gwafaeziokwu:The fact they target and kill predominantly Igbo or southern police men has since exposed the fact that some of these unknown gunmen are Fulani militants. What they are doing is to hide under agitation against illegal check points and military occupation of Biafra land to kill southern and Igbo officers in the Police. The Igbo counterparts in the army are sent to the north and their location leaked to Boko Haram to ambush and eliminate them. They are doing these because they believe the Igbo and other Biafrans in the Nigerian army or Police would form the backbone of a Biafran army when its formed. Again what makes you understand that these things are well-planned actions to checkmate the future of this struggle is when you notice that the British army is now teaching Nigerian army how to overcome improvised explosive devices (IEDs)! When none has been used so far in this struggle. So you can clearly see that the tactics is to take out their trained personnel and they will depend on IEDs and asymmetric warfare to survive. |
tungamaje:This is just the beginning. Umahi is dinning with the devil. Let him continue fooling himself and wasting the precious lives of his people. If Fulanis kill people for merely asking them to leave their farms. Imagine what they would do once you officially give them Ebonyi land as their own and call it RUGA? They will simply continue to expand the land and exterminate all citizens of Ebonyi state within 10 years. |
These things MUST stop in this country. Fulani and their Miyetti Allah have crossed the line. |
Emergingnation:Chai, E'yaa... see Umahi crying. I guess you will be the first person to learn that Fulani does not view betrayal of friendship as anything major. Its part of the culture called Takiya. Anyhow, now that you have learned the Afonja lessons the hard way, hope you begin to protect your people, else there will be nobody left to console you after the Fulani betrays you on your elusive 2023 presidential ambition. descarado:Gbam! The reason I HATE NIGERIA is that its people have been conditioned to see any good thing in any part of the country that is not their village as something that should be run down and destroyed. That is why Nigeria will NEVER develop because even its people (NOT JUST THEIR EVIL POLITICIANS) are mentally conditioned against development in Nigeria. Once they think its not their state. They forget that there is no way Nigeria can ever be developed if one part of it lacks facilities and their people are forced to seek basic facilities in other places. An average Nigerian does not get this basic principle of nationhood, therefore there is no need pretending that Nigeria can ever be a nation. It's people are already poisoned! |
Apart from aggressively pursuing agricultural transformation and agro-based industrial clusters set up in Abakaliki and Afikpo areas, Ebonyi must develop its natural tourist potentials into a revenue driver. Ebonyi is perhaps the only southeast state with a massive river beach at Ndibe and Uwana in Afikpo area of the state. There is need to develop the beach into a holiday resort location. The state can take the lead by building a 5 star resort hotel in the area and encourage private investors to do same. If they introduce several water sport activities such as boat riding, water parks with water slides, beach volleyball, ferry voyages etc, it will be a favorite holiday destination for honeymoon and tourists who want to enjoy nature. Ebonyi needs to also invest in high quality, worldclass hotels around Ndibe beach to drive massive tourism and travel to Ebonyi as the tourism capital of southern Nigeria. The presence of Ebonyi international airport within an hour's drive from these locations will assure steady flow of tourists from far and near places. I hope the Ebonyi state government finds a way to upgrade its present hotel near Ndibe beach or build an entirely new one with all the modern design and amenities to meet an international standard holiday destination to drive tourism and traffic at the Ebonyi international airport. Not to mention that this will dramatically boost the economy and development of Afikpo and the entire state.

AmericanQuarter:Great 3D design of terminal and car park. I don't know if a car park on the right side of the terminal building and just along the apron is a wise location considering that the airport will grow. building things along the path where the expansion of the terminal building will amount to waste of funds when those structures are destroyed so the terminal building could be expanded. Aprons are not just mere concrete floor. It costs A LOT OF MONEY to build aprons, that is why many airports reserve the areas around their aprons for terminal building expansion and place their car parks behind the terminal building as in the design below. One hopes that they steer clear of the apron so that growth of the airport and building on new terminals will not create chaos in the operation of the airport when parking lots are scraped off and there is no more parking space within the airport. All these disruptions can be avoided now if they bear in mind ROOM FOR EXPANSION WITHOUT DISRUPTION OF AIRPORT OPERATIONS. Meanwhile, i hope they have chosen a good site near the industrial borehole area to erect the central over-head water tanks tower that will supply the entire airport with water. Something similar to what AMC central water supply in the picture below could be able to work for the entire airport if its at least 5 floors high. I think an innovative approach should be used for location of the control tower toilet so that water could get to it. Perhaps, it might be easier to just build the toilet behind the control tower if there is no solution to building a toilet inside due to the height of the tower. I hope they remember that a second or 3rd terminal will naturally be a linear structure along the current apron. So they should not build things along the side of the apron to avoid demolitions when the terminal building begins to be expanded.

To refresh the mask. ![]() I looks like people are being able to spot the difference between the true likeness of Buhari and the mask. Someday the truth about the identity of the man impersonating Buhari will be out. |
PROUDIGBO:Once the airport becomes operational with international passengers and cargo haulage, then a terminal 2 will naturally become a pressing need. The current terminal can then be for domestic flights only, while terminal 2 will be for international flights. Obiano's consultants and Commissioner Marcel Ifejiofor did a great job ensuring the specification of the airport runway can handle a fully loaded B747 or A380 planes. It'll be great to see these types of airplanes below land there. Right now, only Lagos, Abuja and Kano have runways which are thick and long enough for these types of heavy planes to land. Obiano has done extremely well to give Anambra International airport the capacity to handle these types of airplanes.
|
AlaIgboRepublic:I agree with your submission that it should not be handed over to any tier of government in Nigeria. But after a few years of operation, it will be more efficient to concession it to a proven international airport operator. Worldwide, it has been proven that governments cannot run airports efficiently. Even in the developed countries with little public officials corruption, not to talk about Nigerian governments. You cannot trust that you will continue to have wise state governors or efficient commissioners of works. Therefore, if the airport is concessioned to an internationally reputable organization, with a very strong contract that will clearly stipulate that they continue to invest a fixed percentage of the profit to grow the airport and update infrastructure at the facility, then you can be assured that the airport will be well maintained and will continue to grow in leaps and bounds into the future. |
custainmowole:This statement alone will make some people cry for 5 hours today and crawl here like a night owl to rant rubbish ![]() God bless Obiano for removing the shame of Anambra being the only state with its size of economy without direct access by air! The fact they can't dismiss Anambra again as a village enclave that cannot be accessed by air pains many people! ![]() |
cjrane:I totally agree with your submission. Especially on the use of a reputable real-estate company to develop an aerotropolis of the future. Strong oversight of that project is required becasue even Abuja master plan is often violated, talkmore leaving the development of the airport city without a strong oversight agency to ensure strict adherance to the development plan. |
custainmowole:My hope is that they don't drop the ball on the Anambra airport city project. I hope they will find a credible real estate investor similar to NPI infrastructure or Rotech Energy with proven track records in high quality projects nationwide, to become the core investor in the Anambra airport city project. There must be a clause that allows the state to kick out the investor id the land is misused or project becomes unduly delayed in kicking off or completion. To avoid an ugly situation of signing off that high value area to a 419 gig like they did for the Onitsha hotel. Where the dude promised to deliver and absconded soon after. Utmost caution must be taken to ensure quality world-class development of a true airport city around the place. Than allowing vicious land speculators to build hundreds of face me i face you, and thousands of ugly lock up shops to convert the area into another market. Meanwhile, enjoy the full video of the NCAA Director General's visit below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDpefCEGlBg&t=5s |
Rocksvibes234:It is obvious that Obiano imbibes to the best practices worldwide. Even opting for the expensive specialized airport fire trucks (The Striker) instead of the cheap and readily available fire trucks. I truly give Obiano the respect for insisting on the very best in the aviation world for this airport. Many Nigerian state governors will simply buy a used fire truck that will not be able to fight a true plane crash fire. Thus, people will die from "saving" money by cutting corners. A video of the capabilities of these specialized airport fire trucks will shows this is a beast of a machine! The last video is how these trucks saved a Boeing 737 from being engulfed in flames and thus saving hundreds of people onboard. Not to mention that the aircraft itself was also saved by these awesome specialized fire fighting trucks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBvzlEbbDts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Oz4aX835To https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QytpE2lZmQ&t=107s

gidgiddy:It is clear these are NOT unknown gun men. These are innocent Igbo youths simply killed by Fulani army to show they have power to kill people. The unknown gunmen usually dress in black wearing boot etc. What i see now is a revenge on Fulani communities due to the killings of innocent Igbo youths by Fulani army. We are gradually entering the phase of ethnic reprisals. |
3pointsagree:I am sure if the high quality and international standard being pursued in every aspect of the airport, Embraer could eventually be convinced to build an MRO in Nigeria there. My plea is that since the Governor said last week that all constructions on the Runway will be completed in about 8 days, i hope they really take their time to mark the runway, taxiway and tarmac to international standards. I trust Engr. Marcel Ifejiofor. He seems to be a bullish type of guy that means to do everything to international standards once he puts his mind to it. With the length of this runway and all the money spent on it, only world class runway markings should be accepted. I heard that ILS will be placed on both ends of the runway. While that is commendable, i think it would be best to have ILS only on Runway 24 for now. Just because of how much it costs to set up a Category 2 ILS on just one runway alone. A ton of money still needs to be spent on other priorities needed in getting the facility functional this year. There is still A LOT of aeronautical equipment to be purchased, Industrial boreholes with very high overhead tanks to adequately serve both the terminal and Fire station, the airport gate and car park, access roads within the airport etc. On the last floor ceiling design, i hope they get it right. Although many modern airports leave their iron roofs steel structure as part of the modern "Space Age designs", without covering it up with a ceiling, I hope they will paint the steel bars and the steel roofing sheet white color on the inside, or a bright color to enhance illumination and make sure that the bars are the same color as the roofing sheet in the interior. This will make the last floor roof to be aesthetically pleasing if it blends well in the same color with the steel bars. Like similar modern airports roof pictures below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrrL92AH23A&t=43s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSl8iIpeHEk

Fixated on oil producing states that were given only 13%! WHY NOT PUBLISH HOW MUCH THE GOLD PRODUCING STATE KEPT TO ITSELF? (100% OF THE INCOME FROM GOLD!) |
Yemike:There is no way an untrained "civilian" will engage the Police in a shoot out and kill the Police while get away without a scratch. This shows that it is the Nigerian army special forces that are going around shooting these police officers. In that case, the Federal government and Fulani warlords in our security systems in Nigeria are doing these to set up a situation for their evil agenda. The mindless way that Igbo low ranking police officers are killed clearly shows that these are Fulani We DEMAND FBI involvement in the thorough investigation of these shootings to bring the real culprits to book. |
jbbalarabe:Fake crap and silly agenda! Why add this state to the southeast, and keep their kith and Kin in Rivers state? If your aim of adding Anioma state to southeast is to bring all Igbo clans into the southeast, then add Port Harcourt state which is part of your Orashi state with Port Harcourt as the capital. In that way, you keep all of them in the Port Harcourt state against balkanizing them and keeping half in SE and the other half in SS? Your agenda is DOA because your single strategy is to continue your agenda of divide and rule, and continue the narrative that Igboland is landlocked because you have again carved the parts of Igboland near the sea to other regions. |
Trying so hard to create unknown Fualni groups to take the blame away from the culprit; the Miyetti Allah terrorists! |
mktinsight:If you had come out clean from the star to say I'm from Enugu and i'm against an airport in Anambra because i think Anambra airport will adversely affect my state's airport. It would have been understandable to many. But because you decided to throw silly and unfounded arguments thinking you were being smart by half, everyone in this forum truly think you are a mad person. Now let me remind you that when Owerri airport was being built in the 1990s, the same fears you have now about it killing Enugu airport was expressed. Year later, we now know that fear was unfounded. Likewise when Asaba airport was being built, the same fears that it would kill Owerri airport was peddled. Well, again after these years, we now know that fear was also baseless. Some people like you even said if Anambra and Ebonyi states were created, Enugu would stop developing and become a village. Again such silly mindset were found to be baseless. Owerri and Enugu airports have continued to increase in passenger volume since Asaba became operational, just as Enugu has continued to develop even with the presence of Awka and Abakaliki as state capitals. What people like you always fail to consider is that the economy and population ALWAYS GROWS and its not stagnant. What that means is that if Owerri airport had not been built, 90% of the people taking flights from Owerri to Abuja or Lagos would rather take a bus instead of the grueling 3 - 4 hours road trip to Enugu or Port Harcourt and then wait another 2 hours at the airport for the flight. They will be lucky if its not delayed or canceled. In effect, an airport being in Enugu with very terrible roads between Owerri and Enugu will not make them decide to fly. Human beings are rational animals, that is why your assessment is poor because you think people will do the same thing no matter the condition. Take a survey of people using Owerri airport today and ask them if they had used Enugu airport in the past when there was no airport in Owerri. An overwhelming majority will tell you they go via bus from Lagos to Owerri eachtime. They only fly now because there is an airport in Owerri. Meaning, Enugu will always have most of its passengers and the new area will build new clientele of people that will now decide it makes sense to fly and take a taxi home. Than travel another 4 hours after a flight. The reason Nigeria has never worked and will never work is precisely your mindset. That a whole country should have only one sea port, only one or two international airport, only one central police force, only one central government can build railways, electricity plants or even universities as they did until 1980! Imagine if you would have water in your house now if they passed their water resources bill to put the right to even drill borehole or get water at all into your home in the hands of the federal government! Back to the point, population determines how many airport should be adequate for an area. In fact many CITIES in the world with a population of up to 5 or 10 million have upwards of 3 - 5 airports! Do the research and find out. Now, the southeast region of Nigeria is about 29,000 sqKM with at least greater 35 million people living in it. If it were a country, it would be more populated than a country like Peru. Yet, for a population of 31 million people, Peru had 5 international airports and 60 domestic airports functioning at full capacity. Peru is not a rich country. Most people in southeast Nigeria have a higher standard of living than Peruvians. Your fears that Anambra airport will cause a slow down of Enugu is totally unfounded. Especially if they ply different destinations internationally. Creating competition is how serious countries develop. Nigeria loves inefficiency from creating monopolies precisely out of tribalism and primordial considerations. That is why Nigerians who leave the shores of Nigeria excel because at home the government ensures that nothing is allowed to function the way it should. Nigeria is the type of country where they have 50 students in a classroom, but instead of making sure the classroom has 50 seats, they will deliberately allow only 10 seats in the classroom. So that all sorts of corruption and vice will thrive among the students scheming how to capture a seat than how to learn. I truly don't think you are Igbo because an average Igboman is not afraid of competition. But if you are indeed from Enugu state, then you are a disgrace to the great people of Enugu state.

Rocksvibes234:Hopefully work is already going on for the two industrial boreholes to serve the terminal and the Fire Station. So that from day one when the airport is opened, it has water in the urinals and toilets to flush it and keep it clean always. |
cjrane:Nwanne, looks like you have such an eagle eye to perfectly align the runway based on the cardinal points. It appears the final runway number as assessed on the ground is 06 - 24 (L.R). Thank you for participating in this academic scientific guess work just using satellite coordinates. Well done! |
MysteryShopper:This is fabulous!! |
Lol...you guys are too funny. ![]() I just saw that witch hanging around and watching the thread in severe pains! ![]() Since Mystery Shopper has already posted the pictures on this page to torment him, I will just post more of the terminal that seems to be the new thing giving him heartburn. He started with lamentations on the runway, saying it was too short. Then he went to the tower, now he is at the terminal. Soon he will be talking about our ILS Category 2, night landing lights, top notch navigational equipment, beautiful bluish-tint glass tidings all over the terminal building and the control tower. Then he will switch to the parking lot, water supply systems, Covid compliant toilets and air dryers in the bathrooms, at least 2 INNOSON fire trucks, generator house, airport gate house, aero bridges and general exquisitely beautiful inside of the terminal building itself. Then he will complain when we begin landscaping with flowers and trees along the airport entrance roads to the parking lot , and grassing the open areas around the runway and taxiways. I am truly concerned about his mental health because he will soon be complaining out loud in his dreams as this airport becomes one of the best in Africa.

Rocksvibes234:Wow! this is great!! You just made my day! |
Pass11:Without sounding immodest, if they sell you and sell your entire village, they still won't reach my worth or how much money I have made so far. This is not being boastful, this is a straight bare fact. Yes, social media is an anonymous forum, so you can say what you like to distract the valid issues raised. I have said it before, neither Obiano nor Peter Obi can buy me. I know for a fact that i am 50 times richer than Obiano. At least before he ran for governor. Both his properties here in Texas and Aguleri. I am here to objectively contribute to the progress of Anambra and Igboland in general. If you go through my posts, you will see that i have supported Peter Obi in what he did right and lashed at what he did wrong. The same goes for Obiano. I am not afraid of speaking the truth based on the facts as I see it. Obiano or Peter Obi don't have enough money to change my opinion. Your opinion about Obiano is your personal problem. I know most of you are gathering for one useless candidate and therefore your stock in trade is to say Obiano has not done anything and all those idiotic blah blah blah. That is truly your problem and does not bother me. The main reason for my last post was that i cannot understand why you people hate Anambra people. Its just baffles me. I read what Ohaozara said and it reminded me about how i left Nigeria as a medical officer. I shared a little bit of my own rude awakening on this issue when i was in Nigeria. Even after so many years, it is still happening WHY?? What did we do to you guys? |
Helenawilliam:Not just that he is NOT bold but a silly scallywag, he is very UGLY! ![]() See lagosian! ![]() Not only lagosian, but abiasian! ![]() |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7Y5rO3XHgc Not withstanding the testimonies of top government officials, i was more interested in the testimonies of the common Anambra workers (From 51:30) Indeed, how many Southeast governors will their workers eulogize as paying them salaries regularly for the entire period they were governor? How many governors in oil rich Soutsouth states can their workers say this about them? I have noticed that those online touts trying in vain to tarnish the name of Obiano are indeed foreigners and non-Anambra people. My guess why they embark on such negative behavior is as good as yours. They are jealous of Anambra's progress from arguably the worst state in Nigeria about 15 years ago, to about the best and most progressive state in Nigeria today. On top of it, they deeply 'hate" Anambra people as some of them have already explicitly stated here. So it should not surprise anyone why they gather to mock the airport in Anambra as "Audio project", but praise the one in Abakaliki that has not even done a control tower talk more the stone base of the runway as an authentic project! That is why Anambra doctors are denied housemanship position in Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki, but Ebonyi doctors are even Head of Departments at NAUTH, Nnewi and COOUTH, Awka. Not to mention many Ebonyi house officers, nurses and janitors working in both hospitals. Yet, Anambra people are bluntly told they cannot be employed at any level in a hospital in Ebonyi state! You pipul see all these discriminations happening in Ebonyi state, and you justify it instead of condemning it. However, if Anambra has a public policy that no Ebonyi person will ever be a civil servant in Anambra or teach in any Anambra school, you all will say its wicked. But, you won't find your voice when Ebonyi enforces these wicked state-backed policies against Anambra people living in Ebonyi. I guess I'm particularly sensitive about this issue because I was severally denied a job at Ebonyi state University Teaching hospital, Abakaliki before I finally traveled abroad. For 2 and half years, I couldn't get any internship in any of these Southeast state teaching hospitals without going to Abuja to get Minister's letter or paying heavy bribes! After the third interview, a family friend took me to the EBSUTH CMAC's house in Abakaliki and he told us point blank that even if he took my "gifts" and added my name, it would still be struck off the list because I was from Anambra! Mind you this isn't even a permanent job, its simply 12 months housemanship!! I was thankful he didn't take my "bribe" money and was very candid with me how things were, but it was such a painful experience for me then. So i can imagine what medical graduates still go through just because of their state of origin! After all these years in America, I was never subjected to such blatant discrimination. Even as a foreigner! That is why I intensely hate Nigeria, and i fear these evil practices Igbos have already learnt from being in Nigeria will not be brought into a new nation. God forbid we have such evil discrimination against fellow citizens in Biafra! |
It feels so good when your people say; Kai, you go and get the useless Nigerians money, and bring it to develop your homeland Niger Republic! |
