Eco mode (Economy Mode) in TVs could be in two forms:

1. Low- Runs 30% lesser
2. High- Runs 50% lesser (which means runs at about
44% W.

I.e. running the TV on energy saving Option Low could reduce energy (98 W) use by 30% if this feature is enabled, and running the TV on energy saving Option High could reduce energy (98 W) use by 50% if this feature is enabled...


NOTE: Sometimes the Eco mode in TVs may not be necessary, as the view mode automatically saves power.

dear solasola and truthbetold, what the both of you said is unfair. never has anyone on this forum with a large array questioned or insulted anyone's small array/system. these older guys are usually very willing to help others. if you haven't seen houses that need such systems, I have, but still, that is not sufficient reason to basically insult their choice of an electricity system. please do not drive these men away from this thread with your bad attitude. they try out new innovation with their system which gives us the courage to try it out on our smaller systems. And please, truthbetold, stop with the foul language, it makes you look bad

In all sincerity, you have the most inefficient system on this Forum. I am not sure why the other enthusiast choose to ignore but renewable energy is not a race or a competition of the largest solar array and largest battery bank. It is more a function of getting steady power at a reasonable and comparative price as opposed to relying on the national grid.

Even at 3X solar capacity production, you would be generating 60,000 watts daily. I struggle to understand why anyone would go through that much energy in a day for a regular house and claim to be a renewable energy enthusiast. It isn't a function of deep pockets, it is more a stupid approach.

Simply swapping out a few energy guzzling appliances and using timers and energy saving lighting will reduce your consumption by half. I struggle to understand how spending 10 million on Solar which needs to be swapped out in 10 years makes sense. At that price point, you are paying 80-100K per month effectively. What then would it cost to simply be on generators.

Again, if you have as much wisdom as you display on this forum, you do not need 19,000 watts of installed panels. Not sure what point you are trying to prove but need I remind you that you are not a factory and do not live in a palace.

If you look above, you'd see I've made some few details and corrections. Average or Nominal power is the continious or long term power that the TV consume, while Maximum power is very short term spikes in power that the TV may have to consume, and no TV runs full blast on it's Maximum or Peak power.
So, the Average, Norminal, or Standard Power (90 W) is what the TV consume continuously, and not the short term spikes in power (120 W).

Taking over is just for some peeps on this thread, as it stands over 99.9% still rocking their lead acid. The reasons tend from the pricing, availability, and of course lack of the knowledge of the technology.

120 watts consumption. That is what a 220 litres deep freezer uses.

So does this TV have the option of POWER SAVER MODE that can be activated to reduce that damning 120 watts to something more tolerable like 40 watts?

I know Samsung, LG, and Hisense TVs have power savers that makes them sweet for use with solar installations.

Does this TCL have it?

The pilot ignored several warnings from the tower operators, insisting that his obsolete aircraft was a military vehicle belonging to the U.S. Air Force.

The craft was finally escorted to the airfield by two F-14 jet fighters and landed on the airfield under close scrutiny.

The base’s security staff was extremely surprised to see two disoriented old men wearing WW2 uniforms come out of the cockpit, visibly confused.

According to U.S. Air Force spokesman, Colonel James Miller, the two men claimed to be have disappeared in 1945 and have no memory of what happened to them over the last 75 years.

The soldiers asked the management of Airport if the war with Japan was over and who had won. These old guys seemed physically arranged.


Colonel Miller was reported to have said that the men’s fingerprints and teeth seemed to match the military records of the men they claimef to be, Lt. James Monroe and Captain David Smith Jr., but they seemed to be much younger than they should.

“They look around 65 years old when they should be over 110 years old. It’s as if they had gotten lost in a type of warp zone where time is slow.”

Both men as Reported by Time news will now undergo a thorough medical examination and interrogation to try and determine the veracity of their story and what may have happened to them.

The aircraft was authenticated as one of five planes part of Flight 19 which disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle in December 1945.

Flight 19 was taking part in routine navigation and combat training exercises in TBM-type aircraft when they lost radio contact and disappeared.

None of the planes were ever found, and another craft even disappeared while searching for them.

Unfortunately, the two men seem to have no memory of what happened to them during their ordeal, so the mystery remains total concerning the faith of the other aircrafts.

naah, hvnt used it, am eye balling it.
i wouldnt recommend connecting a single 300w panel to it. even if it is canadian solar panel, it will struggle to keep up.
i wish i can see an mppt cc where the load side will handle upto 250w dc load.

50m borehole depth is ok for me, as most boreholes there are 100 to 120ft deep.
the cable lenght being 15m is not relevant to me, as i plan to buy 16mm dual core and join to it

@24v, i believe is the standard rating , it should work ok from 20v to 40v..being the voltage range of a 24v panel, even at that, the Vworking voltage of any 24v panel is about 18v to 22v.

i have a novel idea..to run the power to the sumo from the mppt cc input, ie where i terminated the output from 2 x 24v 250w panels.....wonder if anyone has tried this approach before
so when the sumo is working..it will pick the needed 250w it needs ffirst from the panels, while the excess would go into the cc, and charge the normal setup i have
