See an example of Censorship that killed a lot of people just because they wanted to remove trump.
YouTube, Twitter, Facebook barred discussion on HCQ Chloroquine as treatment of Covid, but now that trump Is gone, they have started back tracking.

Terrible people, the whole leftist global media enterprise. They're so good at playing White Knight with their black hearts.

Whichever way the axe falls now, it's gonna be at a massive cost to the masses of the world. Mostly, it might end UN and its cronies gain more State power over free speech while countries like China, North Korea etc are busy giving us the middle finger and the gullible masses too are brainwashed to help bring down pro-privacy based projects like Telegram etc.

The way-forward now will be open-source and blockchain based messaging and social media projects. Those will be a bit harder for Govt to police. But, the fact is that Jack, Mark and the other nerdy knuckleheads haven't done well for free speech in the big scheme eventually.

MacMkboy:

True @bolded. I had a friend whom I used to chat with a long time ago. She deleted her old account and left Facebook. If I search for her, I can't find her. Two years ago, I downloaded a very old version of Facebook messenger and to my surprise, I saw all the old messages between us.
That Mark's a pervy egotist. And it's written all over his apps and corporate culture. To me, the entire company should be taken apart with Mark as far away from its daily runnings and its policy formulation as possible. But how possible will that be with his close ties to the American Intelligence Community?
The US cries foul at every turn and everyone for attempting to replicate the ills they're best at perpetrating.
With the way Facebook and Whatsapp are going, won't they become instruments of international and corporate espionage very soon?

sammysmiles:
And when you post anything against their community acceptance, they will say fact checkers have considered this post invalid and hence blocked.... Who are this fact checkers? How come they only block a certain set of people? Imagine more than 23 people died in Norway after taking the covid-19 vaccine.... Yet anyone that post it will be blocked.... Some aged people developed paralysis after taking the vaccine, yet you post it on social media, they block you... Imagine the Nonsense..
They have an agenda. The average person on the street works in the favor being largely ignorant of how things work behind the scenes.

LeeSantos:
PLEASE BEFORE YOU QUOTE ME.
ANSWER THIS QUESTION
WHY WAS THE GUY ALMOST BEATEN TO DEATH?
for evrybody or almost everyone who had encountered this kind of situation. there was a "why"

why did the soldier slap you?
1. Becus he asked me why I was looking at him and I answer what did you say
2. at the beer parlour he was drunk, I passed in front of the tv, I received a slap
3. I told him his shoe was beautiful, he kicked me.

now if you were ask why in this 3 examples a working brain can deduct why the incidence had occurred.

SO NOW. WHY WAS THIS GUYS NEARLY BEATEN TO DEATH
abeg we no fit talk for military Mata again. e don tire me.
but there's this feeling in me that doesn't believe the guy's story. how would they just attack you for no just cause, all bcus u just asked if the centre won't show the soccer match?
he asked one of he guys seated and the next thing is he kicked you on the check for asking if they won't show the game?. hmmm, there's something under the cooking spoon that hasn't been checked, if not the oil on top would have poured down.

Let's not jump into conclusion my fellow elders. let wait for the gods to speak to ezemo

Modified*
some persons have quoted me. and I need to make us reason this.
someone said it cus similar thing hasn't happened to me. Yes I have never in my life face security personnel's brutality. but this guy's story is pitiful and at the same time not adding up.

if he had said, "He thinks the reason for their attack was he guess he never greeted them before asking his question" it would have been understandable or some he was mistaken for someone else or he was not supposed to wear his shoe inside the centre or probably other reason. even if it a silly excuse it's welcome. so we can no pin why he was brutalise. or if those personnel had wanted to be alone in the viewing centre, cus he said the place was scanty. then there would have been someone at the door to turn him back.

and how was his NYSC cert seen to be seized. was he taking his cert everywhere he went cus I'm confused. they must know his housed to seize his cert. or the matter started from the camp ground, and they were just finding what and how to get hold of him.

he was later also attacked at the hospital. haba which mentality ill militey personnel will still go to the victims hospital bed to still want to kill him if something had not transpired before the football centre event.

Aside that, I was locked in their own cell (guardroom) for more than two days, while I was still on treatment, they took me away from the hospital, was nearly killed, even at their base.
No food, no medical care, infact cold and mosquitos dealt with me to the extent I felt I was going to die, despite that they still gave me cutlass to cut grasses and gave me broom to sweep their compound. and fetch water.
The parents of the Airforce guys got involved and together with our traditional rulers pleaded with our family to settle amicably without taking the case to court.

All this for asking a mere question. no na, no n this isn't adding up.

For every conflict, there is always motive and what transpired it.

this is a one sided story. so we can't just conclude yet

Modified 2.
why would you say I am saying all like I'm not a Nigerian. I am a Nigerian even if I am not proud to be at the moment.

few years ago on my way back to school ( Lag to Edo) the bus I boarded was instantly stopped on the express way. I didn't even know was was happing I was sitting at the back, all I felt was a sudden push of the bus brakes. I lifted my face up to see through the windshield and behold a dark green and tilted glass Toyota Camry had double crossed us.
we were still inside the bus trying to figure out what next was going to happen. when a soldier stepped out of the driver set of the Carly, now heading toward our bus. the next thing was evrybody come down in the middle of a running expressway. at first nobody wanted to come down, we were just shouting story sir. before we knew it 4 of his colleagues had joined and we were still begging. he got furious and went into his car and brought out a dager. I didn't even know how I got out from the back out of the bus, I just found myself outside on the road. this time he was ready to inflict damage on the driver when his colleagues started pleading mad some old women in our bus.

so what am I trying to say here. with my story a working brain should know that something had lead to this incident. you can't judge from one person side of the story.

in my own case the driver had earlier at a junction insulted a man who is the friend of the soldier for blocking the road while talking to this same soldier( like the normal way Nigeria drivers stops on a tight road to greet).

so something much have happened in this guys case. a mentally ill soldier cannot be bold enough to still visit his victim in his hospital to kill him. even if he's high on something.

You said all the above just to justify the need for the average Nigerian to be treated with scorn and unwarranted brutality by the same soldiers their taxes fund.

That is some chronic level of slave mentality thinking right there.

Ask yourself why you think Nigerian masses shouldn't deserve better. You're all so used to being crapped on at home but when you're let out of your cages at home and you get to say SA, Ghana etc, you suddenly wanna be treated right but what do you encourage back at home?

We don't see soldiers wandering out and about in our neighborhoods in Canada here anyhow. Why are Nigerian soldiers always roaming around civilian environments and reacting aggressively to them? Aren't they supposed to move around on Entry/Exit Passes or something? All these your agberos and uniformed killers you're making excuses for and the old retired foolish soldiers you all voted to rule you is partly why you're all crying about Nigeria failing and you're still not getting it, pity.

You deserve better, Nigerian youths better wake up and demand more!

Dagger111:
It was 2007 when we were in yoruba class in SS3. The goons all have their seats at the back including myself. We were 5 close pal and criminal in crime then. So one of us brought porn CD to sch, the CD was inside his bag and we have been looking the cover captioned with big black long dick and boobs. So, aunty Yoruba noticed we were looking at something under the desk and she ordered the 5 of us to stand up, we stood up and she requested to see our yoruba note, 4 among us immediately showed her our note and the last person couldn't, he was the white fowl among us. She said; you, where is your note, the white fowl said it is inside his bag. I don't knw if this idiot deliberately wanted to put us all in trouble, knowing full well that the porn is in his possession (inside his bag). Then, the yoruba teacher collected his bag, the first thing she saw was the porn cover, she threw the bag on the floor and shouted, "Jesus Christ". She then matched the 5 of us to the principal's office immediately. When we got there, the principal was like, "Aunty, what have they done?" The teacher brought out the porn cover and showed it to the principal, he screamed, Kileeleyi (What's this one) as he grabbed his dick as if it was his dick's picture on the same cover page. He ordered the though male teachers to join him in flogging us and they surrounded us as if we stole money from Central Bank. We were flogged right and centered and we all acted as if the cane doesn't pain. Last last, they got tired and let us go.

Hahahahahaha, they skinned your asses. cheesy grin

Escaped that in Js3 back in Nig. It was a couple of Playboy Mags.

My and my G's had our code back then. If you get caught, don't mention my name; no snitches, strictly OG's!

Last time I got to Principal's office was Pry School if you could call it that for busting one boy's head. We were to fight and his neighborhood kids wanted to join in and gang up on me and make it a beatdown So i simply switched up, grabbed my lunch bag with the metal spoon still in it, and started whacking them with it. He got hit on the head, bled like a weak goat but I got rushed to the HM's office, they rang the emergency bell, mans got canes and whacked me till his old shoulders tired. Of course, I shouted and thrashed around like I was sorry, the real deal was that I was trying to wriggle out of them getting me to bring my folks over because Pops and mom would've killed me worse than anything the school could've done to me. undecided
I was to bring them but I never did, just made a deal with my older siblings, worse crooks than i was then, absconded from thursday over the weekend. By Monday some other unfortunate dudes had committed enough ruckus for the HM to forget about me. grin grin

Interestingly enough, I never made it to the Principal's office for any bad thing i did in sec. schl because I'd learnt to pick my goons well and code my moves even better. The only side they all ever saw was JETS flyboy, the Press Club Editor, School Prefect side of me. Truthfully enough though, I cooled off in SS2. Just outgrew some shytes and moved on.

I dont know why Nigerians like to reinforce incompetence. Paying people to hype failure of a CG. This will be the height if disservice to the corps if this is done. The wickedness, suffering during this mans tenure is innumerable. Common Identification card, d corps cant provide. Writing exams multiple times without promotion, using outdated weapons, the list is endless. We Nigerians are truly our problem. One brown envelope and people will sing your praises . Tomorrow they will ask stupid questions like how did we get here? They will pay the supreme price for bringing failure

If AlexReports wasn't more of a sleazy piece of sh!t than 10 Abdulrahman Gana's put together, why would he go ahead with campaigning for that wicked sod of a Nigerian garbage that the Civil Defenders got stuck with.
Right from inception the man was an embodiment of every worst act of corruption and malfeasance against the Corps and the men under him. You would think someone put him there with a direct mandate for him to wreck the place and just needlessly punish the personnel who'd always been writing petitions up and down but the odds had always been against them.
For one, men and officers are not allowed to protest because they're bound by a wrongly applied NDA clause which stages them for mutiny if they try such. Two, quite a few of the offices through and to which such petitions would travel are often places that the CG frequents to ply them with funds looted from staff welfare so that they can look the other way. Hence, they myriad petitions against him always get quashed.
But even as he lacked the vision, innovation and charisma of the former CG, he could still have settled down to running that former man's blueprints and winning template. Instead, he busied with all manner of misdemeanors. It was like everything was running aground under him. Servicing a couple of jobs with them before exiting Nig. and getting paid was crazy. Everything was just turbulent and crooked and sick. Needing to frequent their Abuja Airport Rd National Academy, I was surprised to see the weight of personal bitterness, unfulfillment, uncertainty, confusion and corporate despair the personnel labored under to discharge their duties. And following Nig. news, I'm still surprised in fact, not to hear of Defenders committing more atrocities than the Police. That seems really commendable considering the fact that their management starting from the CG, his DCG's and ACG's are brainless, greedy old men who were only always busy looting and spending more time trying to perpetuate themselves in power.
Painment and complaints no dey finish for that their office. If not missing arrears, it would be promotions rightly earned but delayed, denied or reassigned.
They said they were doing Replacement Exercise. Can you imagine they offered slot to coz for a neat N1.2m? Our boy opted to add the money up to his Monash Uni. MSC bid and jeje exit Naija. I believe it was decision he ever made because we later heard from contacts back home that many who actually did pay still never got slots or appointment letters. tongue
I saw a lot of bullshit out there because some of the staff who assisted in our tasks did show me enough internal memos, documents and gist being circulated amongst them on their unofficial chat apps as staff often do despite being severally warned officially to desist from doing such. This was LIVE and it read like scandal after scandal but who do you think listens to the poor masses in Naija? Do they really have a voice?
What about that useless man's several invitations to the ICPC or the short-payment of the promoted personnel's 2014 Promotion Arrears? At least we were still servicing their Sauka Academy campus when that issue was still hot then. Level 7 Inspectors crossing to Level 8, the one-star level, were expecting nothing less than a million. The new Buhari Administration gave directives that all arrears being owed should be disbursed directly into all expecting officers accounts. NSCDC Accounts & Finance delayed, submitted falsified /loaded Payroll Information to extract more funds to fictitious accounts, that failed with the Kemi Adeosun led Min. of Finance eagle-eyes Audit functions, next thing was to lobby severally through the then Interior Minister Abdulrahaman Danbazau till NSCDC management secured the funds to disburse at its won discretion upon which the poor personnel's got peanuts, the money was butchered severally.
I'm sure if I start calling those guys now they'd still have more to say because that their CG guy, to me, is so notoriously evil that he's like a leopard that can never change its spot, a stark raving mad kleptomaniac, a thief and a skunk, like hell, they're still owing me. I forfeited the funds, stupid id1ots. Nigeria needs to borrow a few lessons from the demands of the #EndSARS Protests and stop putting frustrated armed men on the streets as military personnel. And one key way to do that is to ensure that they're not being made victims of the terrible workplace systems and evil bosses. When the chips are down, these frustrated officers would most likely take it out on innocent civilians, se fini. undecided

And AlexReports doing the devil's work for this CG, he's just a sign of everything wrong with Nigeria now. There's always gonna be that one guy ready to sell out the interests of the entire country or his village for a few personal crumbs, phucking judases!

I got your point bro.

https://thenationonlineng.net/fayemi-seeks-problem-solving-curriculum-for-varsities/

I think some other minds are seeing the further damage this generation of rulers are doing to the education sector by underrating it and misdirecting emphasis from it. The approaches need to be re-envisioned with a view to actually not only seeding young minds with ideas but also training them to independently see, query, think, research and invent.
It's so sad that the average Nigerian student would've so so much to grapple with now from his environmental socioeconomics alone minus the dinghy dirt-poor study and living conditions often the norm in public institutions. Education needs to be subsidized on all fronts.

Curriculums need to be redesigned to get scholars invested in the thrill of actually doing something new and their potentials for being solution-providers to contemporary problems and pioneers to solving tomorrows challenges today.

I don't know how deep the education rabbit-hole goes in Nig. today but I do know a whole lotta lip-service is being paid to education issues by the government. By now, higher numbers of MSC applicants here shouldn't have had to be put through the stressful indignity of IELTS and co. if the Govt, NUC etc had put some more muscle into the quality of degrees being awarded and took broad policy stands to place quality assurances on its products at its bilateral relations forums with other nations, but no, they're always missing in action when it comes to that. Meanwhile the British Education Council etc are in Nigeria raking in billions annually from Nigeria's intending international students while posturing as superheroes for putting in a few millions in here and there, it's ridiculous.

If only those in authority would pay a little more attention for its growing generation, educational tourism could be a viable source of forex. It's no joke that folks leave Nig., come over here and seem to become so empowered at being the best versions of themselves within a short while, it's no surprise really because the enabling environment's been provided even for you to turn your life around, get into another career line at midlife etc if you have the drive and aptitude for it.
I only pray some Govt would come along and do that for Nigeria because so much of Nigeria's future would depend on it in the coming decades. You don't wanna import rice but almost 95% of your innovation is imported, then electronics etc, saving cents to lose dollars, haha, the irony. undecided

This seems more possible where the emphasis is dumping info on students to "cram" and regurgitate for the sole purpose of passing exams and gathering shitty certs rather than actual capacity building geared at facilitating intellectual development and equipping students for problem solving in real world, industry and business place scenarios.

Prince Edward Island Canada, largely white, strongly Christian Baptist but with tenacious appreciation of diversity and an awakening fascination with multiculturalism, it's been sublime wearing off almost to the boringly plaid. Everyone largely buggers off minding their business till you tick them off and still get lightly brushed off.
Racism if at all, gets nervously passed across in well-couched in awkward humor or deference.

Being largely surrounded by water, relaxation by way of tourism revolves around more waterside attractions for me though its friggin' cold here, single digit heading to zero for a bit now infact. embarassed

You get peeps here who largely don't know and couldn't give a flippin crap where you're from until you start chilling together and you tell them experiences and realities from here and they start acting like you're from a real-life wakanda or something. And that's a real blessing considering that the stench of Nigeria's shitty rep hasn't preceded one here as with other places. And thank God say boys neva reach here to begin dey show dem pepper and you'd hardly hear say anyone be yahoo-yahoo victim. I do thanksgiving for that everyday that I'm not getting heavily stereotyped and hanged socially for some other id1ots crimes.

Covid-19 Work-From-Home adjustments have introduced some interestingly new dynamics into life here in one being more house-bound than before.

One other interesting thing's all the Band-8 IELTS wahala left me with a somewhat anticlimatic aftertaste because I've only been using structured English at work, social interactions have been quite normal with commonplace lingo that shouldn't have given any intending immigrant any bothers in wondering whether they'd fit in well or not. If you won't mind the cold but are seriously passionate about better choices and options for your future, come over.

Another thing I've noticed that's ticked me off about some fellow Africans here is the alice n wonderland mentality they carry which makes them erroneously assume that here is already so ok that the next best thing we should henceforth engage ourselves with is settle somewhere on the rat-race ladder, start earning, earning, buying stuff to fit in and repeat that cycle endlessly enough to go back to Naija and build a couple of houses and be landlord, pftt. tongue

I see myself making valuable contributions to their way of life especially starting from the presently badly hit tourism industry where I function here in the nearest future. Africa currently holds the keys to their lack of mysteries and that is a big market waiting to be tapped into.

By and large, life here's a hundred times better than staying back in Nigeria practically battling against Govt's negative policies heating up everywhere socioeconomically and diminishing your best entrepreneurial efforts while paid lackeys like that Lai Mohammed still has the effrontery to spin lies to the contrary. grin

Rugaria:
They're just interested in occupying every position in sight. Most of them only study Arabic in school. Very soon graduates of Arabic studies will be employed as doctors. Makes me remember a particular local government where i served in Kano state. A male nurse there was conducting some 'operations' before the youth corper-doctor was posted there! You need to see this to believe it! Youth service over, the local people were so happy with the young doctor they asked the local government chairman to retain him. Our "doctor-nurse" became very obstinate afterwards. Threatening to deal with the corper if he refused to go back home. To cut a long story short, the youth corper vacated the place for him to continue with his enermous 'butchering'...

Best step lightly

If you call this out right now, your greatest critics will be your fellow Southerners all blind but forming I-Too-Know and arguing sh!t they can't comprehend, dunno why they're cursed like that.

Nepotism and Quota system privileges ensures the nominal in the northern get better chances at leadership than the best and brightest of the South.

It's the bloody phools and useful-id1ots defending them that should know how meaninglessly cheap their lives have become with their blind support of an inept, corrupt and absentee govt as being the best for Nigeria right now.

Politics / Re: Solar Hybrid Mini-Grid: REA Electrifies Ogun State Community After 200 Years by chachanga: 3:34pm On Nov 30, 2020
obama30:

Nigerian government will never stop amazing people; you celebrate or commission 100KW of electricity.

100KW electricity can only be use by 20 houses that consume 5KW hour or by 10 houses that consume 10KW house.

5KW if they have 1 fridge that start with 2Kw and run on 200W, 1 electric kettle that run on 1.2KW, rice cooker 800w, TV and fan with bulb’s have to share remaining 1KW.

If for 10 houses that means houses with 1 fridge that start with 2Kw and run on 200W, 1 electric kettle that run on 1.2KW, rice cooker 800w, 1 deep or standing freezer that start with 3KW, 1 and half horse power splint unity air-conditions 3.5KW, TV and fan with bulb’s have to share remaining.

But here they set this 100KW solar electricity for a community with not less than 100 houses with 3 rooms in each house, plus semi industries such as garri companies and others.

And this is what a government can provide for a community with millions if not billion naira, 100KW is not enough for some house with enough electrical gadgets how much more a community.

That’s why we always hear power grid of here and there because the power company don’t estimate if what they supply can be enough or not, and people don’t care to know how much supply that come to their district all they know is that there’s light. And as soon the transformer carries above rated load it will break off.

The same will happens to this solar as soon it carried over load and the batteries discharge 85% of it power it will trip off until it recharge full again and ready to supply.

By the time everyone in and around this community connect up to 80 to hundred house to share 100KW what do you think that will happens? It will lead to battery damage whether is life4pon or lithium, lithium ion batteries. Nigerian government enjoy half baked project to siphon money.

Anyway with 150% of money use to build this 100KW solar to this community, I can use 150% of the money to provide 2MW of 24/7 electricity to the community for 25 years guarantee of stable light and return back in next 25 years to service it for another 25 years stable light supply.

This 2MW will serve 200 houses with 10KW per house or 400 houses with 5KW per house, no need to connect more than numbers of this house unless there’s increase in the MW. You don’t just connect light because there’s wire with current without knowing budget load of that district.

With our clean energy power plant you will enjoy your 24/7 light, and production companies, hotels, churches and residential home can be at peace knowing they are not spending penny on gas. Serve better than solar because it carries heavy duty electrical appliances.

They know what they're doing. It will soon go moribund. And they will re-award another four or five contracts for its repairs, upgrades etc.

Biodun556:

Let's appreciate good things. The protect is located in a village that means it is trial or test run that may go round and improved upon if successful.

Give it a rest.
How you see governance says a lot about whether you know your rights or not.
Even as a pilot test, it is doomed to fail otherwise the grid should've been limited to not more than the 20-25 houses it can optimally serve. Max, let's say 50 because such a community is not expected to have a plethora of electrical gadgets and advanced user consumption rates. But still, why provide something that'll serve that little and yoke it to so many?
because it's a win: win for the state govt, the contractors, the REA agency and their other cronies come repairs, overhaul and upgrade time.

Earthstorms:
There is nothing to celebrate here if we look critically at the issues at stake.

This is a federal project, meaning it has the backing of the federal government. Something that needs to be pointed out is that Buhari has not prioritised the building of gas fired power plants in the past 5 years that he has been president.

Gas power plants are what we have that can cheaply provide enough power at affordable costs to meet the energy needs of the country.

Can the people in this community now set up welding workshops or hair dressing saloons based on the electricity they now have? What is the essence of a project that can not spur much needed development and economic activities?

These offgrid solar minigrids are waste of resources.

The battery systems in the picture are based on lead acid batteries, in less than 3 years time those batteries will need to be replaced and by then no one will be interested in providing the funds for the replacement and the people will be back in darkness.

Also the number of solar panels in the picture is inadequate to charge a 100kw system. So the system can not provide 100kw continuously.

The lead acid batteries will be damaged if that system is run beyond 25kw continuously from what I can see in the picture. I will give that system 1 year to pack up due to insufficient float charging of the batteries. The solar panels numbers need to be increased.

The question is why is Buhari not keen on building big gas powered electricity generation plants.

Obasanjo started many power plants under the NIPP scheme, Jonathan completed many of them, the northerners were complaining that the NIPP power plants were in the south where the gas supply is and the projects should be stopped. Buhari has simply stopped further development of the NIPP projects just like the northerners were asking for, why are we cutting out noses to spite our faces?

Leave these naive kindergartens hailing nonsense here, they can't see past their noses and slave-mentality.

Rolling out the drums to thank FG for this crap!
