Found this while browsing the Net.

An opinion piece from a civilian who was given the opportunity to see how the SAAF operates

"My first visit was 85 Squadron (Combat Flying School) were pilots are introduced to jet aircraft and then trained on the Hawk to become fighter pilots. Students at this squadron mainly come from AFB Langebaan where they first completed their initial pilot's training and then passed a selection process to be trained as a fighter. I was extremely impressed by the members of this unit. It is sometimes said that there is no discipline in the defence force today and if I use 85 Squadron as a gauge of measurement, this is as far from the truth as can come. Although discipline in the military is usually a result of pressure, at 85 Squadron it is a result of absolute professionalism and respect for one another."

"desert produce body heat." and you say South Africans have dull brains!!!
Bwhahahahahahahahahahahahahaha lmfao I laughed so hard when I read that, AugustineAgain is an Idiot.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Centrifude(m):
AugustineAgain:
So after the Alpha jet tracks them what will the jet do? Nothing.

Body heat, the whole people in Chibok town produce body heat, the animals in the bushes and desert produce body heat .

Then Boko Haram is more intelligent than all you dullard South Africans, so they split up the girls into several smaller groups and headed in different directions and destinations.

No wonder they say South Africa as a nation has no modern COIN war experience, you think terrorists are stupiiid people that cannot think?

Rainbow Nation breeds people with rock bottom I.Q. No wonder you are only good at photography, snap a still object's image with SONY camera, no brainwork required
.
.
Can somebody please explain to this M0ron that a jet can be used for surveillance and keeping track keeping track of a target without engaging.

AugustineAgain there are plenty of uses for a jet they are not just used for the sole Purpose of combat, they can be used as an eye in the sky, they can be used to follow targets and help coordinated an attack or rescue without being directly involved.

Dude the fact that you think a jet is only used for combat and that the desert is warm then the human body at night *which is when the girls were kidnapped* just shows how EXTREMELY R3TARDED you are, LOL dude you are a hopeless case of perpetual st*pidity.

The jet or Heli would have been able identify them because it would be a very large convoy moving towards the border, its not like they stayed in Chibok After kidnapping the girls.

Lmfao busy talking about animals in bushes like a normal person can't tell the different between animals in a bush and a convoy of more than 300 people.

Last week the U.S. announced it was
discontinuing training for the Nigerian military,
a decision Washington said had come at
Nigeria’s request.

Nigeria-U.S. relations have floundered recently
following American criticisms of Nigeria’s
handling of the ongoing Boko Haram
insurgency.

@ the Bolded
Good choice, I said it before allowing Americans to train our forces was and still is a really bad decision.

AugustineAgain:
So that the Alpha jet can bomb all the Bokos and the 300 Chibok girls together right? Then BBC will come and video burnt bodies of the girls right? Then Amnesty International will give NAF best performing air force award right? Surely President Goodluck Jonathan will win 2014 Nobel price for Common Sense, right?

See the damage South African education has done to your already naturally low I.Q.

.
Dude you really do like letting your emotions cloud your judgement to the point that you can't even think straight.

Where did I say that your jets should have bombed them, I merely mentioned jets and Helicopters using thermal vision to track them, @ActivateKruger said that you couldn't even track down 300 girls, and I responded by saying that I was shocked when it happened because the heat produced by more then 300 hundred people would be clearly visible when using Thermal vision if you tried to track them using a jet or a chopper.
Dude are you so slow that we need to break down everything to its most fundamental aspects just for you to understand.

You keep bragging about having a higher form of intellect, and how superior you are, yet you can not even comprehend the most simplest of comments, you seriously lack the ability to understand what you're reading, you jump to conclusions without trying to understand what we've written.

AugustineAgain:
Chibok is 30 minutes drive from Chad and Cameroon
.
So are you telling me that NAF didn't have any Jets or Helicopters equipped with Thermal or Night Vision on stand by, just in case something extremely f*cked up happens.

The North is an obvious hotstop, I don't mean to sound like and expert on everything but you guys had plenty of helicopters back then, making sure that a couple of you S.F members are always on stand by and to have one or two choppers ready two provide support would be the most logical thing to do in an area like that.

ActivateKruger:
They can't even track a convoy of trucks carrying 300 girls.
Duuude! That really shocked me bruh if It had been ten or twenty people then it would have been understandable, the heat produced by more than three hundred people travelling in a single convoy would have been clearly visible from a jet or helicopter that has thermal vision, and its not like NAF didn't have Thermal vision before the abductions.

For sure you're right in our Special Force not doing much because they swept away the M23 out of existence without much resistance...it was too easy for our SF.

In the meantime your SF are failing to defeat Quran sniffing militants.

Actually that was our SAPs Special task force(tekkies), but they go threw the same basic training as the SF but they specialize in URBAN combat and counter terrorism.

"The SAPS units included heavily armed members of the Special Task Force in combat fatigues. Convoys of SAPS vehicles could be seen cruising the streets of Maseru yesterday after escorting prime minister Tom Thabane safely back into the country."

I'm glad that this was contained without any major problems, but don't you think its funny that our Government expects us to believe that a P.M could move from his house cross a border into another country without anyone's help, while his own Army was busy searching for him?
Our President will deny everything even when he does something good.

Nigerian SBS are special forces, most global SF operations are secret. Our SBS is currently involved in war with Boko Haram, no country will post special forces ops in newspapers except it directly involves civilians who have rights.

Who will judge Nigerian SBS ? The Americans? USA special forces just failed badly few days ago trying to rescue one of your South African citizens from Islamic terrorists, the South African got killed in exchange of fire or whatever, so who has the best special forces?

South African special forces have been largely asleep in the last 20 years, no major war.

Nigerian SF have 4 year current and constant combat experience 2014, we are superior to your dormant class, se fight while you make Hollywood photos for @THIZA
.
.
Dude S.A Special Forces are constantly active who do you think got the Lesotho P.M out before anyone knew what was going on *but ofcourse being the government that they are our leaders will deny it*

And all we had to do was send in our police special forces to intimidate and entire Countries Army an Army that is better equipped and trained then your B.H

Stop talking about America, tell us how many Hostage situations have your special forces dealt with successfully

Zuma doesnt even have formal schooling but hes our President.
But to be honest the Government has done well to supply 95% of the country with electricity its just these last few days where eskom have fckup, but the big problem is that ESKOM is a monopoly so when they fck up it effects every body. And only the small towns are really receiving load shedding, the big Cities have less of it would effect the economy even more. Iam currently in Mosselbay at my Parents place, and mosselbay is not that big of a town thats way we are receiving load shedding more often here, but there will probably be no load shedding her later the month because its one of the most popular vacationing destinations in SA.
Well I don't blame the power cuts on the government remember that they've been bailing out Eskom for a while now.

The load Shedding the the Collapsed Silo at Majuba power Station, we lost around 1800MW of power so we have to make up for it while we fix the damage.

And I wouldn't entire call Zuma Useless every president so far has done its fair share of good and Bad *a lot of bad when it comes to Zuma* but when you look at it, He has made great progress in the Health Sector he tackled the issue of HIV/AiDs pretty well where as Mbeki was the Same person who denied the fact that people were dying from Aids and instead Insisted that they were dying from malnutrition and poverty/hunger.

So Zuma aint a complete D*ck.

But anyway just be Patient enough and wait for them to finish their repairs and for Medupi to come online.
