What a record indeed. Soldiers would rather take slugs than face up to the Boko. It's tough, bruv. Maybe Obasanjo's son also shot himself a few months ago. The only hero Nigeria ever had was the dead pilot who wasn't honored.
Wait you're telling me that the guy wasn't honoured at all?!

Wow if they can't even show any value and respect for a soldier who died in the line of duty, from being brutally murdered. Now I'm starting to believe those rumours about them quickly burying their dead right on their battlefield to hide the real number of men KIA.

IN 2014 WE HAVE SEEN NIGERIAN TROOPS BREAKING RECORDS ON:

1. TAKING TO THEIR HEELS ON THE WAR ZONE LEAVING BEHIND GIRLS AND WOMEN TO BE MOLESTED BY BH.
2. PROTESTING DEPLOYMENTS
3. SHOOTING AT THEIR OWN COMMANDER IN MUTINY
4. COMMITING SUICIDES AND PLAYING SICK TO AVOID THE WRATH OF BH. ETC.

WHAT A RECORD!!!
LMFAO!!! Don't forget sending their women and children to go and block Barrack gates to prevent their men from being sent to go and Fight.

We can learn a thing or two from them.
Yeah true but that is not always the case, I think it would be better to develop your own indigenous training methods, and conduct training exercises with U.S Troops I don't think being completely trained by U.S troops is a good idea.

African troops require all the specialized trainings they can get. The U.S is very experienced in modern warfare, and has been engaged in more wars than any other country on this planet.

I do however disagree with African countries receiving basic trainings from countries like the U.S.
But its not like they provide advance or good training, most Armies trained by the U.S.A are completely useless in combat, Americans have a lot of experience and skills, but they don't always share all the important stuff.

Maybe I'm just too paranoid but there's nothing I hate more than seeing African troops being trained by Americans, it just feel really wrong to me.

You know honestly this whole race thing makes no difference really, people will always hate each other regardless of situation they are in, it doesn't matter whether its a "Rainbow Nation" or a country completely dominated by one race, even if there weren't any white people in S.A there would still be fudes amongst the black people, look at india after the british left there were some major tribal wars Hindu and Muslims just couldn't get along with each other, and right now in Nigeria you guys don't really have Race issues but you do have tribal and religious issues, example Boko Haram are black Nigerians killing other Nigerians, Black on Black crimes, so it doesn't matter really, if there aren't any white people or people of any other race to fight against people will always end up killing and hating each other regardless of what everyone else says

LOL grin

South Africa has NO OTHER WAR HISTORY for SANDF in 20 years, so they desperately want to claim Congo UN mission for themselves grin

Hungry and desperate South African military, hungry for a tiny piece of war achievement, not struggling to share Congo war glory with....Malawi and Tanzania.....Shame grin

You are not even struggling to share glory with the class of Ethiopia.....SANDF is flexing muscles to prove superior to....Malawi...Shame grin

Tanzanian and Malawian soldiers led in the front while South Africa was trolling behind them they died for you, they lost soldiers by facing bullets, SANDF was hidden behind safely grin

Tanzanian D-30 artillery also pounded M23 into submission.

MONUSCO you said did not fight? Ukranian Mi-35 Hinds of MONUSCO were together in joint attack with FIB SANDF Rooivalks against M23.

Indian army was raining mortar artillery on M23, other countries were flown to flank-guard and rear guard positions to avoid pincer or rear tactical maneuver attacks by M23 on FIB.

Tanzanian Brigadier and Brazilian General planned ALL the MONUSCO and FIB operations, their brains gave the battle plans to South Africa and their mouths commanded the SANDF in battle.

Hey ! Glory theives of Soweto, next time you want to take glory for a war, go there alone to fight as South African Military just like you did in C.A.R. against Seleka rebels, DON'T HIDE UNDER THE ARMPIT of United Nations multinational intervention force of over 20 countries co-operating together, get it ?

https://static.spplus.com/pictures/United-Nations-logo.jpg

The Congo DRC war involved all these countries contributing 20,000 soldiers, plus armour, artillery, and helicopters from.....

Algeria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Ghana, Guatemala, Guinea, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Jordan, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Mali, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Senegal, Serbia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United Republic of Tanzania, United States, Uruguay, Yemen and Zambia.

that article only talks about the 5.7 million not the, 9.3 mill. And it only says City Press has released documents, it doesn't quote anything from the City Press article or provides a copy of the documents, and the ONSA who approved the deal is the one from Nigeria not South Africa, the South African Government didn't approve the deal, and why did they have to transport the deal in Cash? Nigeria has recently acquired Mi-35 Attack Helicopters from Russia and all the transactions were done Electronically, So what stopped them from doing the same thing when trying to buy weapons from S.A, It doesn't make sense.

[quote author=Damex333 post=26964587]Did you read the part that says Nigerian govt have been doing business with the said company beforer now?
or you missed the part that says the said company registered but their registration only recently expired, and the company had since requested for re-registration but haven't been granted?
So how will Nigerian govt know that their registration has expired? them be witch?
and u missed that part that says something about not been able to transfer the money due to some issues with bank? and they had to bring the money in cash.
Did you read about the matter at all? [/quote
]Why would they try to smuggle 9.3mil in cash, and dude if you're drivers license expires today and you're only going to get a new one next week, that doesn't mean that you are now aloud to drive, you fall under unregistered until you get a new license, that company was still considered to be unregistered.

I think its high time the Nigerian Government reviewed its Foreign relation Policies with other countries especially South Africans . Its very embarassing hearing that common south africa is seizing nigeria's money , for what. Who the hell do dey tink dey are . I tink they are now biting more than they can chew , let's remind them that their multi national companies are very present here and if they don't return dos cash dey hav seized , MTN , DSTV , SHOP RITE , STANBIC IBTC and many more south African companies here in Nigeria will definitely pay the money back to the Nigerian Govt.
Hey Dumba*s maybe where you're from its ok to break Laws but, everywhere else its illegal to bring in such a large sum of money in cash, and second point is The company your Government was planing on buying weapons from is not even registered to sell weapons, this whole deal was illegal from the start. And you blame us for being pissed off about it? We don't break your laws we respect your rules and we do business accordingly. We respect you and then you come to our country and sh*t on our laws and expect us to smile about it?

If Nigeria had approached our Government or went to the many *Registered* legitimate Arms dealers in S.A things would have been completely different, We know the kind of problems Nigeria is facing right now and we wouldn't have blocked you from buying Arms from us if you had done this properly.

Angola is at its peak, their is money to spend unnecessarilly on what they don't need.
Cos I see no reason why they need Aircraft carrier,
Are they going to cruise it to the gulf of guinea and invade Nigeria or what,
May be it will never live the angola shores
Lol hahahaha Aircraft Carriers bring Class and they make you look stronger then you really are, well I say if you can afford it buy it, like why does Italy need an A.C they have no major external threats.

But Honestly in Africa I think A.C would be perfect if there were to be operated by a group like the A.U or better yet the Regional groups, Imagine how easy it would've been for UMA,IGAD, ECOWAS,SADC etc.. To intervene in High Conflict Areas if they had two or three A.Cs

I concur.

The next war to include them against a navy with diesel subs such as Turkey,Brazil,Sweden and South Korea will show just, how difficult it is to protect A.Cs.
Yeah very true hey, maybe that's why many Major players like Russia and China don't invest a lot on A.Cs. Lol but you know even with all those weaknesses I still wish S.A had a Couple of Aircraft Carriers though (.___.)

1. Cuba defeat who? Where and when?

2. SA soldiers killed many USSR soldiers, their special forces took a beating from SA commandos.

3. Don't mix politics to what happened on the battlefield.

A. ANC never defeated the SADF in battle but the liberation movement is in power today.

4. Seleka was badly damaged militarily when they entered Bangui,as politics influence battles it was up to politicians to decide whether the SANDF should go in and finish them up.

A. It took Seleka hours to overrun AU checkpoint, but they failed to do the same and capture Bangui. For more than 10 hours they failed to kill all 200 SA troops, which seemed to be an easy task for a force able to field more than 2000 troops

5. You love making claims but when pressed further to reveal your knowledge, you go into hiding only come back with the same old argument.
That is why sometimes I don't even bother responding to most of that guys comments he twists facts and he's almost 90% always historically incorrect when he writes about past events, he changes the subject when he get cornered.

What makes the story from a faceless and nameless "journalist" a fact? In contrast the journalists in SANDF's CAR debacle have real names and faces. Tell us which soldiers they interviewed and where the interview happened? In the North East frontlines or access controlled military barracks? Beat that!
Dude any slowpoke can go on camera and reveal their name and identity and claim sh*t that aint true, so you're telling me that since those people revealed their names what they said is true?

Fact is French troops *Legitamate Witnesses* confirmed the number of dead SANDF soldiers because the base was under their control and we couldn't fly out any bodies without them knowing. Which proves that your claims are as insufficient as the claims of Nigerian Soldiers are burying their dead on the battle field, the point of my original post was to prove that its very easy for a person to post stories without facts and pass them on as fact.

Why don't you show us 50 dead SANDF Soldiers BEAT THAT!!!
PoliticsRe: Why Africans Hate Nigerians So Much by Centrifude(m): 9:51pm On Oct 05, 2014
I have nothing against Nigerians which is one of the reason I'm on this Forum.

BUT one of the main things I've noticed that people really hate about Nigerians is that they go to other countries to seek asylum or good job opportunities, and if you go to Home Affairs in Joburg you'll find that sometimes there are dozens of Nigerians lining up trying to get work permit or IDs, and sometimes those guys even fight each other for a spot in the line, some even go as far as paying women to Marry them so that they can get Citizenship, and than these same Nigerian go all out to tell people in that country about how great and better Nigeria is.
Which is what most people hate, they don't understand that if your country is so great than why do you go all out to live in theirs yet you brag about how great Nigeria is, if your country was so great you wouldn't feel the need to risk it all or fight each other in line just to get a work permit, this is why most Africans consider Nigerians to be "liars", "Fakes" & "wannabes"
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Centrifude(m): 9:34pm On Oct 05, 2014
NaijaPikinGidi:
The question for you is: what is your point? Copied and pasted a link with a SaharaReporters story by a nameless reporter? Where in that link does it mention number of NA troop colleagues that have died? In a day's battle SANDF lost close to 50 men according to eyewitness reports ... now do the ratio Maths with about 400 men in more 2years of insurgent confrontation.
My point is that two can play the game of claiming that one is hiding the death statistics of their soldiers, because you guys are claiming that we lost 50 soldiers when the only evidence you have are just so called eye witnesses whom being a journalist who wasn't even there when the battle happened and a commander and his troops who earlier admitted to getting their butts kicked, so I can also claim that eyewitnesses being your own soldiers saw their own comrades being buried in shallow grave on the battle fields because an article says so.

Yes I know the article doesn't mention any numbers, but the fact that soldiers are claiming that dead troops are hastily buried after being killed makes the 400 soldiers KIA, sound very suspicious and inaccurate and that it could be more than that.
