as long as one is not deaf, hearing is a continious process.

@ poster, be careful the kind of places you go as that determines the type of things you hear.
if you visit good places, you are bound to hear good things but when you visit local drinking bars where monkey tail is served with some other concutions, you can hear,

on my own, i hear say, dangote want to buy aso rock.

please if anyone hear anything, make im tell us hear.
PoliticsRe: How Can We Hold Credible Elections In Nigeria? by chidichris(m): 8:58am On May 04, 2009
Question: Do you have proof that your vote does not count, Or do you just assume that if your side looses, your vote did not count?

Question: Are you sure the common man is being cheated in all this Or is he only getting exactly what he has worked for in this?

Question: If Democracy implies that the common man be highly involved in the making of his future, would you then consider that the common man is largely responsible for the current situation in which he finds himself giving that the average Nigerian tends to push blame for all things wrong on those he tags KINGPINS, while he sits and waits for the same KINGPINS to magically change their evil ways one day?

Question: How involved is the common man who claims to be cheated in this system, in government? Note the meaning of democracy as you respond to this question.

Question : Are the "almighty riggists" ordinary Nigerians or politicians? Does Yar adua come down from Aso Rock to rig the ballot boxes?
@kobojunkie,
what did americans do when they felt bush was rigged into power?
how did a common american influence the system then?
what did a common man do in the ghanian situation that warranted the change in the country?
how does a passanger in an aircraft decide where the plane goes?
what is the relevance of what is happening in ekiti state today to the act of standing up against the govt?
in your case, u are still confussed over the situation in nigeria as you do not know what to believe.
have u taken ur time to know the difference between the usa democracy and nigerian democracy?
you are always hiding ur personality. i urge you to stand up for what you believe in. stop pretending. take a side and defend your belief.

In all fairness Okiro is not to be blame with this masquerade parade. The ATF Aondoakaa should be held accountable and not deem to hold that highest post of law.

IF we can not have transparency with this expose and prosecution of culprits, how can we trust him to be trust worthy in prosecuting criminals?
mamajama,
before you make comments here, i urge you to go back and read ur past posts on obj threads. u are such a big fool that u cannot disappear like ur fellow obj supporters.
i hope u can guess what the halliburton saga will look like. do u realize that 1999 till date is in question here? ur saint obj will still remain a saint with this delay in publication which is another way of making room to edit the list.
no wonder u have not been all over nairaland supplying ur stupid information.
we are waiting.

this halliburton issue is part of obj's reasons for not letting go on his grip on power. he did his best in third term and failed. he succeeded in forcing yar adua who he finds favour in on us but there is a God that can supply them with enough confussion to let nigeria and nigerians be free from their deadly grip.

i am praying for that day we will look back to see these egyptians no more.

without reading the article above, it is simple. it is always about the anambra/enugu factor vs other ibos.
there has never been a king for the ibos, there is non and there is no picture of one in the nearest future.
chrity begins at home. the ibos in lagos must have deemed it necessary for the ibos to have a king but that will be a round peg in a square hole. they shld go back and start from home. we have non at home why having one in lagos? who is ohazulike and who made him our leader?
lagos govt must have heard enough of the problems before taking this bold step which to me is a perfect one.
i have been in lagos for sometime noe, i do not know of this name or who he is so ho can such man claim to be the king of the ibos. he can be the king of anambra/enugu and not the king of the ibos.
in igboland, it is believed that kingship is inheritted so how come this man in lagos is a king?

there is no two sides to the story of ndigbo. it has been one which is igbo ama eze. the ibos have no king from time immemorial.

the ohazulike of man so go and keep himself bussy with something else.
PoliticsRe: Revealed! Why Fani-kayode Is Being Persecuted : He Refuses To Be An Efcc Witne by chidichris(m): 10:09am On May 03, 2009
chidichris m dubai-
U are so naive. Dont u know that there is a presumption of innocence in law? Where is the evidence against the OBJ boys, including Fani-Kayode? Don't u know what is really going on in Nigeria and that it is all political? It is only in nigeria that people are counted as guilty just b'cos they have been accused by govt.

And b'cos most Nigerians are bitter and frustrated sadists they believe it. Just know that yaradua is the greatest evil that ever ruled Nigeria and that he is persecuting OBJ and his boys, including El Rufai, Ribadu and Fani-Kayode, b'cos they are the only ones that are truly clean and that can stand up to him and take him on.If OBJ himself was not a coward he would have come out publicly to complain about all this but he is too old and weak now and he knows that yaradua is paranoid and vindictive enough to put him in chains too.

Why do u think that the Americans would not even give Farida Waziri, the new efcc chairman, a visa to go to the U.S.? It is only in Nigeria that people are being fooled by yaradua's so called anti corruption war. He is just trying to kill Nigeria's brightest and best or to cower them into silence in order to cover up his own inadequeces and incompetence and his wifes stealing.

Shine ur eye, get real and grow up please.
Isoka,
pls calm down and rephrase ur statements here my understanding. am sorry i really did not understand u. what is ur point?
PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Remains The Best! by chidichris(m): 10:04am On May 03, 2009
Sure OBJ was the best we had so many people killed like never before.

Odi, Zaki Biam, Bola Ige, Dikibo, Harry Marshall, The worst selection in history(Ekiti people are still suffering), Andy Uba

No wonder he was pelted with rotten tomatoes a while back
dayokanu,
i am in love. i know u have something to offer and here u are. that is why i said u were not fit in sports forum but i can see u delievering here. more of this.

@poster,
have u ever find out the meaning of best in the dictionary?
who are u comparing obj with?
who has ever served eight uninterupted years with oil boom in nigeria as a president as well as the petrolium minister?

you wrote,
Who said Obasanjo never tried to actualise the dream
of power supply to our Naija.
Yes,the unfortunate hero did.
do you know the meaning of trying? is leadership supposed to be about trying? did obj made promises to nigeria and nigerians during his election campeign days? if yes, how far did he go with those promises of his?

another slowpoke was even comparing the efcc under ribadu that specialised in anti pdp governors to waziri pdp that has arrested over ten ministers and federal govt employees. was the problem of federal govt of nigeria in abia state or bayelsa state? the federal govt had its problems right there in aso rock. the likes of bode george, borrishade, tony annenih, fani kayode, andy uba, adedibu just to mention but a few were all existing and dinning with obj while ribadu was bussy running up and down looking for the mother of a state gov-isn't that a shame?

nigerians are patiently waiting for the halliburton news to further crown ur hero a saint of our time.

Compare Utaka at lens to Utaka in Portsmouth

martins at Inter to martins of Newcastle

Aghahowa of Shaktar to Aghahowa of Wigan,
Obama,
utaka had less competition in lens and when u play well at eyimba, there is nothing to guarrantee u a place in man u or liverpool. martins was not doing very well at inter otherwise they will not sale him. aghahowa is simply old.
can u see what epl did to kanu and okocha. do u know dickson etuhu and his brother.
the truth of the matter is that espn that is the only source of football in the usa does not even show epl.
can't u see how arsenal thrashed villeral, did u see liverpool flush real madrid? did u see man u drop inter? did u watch chelsea settle juve?

the truth of the matter is that barca is on fire.
chelsea is so far the only team that has stopped them from scoring at home this season and that is worth celebrating.

please if u must argue soccer, it must not be with dayokanu because he lives in the usa and so used to basketball and their their scoring manners.
he has little information about football.

he is yet to understand that every top player's dream is to play in the epl at the moment.
if liverpool was not paired with chelsea or anyother english team in the ucl, we shld be talking about four english teams in the last four.

for now, soccer is in england and that is why all fifa awards are residing in english players.

SportsMikel To Get New N12.6m A Week Offer - Chelsea Moves To Fend Off Mourinho by chidichris(op): 10:36am On May 02, 2009
NIGERIAN international, John Mikel Obi is on the verge of signing a new five-year contract with Chelsea to starve off Inter Milan manager, Jose Mourinho’s interest in him.

Mourinho has been hoping the Nigerian midfielder would follow him to Serie A, but Mikel is set to pledge his future to the Blues after becoming a regular this season.

The former Chelsea manager is looking for a replacement for Patrick Vieira and reports in Italy claimed he was prepared to offer the Nigerian £,a-week (about N. million) to make the switch to Serie A.

Mikel, who still has two years left on his current deal left to run, is understood to earn around £,a-week (about N. million) at the moment.

Mikel has enjoyed his best season for Chelsea since he joined the club from Lyn Oslo in .

The Nigerian international opened talks over a new deal at the end of last year but they were then put on hold.

But Chelsea is determined to keep Mikel at the club and is expected to match the offer Inter was reportedly planning.

Mikel’s agent, John Shittu, told London’s Evening Standard: “We are now discussing the renewal of the contract. There has been interest from different clubs in Spain and Italy, not forgetting some big teams in England, but John will remain at Chelsea.

“For the time being his only concern is to ensure his position with the Blues and until he has done that he will go nowhere.”

Mikel showed his growing maturity in Chelsea’s draw with Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final, first leg at the Nou Camp on Tuesday.

It was his nd start of the season, which is already higher than the personal best he set in the last campaign.

He played a significant role in helping Chelsea nullify Barca’s much-vaunted attack after being picked by Guus Hiddink to play alongside Michael Ballack in front of the back four.

i'm a madrid fan and i'll tell you the EPL is over rated. where is the attacking football that has been advertised. bull shit. the only team i see that attacks and does it well is liverpool. all the rest are just shit. liverpool scroed 28 goals in 7 games as folows:

madrid 4
manure 4
villa 5
chelsea 4
blackburn 4
arsenal 4
hull 3

now thats what i call attacking football. none of the other 3 have scored 28 goals this calendar year. all the rest are so bloody boring. what a waste of 13k(9k dstv & 4k hitv) watching the premier league. (excluding liverpool).

madrid belongs to the king and are the kings of UCL.
@TOXICGUY,
i don't believe things like u are still in existance. do u believe that the end justifies the means? u can score a record goals of 1.5 million in a season, that is good for history but at the end of the day ur stores will record 0 trophy. of what use is salt if the taste is lost? liverpool scored 28 and conceeded how many? so what is the goal difference? don't u know that westbrom can beat madrid 5-0 on a good day?
madrid fans not allowed here-reason, pepe did an aborminable thing in football and have been banned for 10 matches-historic, isn't that?
the only hope for liverpool's season is the epl with no guarantee.
remember, i get am before na story. madrid is only running up and down for ronaldo an epl player. they bought diarra, roben and nestaroy all epl players. so go talk other things because u no sabi footie.
the news in town is that sturnorn chelsea held barca. the same barca that maltreated madrid in the camp. if chelsea catch madrid, na 8-0

Ever notice how so many of them seem to have dirt on the others that they would take to their graves while we the Nigerian people are left to our imaginations and our delusions in the end??
Kobojunkie,
the question in the case of dele giwa is who killed him and why he was killed. the one who killed giwa has a better explainations on the reasons. if u are telling us why he was killed, it means u have the details including who the killer is.
do u just argue because u must argue? whatever reasons the woman has for resigning, the most important thing is that things are no longer what she expected hence the need for her to resign and let the country flow.
it is more than obvious that from the series of meetings yar adua and iwu are having, they have some hidden proggrames.
the woman shld find a way to get out of nigeria otherwise her name will be included in the list of unresolved deaths in nigeria
