Death penalty sounds too harsh!MrCrackles, what is harsh about killing a killer? do u know how many lives we lost on daily bases because of the harshness of our so-called leaders? if a doctor knows the implication of stealing public funds, he will remain in his profession. the problem with this opinion is who will make it a law? these law breakers in our national assembly? almost all are guilty of one crime or the other. i will support death penalty and a life ban on all relaives of offenders then nigeria will be forced to have electricity, good roads, security and develope like other rich countries of the world. |
He mentioned Ibori in another interview I saw somewhere. Someone also said that since Ibori stole more than 75% of his people's money, another project carried out by Ibori with the cash was paying for Yar'dua election. The people?, well that one of the problems with delta today.Naijaking1, who did ibori pay for yar adua? maybe to obj because we all know that yar adua was selected and annointed by just one man - saint obj. let us always look at what we write. we are all nigerians. if ibori was the highest criminal, why did ribadu not mess him up like he did to alams? there was a man who says who efcc catches and his name is obj. there was an investigation by ribadu which indicted bode george in the npa but for the sake of baba, ribadu had to drop that case till he left office. we all heard of andy uba's money laundary in the usa but ribadu told nigerians that was a civil case. ribadu like el rufai sucks. he shld keep quiet and enjoy his loots. everybody is celebrating him no until the day cnn we air the other side of the stories and nigerians will start calling cnn names. to me, ibori is just a state criminal while ribadu is an international criminal. why did ribadu probe only abacha among other past heads of states? where are those funds ribadu recovered during his days in efcc? how did those funds improve the lives of nigerians? people like okonjo iweala could not exist in that regime becuase she was out to know where funds come from and where they go to hence a legend in the finance sector was moved to information ministry. that is called changing a winning team. |
Bishopking, am all ears. do u have buyers? where are they from? what are their terms and what are ur conditions? what is their mode of payment? do i need to take anything with me or just me? am seriously waiting. |
"an achievement without a successor is a failure" obj is a maradonna of the highest order. his intention was to remain in powerbut since nigerians refused him that via third term, he vowed to make us pay dearly for our sturborness to him. even if the devil himself(satan) is given the official powers to be a president, he must do something that look like good. i used abacha as my example this, as bad as he was, nigeria and nigerians enjoyed the best of football under him if not for anyother thing, he ( abacha) was the best for that. the man(obj) had 8 uninterupted yrs with oil boom to fix security, nigerian police, power supply, bad roads, our educational systems, corruption and many other decayed outlets but what do we get? everybody is saying he tried, he tried, so how did he try? giving out illegal and uncompleted contracts that were paid for? appointing a direct tool to checkmate oponents in the name of war on corruption? the evils of obj and his administration climaxed with his handover. the question here is, was it in error? the correct answer is, No. he told us earlier that it was going to be a "DO OR DIE AFFAIRS". his tugs adedibu and chris uba were on hand to do their dirty jobs while saint ribadu was in his official cleaniness to advise contestants to drop their ambitions or face efcc. look at it this way, if he had any programes that needed continuation, there was man who have been working with him from inception and his name is atiku. it is obvious there were a lot of hiden agenda hence the introduction of a strange man. on the other hand, yar adua i not a new name to the obasanjos as the late yar adua was obj's second during his military days as head of state and died while in abacha's net alongside obj hence the need to compensate the family for his death. if you talk about been jinxed, his son will have a more realistic anwer to do after loosing his wife to his own father. |
for me, i can't wait for that time. in case any of u sees buyers from australia, usa or even cotonou, I AM VERY MUCH AVAILABLE. if i must wait till that time, it means i will fix a "BUY ME" notice on myself. what kind of slavery can be more than what we have here in the hands of kidnappers, govt, police and armed robbers? we are natural slaves here. like i said earlier on, i am very much willing to go into official slavery maybe, with the opportunities available over there, i will either become a basket ball player like shaquel o'neil, musician like akon, politician like obama or even movie actist like samuel a jackson. |
when is obj jumping to his death? |
The fact is that OBJ is one man individually I respect not just as a president but as a true patriot.@backslider, what is the meaning of a unionist? with ur low level of reasoning, lenghty write ups like this can go a long way in exposing ur inabilities? how many presidents have nigeria seen? who among them is obj better than? if a president had 8 yrs and cld not fix power problems, is it because of lack of funds or that the problem is beyond solution? is sleeping with his son's wife part of his goodness? nigeria's major problems before 1999 are election, power supply , secuirty, lack of basic armenities, sound education and corruption so which of the above mentioned problems was solved in obj's 8 yrs? obj's much talked about war on corruption cld only catch, alams, tafa balogun while ribadu kept on telling us that 31 govs are corrupt among whom two are president and vice today with millions of public criminals in his carbinet. pls point out to those areas in which obj made u proud so that as fellow nigerians can see with u. |
i am not a fan of the EzeNdigbo title because there's really no such thing in IGBOland. But i support the stance of Ohaneze Ndigbo on this. You can answer anything you want in Nigeria as long as you are a Citizen of Nigeria and you do not infringe on the right of anybody. There's nothing like trying to be a king in somebodies land as one of you suggested. That is the dumbest argument i have ever heard on this issue. Having a title does not mean you are ruling anybody or have any Political influence on the Lagos government or the affairs of any government. As Ohaneze stated, it is used as a rallying and unification title for igbos outside IGBOLAND. That you are called EzeNdigbo anywhere does not make you any king in IGBOAND or else- where. IT IS JUST A TITLE. Just like one can call himself the President/chairman of an association.strenght10, there is a contradiction here. if i choose to answer eze ndinigeria today, no problem but if i need recognition from nigeria based on that, aso rock now have right to say no. on the other hand, the lagos state govt is not even worried about the numerious titles we the ibos are taken rather it is our own ppl who are not comfortable with self acclaimed repreentative hence the call by ibos for lagos state govt to stop recognition. the eze and igwe ndigbo still have their titles but lagos state govt has no more recognition. even our so called ohaneze ndigbo is no longer in unity as we have factions so whosoever is talking might be talking in a bought over point of view. it is very important that an eze ndigbo in bauchi or lagos is well known person recognised back home with good characters to serve as a role model to others. i personally do not know or recognise anyone in lagos as eze ndigbo and many other ibos in lagos have the same view hence the unpopular ezendigbo shld go get himself bussy with something else. for the so called eze ndigbo, if lagos state does not want ur title, u can go to zamfara since u must be ezendigbo. |
DE - MO - CRA- CY if we go by what i have above, nigeria is still struggling in the DE section of this democracy and with the way we are moving, it might take us another 300 years to attain the second section because what we experience here is a step forward and a step backward meaning stagnant. people will tell you that rome was not built in a day but none is ready to say how long it took to build rome. when obj kicked off this movement in 1999, i looked at his moves and i said we are not progressing and people will shout me down. give him time! give him time! we gave obj first tenure, second tenure and a failed third tenure. here we are again, yar adua, two yrs into power, ppl are still saying give him time. all we need to do is to go to sleep so that yar adua will have all the time in the world. the major problem which nigerians have refused to look at here is that the so called democracy in nigeria have its faith in one man's palace or farm. look at the system since 1999, there is little or no differences in everything. it is all about the obasanjos and the annenihs. a man has refused to quit. like i said, we are just one place and the worst thing that will happen to a country is the idea of not moving forward or backward. a change in govt will definitely move the country either forward or backward. this change has nothing to do with the party rather it has to do with the people. if a man has been arround for a whole ten year without the expected result, why can't he let go. to me, obj is the pharoah of our time. i keep on asking myself, what is it that this man wants that he has not been able to achieve in such a long time? |
is anyone still taking platini and his uefa serious after such stamford display of madness? |
Platini Lauds Barcelona's Football Philosophyplatini has come to kill europe football with sentiment. if time is not taken, he will end up making europe soccer nigerian elections where winners emerge before elections. is that a good statement from a uefa president ahead of a crucial finals after the stamford show of shame? |
i thought fingered and fingering are common with women but i am begining to feel is now used in the halliburton scandal. nigerians can speak more grammer than the dictionary whenever it comes to criminal activities. call it president, head of state, commander in chief, obj and atiku are involved. as long as this scandal started far back 1994, we will have more names to that. on the other hand, this panel is accountable or will be ccountable to yar adua hence nigeria and nigerians will never know the real truth. this same dependency frustrated the ribadu efcc days when he must ask obj to permit him to make his findings public. |
I have read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, but still i could not find were Jesus Christ and even the Prophets that came before him had body guards. But that is synonymous with all our present days pastors, they all move with group of body guards, you are not allowed to have easy access to them, cos if you tried the body guards will rough handle you. I have sat down and thought over all these but i can not realy placed my mind on the reason why they are doing this. if disables can gain easy access to Jesus, then why not these pastors that call themselves God representative here on earth, pls let pounder over this,What could be the cause?@poster, the bible is not like everyother book so the act of reading from genesis to revelution is very different from understanding the contents. did u read Mathew 19 : 13-14? mathew 19 :13 - then were they brought unto him little children, that he shld put his hands on them, and pray; and the disciples rebuked them 14- But Jesus said, suffer little children , and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. what is the lesson here? the disciples were before him and they were there to stop or to prevent people coming close to him. there is another place in the bible where a sick man(the blind baltimaeus) was shouting on top of his voice. many were trying to stop him but he refused and continued until Jesus asked that he be brought to him. it is obvious that many will come in his namebut there is no place in the bible that says non will worship him in truth. it is not our duty to judge these so called men of God rather God's duty. if in ur process of reading from genesis to revelution, u came across the arrest of Jesus Christ, u will for sure see peter playing the role of a body guard when he used his sword to cut off marcus' ear. it was Jesus who asked peter to put back his sword in its case. the issues of body guards with our men of God have different implications but with the situation in nigeria warrants that they have guards arround them at least let the crowd stay away from them. |
that is one thing i like about farida. she goes for the big ones. when she trapped the likes of fani kayode, borrishade and bode george, i went to sleep because that is what one will consider impossible under ribadu and obj but a woman have made it look very ordinary. |
A youtube video is available for you to watch on shara site before making such comments. point of correction the haliburton scam started way back in the late 90's. I am sure you aware the chances of a fair trial in Nigeria is like trying to visit the moon with a cruise ship.oga, i am aware that it started way back 90s but what u must be aware of too is that it gets to 2004. if a much talked abot war on corruption cld not treat such a big scam, what then did it do? what about the bode george npa scandal- 90s abi? tell me about the tonny annenih ibadan/benin expressway contract scandal - maybe 80s? the third term agenda and the monetary transactions that took place in the house - 60s maybe? ettehgate - precolonial era? andy uba usa money laundry which ribadu told nigerians that it was a civil case - early 20s? fani kayode nko? 30s? abacha probe that made other past presidents innocent? 1910? iyabo obj - before Christ? power supply in nigeria - till thy kingdom come? sceurity - 1789? the big question here is, was the govt of 1999 till 2007 corrupt? if it is yes, who are they and what did ribadu do about them? if no, then praise the Lord. take a deep breath and look back at efcc uner ribadu, tell me the major achievements, name the big wigs that were questioned. if u had any politician from ur area who was loyal to obj, access him now and tell urself the truth. i have one in my area and am from imo state, the biggest house in my local govt was built under o bj and my gov under whom such funds were shared is now a minister courtsy of obj. stay away from the press and come back to ur locality and make a self accessment of whosoever is representing u under obj and know the truth. ribadu was nothing but a fake idiot. |
You're obviously related to one of the thieving governors, senators or their co-conspirators in the inept & corrupt public service@jairzinho, is the problem of nigeria lying in the state or aso rock? we are totally decieved. what happened to our federal roads, federal educational systems, federal power supply, federal security, federal oil allocations, the nigerian police and federal contracts? in which areas of our polity do u think the federal govt is doing more than the states govts? Between 1960 and 1999, Nigerian officials had stolen or wasted more than $440 billion. That is six times the Marshall Plan, the total sum needed to rebuild a devastated Europe in the aftermath of the Second World War. When you look across a nation and a continent riddled with poverty and weak institutions, and you think of what this money could have done – only then can you truly understand the crime of corruption, and the almost inhuman indifference that is required by those who wield it for personal gain@topic, if the said amount was stolen between the said time, what about between 1999 till date? ribadu was part of the show that brought and forced yar adua on us as he was on hand to tell other contestants to drop their presidential ambitions or face efcc. we were all here when marwa was shaken by ribadu to willingly drop his presidential ambition. in which ways are ribadu today accepting responsibilities in misleading nigerians? if i look at efcc under ribadu, i saw a tool out to make every state in nigeria a pdp loyal state, i see an organisation design to run after the few outspoken state govs but a look at farida will surely show u that bode george, fani kayode, borrishade and even a serving elumelu cld be docked constitutionally and not making them guilty and calling them criminals on the pages of newspapers. by the way, where did ribadu leave the atiku/obj saga? ended with april polls. it was this same ribadu that probed only abacha among other past presidents or cld it be true that abacha stole all the said amount above-pure deciet. how can i join this crowd who are praising ribadu for going after orji uzor kalu when all the federal contracts paid for were left undone. even okada riders in nigeria know the history of ibadan-benin expressways reconstruction contract under obj yet ribadu does not know. if alams was sent to jail for corruption and money laundary, why wasn't mrs etteh and andy uba? if kalu was corrupt, what was odili? if the state govs were criminals, what was obj? why was atiku not sent to jail? why was ibb not questioned by ribadu? we better face the realities. no matter how slow yar adua is and how corrupt farida is, nigerians are waiting to know who and who were involved in the halliburton scandal maybe the govs. |
But the policy today in Nigeria is to use all the right rhetoric – speaking of the need for rule of law and the fight against corruption – to cover-up their real campaign to completely undo the reform efforts of the previous government and so thoroughly confuse corruption and anticorruption that no one can sort out which is which any longerlike someone rightly said, he shld get a life. is he now fighting corruption in nigeria or america? why is el rufai and ribadu now making international figures while nigeria is on fire? if everyone had ran away when they were in power, who would they have corrected? they shld come back here and talk to nigerians who are eager to speak to them on neutral bases. what wld ribadu say he achieved in his much talked about war on corruption? the halliburton scandal took place under his nose and most of all the corruption charges and cases were committed while he was ranting and panting. he shld be able to tell nigerians among all these big wigs that farida have arrested(bode george, borrishade, fani kayode, elumelu and other long lists), who among them is not corrupt and why non of them was questioned under him. let us be factual here. was alams the problem of bayalsa or nigeria? today, almost all the politicians and public office holders under obj are answering one case or the other while under him, the only criminal we knew were alams, kalu, kalu's mother and ibori while at federal level, nobody was guilty. if ribadu wantd the heroic position he was looking for, he shld be able to stand his ground in nigeria and tell us why he dropped charges against bode george and while many others were made kings and secred cows. |
not been in the mood after eating and drinking. disturbing or obstructing my sleeps with free midnight calls. |
7. she must be excessively fat 6. she must be the snoring type while sleeping. 5. she must not know how to cook 4. she must kno how to lie 3. she must not trust me 2. she must be a nag 1. she must be ready to fight always |
the interpretation is that u have a nice bed but u don't know how to make use of it. solution; go search for performance centres arround u and register immediately. |
for naija gals, just buy them recharge cards, take them to tantalizers, tasty fried chicken, mr.bigs and all the good eatries arround u. if she does not react immediately, buy her electronics, new handset(quality phone), take her to shopping and if she did not respond positively, let her be and know that she is possessed |
@poster, very very and very simple. buy her recharge cards, meat and chicken piles, give her money to go to movies with her friends. if she is living on her own, change her electronics, pay for dstv channels for her. change her wardrobe. make sure u know her ccount number to pay in cash before she asks. above all, make sure she is using a good handset courtsy of ur goodwill. if u ever try the above recommendations, u will bring some of her loves to us as u will be infected with her excess love. |
i see nothing wrong in kidnapping those who kidnap power supply on daily basis. |
i can see hardship at work. if not for the situation in nigeria, how will a normal person mention el rufai for president? any good leader that is afraid of accountability is very close to satan. why will the slowpoke run away after his good works? can a good leader run away from accountability? before he will become president, we expect him to first of all come and clear the mess he has back home. |
Everybody is so quick to castigate our presidents and 'heroes'. Eveyone of the people that have been listed had their flaws but they also did something good for this country.Tymoti, u have the best answer for the wrong question. a square peg in a round hole. we are not talking about what is repsonsible for their perfomance rather we are talking about their performance. no matter how good or bad the system is, somebody must be better than the other. it is this same system that produced donald duke and fashola that produced their counterparts in other states. pls if you know any of the presidents that tops this chat, do let us know but if u don' t know of any, then wait till we ask why they are doing what they are doing. @topic, it is important we know that military leaders econsidered to e a type of govt. in looking at the worst president, i don't like the idea of just mentioning names without reasons. like i said ealier, obj has been the only nigerian who had the opportunity of ruling nigeria for eight democratic and uninterupted years of oil boom as the president/oil minister. he has my vote as the worst president. again, the idea of someone saying yar adua here to me is biased. we all know how godfathers and the political sons operate here in nigeria. an example of such situation can be linked to the melodrama in anambra between chris ngige and his godfather (chris uba) so we do not expect yar adua to go out of his way. to me, yar adua is simply an extension of obj's brutality. if obj cld stake his neck in forcing yar adua on us, he shld be able to always accept responsibilities for his inabilities. |
when andy uba the then pa to obj was caught in money laundry in the usa and was found guilty by a law court overthere, ribadu made nigerians to understand that it was a civil case. i am suspecting the same to happen to those found guilty in the halliburton scandal. i am seeing them call it gift. the funny aspect of it all is that nigerians am speaking more grammer than the real owners of the language. |
Pally, get serious. They would continue to carry the blame as along as this problem crop up.meexteriox, south africa that went through apperthied is today the no 1 country in africa so who do u praise of blame for their position? what segregation are u talking about in the colonial era? did the so called segregation make yorubas the only criminals in nigeria or did it make the ibos saints? i have outlined it here, we have all the tribes well represented in the destruction industry of nigeria. i for once have never seen the role of tribalism in the detruction of nigeria as these various tribes will always come together as one to steal. atiku's loots was in conjuction with his able friend obj and that was a yoruba/hausa combination that worked perfectly. andy uba's usa money laundry case was traced to presidential jet and ottah farm representing a yoruba/ibo combination. el rufai had to strip land owners of their lands just to please his ibo girl friend-hausa/ibo combination. fani kayode cld not do without ibo girls to whom some of his loots were traced to-yoruba/ibo combination. under obj, we had okonjo iweala and soludo, prof iwu. we also had atiku, el rufai, ribadu, borrishade, bode george so how is tribalism in work here. the criminal records of our politicians have never been one sided here on nairaland to the best of my knowledge. we have outstanding cases like obj, atiku and prof iwu and i have never seen one tribe falling behind their own on any of the topics. |
@Omofineboy, u said Olusegun is the worst?? u wanna shed some light on dat? cos i read in anoda thread from anoda website dat he is the best president Naija has had so far even tho they didn't state wat makes him the best we've had, i want to know more about that. while we are at it, i also wud love 2 know who you guys think is the best president to date while statin your opinion of the worst and why to both, thanks.@wendydoks, i want to second the post above with the following reasons; 1. among all the above named past presidents, non has enjoyed an elected and uninterupted eight ( years of leadership outside obj.2. his two terms of presidency witnessed the highest level of official/political killings including a serving attorney general/ two communities. 3. his tenure legalised the reign of political thugry as was witnessed in the hands of adeddibu and chris uba both of pdp. 4. looting and embezzlement of public funds was in record state under his leadership 5. basic armenities under obj was in their worst states(roads, power supply, water, hospitals, schools etc) 6. certain individuals were positioned above the laws hence they were recognised as untouchables - andy uba, tony annenih, bode george, borrishade are some of the names in this class. 7. he was the only nigerian president to be the petrolium minister at the same time. 8. he was and is the only nigerian president to have lost his moral standard to the extent that his biological son accused him of sleeping with his wife via contract seduction. 9. his policies brought untold hardship to the middle class that encouraged mass exodus of the youths. 10. he organised the worst selection/election in the history of man in 2007 april polls which saw him force his choice of candidates on nigeria and nigerians. i hope with these few points of mine, i have been able to convience and not confuss u that obj apart from been the ugliest nigerian president, is the worst president nigeria has seen and my prayers is that he remains the worst. |
i now see there are many idiots and fools on NairaLand. When Nigeria goes asking for loan legitimately from other countries, dont we get considered and they give us? What is there in Nigeria helping another country genuinely and legitimately? I think some people here are just illetrates and cant think or reason deeply. I am just short for words at these kind of responses.mosun_ade, u are correct. in fact i am the no 1 idiot here. if i may ask, why are we giving out this money? wht is the purpose of this loan? maybe for them to fix their roads, electricity, schools etc and on that note, nigeria has fixed all her problems to encourage others. is it possible that a father whose children are hungry lend out money to another father to bu food for his household? let us continue decieving ourselves. soon we are going to give loan to america. nigeria and nigerians are destitutes all over the world yet we give out loans. semi madness. what impression are we creating here? can a man who has scare in his eyes remove another man's scare? can a blind man lead a blind man? the situation here in nigeria represent nothing but lack. can u give what u don't have? do u know this country in question? don't they have good roads, electricity, good water and security in that country? nigeria sometime ago gave loan to united arab emirates but today look at dubai. malysia's major revenue is palm oil and this was exported from nigeria but look at malysia and nigeria today. we must begin to face realities. non of our schools is recognized in africa talkless of outside and you do not see the need for emergency in that area. |
i share your views on the topic but will like to disagree on some issues, in Nigeria the govt is simply a collection of business goons who elect who rule us on there terms , like it or not come 2011 yar a dull will be president and most state will be pdp . be cos of the facts you ve already enumerated. the question is not about poverty likewise poverty should open our eyes to the ease at wish selected few are able to destroy the economy. average Nigerian s have lost the fire to fight for there rights , we are docile in brain most time , we know wan die , papa DE for house etc,.@ode remo, like vigasimple said, hunger is a very big weapon. in afghanistan, osama bin laden succeeded because he met a hungry ppl. in pakistan today, taliban and other islamic group are raising more suicide bombers there because the ppl are hungry. in the northern part of nigeria today, an alhaji who feeds many hungry ppl in his house has the power to make them go out and fight a war without asking why compare to the situation in the western and eastern part of nigeria. are u saying afghanistan and pakistan are more islamic than saudi arabia, united arab emirates and kuwait. biafra fought a war which they lost under 30 months with the human and property lost still telling on them till date. what nigerians are doing today to me is not act of cowardice rather they are afraid of the likely consequences. if we are talking about wars and revolutions, how does these things work? do u fight wars with bare hands or do u consider the possibilities of matching what the govt have in their armoury. the tamil tigers rebels in sri lanka have sourrendered to the govt forces after 25 years of war, are they cowards and what is the end product of their wars? wise and brave men re choosen among the living and not the dead. be informed that americans and ghanians are not more industrious than nigerians neither are they more law abiding than nigerians rather they are lucky to be under good governance. |
Orji Uzor Kalu, the chairman board of trustees of PPA”.@poster, look for someother topics to post. i will suggest u get information on ur topics before posting them. u have to get urself well equipt before exposing ignorance. u can google slok and know more about kalu. he was an errand boy to the military big boys way back 80s. he is supposed to be in the same business levels with dangote and adenuga as they all started the same time and they are friends till date. in 1999, he was the highest donor to the obj for president campeign with us$1 m. if you want to talk about corruption in nigeria, kalu is no where in the who is who but if u talk about corruption in abia, u are most welcome. kalu after his election in 1999, he was operating from aba instead of umuahia and with his private convoy. he has really been on money, i mean real money. |
Ibori,@poster, pls don't bother searching for names, all u need to do i tell ur children that another name for nigeria is corruption. |

years of leadership outside obj.
