moriss33: [Lemme break it down for you.... you steal my locked Samsung & u somehow bypass security. Now ur in...u see my alerts & you have my sim. U don't av my PIN You don't av my ATM How do you then steal money then ?
quote author=contigiency post=101912055]
Do I need to tell you that when they snatch your phone they will have access to your bank details? Or do you think they will pity you and give you your SIM card linked to your account? The IMEI they are talking about is to use it and trace stolen phone. Do I also need to tell you that once anyone with stolen phone is apprehended, it will lead to recovering other things he stole from his victims?
bros...they are not interested in recovering your phone for you. The earliest you understood that the better ooh!
Lack of job is not the reason for crime rather greed
fact bro, our senators and ministers etc that continues to stash money, worse of it they move/invest abroad and use the left overs to oppress and buy security here are not poor. They are simply greedy with evil possessed mind.
Richy4: Most of the country abroad way all of una dey eye to go dey do am, why not start learning to submit to relevant authority now before you waka ?
Submitting EMEI is not the problem, using it to oppress innocent citizens for speaking up or opposition to their crazy ideas is.
moriss33: NCC no get work at all...instead make dem pressure Ntwrk Providers to make data & calls cheaper 4 Nigerians....na this rubbish dem wam begin worry over ? Omo Nigeria is on a long thing with this cursed administration aswear...wetin concern Nigerian Government with Phone IMEI ? Is that a priority now ?
it is ooh...there is a reason for that and it's not all those trash they said there.
SEasternVictory: Many of us have been flirting with Nnamdi Kanu’s IPOB for a while now. There is so much injustice and poverty in Igbo land that all solutions are considered in trying to resolve the plight of the people. Massob and other groups that came before IPOB with peace and protest were killed en masse by blood thirsty illiterate and poorly trained soldiers . So when IPOB came with a more belligerent approach to resolving matters, many of us embraced their strategy and began to support some of their policies.
However, Nnamdi Kanu’s broadcasts are filled with unbridled rage, myth, hate and viciousness which becloud the message that he is trying to deliver. While he is indeed admired for this courage in addressing the pertinent issues that affect the South East, and standing up to power without remorse or favour, his constant abuse of Africans , Nigerians and blacks generally is seriously detrimental to any international support or sympathy he may have gained or could gain if he had taken a more constructive approach. Furthermore , calling blacks dumb, monkeys , fools etc is surely not the method a rational, sane and educated person should use to disseminate information to the people he claims to love.
The last straw for me was his speech this evening which appeared to be a call for suicide bombers and suicide missions. This is anathema to Igbo culture and Igbo religion, we don’t encourage suicide. His speech was nothing short of a call for death en masse and by intent, on the basis of myth and delusions. Asking Igbos to accept that there will be huge loss of life without a credible solution and well equipped armoury is irresponsible and shameful.
Nnamdi Kanu has also exposed increasing levels of illiteracy amongst the youth due to rapidly falling academic standards, a decrepit education system and social media addiction; this makes them vulnerable to any wind of doctrine that flows from the mouth of Nnamdi Kanu. Exploiting the youth to achieve your aims with no respect for the value of their life is cruelty.
In addition, the random murder of security forces and call for 2000 heads to bury Ikonso is not what an educated rational leader would ever say , it’s barbaric , diabolical, and creates the impression that all Igbos are savages baying for bloodshed.
I cannot in good conscience allow Nnamdi Kanu lead Igbo youth on a suicide mission; I can no longer in good conscience cheer at the death of security forces and the destruction of property and innocent life.
We want Biafra , we can get it , but it will take time, resources, planning , subtlety , strategy, negotiation and partnerships. Right now we need to protect what we have and move in a more logical and informed direction.
Thank You.
blame the increase in illiteracy level on the tutor's (lecturer's and the society at large) who encourage sorting and laziness but demonize serious minded ones
Pray for Palestine and Isreal. God bless Nigeria my fatherland. It's hypocrisy to condemn police brutality here in Nigeria and support police brutality and human rights abuses in Isreal. Isreal has a narcissistic leader and I keep wondering if after more than a decade Netanyahu has spent in office yet with so much blood letting, Isreali don't have a competent leader to steer the ship of the nation. Idi Amin didn't do half of these before the western press demonized him.
Meanwhile, Hamas should please stop firing missiles into Isreal too.visit www.freestuffsng.com for latest freestuffs in Nigeria. God bless Nigeria.
. Medicine after death...why fire missiles into Isreal...Lesson you should teach yourself and others don't start a war you can't win by looking for trouble...
I am inspired to write this because of a recent video I stumbled upon on youtube, which reaffirmed a viewpoint I've always had.
Nowadays, manufacturers of smartphone seem to be doing everything possible to take away the ability to repair their gadgets, should any minor damage happen to it from the users, this is aimed at forcing such consumers to buy the next new thing.
Two most popular ways they do this is by making the components integrated or expensive, or restricting the parts supply or expertise for repairs. In both cases the result is an impossible/difficult to repair device or a very costly to repair device (so much that sometimes, you're just better off buying a new one - which is their aim anyway).
This is firstly unhealthy to the pockets of low income earners, and unnecessary spending to even people that can afford new devices all the time. Looking at the bigger picture, this practice also leads to generation of large amounts of e-waste, resources used to make these products are quite finite, I won't delve into the children who are dying in congo...so that big brands can make hyped components. But of course the makers don't care...they're here for profit, no matter the cost to the planet.
So when next that new latest device is launched, and all the hype, unboxing and review around it starts raving and you start feeling pressure to buy...take a minute to research into the reparability of the device, simply put if this my phone falls and the screen breaks, will I be able to change it? How easy or costly will it be?
That will help a lot in buying sustainable brands and products, Nigeria is only a section of the market and nairaland is even a more micro section of this market, but factoring reparability into buying decisions and spreading the word could go a long way to forcing this manufacturers to stop seeing users the way drug dealers see addicts...
Edit...
Since someone mentioned it, there are ways to find out if a smartphone is easily reparable before you buy.
The supplier's repair service, does the maker of this device have committed parts and repairs service from the outset?
History of that particular brand, the older generations and versions of phones from this maker, how durable were they? If they got spoiled, were they reparable? And at what cost? etc.
My own method is teardown videos (this might be boring for someone who isn't tech savvy), but teardown videos on YouTube shows you bit by bit of how the components of every phone that comes out are assembled, this way it's easy to know how difficult it will be to uncouple a device or switch a part.
Another way could be to ask questions, ask a good phone repair guy, very good tech and repair people stay ahead of development, so they usually know what a new phone is made of, before they start breaking and needing repairs.
In any case, the idea is to buy things that are durable, and that can repair is they sustain a minor damage, better for your budget, better for our world.
I love the phrase, "they are here to profit no matter the cost of the planet"
Then...why is she asking Buhari, since her brothers and sisters in the East know the answer. She should relocate to the South East, if she is not in touch with what is happening.
SmartProf: I'll advise those humanitarian service providers especially from the UN, to withdraw their services from this well scripted Insurgency and flex their money instead, cos the leaders of the northern region and their top security commanders are just cashing out and catching cruise from the crisis...they may even commit suicide if the crisis end. Let them use their region to keep testing weapons & shooting Arabic war videos.
they're not that too willing to help and really don't even need to (for them). Only Nigeria will truly fix Nigeria problems. If they wanted to help they would have done that long ago but no P it will soon go round then this God forsaken leaders will understand that they are not safe too
Paperworka: He was sent home early by a BIAFRAN so that he will not miss his 72 virgins
you mean Nzeogwu? you must be joking, the biggest mistake Aguiyi made was sparing his life because some so called elites intervened otherwise there wouldn't be any reason to justify and glorify the hatred towards Igbo race in this country. but all the same the enemies of true igbos will always find excuse and we fucking don't care anymore. we will continue to be good because that's one of the secrets of our prosperity.
GodisFirst: NSCDC boss, please also tell him that the herdsmen have taken over all the community farm lands (called Agu in Igbo land) in Enugu state. Our mothers in the villages are now afraid to go to those farms and harvest what they had planted. The cattle are even now advancing to the farms very close to the homes. I read here on Nairaland, some one reported a case where the Fulani herdsmen with there cow entered a family compound and started harvesting coconut and the owners were afraid to resist them due to fear of attack. We know that Enugu state is in the hands of God even before the birth of Gov, Ugwuanyi.
What we also want the NSCDC boss to tell the Gov. is that Eke Obinagu junction of Enugu - Abakaliki Express Road needs a good flyover due to the heavy traffic that is seen on the road this days. There should also be Bypass roads around that area (Nchatancha, Unity Layout, Akpuoga, Obinagu, Onuogba) to reduce this heavy traffic jam pending the construction of the flyover. This will also reduce the accidents on that road due to drivers now being in a hurry to cross the junction before the traffic hold up builds.
Enugu state is in the hands of God.
The New Orie Emene Market cannot function very well without a good road that can ease traffic of Traders, Buyer and Sellers from the old Abakaliki road to the market, hence the need to face lift the road that went through the Emenite Junction to the new Orie Emene Market and joins the Enugu - Abakaliki Express Way at PRODA junction. This will also help to reduce the traffic jam this market will create at that PRODA junction.
Enugu state is in the hands of God.
A good road that will cut across Emene through Nchatancha /Obinagu area to Akpugo /Agbani /Ozalla road will also help travelers from Ebonyi to Anambra State to bypass these traffic and join the 4 Corners Junction on Enugu PH Express road and taking the old road through Udi / Oji River to Anambra State. This will make life a bit easy for the Igbo and boost the economy.
Enugu state is in the hands of God.
Don't for get to tell him the need to open up roads to the communities to enable development of nearby communities as the influx of people into Enugu, the increasing population is now affecting the cost of house rent and and general cost of living in Enugu State. Some will prefer to live in their houses in the communities and come to work from there if they have safe and shorter access roads. Don't forget these roads will help to bring food from the communities to the Enugu town to feed this increasing population.
Enugu state is in the hands of God.
We will look at availability of Power (NEPA, PHCN, EEDC, I don't know the next name they will be give). Population Surge will always bite if nothing is done to upgrade the Electrical Power structures and Power (MW) supplied to the Environment. The existing feeders will be overloaded and this will definitely lead to collapse of the existing structures if a proactive measure is not taken to nip this at the bud. Unless you tell these people coming into Enugu to carry their individual Power generators as they are coming. If that is the case, we should start looking at increase Environmental pollution (Air, Noise, Land and Water) due to these increased number of generators.
Enugu state is in the hands of God.
Do we have enough capable health Workers, Medical personnel and hospitals that will attend to the spike in health challenges the above environmental hazards will bring. The Catholic Church in Enugu state has been doing well in helping by providing Health Care systems and services to the State, check out these hospitals Niger Foundation, Annunciation, Mother Of Christ, Ntasiobi, among others, hope this population rise won't overwhelm them. Government should support them ensuring there is adequate and reliable power Supply and good access roads to the hospitals.
Enugu state is in the hands of God.
I hope and pray that Enugu state will remain in the hands of God.
God bless Ndi Enugu, God bless Ndi Igbo, God bless Biafra Land. God bless Nigeria (for now Ndi Igbo is still in Nigeria) God bless Africa May God have mercy on Humanity.
. you dey mind them. all the domestic roads are bad without any plans of repairs
He has the most useless PDP chairman ever in his pocket.
I have never seen an opposition keep quiet when the country is drifting into abyss.
All they do is issue statement which a clerk writes and they send to press.
Remember how APC in 2014 was all over the press mounting pressure on GEJ, Matching in Abuja. Granting international conferences and holding symposiums.
If PDP wins 2023 it will be a miracle.
odi kwa egwu even if APC front Buhari they can't go anywhere... who is even interested in any election.
leicestercamper: Useless explanation from a Nigerian local champion- Maria Ude.
Electoral college is a form of allocation of numbers backed by the constitution to each state in America usually determined by the resident state population. Some states have 3, 4, 10, 20, 30, etc. depending on the residency population.
Like California has the highest electoral votes, followed by Texas. Politically, some states are more important to political parties than others.
For instance, Wyoming, DC, Delaware, North & South Carolina have the least electoral votes, so politically speaking an American politician gives more attention to California, Texas and other states with high electoral votes, than states with least electoral votes.
See the way the electoral votes are classified.
you basically repeated Maria Udeh analysis so why the insult/name calling
Calls for anti social media bill in the day apologise on twitter at night when they reminded him of 2023, this politicians won't seize to amaze me.....
he was also the one who said that Nigeria should ban foreign movies....
SUFFERInSMILIIN: ]Nigeria is a nation of illiterate and stupidity. What did she do for Nigeria in terms of development nothing what did she do for Africa in terms of development nothing. How can you have somebody for one of the most backward countries in the world trying to lead the wto please let her come and build our country before taking her illiteracy to other countries. Davash222: Anyone doubting the authenticity of the Lekki massacre videos should have his or her brains examined.
my bro...sometimes when I wish to be born in another country it's not just because of leaders but also the stupid morons like those who claim the videos are false. Our leaders were able to maim and deceive us because of them.
asanwafo: He has done that by talking about the guy whose brain was spilled on the floor. If u have anything on the contrary, say it. Is ur like that is fanning the ember of these violence in the name of fighting for Nigerians
is like you are a big nonentity, at least your Governor has confirmed 2 deaths, you are still here arguing. Abeg if you are not an idiot talk on ways to better Nigeria, not on criticizing the protests... bring better idea's on deck.
Madridguy clearly analyzed and made his case. You, here said absolutely nothing rather you are attacking him and extending it to police brutality. You are part of the problem. Show your own proof or debunk what he wrote with facts. Youtube cannot block videos that was recorded on peoples phones and shared via whatsapp.
