gidgiddy:so who removed the right to referendum? you are clearly an ignoramus. heave you ever heard of decree 34, aka unification decree? ode!!! "Sunday May 24th was the 54th Anniversary of the Promulgation of decree number 34 by Major General Johnson Thomas Umanakwe Aguiyi Ironsi (3rd March 1924- 29th July 1966). Few people remembered. It was the decree that transferred all the autonomous power of the four regions then to the centre. The regions then were Northern Region, Eastern Region, Western Region and Mid-Western Region. Decree 34 came into force on 24th May, 1966. " https://guardian.ng/opinion/history-and-the-future-of-decree-34-of-1966/ https://www.thecable.ng/abused-decree-34-and-the-demand-for-restructuring we are not fools, you keep diverting attention from your intentions by shouting northern domination, northern domination, yiou are the ones intent on dominating!!! you are the expansionist tribe. The North generally stay in their zones, you are the only ones that journey to conquer!! the actual decree here: https://dawodu.com/decree34.htm |
obiekunie01:answer simple questions. Everything you are fighting for (resource control, referendum etc) we had, everything you are fighting for you are the ones who removed when you were in power for 6 months. why did you remove it? Because you wanted to dominate the other tribes. Why do people not trust Ibos, why is it difficult to acheive ibo presidency and ibo control of armed forces because we know your intentions, we saw what you did, you have already shown your hand. |
obiekunie01:is it a lie? today you shout referendum, who removed the right to referendum that the British left us with? who changed Nigeria from a federation of regional units to a unitary system and most critically removed control over the resources of the regions to the center. Who deliberately connived with the north to create the Mid-west region to weaken the western region? please answer these questions or shut your dirty stinking mouth. |
gidgiddy:thanks to the ibos who removed the right to referendum and turned Nigeria from a federation to a unitary system of govt and gave the center control of regional resources under ironsi. the bane of Nigerias problem today (power in the center and the inability to leavethe union) and the so called northern domination was a product of just 6 months of Ibo rule under ironsi. The Northerners could never have done it on their own, they simply inherited what was created by ironsi and didnt change it...why would they? when you see Ibos telling you they own lagos and proudly telling you they plan to defeat the yorubas in Lagos...understand this is the fundamental pysche of the Ibo man to expand, conquer and dominate!!1 |

the whole Zikist "believing in Nigeria" idealogy was based on a belief that the ibos would dominate Nigeria. It was based on a false believe that the North were backward and they could sideline the west and align with the "backward" North and dominate the rest of Nigeria. They failed to recognize the political acumen of the Northerners. it was never based on a love for Nigeria or other Nigerians but a view that Nigeria was a country that ibos could dominate and rule over. |
Irresponsible talk from the same yoruba elders that failed as leaders. What is his contribution to yorubas in his time as a senator? |
Brendaniel: |
FreeStuffsNG:But are you paying out new notes? |
Brendaniel:Obi can only win in Alaba computer village and the SE. |
Ibrahimcoomasie:He actually left home to vote with his wife, driver and another household staff. It was reported as he cast his vote before the results came out. He is a buffoon but Peter cannot win |
]It’s ok denying receiving N2b. But what he should have stated was if he received any money from Obi. The fact that he didn’t implies he did though it may not have been N2b. The fact that he didn’t say I didn’t receive ANY money from Obi means he did. |
i repeat, did these people have no families, no friends, no bodies? Anybody heard of any funeral of anyone who died in lekki shooting? have you ever heard of any occasion where any of these ENDSARS protesters participated in the funeral of someone who died in Endsars protests? you would think that if anyone truly died in the Lekki protests Aisha and co would have attended the funeral...no? |
people that died but have apparently have no families, people that died with no bodies, people that died with no funeral. Anybody heard of any funeral of anyone who died in lekki shooting? ... just continue with the lies!!! |
GeorgWashinton:First of all increase your income so that your wife doesnt have to work and take care of the home at the same time. No woman whose husband provides all her financial requirements threatens to leave the home. The job of a man is to provide, if you are providing she has no reason to work. If she is working because you are not able to provide fully then you cant also complain that she doesnt perform her homely functions. If you are providing and she decides to work then you can blame her for not performing her primary role. How can your wife be coming home from work at 9pm and you are complaining that she cant cook, why is she working? is she a slave that she will be doing 2 jobs (bring home money and taking care of the home as well? Why can't you hire a cook....the answers to these questions are likely because you are not bringing home enough money!!! when a man does not bring home enough money insults are his portion...thats just the nature of the beast called marraige and women! The job of a man is to provide and that of a woman to nurture the home. You cannot change the roles of man and woman and then complain things are falling apart in the home. On a side note you talk like a weak man. A real man is not afraid of his wife leaving because 1) he is performing his role as a man and she would never leave and 2) he would easily get another woman if she leaves. That you are afraid of losing your wife says more about you that your wife. |
Naira20:. Kwakwanso has a proper phd in water engineering. The most educated of the top contestants. He is also very correct. |
steeltrust:As El Rufai said, you will all understand in this election that all these Ohaneze, afenifere and NEF have no real influence and are all useless self serving noisemakers. Who appointed them elders, who elected governors? So tell me who speaks for the people! |
steeltrust:You also clearly do not know that 1) Datti was chosen only because other prominent northerners rejected the position. 2) the same brother made a comment only yesterday against Labour Party. Who is the daft one? Like I said jungle don mature no need arguing with you morons….your defeat will soon be served hot!!!! |
GreyLaw:I have reduced my political commentary of recent because jungle go soon mature….no point arguing with anyone, election is round the corner. We will see who is right and who was delusional all along |
ShowYourCertificate:The only people that will have heart attack are those who believe Bloomberg and CNN. Tinubu is the front runner. The only thing that can stop him is if the powers that be manage to stop the elections or damage him in favour of Atiku or an interim govt. in either scenario Obi is not the beneficiary. To begin with the north do not want Datti. You honestly think the north will allow a govt of Peter Obi with a Vice President that is not their man? |
Ennoloa:You are the one suffering from delusions. If voters desert Tinubu at this stage or elections do not hold the beneficiary will not be Obi. There is no scenario where What is happening benefits Obi. The worst that will occur is either elections do not hold or Atiku wins. |
Ennoloa:You guys are so daft. The reason why certain people don’t want to election to hold is because they know Tinubu will win, not because they are afraid Obi will come 3rd!!! The people who don’t want Tinubu as president are not Obidients, be rest assured!!!! If they manage to scuttle things don’t for a second think the outcome will favour you. |
Ournolly:We don’t mind conceding the war of insults and name calling to you Obidients. We know you and your principal were never in the election to win but only for the opportunity to engage in your favorite pastime/ occupation…..anger, venting hurling insults and name calling. If you were actually interested in winning an election, you would never have rallied behind Obi, a man without national appeal, you would never have split the opposition PDP vote and unwittingly handing victory to the man you so despise, you would actually spend time promoting your principal’s vision instead of campaigning by attacking the opposition. We on the other hand are here to win…..and win we shall. It’s a win win for all, you get to abuse to your heart’s desire and those of us who are here to win the election, win the election!!! ….everybody happy!! The irony of this election is that Tinubu would have lost if Obi hadn’t entered the race. The Obidients have actually ensured Tinubu will become president. |
Ournolly:Clearly if you had any brains, you will know the losers and noisemakers don’t just disappear overnight. The process that culminates in “we haven’t heard from Obi in ages”, starts on Election Day…hence “start to stop” aka the beginning of the end, the start of his demise etc etc etc. When was the last time you heard Jimi Agbaje or Ambode? The beginning of the end of their noise started on election day when they got their results….that’s when the stop to their noise began. The day Orubebe made that infamous dramatic performance was the beginning of the end of Jonathan. From that day onwards even though he was still president for another few months, he became an irrelevance, nobody cared about him culminating in what we see today…nobody cares what he has to say!! A similar fate awaits Obi!! The journey to irrelevance is a process that starts with an event and ends with sudden realization we’ve stopped hearing from xyz. |
Thankfully, in a few weeks we will start to stop hearing from this buffoon |
Robinmido:You didn’t know Jandor only decamped from APC less than 2 years ago? |
Robinmido:Was he not himself formerly a member of APC. He knows the game. |
PrinceOfLagos:Feel free to hang on to whatever makes you avoid the reality of the impending defeat of Obi at the polls. Tinubu was not on the ballot in Osun. Everybody (well those with a brain) knows APC lost Osun because of Aregbe not because of Tinubu. |
Lizzysamuel:The problem with Obi and his promises is that the biggest problem with agriculture is the land use act. You can’t change the lane use act without support of the National Assembly…he has no members in the National Assembly. Secondly, the kind of agriculture he is promising does not create jobs because truly efficient agriculture is mechanized. To expand agriculture in a way that employs rural dwellers is to create an inefficient agricultural sector that is not competitive internationally. Small holding farms of 1 or 2 hectares creates lots of rural jobs but the farm output cannot compete internationally so our agricultural output cannot compete on the export market or compete with imports unless you close borders….which is why Buhari closed the borders….a very inefficient way of running the agric industry. The kind of agriculture that can compete internationally requires large scale farms in the thousands of hectares where 2 or 3 tractors, harvesters, platers do the job of 1000 people. Furthermore it requires amendments to the land use act. You can’t have it both ways. We have been attempting this agric revolution since 1977 under Obasanjo…it is not rocket science….. it always fails. Nonetheless every presidential candidate always promises without understanding the issues. |
Fujiyama:No it is not, it happens everywhere that the party in power votes against a proposal of the executive bill from the same party especially a constitutional amendment. Perhaps you should watch more CNN and SKy news instead of Africa magic all the time. It’s just a statement of fact. It just tells you how hard it is to amend the constitution. The National Assembly has already passed many amendments to the costitution but waiting for state houses of assembly to ratify. If anything credit should be given to APC for amending the constitution in bits which is what they are trying to do. PDP tried but failed to make any amendments. Your statement is a very stupid statement. |
The party with a majority in the National Assembly and with the majority of governors and state houses of assembly is struggling to amend the constitution . Yet somebody who will have no governors and no National Assembly members is making promises that can only be delivered via a constitutional amendment. Even worse, his followers believe he can deliver the promises without national Al assembly or governors supporting him. Let’s not forget you need N/A to pass ordinary budget, approve ministers etc etc. |
Parrot69:Typo I meant $500billion. $50-100bn over the next 10 years will not do much!!! We need that on an annual basis. |
