Amuluonyenaego:Well, the fact is na small thief jam bigger thief. The DSS has been know to be uncouth, uncivilised and most times display great levels of unprofessionalism with attendant loss of lives and properties due to such activities. The police on their own are greater in the display of those outlines professional evils. So this is a matter of the greater predator unleashing his evil on the lesser predator on the food cgain. Of course the "bloody civilian" has always been the prey of both predators, which if and when given the chance will not bat an eyelid before displaying their evil to the harmless civilian. Have you seen the front page thread where some three soldiers molested a police, traffic warden actually? Well, that is the same predatory activity along that food chain being displayed there. It is only when the empowered in the society (like the military and paramitary) realise that they are expected to display absolute responsibility, professionalism, empathy and human disposition in the discharge of their duty (which involves the bearing of arms) that such anomaly as this will stop. They are expected to "protect and serve". But as long as they all keep displaying the direct opposite, "oppress and extort" on the taxpayers, the vi ious cycle will not stop. |
Joeyfizzo:By default, there is a blanket curse on military and paramilitary, most especially the police in Nigeria. The moment you join any of these, you are usually exposed to the curses. The curses, pains and petitions to the divine by miliions of Nigerians who have at one time or the other undeservedly been maltreated or cheated by these security operatives are too much to be ignored, so somehow these petitions do manifest as a form of jinx on the average Nigerian security operative. Joeyfizzo:What the wise ones amongst the officers do to escape the repercussion and the jinx is to stay away from the bad attitudes and wickedness that attract such curses. That way they are immune to it even if they keep working in such organisations. The prayers and good wishes from those saved by their goodness is enough to keep the jinx at bay. Compare it to the police in sane climes that the citizens are always proud of and in most cases extend goodwill to the officers in form of gifts and verbal appreciation of gratitude. The old man of a colleague was an immigration officer. He was so good and straight that his junior officers will always want him to travel home to his family so that they can have the chance to carry out their extortion and malpractices at the border, because if he was around, none of that will ever happen under his watch as a supervisor. I had once been with him at a moment a random man called him that he needed his help because the officers at the border demand for bribe even though he had all his papers and everything complete. Unfortunately at that time, he was hundreds of kilometers away from work on home visit. |

“But someone said he saw the retired Customs officer in a Toyota car that sped past him while he was returning home from his farm,” said a local who craved anonymity in an interview with Saturday Vanguard.Something as simple as a public CCTV installed at strategic areas would catching the licence plate of this car, the colour (which would also be verified by the anonymous eyewitness) and the route it took would have solved this problem faster. The number plates database in the country is now comprehensive enough that a stolen vehicle in far away Bayelsa (as long as it's registered) could be recovered at the point of rẹ-registration in Abuja. The day I wanted to get a tint permit and had all my info displayed on the computer at the police station while they verified if my answers tallied with the questions that followed was the day I accepted that the vehicle registration database is mature enough to be used to solve crimes, but inefficiency of the government and the police will not let it work. |
DSS members are actually criminals under this Buhari administration. They do a lot of dirty job including killing innocent people, arson and causing chaos in order to try to force a particular public narrative or opinion on the populace. Recall what they did at Igboho's house and denied it until overwhelming evidence made them to publicly admit guilt. The arsons, killings and disruption of peace in the South East in order to paint some particular group in bad light is an example. Not that the group is innocent or saintly, but the DSS is as bad or even worse than the criminals they aim to catch. |
Love this. The pursuit looks like something from a movie. |
Now MACBAN can quickly come out to shout that they aren't terrorist organisation forgetting that several times in the past l, they have directly or indirectly thru their statements sanctioned the activities of armed fulani herdsmen as it negatively affects farmers across Nigeria. Heck, they even insulted Akeredolu for trying to ensure peace for his own people against the onslaught of killer Fulani herdsmen. And they dare say they aren't terrorist organisation? So they mean to say that the international declaration of Fulani herdsmen as the third most dangerous terror group after ISIS is false àbí? Yet they will be the first to shout that IPOB should be proscribed. What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. If IPOB can be proscribed, then MACBAN should be proscribed too. But hey, I forgot that a nepotistic Fulani liar and incompetent despot is the one in charge of Nigerian affairs, so they can do or say as they wish for as long as he is there. No worry, na few months remain for una. Your mouth go bleed well well by the time Nigerians decide to take their own pound of flesh. Your "Aso Rock saviour" will not be there to save you by then. |
Dayuuuum! Like a stuffed s3x doll? So what happened to getting it from Chidinma or what's the name of that his baby mama sef? |
Valto:I don't think it's what you think it is, although I stand to be corrected. Like I said earlier, it looks like DIY18650s pack, done using those types of cells that are salvaged from malfunctioning MTN lumous packs. They are Samsung cells and I already mentioned somewhere about the use of such cells. Each cell cost less than 300 hundred compared to around 800 naira per one for new original cells. I say this because I have packs built from these salvaged cells, although they're for personal use, not for sale. And I used containers similar to the ones shown in that picture. The cells (at least my own cells) still retain as much as 95 percent capacity when tested. If it is indeed what I think it is, another caveat is if he soldered the cells or used a spot welder. Having had experience with both, spot welded battery pack is what I'll prefer. And indeed, investing in a spot welder means my own packs are spot welded, and each cell is fused too. The moment I spotted the post, I already made a rough calculation of the cost of the items including the two 150w solar panel, the inverter, the case and the cells (if they are the cells I suspected he used) and I can see the seller still made reasonable profit at the 200k price. I'm not really holding brief for the seller. I'm just saying what I think it is. It is left for the buyer to verify every specifications the seller claims for the pack. He can ask for a capacity test to be performed before taking the plunge. |
bukolo:The package must have passed thru customs, but some inefficiencies at certain points suggest that scanning was probably not done at those missing stages. Customs check and clearance is a must for any item entering the country or any country for that matter, except smuggled goods. Also the fact that several stages got updated within 24hrs means that the item had probably arrived local post office since before the yuletide but the scanning was just carried out yesterday to get all those updates. The danger there is that those unscanned points are easy points for items to get missing or stolen since there is no official tracking info to prove that it was at such points in transit. |
Chimex1930: ceaser:So this Anker is visibly much bigger than my Bose Soundlink II, but then the Anker premium which was produced around the same time as the Bose Soundlink was also bigger than the former in size. Check out the picture comparing the ASM size with the charging Dock of the Bose Soundlink II. Which reminds me, I will have loved a charging dock with this but apparently Anker does not buy into this charging dock of a thing unlike Bose Premium speakers which usually come with charging docks. Also I noticed that this is quite louder than the Bose Soundlink, but the bass fraction is still unimpressive compared to the Bose Soundlink's. What I'm getting from this ASM is the same frequency spread as I got with the Anker Soundcore Premium of 3 years ago, although the volume is louder with the ASM. At that time, my unsatisfaction with the Anker Premium made me to further my search until I came by the Bose Soundlink II. With this ASM, every frequency seems to come out impressively crisp and clear, no doubt. The import of getting all frequency is that full bass will be compromised, something which is absent with the Bose, hence its greater bass output. I will try out the Anker app for the customised equaliser that someone posted here a while ago and see the improvement with that. Of course both the Anker Soundcore Premium and the Soundlink Mini II both boast 20 watts, but the ASM boast an extra 10 watts on that (30 watts). It also has ability to connect as TWS (to another ASM for bigger volume and stereo effect), something which neither of the former two has. Having said all that, I'm not seriously wowed by this ASM but I think I will keep it and leave the Bose Soundlink for the hijacker @ Chimex1930, but I'm sure a lack of satisfaction will still tempt me to lookout for a contemporary release of the ASM on the Bose platform. And I'm sure that device is going to cost an arm and a leg.

So I got called from the PO that I have an item. Curious as to which item is with PO cos most items I'm expecting are on speedaf. I checked 24 track app and noticed several updates of the Soundcore Motion number within one day (6th January) that terminates in "Failed delivery". There's even no update of "arrival at destination country", neither of any suggestive of passage thru customs. The Post Office billed me 1k saying the item is a big item (they could tell because the seller's content description as "speaker" but I disagreed with their charges based on that. I sha gave 'em the money on top say dem ask for Xmas and new year things and also because they were kind enough not to let the item go "missing".

seunfly:AliExpress still uses NIPOST ó. ![]() You'll have known the changes and peculiarities over the months if you've been regular on the thread as this has been discussed many times. |
genius43:This holds true. I placed an order yesternight. The default was Singapore Post and this is a health item for a patient that needs to be used in the shortest possible time. Immediately I saw SingPost for 1k8, I wanted to quit the item but then I noticed the second option of AESS for 2k3, and that's what I went for. This morning it has been shipped with NG....R. I prefer paying an extra 500 naira to avoid SingPost and NIPOST and secure the rest of mind that comes with Speedaf. |
adedejis2:This looks 18650 DIY packs in 3s config (going by the 12v on the voltmeter). 150ah is quite some power if it truly is 150ah. Also for him to have provided 1000w continouos (2000w peak) inverter along with it may mean he already has performed his tests on the pack to know that at least a 500w load can get quite some juice in the 150ah pack. As per the controller not provided, usually in these kind of DIY packs, the charging is done via a solar panel input which has a DC - DC buck (step down) converter. So all you just need to do is plug in your 150w solar panel directly to the pack. If he provides a durable BMS in the pack, a good and reliable buck converter and a good warranty (maybe at least one year), then you may consider it. Can you provide here for us the gadgets he says this could power and the estimated backup time (duration of work) after full charge? Also ask him if it requires)/comes with CC. And he should explain to you the method of charging. As the client, you should know these and many more technical details about what you intend to buy. |
Better put: Buhari: 2022 Budget Won’t Fail Because APC Leads National Assembly to keep plunging the country into debt of borrowing to fund it An opposing party will not always assent to the request to keep borrowing trillions of naira, hence Buhari is happy that his party leads the rubber stamp legislature. It's sad that these people that call themselves leaders are thieves who are not ready to challenge themselves intellectually on how to fund the budget aside from borrowing to do it. Even the revenue generated via the current evil tax regime on Nigerians are all stolen and squandered by the political class. |
Which kain convictions? Shey the underdogs convictions (yahoo boys) or the grandmaster convictions (Nigerian politicians), a bigger thief whose actions occasioned the establishment of the former; and is even legitimised by the SARS/Police (who collect bribe from fraudsters/yahoo boys)? Abeg make dem go siddon. |
Alfabest07:I think about 6.5% of the total declared price of the item. If the price is underdeclared and customs just accept it like that and calculate it based on that, then lucky you. But when it comes to mobile phones and computers or to parcels they suspect are mobile phones, they always probe further by opening up such parcels (customs have right to open up any parcels for proper inspection if they suspect any form of foul play). So if they eventually discover it is a mobile phone wrongly labelled "gift item" especially an android device or an iPhone, they can most time easily tell the likely prevailing price of such item. So what they do is to re-evaluate the price and then bill you the duty based on the reviewed price. Should you be dissatisfied, you can file a contest but you must be willing to present a receipt or some form of invoice to prove that the price declared on the parcel is indeed the amount you bought it. |
Icolosis:I tried this during 11/11 of 6 years ago when exchange rate was a little bit reasonable under Jonathan. My card was immediately blocked by Ecobank. This is a card that I'd before then consistently used for AE purchases. I guess they suspected a fraudulent use. And although the card was released for use after about 72hrs (after 11/11 was over), I have not tried pulling that stunt again with any card for that matter for fear of causing the same thing. |
animationagency:Trouble dey sleep, yanga go wake am. It seems you missed the lamentations of people who had their speedaf NG....E parcels handed over to unreliable NIPOST. They would have preferred Speedaf handles those items all the way. Like me, I have three of such that has been stuck in NIPOST for almost a month with no hope of being contacted. |
TruthUntold:Every debit alert of my transactions on AliExpress have always been followed by corresponding sixty something naira alert from the bank. If that is not me paying VAT already, I dont know what it is. Abi they want to charge me double VAT after the debit on AliExpress dominated alerts? This FG is as confused as anything. And this is one of the very many reasons why SMEs don't thrive in this country - multiple taxation that literarily kills them and make 'em go bankrupt. |
Prechy2Ej: aieromon:42 days na wa o. Me I have 30 days in transit . Last update was "dispatched to destination country" since 12/12/21. I think that's like 24 days ago. Haba! SingPost can give someone depression.

KiNg0G:Relocating? As in japa-ing?Greet mama Charlie for us ó, or maybe na Joe Biden. Tell dem say 9ja politicians no dey try at all say na 9ja guys dey generate electrical power themselves. earthrealm:If you can afford the 52k MPPT, then I support that suggestion. With your lithium and an appropriately sized load, the satisfaction you'll get will likely tempt you to upgrade sooner than later. If you own a 60amp MPPT now, it will not be a headache by then. |
okikigsm:Congrats. I'm truly happy for you. This item is of little use to a NIPOST guy. Na things like "Alcatel mobile phone", the batteries and the charger, iPhone, Xiaomi including most smartphones and Bluetooth speakers including Anker Soundcore Motion (Still hoping mine arrives) that are of significant interest to 'em. Shameless thieves. GreaterFuture6:Shey the same Union bank (a century year old Bank) wey Titan bank (just incorporated in 2018) don buy and acquire? Team "waiting for items on SingPost", please let's congregate here ó. |
I am sure this is a section from a nollywood movie or Ghanaian movie, not a real life thingy. These bloggers are probably just trying to cash out from sensational stories. Ah, abi is it really true? This is soft porn o, if true. |
Nigerians know already. That is why the iseless politicians were muting something about "Nigerians having faith" in 2022 instead of acting in ways that will improve the lives of the citizens.Bur don't worry, Nigerians will be waiting for 'em. |
Oh. I rushed here to see pictures probably showing their bellies blown open and some parts of their innards and blown limbs scattered around for the forest pigs to feast on. How am I gonna be sure kachalla is truly dead now o? And why does it sound like Tchalla of the black panther superheroes flick? |
Yeah. Nigerians should be hopeful of renewed austerity, refreshed hardship and revamped next level. With the upcoming evil hike in fuel prices, taxes and customs duties, Nigerians should be hopeful bah? This Buhari no even get better thing to yearn. |
Y'all must be high on bùrùkùtù. May God not let Nigerians see what will make them believe Buhari is better. That is what the outcome with Yèyẹ́ Bello will most likely be. |
TruthUntold:And it also shows the last time they were "active" on the chat/messages section, like it does on WhatsApp. I believe sellers will also get to see the same info about the buyer. |
Habayomie:It depends on if your tracking number is "NG" that ends with "R" or "E". For the former, expect speedaf to get in touch with you in about a week after customs clearing is passed. For the latter, ọmọ na patience be the key. NIPOST handles it and they will contact you in at least 4 weeks after it clears customs. Babalegba:Please don't blame people for being too careful. These are terrible times. An harmless information that belongs to someone else can be utilized in so many evil ways even if it's not possible to hijack the parcel. If he needs tracking to be done for him, then the compromise he'll make is to volunteer the info necessary to help him. |
jboixxx:"Priority mail" that takes 6 months to be delivered, spending close to 5 months within Nigeria and as a hostage under NIPOST. Is that one priority mail? Priority kọ́, Minority ni. |
