Issorait... When America were busy murdering strong regional leaders and toppling the Libyan, Egyptian, and Iraqi governments, they never envisaged they will be conceding power to the murderous insurgents they discreetly armed. Now, the crap has hit the fan, they have tasted power and want to establish their emirates and Madam Clinton is already throwing her former boss under the bus. Y'all must clean up this mess brewing from the Middle East to Africa, else the threatened peace in all these locations will leave the whole world with no peace. America's greed has been destroying the world installmentaly since the end of the 2nd world war! |
Ermmm... OP, are you the famous Customs Officer? Murano at 700k Oh I get it, it has no Engine! ![]() |
How does this stuff work, and how much is the cost? |
This is massive! 100m is the premium event in every athletics meet. Now she will be in a great mode for the forth coming Olympics. Congrats girl! We are proud of you! |

@OP I am just laughing at your comparisons, there is no where to start, as both cars are in different leagues. Corolla is an economy sedan for moving around the city for people that want to get the best value for their money on fuel, while Lexus is the Premium brand that pushes the Luxury range of Toyota. Better comparisons will be Corolla with Honda Civic, while you compare Lexus Rx with BMW X series or Mercedes ML |
I have only replaced the transmission oil on my '99 ride once. I think it was an Abro dextron 2 the Mech used (not certain now). The Engine oil is the one I buy myself, Mobil 1. Once I'm heading to the mech's for servicing, I branch into Mobil station and pick one can (the last I bought was almost 8k ). Five years down the line, the car still runs like mint, never had any single issue with Engine/transmission |
Please let me have the VIN asap! |
N2mil flat if the Autocheck cleans out. If you are game, drop the location address, hope it's in Lagos? And don't tell me Badagry, cos I ain't going there. |
What's the price tag on this beauty? |
Baldmarv: OLX is a free open platform any body can post anything they want; people post from pants to jewellery to phones to cars, how do you possibly think they will go looking for the price of things thousands of people post everyday? Or do you think OLX is a Nigerian site? They are all over even US olx dey. Use your head and stop complaining about a free service! For your mind now, your gibberish made sense abi? They spend millions of bucks advertising in DSTV and online, yet they can't filter the adverts for credibility. Is Nairaland not an open platform? Ask yourself why you can't see such ridiculous prices here. |
Sometimes I wonder if OLX was set up with looted funds, and allowed to be messed up by crooks Or else, it was set up by fraudsters in order to scam more people. I can't match the level of adverts they spend money on to the integrity of their site. You see these ridiculous prices every day, and nobody cares to do anything about it? I only grade them with the purported Customs facebook account that lists car prices as if they are Innoson motorcycles. Apart from Nairaland, the only other reasonable listings is on CarXus.com |
Where is the location? I need to inspect the ride |
Until any dealer/Clearing Agent confirms there is reduction in price at the point of payment, any pronouncement is just tales. |
slimthugchimee: It never stoped my runz..What a wasted generation! You mean you are proud that you can't write common WAEC exams by yourself? After wasting 6 years in the secondary school! Somebody tell me this is a joke. What are we breeding in this country ![]() |
From my previous experience of burning out 1Gb of BB complete within 2 weeks, I think the current consumption rate is not doing badly. I will post my data balance after one week. |
Incredible! I personally avoid these guys like plague, I do not drive beside any container/tanker bearing vehicle unless I'm overtaking. I prefer to stay behind them on a snarl traffic especially when you see that most of the trucks are bent in the middle or slightly bent sideways. I have seen a husband and wife flattened in their Benz by this death trap. I usually wonder why we don't have active presence of VIO/FRSC personnel at the container loading terminals to certify these trucks before they load up the containers. |
@OP Your information is highly misleading! What the Minister Aganga clarified yesterday is that for Companies that has made significant investment in local assembly plants e.g. Innoson, Nissan, PAN, etc. they will continue to pay 35% on fully built units in order to complements their local production volume. While every other buy and sell companies e.g Toyota Nigeria, Globe motors, Inspired Autos, Berger under Bridge dealers, and all Nairaland dealers will start paying the 70% as at 1st July this year. Now, the tricky part for me there is, how do you regulate the volumes that Nissan and co imports at 35%, knowing an average Nigerian business, what if they deliberately scale down their local production and keeps importing fully built units at lower rates in order to maximixe profit? I hope the minister and his team have a clear cut policy regulations that ensures that somebody will not fly under the radar of this plan to enrich himself. Meanwhile I am yet to see any of the companies advertising a Nigerian assembled Sedan in the media. Is it only trucks and buses they produce? What happened to private cars? |
It happened that I got a call from a customer support @Airtel yesterday on their new data offer. As a premier customer, I do get such calls often and once they call I already know they want to offer me another offer to corner more of my money. I don't blame them as they push to increase their ARPU. The offer is on a new BIS tariff that is usable on all phone types and is worth 2Gb @1500, instead of the usual BB Complete of 1Gb @1400. He requested to activate it for me immediately and I gave my consent. The package is currently on my S3 and working excellently well. I just hope it's not a gimmick that will run down within two weeks. Anybody else on the package? It seems they are no longer keen on blocking off non-BB devices, after all how many people still use BB these days? |
0rex: Chai! I guess people will now take car maintenance more seriously.Lol. I guess this is the best time to be a car technician. Even body spray shops will likely have increased patronage, as every body will want to preserve their fleet to last longer. |
I know someone that makes money just by training people to trade in Forex with promises of huge returns. He doesn't make jack from actual trading, but from inquisitive seminar attendees fees. P.S. Go and look for something better to do with your money. Gambling no be business! |
I am just pissed with my banker. My 3mths T-bills i did at almost 12% matured last week, and surprisingly they automatically reinvested the funds now that the rate is sub 10% !!! I actually remember that while i filled out the form then, I chose termination of the capital on maturity. Imagine tying down my funds at this low rate for the next 3 months! ![]() |
While I am sure that the merits/demerits of the new automotive policy has been severally discussed, the breaking news is that it has taken effect today, meaning that clearing fees has gone up from 20% to a whooping 70%! The implication is that an average sedan of around 2007-2013 which attracts market prices ranging between 1.6m - 3m Naira can skyrocket between 3m-5m Naira in the next couple of weeks as new shipments arrive. Now the question is, what are the available made-in-Nigeria sedans that can sell for less than 2m currently? Note that all the low end sedans (picanto, cherry etc) are also imported and their prices too will be hit. |
adeniyisavage: Seal the outer edges with water resistant gum and cure^^^ There goes the layman's advice. Seal the edges and leave the trapped waters inside to rot away the roof ![]() Siena: Bad advice, bruh. The Car is '99 Camry. Good to know there is a manual option for emergency opening. I'll appreciate advise on how to do that. Once I can get it open once again, I'll be able to locate the drain pipes and flush them for free water flow. |
