem with us is that we would rather be sentimental about issues than tell ourselves truths. There's no really serious charge against the man. At most he may spend two years in jail for arms possession (that's if they can even prove it) then come out even stronger. But the FG is not wrong to hold him. And the matter about bandit, we all know it is a very complicated issue, except if we want to lie to ourselves simply because we love to hatethe government. Although Buhari is treating the bandits with two much free hand. Fuk! Am I just confused? I need to leave this shithole! |
Idiko1:This right here is a problem we have. We despise ourselves. Anyways, I am just a young boy and I don't wanna be caught dead arguing with people who are obviously more exposed about issues that are way older than I am and decided more by emotion. One thing I will NEVER do though is insult who we are. And Europe is actually a very wrong example to give here. I probably hate this government more than most people; but I won't defend a foolish move simply because it is against my enemy. |
Agbegbaorogboye:Look, there's no country on earth that will not consider Kanu a criminal. This is not a Nigerian thing. Any man threatening the corporate existence of a nation and blackmailing the government will be considered a criminal. Mind you, I never for once said "he's a criminal". I only said "he will be considered one". Seeking for self-determination is not criminal, but lying against any government (he said the president is Jubril among many other claims) and instigating people to disobey or destroy the government or its property will be considered criminal. But recently, he took it a bit further: he jumped bail, is accused of importing arms, threatened the military, ordered attacks on security ops, and created an illegal military in a sovereign state. |
FakeUnity:does been right have anything to do with what tribe I came from? Well, if you want to know, I am someone who wishes he's Igbo. My blood is not, but the heart that pumps the blood is Igbo. Yes, I am from the North. But I don't profess any religion even though I lived most of my life in the church and the mosque. Man, I say the truth even if it stands against me or my people. |
Agbegbaorogboye:Oh! I get you now. It's ok. Personally, Don't really have much against the man(until recently). But in any country of the world, someone like him will always be considered a criminal. It's politics man. |
Agbegbaorogboye:Saying Nnamdi Kanu is not a criminal is just a clear sign that you either know nothing about politics or you are just ... (I really hate calling people names). I am still trying to find those people you, and many others claim are bitter towards the easterners. Lets stop been unreasonable na! And how can you say you didn't equate Shekau with Kanu. I am really baffled at your kind of logic. |
Agbegbaorogboye:See your talk! You people still don't realise that the North is not a homogenous region or are you people just naturally "coocoo?" Who is Shekau representing? If you think it is ok to equate Kanu with Shekau, why do you fret when we equate Bokoharam with IPOB? You Igbos are known to be very shrewd and intelligent, but some of you can be so daft to a mind-numbing propotion |
Mftivi:Honestly, the Fulani onslaught we are facing has been a national security threat. And I hate how the consistent killings of law enforcement agencies in the Southeast was made to overshadow the Fulani menace. I know a drowning man will grab unto any straw just to survive. But state politics will always be state politics. Every security outfit is supposed to be accountable to the government of the state. ESN is not accountable to any authority. That's their major undoing. The people may hail them as heroes, but they'll still be illegal under the law. My own people could not go to our farms because of the fear of Fulani. Now we are dealing with them quietly. No need to shout or attack the police or the government. |
The Biafran agitation in Nigeria has reached a stage where no sensible person will brush it away. It is time you people call for a referendum just like the Scots are doing. But only Biafrans can do that for themselves. You can do that by voting only those who will fight for Biafra into offices. Let them bring their proposal to the national assembly. Give your reasons why you must seccede. They may be arrested, but the world will know that you followed the right channels. Everyone will then listen to you. Read how our parents fought for the independence of Nigeria. Your democratically elected leaders should be your voice. No government can impose leaders on you, so you should use your own elected leaders as your voice. But if your elected (consensus) leaders are for one Nigeria, while some leader of an illegal group is saying 'seccession', who do you think any government will listen to as your voice. It is why I stressed that the Igbo man's problem is not some Hausa, Fulani or Yoruba man. |
Mftivi:I swear to God, Isupport Amotekun and Ebubeagu. But ESN? No! There are channels to go about things. You and I know that ESN is an illegal group. Even vigilante groups will register with the government. The president already said any person seen with a rifle should be shot on sight. That "anybody" does not mean Fulanis only. We have general insecurity in Nigeria; lets talk to our politicians to do the needful, not form an illegal gun-wielding group. Now see what ESN is doing; soiling the Biafran agitation with their unreasonable killings of Police and other security ops. |
thebosstrevor1:I swear! Those people are something else. Everybody wears suits, jeans and tshirts with no issues. But a white person wears a sari, kimono, aso oke or kaftan, people start shouting "misappropriation!" Me! I wear whatever I want to year; I don't care if it comes from the moon. No attire belongs to only one ethnic group now. These clothes look good on them. |
