yinka2011: I've been using iPhone for a while and before this I was using blackberry. But recently I saw my friends Nokia lumia 920 and I thought it was wonderful. Nokia have thousands of apps now and lumia's are simply amazing. It's windows so I can use excel word PowerPoint on the go.

Even the lumia 520 is simply amazing given its price.

And they recently drove a truck over a lumia and the phone did not even scratch.
Yeah, true. But the Lumia fones are expensive. U can get far better value for money with other brands. Besides, android still leads in app variety.

Young po413: Nokia will still be nokia,no matter what, strong and reliable with good battery backup.
Tecno has really tried alot,so both companies are doing a good job, instead let's team up and condemn blackberry.
Make Nokia do Android now, then u can come and show me how long the battery will last.

AjanleKoko: Actually that's not helpful. undecided
There's not much information on the Goal.com Nigeria site. FC Barcelona has a website of their own, plus thousands of blogs providing info. You can even get a lot of financial info on European football on Swiss Ramble. Is there any kind of published and publicly-available financial information relating to football clubs in Nigeria?
And u think Nigerian clubs dont have websites?? Ur ignorance is deeper than i thought. Use google before typing pls.
This sponsorship money is too small. This money is meant to be for one club. This is like selling a person's birthright for a porridge of yam. One player in Europe cost over $12million and a whole league is priced at this peanuts for 3 years. Its absurd. Share the sponsorship among companies and raise atleast N10b annully from sponshorship rights so clubs can get at least N200million and above each for development and participation and I bet you Nigerian league will be better than premier league and la liga
See as u dey talk as if say na their birthright to collect d money. Glo just dey dash dem sef. I mean Glo is not even getting any exposure for dat cash. That money could have created powerful commercials and bought unlimited airtime on our airwaves. Afterall, MTN paid Saka only NGN20million. It's either they are just being patriotic or there are some perks that come with this thing like tax holidays or something. I'll find out sha.

Most of those saying Lagos have never really stayed in Abuja. Whether you like it or not, Yorubas still dominate Lagos. No single ethnic group dominates Abj.

If a whole capital city depends on a school for social life, then it's definitely not all that. Kd all the way.

Chelcy10: I wont criticise jos cos av never been 2 jos b4, but I can tel u dat Kaduna is a beter place 2 live dan jos. I am an Igbo guy, but am born and brot up in kaduna and dats where my family is based. One tin about Kaduna is dat as a Xristian, u dnt live anywhere u wish cos of being atakd in time of conflicts. Setlement in Kaduna is a religious divided tin, xristians ocupy d southern parts places like kakuri, television, sabo, romi, u/sunday, g/gora and some sububs around abuja xpresway. Transportation in kaduna is one of d easiest and cheapest av seen, buses, taxis, train etc. Good social life, Nigerias BEST sporting town, good hotel service, xcelent schls (primary, secondary and tertiary) good security with almost evry 3km u drive, dia is a barack. Sweet weather condition, and kaduna is a place where all tribes in Nigeria can be seen in dia larg population.
Yeah, true. Kaduna is really cosmopolitan - a typical melting pot. People just feed on stuff they see on Channels and all those lazy tv channels. Even hausa dominated Zaria where i school has so many southerners( U dare not even insult anyone with Yoruba, Idoma, Igbo etc cuz u dont know who's who). There's a reason ABU has every state and LGA well represented by staff and students.
I've only passed through Jos, so i cant really compare but it looked far less busy than Kaduna. So if you are coming for business, Kaduna seems a better place, plus you'll get all the fun you want in places like Sabo, Kakuri and Television.
Bros good to know Francis Akoto owns ghanaweb, but is he still living in Finland till date? He is a ghanaian, living in Finland, then using holland address? Many things dont add up but its okay. Since you have ghanaweb why cant you guys move over there and leave Nairaland alone? What do you guys gain from coming to a Nigerian site to attack Nigerians?

You call A&C a mall? I am not talking about what they plan to do in the future, bc I myself I plan to be a billionaire before I will die. I am talking about what they PRESENTLY have in East Legon. By any standard, AC is not a mall. In Nigeria everyday supermarket has shops and supermarkets scattered all over Nigerian cities/states and each of their shop is bigger than the A&C you referring to. For your info, Ghana has only 1 mall, the ACCRA MALL. Melcom is owned by Indians where they sell cheap china and India products.

I am very impressed to know Antrak has up to 4 planes. I used that airline to attend a traditional wedding in Kumasi and believe me I did not open my eyes till we landed in Kumasi, bc the plane was so small and jerking like it was going to crash. I dont know how a Antrak is better than Dana or Sosoloso maybe you need to tell us? Dana is not even a Nigerian company to start with. Or maybe bc their plane crashed? If that is the case, Antrak is better than AirFrance as well bc AirFrance plane crashed in Brazil?

As for unibank and prudential they are irrelevant in Ghana and will be acquired soon by bigger banks. First bank just bought ICB bank last week. I commend the owner of UT bank, that guy has vision. The rate that bank is rolling out branches and services is amazing while the other Ghana banks are going into extinction.

Trying to defend the laziness and backwardness of your people is sheer ignorance on your part. Are you not concerned that foreign banks control over 90% of Ghanaian banking sector?

Are you not concerned and ashamed that in your aviation sector, foreign airlines, including Nigerian airlines control 100% of the international route?

Lets assume airline is too expensive for Ghanians to run, what about ground transportation? What stops you from buying a small bus to start ferrying Ghanaians to Lagos or Ivory Coast on basis basis? I know at least 4 Yoruber men that ply that Lagos-Accra route with old Volvo Wagoon. You cannot find a Ghanian that thinks outside the box, rather you idly about and when you see Nigerians that are living large you start calling them names.

Same thing is applicable to the retain businesses. It is after the foreigners have develop[ed the sector that you will one day open your eyes and start closing peoples shops. If you are not dumb and lazy how did foreigners take over the retail business in the first place. I saw the way your government officials were closing Nigeria/Chinese owned shops last year. Where were Ghanians when these foreigners were opening these shops? Were you sleeping before?
I'm half-ghanaian but this is so straight to the point. I just wonder how ghanaians fail to see this when everyone else can.

mankand: Guy you must be a learner. India also have good healthcare facilities. Only corruption as Nigeria is killing the country. They provide quality healthcare system. Didn't you know some drugs you take are coming from Indiahuh
Most drugs actually. If not for Indian pharmaceutical companies, the giant Western multi-national pharmaceutical companies would have killed lots of people in the developing world with exorbitant prices for the same drugs.
But seriously, when you've got real money like these politicians have, you go to the West for medicare.

It never ceases to amaze how un-alert and unprofessional Nairaland moderators are. How can someone open such an overtly sensational and dishonest thread and they put it on the frontpage?
When did an ex-FA boss become equal to a whole country? I watched Ghanaian football analysts lambast Mr Ben Koffie on JoySports for making those comments and yet one retarded, attention-seeking idi.ot makes frontpage with this falsehood instead of the thread being locked. This is disgusting.
Pls we need to educate ourselves more on this abortion stuff:

* if you use condom during sex- you support abortion

* if you take pre/post contraceptive pills you support abortion

*if you encourage pre-marital sex- you support abortion

*If you believe in family planning - you support abortion

*if you are engaged in adultery- you support abortion

* if you monitor your ovulation period before sex: you support abortion

*if you support a mother that aborts her child to save herself- you support abortion

* if you allow quacks/pros to use knives and the likes to abort a baby: you support abortion

Yes a lot of us consciously/unconsciously support abortion: if you are without sin then cast the first stone.
