mctfopt:That is another shocker for me, aswear. The first time I encountered them, they had two parcels that will attract 500 naira each (total of 1k) in NIPOST charges for me. They called that they are on their way to my workplace (the delivery address). I was like what dá hell? And being already used to NIPOST's "Come to our office to pick up" policy, I simply told them that they should not bother but just give me their office address jẹ́jẹ́, lemme come and pick my package myself before they start giving me stories like we couldn't locate you and had to put it in "returns". Ọmọ, they insisted o, and find me they did. I only needed to provide a means of identification and that was it. Okay, I checked the package and no price was scribbled on it (like NIPOST does). I was now looking at the mouth of the delivery man if he would say "oga, you have to pay charges". But disappointedly shocked was I when after I thanked him, he too thanked me, turned and walked away. Along with some guilt questioning myself if I should have given him something, I also kept wondering that this tracking is definitely not DHL's or its likes (even those ones still throw decorum to the winds and shamelessly ask something for the boys), so I kept arguing with myself say wetin dey, who be these guys? Three more parcels after that they called again, but I insisted it must be in their office, which is of course a ploy to satisfy my curiousity. They had their signboard along the main trunk A road, but you needed to branch off and drive about five NEPA poles in-street on an untarred, barely motorable road to get to their designated location. I guess they couldn't find an office beside the main road or perhaps it was too expensive. The building is your regular three or maybe two bedroom apartment with a toilet and bathroom to serve all. The sitting room/palour was adapted as the office. The office was very bare save a work table and a chair both placed a little off-centre of the room. The barebone appearance of the place is apparently because it was recently rented and construction and building refurbishments works were visibly on-going. The room also had a sitting bench for clients placed against the wall by the entrance. I discovered they are a Chinese company with subsidiaries across Nigeria, they not only ship into Nigeria from China but vice versa. The few minutes I was there, they made about one or two calls to Lagos in follow up of different items that people are shipping from Nigeria to the outside. Few clients came in to collect footwears (which surprisingly the speedaf agent herself does not even know how to go about ordering on AE and got some insight from the client). No charges were collected from anyone. They use apps on their mobile phones for their process of items arrival to item collection perhaps until such time the rehabilitation and construction works in the building are completed and they can set up good office space where they can use larger gadgets like computers and the likes. Upon arrival of items, they use their phones to scan the QR code on the package and according to them, a message is automatically generated and sent to the recipient's email address notifying them of the arrival of the item. They also place phone calls to the recipient. Then when the he/she comes to collect it, they either scan the QR code or enter some information about the package on their mobile phone app and then it's handed over to the the individual. There were stacks of bags in one corner of the room and I was told they are returns of items that recipients rejected (not that recipients couldn't be located). They are shoes and clothing, mostly shoes, that had wrong sizes sent. When I inquired why mostly shoes, they responded that there is a shoe merchant in China that recently adopted "speedaf" as the sole logistics agent because of the reliability and that more sellers will likely adopt them in the coming weeks. |
odimbannamdi:Bàbá, read the messages. Dude dey here already. I've gotten 5 different packs of different capacities from him till date. He even replaced for free one that the battery post terminals got damaged in transit. One thing though, is that na pay before delivery and you'll most likely be responsible for the payment for shipping. But he will deliver it. Usually within a week of concluding payment, item gets to Ondo/Ekiti, in most of my dealings with him. omotoda:If your inverter has so far served you well, is rugged, big, strong and reliable, you might wanna keep it. It is something worth keeping. And it does not prevent you from acquiring LFP to use with it. The only change you require is to do away with the in-built AC charger of the inverter and use an external Lithium charger hooked to the battery instead. Of course if you also have solar panels and CC, that makes the job of charging easier. |
Penuelseun:I think aside from low frequency inverters' naturally high idle consumption, another factor for any inverter, high frequency or not to have distressing no-load consumption is the presence of add ons like chargers. The charger circuitry even when not in use contributes its own parasitic drain. Although I have seen one inverter that defies the rule - that BTS inverter. Also I think someone here has pointed out a low frequency inverter whose idle consumption is even much lower than typical high frequency ones. Dam5reey:I agree with you. The mainstream is now gradually and faster than ever drifting towards lithium. The affordability is easing and with many offerings and start ups in the market (save ones like felicity that lie about capacity), it can only get better. I think to my guys that still stick with Lead acid, it is a function of what still works for them, the ability to have a hugely oversized bank (as is expected to be with lead acid) that does not impair functionality much and probably in addition, the undesire to give up on a huge investment in LA in favour of lithium without first maxing/squeezing out the last drop of the investment on it (lead acid). I believe acceptance and transition to LFP despite being an avid fan of LA was easier for Oga Níyì because he had clients that were much more interested in the new thing, he had to get them their choice and in the process had first hand exposure to LFP. The need to properly intimate himself to that chemistry in order to serve that section of clients necessitated owning banks himself. And now he is a faithful disciple. . Now he apparently even wants to do away with just few weeks old 272ah cells in order to upgrade to maybe 1000ah cells. Ha! Baba, Tuale o.I hope I assumed correctly sha. ![]() In the coming months, we should see guys engaging in e-vehicle constructions or modifications, starting majorly with e-bikes. Maybe this thread will also accommodate that new entry or perhaps it will have its own thread altogether. |
Namzy:Even if it is 100ah, why not brand it 100ah rather than mislead people by false declaration, hyping and inflating the capacity in order to justify a price tag? Anyways it's Nigeria, SON is moribund. Valto:You no lie about that Jos guy offer. Valto:As at last the time I got a 24/100 from him January, it was for 270k. But it's more expensive now. He blames the worsening naira-dollar exchange. He also admits to have upgraded the BMS in the 24v to Bluetooth enabled one, of course with increased cost too. So I believe it will now be around 300k. Edited: mantims:Guy, you don dey Nairaland. .You kukuma want to dey do the marketing in the first person. |
Has anyone seen the movie "AI"? The "AI" movie is a finesse improvement on Will Smith's "I-robot" movie. Well this is it. Very soon every home will be able to have at least one robot. |
DoggoneDogg:I will not indulge your inanities. Either you are Fulani, aiming at degrading this thread to Igbo versus Yoruba tirade or you are an inconsequential South Easterner that has ignorantly allowed himself get suck into the fake squabbles programmed by the feudals to maintain a disunited south. Either way, you can only try so much. There is a time for everything. And usually these things come around full circle. So don't cry when tomorrow you become a direct recipient of the evil precedence you created. |
MuhidDada:You dont know the abracadabra of this government, do you? Right now the NNPC admits that it has not made any profit for almost 10 months because it, as it claims, uses it for In under one year, the DPR (under Fulani of course) announced that Nigeria daily PMS consumption rose from 30 million litres daily to 100 million litres daily! Of course this was to justify the apparent back-to-back loss of NNPC (also under the fulani). So don't be surprised that by the time the PIA begins to be effected, a previously unprofitable NNPC will overnight begin to make enough profits to dwarf, non-cumulatively speaking, the proposed 3% equity stake in the communitys' oil projects. |
Chrisbella24:If your item is to get to you from China, it will have to scale a lotta hurdles. There is this ugly trend with customs officials drooling over electronic gadgets imported into Nigeria, especially thru AE. So they tend to slap depressing, inhibitory and mind boggling import duties on such items. Apple gadgets and Xiaomi appears to top the list. Know this that legally, the officials at random or deliberately open up packages to check what is in it, so they always know when it is a phone. So even if you originally bought it for cheap, you may end up paying more than you will had you bought it here. In the very rarest of cases though, the item escapes custom's scrutiny. Then there is this problem with hmmm, NIPOST. That one too na another story of either delayed, lost in transit or stolen item. Both scenarios bring the challenges to an anecdotal high 70%. Now you may want to consider expedited shipping like DHL and Co to handle your item which gives you some assurances over NIPOST's inefficiencies and even quick delivery within 2 weeks with adequate tracking, but it will likely not escape custom's scrutiny. Now there is also this "version" issue with Xiaomi mobile phones, something I'm yet to understand fully but which I believe will have experts about it on this thread. Chinese version, global version, Chinese ROM, global ROM are all the terms used and it is usually adviced that for Nigerian user, it is safer to go for one particular version over another. There is also the problem of quality or product imitation from useless sellers on AE, although reading buyers' reviews on the sellers can save you the headache and help you identify authentic from fake sellers. There are also dedicated Xiaomi stores on AE which always sell original devices. Then comes the issue of warranty. I'm not sure you can get that for mobile phones purchased on AE. A clear advantage of AE over SLOT that I can think of is that exotic and new upgraded versions of products show up on AE much faster than they do on SLOT, although such devices eventually find their way into the Nigerian Market after a few months. If you alternatively decide to get it from SLOT, you will be saved custom's wàhálà, you will physically see your device and probably have a few minutes of hands-on-experience before you make your decision to purchase, you gat no painful waiting period no matter how short and finally you get your warranty on purchased devices. Some warranties of some products in SLOT even go up to two years, I think. Opting for SLOT may mean you will pay higher though. So I think purchasing your device locally will be a better option. I myself have bought a phone only once on AE and deliberately it was a refurbished device. I am not comfortable buying new phone on AE. That was 4 years ago and a device as old as a Lumia device will only be available as refurbished. It was a Lumia 1520 (being a Windows phone/Nokia fan). Custom's wàhálà was not this rife then and even if it was, I doubt they'll drool over an unpopular Windows device as they will over apple. I still plan to purchase mobile phones on AE in the nearest future, but mainly vintage ones, just for the keeps and just to stand a little different from the pop culture of sophisticated devices. I love the idea of spotting a flip phone/device from yesteryears. My options for now are Nokia 3250 (had one before that I bought brand new 16 years ago), Motorola RAZR, and maybe the Lumia 950xl. |
Ha! The gods should met out their judgement without wasting time. Every saboteurs should not live long to spend this 823 àbí 617 million naira. People this is how you know how Fulani run the show. Is it a surprise that we are running serious financial deficit despite increase crude dollar earnings within the past few months and increased taxation on citizens? (increased taxation is one for of governance used by the Fulani as revealed by Lugard's letter to the Queen), Is it any surprise that the government keeps borrowing to "fund itself" despite reasoning to the contrary? Is it any surprise that the repatriated loots from foreign countries and recovered loots from past corrupt officials are all declared missing under Malami's watch? Is it any surprise that Nigeria'S daily PMS consumption jumped from 30 million litres daily to daily in just one year and the government maintains that subsidy These are part of what they use these monies for. And the myopic lawmakers are too gullible to know that the Fulanis come back to kill them after they must have gotten what they want. Ruggedniggaone:They wouldn't know it was that much until they read this news. In the coming days, you will start seeing oppositions and fight within the ranks of the legislooters, expressing displeasure at being given just peanuts when the principal officers are bribed half a billion. Edited - See this: It's happening already https://www.nairaland.com/6712317/lawmakers-set-showdown-over-lopsided#105009855 Patrioticman007:How about the Gold in Zamfara? How about sharing the proceeds from its sale to the FAC account? Hypocrites. You see why I'm happy all this is happening? Y'all can only do so much. By the time the baton changes, you should be prepped to be served hot in the same manner you dished out to fellow compatriots. And you must not complain. It is a terrible thing to create bad precedences, for you just do not know when you will be at the receiving end. That is the story of Aguiyi Ironsi. I bet he will wish he could go back in history and not abolish regionalism that Igbos and the rest of Nigeria (aside the North) agitate for today. That will definitely be the story of Buhari and the Fulanis in Nigeria. |
ObabyObaby:You give felicity too much credit o. Bluetooth kẹ̀? When they have not even been generous enough to put a display meter for easy reading of SoC and probably over declared the capacity, you are thinking of Bluetooth BMS. By the way, that switch is not even expensive sef. It is just about 250 naira equivalent. I still ordered few pieces on AE days ago for a project. |
justcallmenuel:Likely another overdeclared capacity by Felicity. It looks the same size as a 12v120ah LFP that I have. Anyone wanna find out for guys? |
busuyi44:Lucky you. I envy you though. You still get to taste the best of both worlds - Combined delivery plus Fast, reliable logistics (speedaf).Things can't get any sweeter. |
The US law Courts are apparently becoming places for reprieve for the oppressed against the "untouchables", the oppressed who will ordinarily have been denied justice within the Nigeria judiciary. First it was Onyeama. Then Abba Kyari and now Dangote. Although we know that the Nigerian state knows how to frustrate extradition process with a view to keep indulging the accused who should have been sent over to clear their names. |
The scathing lawsuit pierced into Mr Dangote’s alleged underhand dealings as a towering figure in Nigeria’s capital markets. OYINDAMOLA OLUBAJO • AUGUST 18, 2021https://gazettengr.com/dangote-drugged-my-wife-got-her-raped-stole-my-trade-secrets-businessman-tells-u-s-court/

Tempo1644: VICTOR4U2C:Oh no. Two people already. That's more than a coincidence. That means I should be expecting this to happen anytime from now. Using it for 10 months already. Edited: But may J suggest something for yhr two of you that may just solve this problem? It's just a guess but may it'll work. This is because I think the screen problem is more of software glitch than hardware problem. Why I think so is because none of you two reported any physical insult to the TV or any undue exposure to bad mains current. Also at different times before I have experienced instances where the "source" option refuses to come on and I won't be able to change from AV source to HDMI, home or any other source. Then I will need to reset the TV to bring things back to normal. In one instance, I noticed one of the speakers stopped functioning and believing that it was a hardware problem, I decided to connect my earphones thru the Bluetooth and also discovered that one of the speakers of the earphones also did not work. This made me to conclude that the problem was not with the TV speakers, but probably with the software. At that time, rẹ-installing the TV solved the problem. So here goes: Reset your TV: On your remote, press "options". Scroll to and select "TV options". Them select re-install TV. Your TV will re-boot within 5 to 15 seconds and hopefully this should restore all things to normal. Please refer back to this place and let us know your feedback.

aminusodiq:That must have been Akure-Ilawe-Ado axis. The Akure-Ìta ogbolu-Ikere-Ado route is a death trap and in fact now a hotbed for kidnappers because of the many bad spots that forces vehicles to slow down. |
Lovenorth:Okay o. I hear you. Adios. |
Codedzng:Lucky you. Your item is being handled by the fastest AliExpress logistics from China to Nigeria as of today. Google "Speedaf" and track your item on their website. |
daddytime:I have limited ideas on those in that capacity. Sorry I couldn't be of much help. |
Lovenorth:Okay sorry my apologies, you unrepentant Boko Haram and bandit sympathiser. I missed that part in bolded. So to the two of you then, you're both pathetic and unreasonable dolts for bantering in irrelevance. And by the way IPOB was declared "terrorist" by your hypocritical, clannish and nepotistic people. That they did so does not mean that IPOB as a secessionist group is really a terror. Neither does the fact that you deodorize internationally acclaimed terrorists like Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram cum Bandits mean they are not. |
Jecyangel:There you go.

Oh really? Have you suddenly forgotten how the NP can make a donkey to admit it is a rat? Have you also forgotten how the government is trying so hard to ban most news outlet in other to streamline the news it propagates to Nigerians, painting bad news as good news the way it has been using the NTA? How about the DSS' lies about the invasion of Igboho'residence? You see, when you indulge bad attitude, it is sure to come back and bite you in the butt. Remember when the DSS in her usual gestapo manner invaded Saraki's with a view to intimidation? What was the response of the then acting president VP Osinbajo, according to the rule of law? What was the response and action of Buhari when he resumed as president back from his trip? Fast forward to now and see why the deterrence that Osinbajo created then would have built an egalitarian and feared DSS and compare to what the admittance and indulgence of Buhari has bred of a present day gestapo, executive assassin group and unintelligent DSS? So let's agree for the sake of arguments that IPOB indeed used 10 girls for rituals as instructed by Nnamdi Kanu. Then if established, the perps should be prosecuted according to the laws of the land, for what they committed by that is felony adequately captured as so by the constitution. So go back to your dictionary and find out the meaning of the word "terrorists", then come back to place any of IPOB, Odùduwà Nation BY Sunday Igboho, Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen in the proper category. Then further breakdown the number of victims that have so far fallen to crimes alleged to have been committed by each of the groups and make further categorisation as your educated mind dictates. Then check the results and see for yourself the mis-prioritisation and hypocrisy of your government, with connivance from their supporters among the terrorised populace. |
Really? The people in Southern Nigeria are the ones to change this narrative. With this admittance of error by the rubber stamp legislature, southerners should start picketing their representatives (I personally have an in-law as APC rep member that I've already made known my strong dislike for their I sensitivities to and I will keep throwing him my jabs online and offline) with a view to forcing them to do the needful: represent their interests and always be present at plenary to relay the demands of their constituencies regarding any subject matter discussed on the floor. For fvck's sake, there is GSM and Internet. You don't even have to travel down to your village to seek their opinion on things. Simply make yourself reachable thru the mobile phone, also conduct online polls to seek their opinions and relay such to the plenaries. |
Lovenorth:Are the Taliban Christians? Are Ipob terrorists, at least by international standards which you all love to giddy up to? Between Fulani herdsmen and IPOB, which outfit is internationally recognised as quite dangerous? Not even to start with your vain attempts to paint Bandits as non-terrorist peacemakers. When OPC was becoming a pain in the butt of Lagosians in those days of Obasanjo, Yorùbás wasted no time agreeing with the government to blacklist them as the terror group they were metarmorphosizing into. That promptly halted the degeneration and brought normalcy back into the group such that today, they remain a pan-yoruba group to reckon with. But here you are, you lots deodorising Bandits, boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen troubling your region and other parts of the country while you orgasm on branding secessionist as terrorists. Again, I present to you your no-terrorist peacemakers on the beat https://www.nairaland.com/6709243/bandits-break-into-islamiyya-school#104947139 The joke is on you.

Lovenorth:Is this defence? You hypocrite!

Well, coming from Lai Mohammed, I find it hard to believe. And if twitter makes any compromise in order to resume operations in Nigeria, I doubt it will record as much dedication, patronage and love it used to have from Nigerians. Even though I've never been on twitter, I for one will have an added reason not to join the microblogging platform should they compromise. “I can assure you that we will not rest until we regulate the social media, otherwise, nobody will survive it,’’ he said. You will be physically taken out of the picture by some divine providence and will not rest in the afterlife before you carry out this evil. |
If it is Akure-Owo highway, then it is Fulani herders until proven otherwise. That is why they ended up robbing an empty bullion van. A career armed robber/bullion van robber will not rob any van at random, but will have done the necessary background checks and surveillance and be sure that his target is sure to ferry money. A career kidnapper's surveillance will be within the purview of his own expertise - kidnapping people for ransom (K4R). They may have just happened on the bullion van. Including the fact that Fulani kidnappers are not so smart bunch, but are cowards emboldened by the muzzle of the weapons they wield, so the same insensible brashness made 'em to attack an empty bullion van. Also criminals tend to respect each other's terriroty, I believe, and no armed robber will dare operate in a territory that is solely that of ferocious kidnappers else they risk losing their lives. Or do you think any random armed robber from nowhere will dare go to Abuja-Kaduna highway, the turf of highly skilled Fulani kidnappers, to rob? Any robbery in that turf will have to be done by the kidnappers themselves who are probably diversifying sources of revenue. kelvinezeh55:The road you speak of is different from the Akure-Owó highway mentioned in the news article, a decrepit expressway compared to the pothole-ridden, gully-infested "lowway" you travelled. ubee:You expect so much from a government of ineptitude. Your wise counsel is best valued and applied in sane environments, for the present political structure in Nigeria is designed to silence and subjugate novel ideas. |
Óyá. Let this be replicated across southern Nigeria. Not just tackle, but outright beating, stoning and banishment from the village and the land of their birth. Let 'em be sent back to reside with the usurpers and anti-people they so much love to align with. Then let's see if they will remember that they sabotaged their own people for their sake and accept them (lawmakers) as their (usurper's) own. South south people should start hunting down their own representatives on the basis of the fraudulent PIB. |
Lovenorth:Mstcheeew! Just trying to be the mischievous dolt, creating division, turmoil and fomenting trouble and distrust, your stock in trade in the North. Do you even realise that that is what the devil is adept at? Creating trouble, war and bickering where there is peace, that is. Àbí what has IPOB got to do with this? |
So that means he had to drink a can of beer each time he needs to pee. Is he aware that the more he drinks, the more he'll need to pee hence the need for more cans? He should know that that is like going around in a circle. Indeed, he is a tenant from hell. Plut01: That's madness. Lol.It's called "coprophilia". Damn! You're lucky to have come across a case like his. I only learnt it in school. I've never come across a case in all my years of practice. Lovenorth:Mstcheeew!
