AskiaHarem: That picture is not a fair description of what the Nigerian Military is going through with Boko Haram. Because you're making it look like the Military has no idea on what they're doing and how to Bring down this Boko Haram tree, you make it look like Nigeria has been hacking away at the Boko Haram tree all over the place with no sense of direction, instead of focusing on one point and hitting it until the tree falls over. And the Broken Axe on the is a representation of all the wasted Men and equipment that were lost hacking aimlessly at this Tree. The worse part is that this Picture given more power to the other Guys argument, that with one Blow Chad did with One Axe what took Nigeria Four Axes. THE HILARIOUS AND MOST IRONIC THING ABOUT IT IS THAT IS WAS PROBABLY DRAWN BY A TRUE NIGERIAN PATRIOT AND SUPPORTER OF YOUR ARMED FORCES. 1 Like |

IGpro1: I'm not bashing my Country I'm stating the reality of things. People are in denial of the reality of our situation, we as Africans always refuse to accept the truth, we are genetically programmed to be in denial of the truth. I'm very Patriotic, on weekends my friends and I try to clean up parts of Jhb CBD one of my High school mates runs an online page to try and recruit people to help us address the issues of our country. If you hide the fact that you have a problem, them people will continue as normal and not offer their help and you will suffer in silence because you want to portray a false image of your reality. it's a Fact, Joburg is Sh*t and I hate it, but i haven't given up on it. which is why almost every Saturday we're out there cleaning or trying to recruit more people to help us build our country 5 Likes |

I don't know why South Africans decided to get involved in this shit, but since we're all here I'd like to correct My Country. Joburg has to be one of the filthiest and most DANGEROUS places i go to, it is Disgusting !!!! from the time you enter Hillbrow, then the surrounding areas of Small street and MTN tank rank and Bree Taxi Rank, thoseplaces are overflowing with hawkers who dump their sh*t on the ground, people piss in the middle of the streets, people steal manhole covers then someone will come and vandalise the water pipes and Cables. The Joburg you see on those pictures is the Rich side or Joburg, the rest of it is cover in filth and every Crime you can imagine. Joburg is Disgusting even the rich and decent sides need security guards posted at almost every corner just to keep people safe. If you're a foreign national looking to come JHB i advise you not to, that place is shit, i f*cking hate it with a passion, i see all these things everyday. Don't go to Joburg!!! 5 Likes |

EVarn: What is he correcting? The fact that I said Nigeria went through the process of product development just like Ghana is doing right now, so it's a bit childish to dismiss their ideas so early on? Henry120 needs to grow up. |

Henry240: Bruv there's literally no purpose to your arguments, My point has already been made and everyone here got it. Nigeria also made sh#tty looking vehicles it doesn't matter if it was now or 50 years ago the fact remains that you guys have also been at the stage Ghana is in right now, so i dont really see why you guys think its a joke that Ghana is also trying to build their own industry. 6 Likes |

Henry240: Look at you getting your panties in a bunch. Wasn't the vehicle I posted the first Igirigi prototype? Isn't that where they started with the Igirigi? What you posted is a tracked APC and not a wheeled APC. That ugly looking thing was praised as being the first fully designed and produced APC in Nigeria. But it's a fact that when you guys started designing your own wheeled APCs you started with a piece of Cr@p and the Ghanaian APC looks way better than the Original igirigi 4 Likes |

We all remember that this is where Nigeria started, innovation and hardwork will always prevail. A few years from now Ghana could end up designing and producing functional exo-skeletons that can be used in the field. 10 Likes 2 Shares

I KNOW THE STORY OF BANGUI HAS CAUSED A LOT OF ARGUMENTS ON MOST OF THE THREADS HERE. But in reality I think it's a good example of why it is so important to have reconn teams outside the base. S.A special forces provided an early warning for our guys, it gave ground commanders time to prepare and set up defensive position around the base and the fact that you don't need sophisticated weaponry and heavy fire power to be able to push your way out of a Brutal ambush or to hold back an enemy that more fighters and weapons than you. The commanders didn't just sit back and ignore the warnings. Special forces were the first to detect and engage the Seleka Rebels. Nigeria Obviously has good S.F units who know the land very well so I still ask myself where are they being used? Why aren't they running reconn mission in these danger areas? http://parabat.org.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/The_Battle_in_Bangui_-_The_Untold_Inside_Story.pdf From just after 16:00 on Friday 22 March until about 21:00 on Sunday 24 March, about 200 South African soldiers fought a series of running battles outside Bangui in the Central African Republic (CAR) against a well-armed Seleka force of several thousand, that has since been estimated at between 4 000 and 7 000. And they did so while the CAR Army (Forces armées centraficaines or FACA) evaporated around them and the peacekeeping forces of Multinational Force of Central Africa (FOMAC) disappeared from the scene. In the process the soldiers fired off more than 12 000 rounds of 12.7 mm machinegun ammunition1, more than 60 rockets from 107 mm rocket launchers2 and 200 bombs from 81 mm mortars3 1 Fired by the 12.7 mm calibre heavy machinegun, which has a range of 1 800 m. Can destroy light vehicles and penetrate light cover, such as a lightly-built structure. 2 Lightweight, multi-barrel launcher that fires 18.8 kg rockets to a range of 8 000 m; can be used in a direct fire role in an emergency. These are Chinese weapons originally captured in Angola and kept in service, mainly with the Special Forces. 3 The South African 81 mm M8 mortar fires various bombs to a range of 7 000 m. It is a high-angle weapon designed to engage targets behind cover. , and thousands of rounds from 7.62 mm machineguns and 5.56 mm rifles. In all, they would appear to have used some ten tons of assorted munitions. In all, the fight cost 13 killed and 27 wounded. But the force retained its cohesion throughout and was able to fall back from two separate engagement areas to its base and to hold it until their attackers gave up trying to overrun them, offering, instead, a ceasefire and disengagement. By then they had suffered as many as 800 killed, according to the estimates of officers with considerable operational experience and by some NGOs in the country. Later reports say several hundred more may have died of wounds due to a lack of medical support. It helps to put those figures in perspective: the British Army’s 3rd Parachute Battalion regards its deployment in Afghanistan’s Helmand province for six months in 2006 as a hard fought deployment. Over that time, its battle group of 1 200 soldiers, lost 15 killed and 46 wounded, and fired 479 000 rounds of ammunition, all the while supported by light tanks, artillery, attack helicopters, Hercules gunships and fighters. 4 Likes |

bidex111: Remember the Toyota War? Chadian soldiers defeated Libyan soldiers who were better armed and Libyans had tanks and APCs but got their butts kicked out of chad. Saudi Arabians with their world class gear are getting torn apart in Yemen. It all comes down to the Soldier and if he has the training and the will to fight and win . Henry is right though, they had been warned about the attack, but they seem to have done nothing about it. They had more than enough equipment and ammo to push their way out or hold their position. But anyway war is not for everyone, it takes a special kind of Man to fight one. 8 Likes |

ssaengine: Denel Is a strategic State asset. It would make more sense to Co-fund and develop Certain Weapon Systems but not to actually allow them to own a piece of Denel. Denel needs proper leadership and people who will be able to Manage funds an invest in weapon system that are guaranteed to bring in money. Nigeria can be a great market for Denel, we should be shipping 100s of Mokopa and ingwe missiles to them. I haven't heard of or seen evidence of Nigeria Nigeria using Man portable guided missiles, so we could offer them the new Man portable ingwe missile launch system. We don't need to go to Middle east to beg for funds when we already have everything we need here in Africa. 4 Likes |

So Lil Kim agreed to give up all his Nukes, I am still shocked. But I'm still worried cause if N.K and S.K were to unite, they would automatically become a super power, strong enough to resist American influence. |

*Can anyone confirm if any of this is true or not?* Cape Town, South Africa — Earlier this week the governments of South Africa and Niger finalized a military memorandum of understanding that will put South African National Defence Force troops on the ground in Niger to fill the African Union peacekeeping role of quelling the spread of Boko Haram and other terrorist groups such as the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara (ISGS) after Chad withdrew its troops from southeastern Niger. https://sofrep.com/92814/operation-juniper-shield-south-africa-defence-force-troops-deploy-niger-fill-void-left-chad/ |

Algerian1 has proven to have a lot of Knowledge about his country's procurement system, and defense systems in general, him being Student Doctor has nothing to do with it.
