Please these are not pictures i took. These are pictures i collected online. Credit goes to the various sites i got them from. The school site wasn't loading on my phone browser so i couldn't get pictures from there. Enjoy please. I am happy this thread has finally made the front page and I thank the moderators sincerely. I must state that ABU looks even more beautiful than in the pictures with new structures springing up every year. There's another kind of beauty beyond these pictures I love about ABU. The school really reflects the diversity of the Nigerian people in both the student and staff bodies. It's a school where you have a sense of belonging no matter your state or even local government of origin. Since I left the SouthWest for here, I have learnt so much about the North, about Nigeria as a whole, and also about myself. I hope NYSC throws me east of the Niger when the time comes so i discover more beauty in this country. I know the comparisons with OAU are inevitable. I choose ABU, you may choose OAU, doesn't really matter. What does is that they both deserve to be called beautiful. |
If the Gambian authorities didn't want a foreigner to be CJ then why did a Ghanaian replace him? This man was simply corrupt. Final! |
I remember when all Medview used to do was Hajj. They're different from Bellview. |
There's a similar association in Ghana, you can contact them for tips. But you must be careful not to become ready tools in the hands of the political opposition. |
So people really use these GOtv and Startimes? If i can't Afford DSTV then it's FTA o. I'll even get stuff as good as what is offered on these two for free. |
50calibre: This is not an issue of whether or not he is worth £100M, it is given the current circumstances is he worth such amount of money? And my answer isLoooooooool! U go fear English na. |
solomon111: The quality of that stadium is better than that of most african countries except maybe southafrica.Haba d pitch is synthetic now. Anyways, datz my beloved Kwara utd. I remember d days of Nsofor, Akabueze, and Oke?miri. |
instinctg: Kaduna ke! Is dat place safe ? Abeg make dis guy relocate his family oYou are a fo.ol. Which state are you in sef? Let us know. Maybe it's even Rivers or Lagos where people are lynched regularly. |
dannie04: It's very unfair to take some random pictures to compare cities. It's more like the pictures used by foreign media when talking about Nigeria. I'm not happy with the state of unplanned cities in Nigeria butBut how do u know for example that Abuja is better than Asmara(Eritrea)? Is it not based on what u see in the same "foreign media"? All African cities have beautiful and ugly parts although proportions of those parts may differ. |
sexkillzisagoat: What if the cultists are northerners? Are u a learner? Malo no dey do cultism abeg. |
coogar: there are only 2 universities in nigeria, OAU and the others as one. a first class student in UNILORIN, UNILAG, OOU would be lucky to come out with a second class lower in OAU.Architecture? I always laugh when people say this. Have u ever been to ABU? |
BrutusOj: And they keep producing graduates who doesn't knw d difrence btween HIS and IS, HAS and AS..congrats anywaySame way u have a problem with 'doesn't' and 'don't'. |
Walexz02: If I hear u wellBut they can also lynch workers in the SW just because people shouted "ole!". |
Ola Johnson: Great Ife rules. We made: E. A. Adeboye, Fidelis Oyakhilome, Ama Pepple, Bisade Ologunde, Itse Sagay, Femi Falana, Abike Dabiri, O. C. J. Okocha, Rotimi Akeredolu, Ernest Ndukwe, Sam Ohuabunwa, Jimi Agbaje, Fred Agbaje, Segun Mimiko, Femi Mimiko, Victor Oladokun (Turning Point), Femi Ojudu, Olorunimbe Mamora, etc. It's no secret that ABU rules in ALUMNI. |
seedord247: GO TO SOUTH AFRICA AND SEE WHAT THEY CALL UNIVERSITY..We use projectors in my Faculty in ABU o. When people mention all these glorified secondary schools in the south apart from UI and maybe UNILAG, they usually forget there's a giant in the north that no nigerian school can measure up to in terms of magnitude of infrastructure. I mean which school in Nigeria is better equipped in all areas than ABU? I attended Unilorin before leaving for ABU and i've been to OAU so i know what I'm talking about. |
But wait o. What if he was thanking God for allowing him to narrowly miss death?? |
in as much as i believe there are good northerners, majority are Boko sympathizers who sees this insurgence as a tool against their perceived enemy. just last week that police paraded suspected Boko Haram members arrested in Lagos,we saw one of our former security guard among them.Which means we had spent over a year with a potential Boko haramite right here in the heart of Lagos.
Thank God u said "suspected". Your gateman may have been wrongly arrested which happens all the time in this country. |
miqos02: em em em..... undecided. na english manno he's not |
demmy55: The rougheye rock fich looks like the fish in Piranha.did u enter my mind? |
My gf wasn't too happy, so i did this to change her mood. Used a Galaxy pocket 2mp cam and edited with PicsArt. Didn't arrange d background tho. Hope they aren't toooooo bad? |
All these times people are mentioning. I know i took a train from Ilorin to Offa and it took 45mins. The same distance takes 1hr or longer by road now because of the poor state of the road and heavy traffic when entering Offa. Besides, it was very comfy and my heart wasn't in my mouth throughout d way it is when I'm travelling by road. The long time it takes from Kano to Lagos may be because they make stops at many terminals to load passengers and not necessarily cuz the trains are slower. |
Vonwolf: Goosh! What a dumb question. The stupidity levels on Nairaland these days amaze me. |
KwoiZabo: when has rivers state moved to the north? Are you a learnerU didn't get the real meaning. |
collynzo2: Is there any state in Nigeria where jungle justice doesn't happen? ALUU 4 everytime as if it only happens in Rivers. Now u see how it feels like to be at the end of the stick? When you people were bashing the north, u didn't know o. |
vivacious vivi: Zoology (say what?!), Veterinary medicine (who get time for pets like that?) , Linguistics ( I laugh in Korean!Vet docs get jobs with international orgs. Besides, graduates are not that many cuz few schools run it |
