9jathingsonpoint:Lol... at claiming Warri as yorubaland ![]() They are looking for oil lol... They won't take Benin, even because they have no oil in Benin. ![]() |
IGBOSON1:This is truly great! Kudos to Governor Dave Umahi in delivering high quality projects. Very Importantly, I hope he already put a mini-fire station with borehole dedicated to the fire station inside that market. Else, a mysterious fire will break out a few months from now and burn down the entire edifice. |
What Stan Eke said is so critically important in the jobs of the future. The curriculum the British left us and still being used today is merely to produce English teachers and low cadre manpower. India, China etc have since established ICT schools and produced thousands of IT engineers that can write computer programming codes. We need at least ONE of that school in the Southeast. I hope Obiano does not treat the suggestion as one of the numerous endless talk-shows African government organize which nothing ever comes out of them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tp0pvRTE89k |
America loves to molest African business men. But it's okay. I knew when that guy cancelled his Boeing Max 8 orders and chose the Brazilian Embrayer jets, he was stoking American venom. They typically think blacks whether they are Americans or Africans cannot or shouldn't own multinational businesses unless it's fraud. Allen should not be intimidated. He should quietly show them the documents for his funds transfer and then seek redress for the damage done to his personality and business. |
I am particularly interested in the rebirth of Aba, the great enyimba city. Without Aba being functional and a solid center for innovation and industry, we can draw an analogy of Igboland as a beautifully painted car without an engine. We must all join hands to condemn those responsible for the decay of Aba and demand a concrete urban renewal strategy to reconstruct the city roads, drainages and markets. |
Only Aba has refused to modernize and develop Ironically, Aba used to be the most advanced and developed city in the east!!! How did Aba fall from it's height of glory to the gory state we find it today?? God punish: Orji Uzor Kalu Theordore Orji and Okezie Ikpeazu! |
FFK is indeed a prophet. I encourage us to listen to his speech. But above everything, i know these predictions he mentioned are now inevitable. So, let this video be handy for those liars that will say they were never warned to save Nigeria before people decide to fight like men against their ancient agenda. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hI4JHy8o0b4 |

MY ONLY REGRET IS IF THIS PLAN IS BASED ON COPYING SOME UNPLANNED, FAILED AFRICAN OR NIGERIAN CITY LIKE LAGOS. NIGERIANS ALWAYS COPY AND REINFORCE FAILURES, TO MAKE ALL NIGERIAN CITIES LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME UNPLEASANT, ROUGH MESS. A blend mixture of Gaborone model, Kigali and Durban will be nice.

ANSMEDIA:Yes, even when land is acquired, people will often continue farming on it until the project actually starts. Nobody believed this Umueri airport project will ever start or was any serious economic project except as a good way of playing politics. I am still thinking the people that will be using the Umueri airport if the Asaba Intl. becomes concessioned and a fully functional international airport with international airlines going there. Yes, I would want us to have our own international airport, but it appears we had waited too long after the Oba airport debacle and now people have positioned international airports close to Onitsha that it will make it difficult for two major international airports to survive within 15 nautical miles of eachother. Add that to the cluelessness of our people who would still prefer to land in Lagos or Abuja and then take a grueling 10 hour dangerous bus trip to the Southeast just because that's how it was done in the 1980s Let us carefully articulate the role of Umueri International airport (i.e: Aviation fuel depot, cargo haulage etc) This will help in knowing the mass of land required and the type of infrastructure it must have to even attract international airlines. I say this because effort is being made for international airlines to begin landing in Asaba. For most international airlines from Europe, Asia or Ameriacas, landing in Asaba, Umueri, Enugu,Owerri and even Port Harcourt is the same catchment area of passengers because they are within 300KM of eachother. In reality, either Asaba international will finally become non-functional or the Umueri airport will simply be a white elephant project. All these would depend if they build it to such world class standard that no international airline would choose to land in Asaba than Umueri because the facilities are top notch international standard. To achieve that level of sophistication, A LOT of money will be required to build the Umueri airport. All is left to be seen. |
Anambralstson:Just like 200 SUVs were purchased for federal security agencies, Anambra state government now need to purchase a lot of fire fighting trucks and garbage disposal vehicles from INNOSON. Every major city in Anambra needs at least 2 functional fire service stations. Every market needs at least one fire truck with a borehole at a strategic location. Major markets like Onitsha main market, Nkwo nnewi main market, Eke Awka market, Nkpor building materials and motor parts market all need 2 fire trucks situated at a site with functional borehole to guarantee easy access to water. Anambra state government can enter a maintenance agreement with INNOSON to help them maintain the vehicles for 5 to 6 years.

ursullalinda:Seriously, Nigeria needs a military coup. The miltary had struck for less grievous reasons in the past. Nigeria is truly sliding. So now, we cannot elect people we want unless Aso rock approves it? |
Some people are now using petrol tankers as weapons of terror against their perceived southern enemies. If these "petrol tankers explosion had been happening in Katsina, Kano or Kaduna, you will see the Federal Government quickly come out with measures to mitigate it. But, since they know those responsible for using this weapon, they are gravely silent about it. Well, RIP to the dead southerners in the kwantri called Nigeria |
[s] hisexcellency34:[/s] So if FG says "Yes, i promise i will not arrest him, then NK will believe them and get on an airplane and come to Nigeria? Abeg, my people, why are we so naive?? |
IGBOSON1:Oga m, You are right about creating parks. My take on this is that it's not a bad thing if we re-conceptualize Enugu as new emerging mega city with new borders stretching from 9th mile to Esut junction on PH expressway. If you imagine a bigger city, then you can insert huge public parks within this land space and it will very well serve the city. Although we fail to see that the city is developing from all it's fringes and not planning, it does not stop the ongoing expansion of the city anyways. Not too long ago, we didn't consider Abakpa, Emene or Independence Layout Phase II as part of Enugu. Today, it is clear that those areas are well within the larger Enugu metropolis. So, we can continue thinking of Enugu an starting from New Haven to Asata and killing ourselves with the headache of how to fit everything within there, it doesn't stop the reality that today's Enugu now stretches from Emene to Ituku ozalla.

AmericanQuarter:Just like they wanted to do operation python dance 4 in the southeast and when Ohaneze protested publicly that the region was peaceful and didn't need further military deployments, they suddenly switched to saying they will deploy nationally and start operations in every region. However, everyone knows they are only eager to do python dance in the southeast and crocodile smile in the southsouth. For electricity allocation in Nigeria, southeast gets the tiniest allocation, but pays more than double what other DISCOS pay to FG for electricity. Ofcourse, the tax will be "implemented nationally", but we already know who the focus of taxation is in Nigeria. However, when it comes to sharing revenue, the same people that pay the highest taxes will get the tiniest share. |
AmericanQuarter: This is NOT a good idea ! The Buhari federal Government will use this information to tax individuals and the little private companies managing to stay afloat in the Southeast to death! Why have they not implemented such for Kano and Kaduna? Our people are yet to understand the deceit tactics being used against them. The same warning i issued in the Enugu thread when they were clamoring on the so called "deficiencies" at the Akanu Ibiam Intl. airport that they wanted to close the airport briefly and fix it. I said then that it was a tactics to find a reason to close down the airport, divert traffic away from it and they will simply "forget" the issues they said they will fix. The airport will remain indefinitely closed for so long and when it finally open, it may never get it's international airline and traffic back. We should learn & understand the tactics of the enemy and not being so gullible that they will help us fix anything in our region. |
Blacknight28: Actually for a third world country that can't manufacture even bullets talkmore of feeding itself, America will not even deploy it's forces. America will deploy just a single gunship that will destroy any ship in Nigeria's territorial waters and keep destroying every military installation from Bonny to Katsina. Nigeria has no answer or guided surface to air missile needed to shoot this aircraft down. So a single gunship or A10 Warthog will simply continue to fly over our airspace until una beg them to stop America needs only 2 pilots in one AC 130 attack gunship and the entire Nigerian armed forces will crumble under it because they simply have no answer to this type of aircraft. Even a small A10 warthog will destroy all our so called armored tank division within 2 days. Ask Saddam what an A10 can do to a tank division ![]()

ANSMEDIA:My borther, I fervently hope you are right and Obiano would do what it takes to land the first plane there under his watch. If he thinks he can leave it even 99% completed and the next regime would complete it for him, then he better wakes up. We are all witnesses to the almost 90% completed Enugu International Conference edifice that has been abandoned for more than 15 years now. If Chimaroke had managed to complete it like he completed ESUT teaching hospital and ESUT, the edifice would have been in use today and all the money spent on it to bring it to 90% completion would not have been wasted. Obiano should know that if that airport isn't completed under his watch, he can be guaranteed that it would be an abandoned project forever, just like the Oba airport. Whether he spent N6 billion or N60 billion would be immaterial if he does not complete it. It would simply be another abandoned N6 billion or N60 billion waste. I truly hope he understands that fact. |
ANSMEDIA:Unless Obiano somehow finds how to fund that airport project and simply scale it down to a level of perhaps Port Harcourt Intl airport, i see another abandoned white elephant project as soon as he leaves office. It is just another Oba airport project loading, and another potential massive gully erosion site after they have cleared the vegetation and abandoned the project for lack of funds. Some of us concerned about this airport project is because we know it might be way too big for Anambra State government to fund without significant borrowing , which will then ruin the economy of the state. |
I don't really like solar street lights. They are waaay too dim because solar energy on one panel is actually not enough electricity to power a bright light. But, it's better than nothing. However, more importantly, they can help improve the traffic situation by installing solar panel traffic lights at busy intersections / road junctions. These will help reduce traffic jams if offenders are apprehended and fined.

If only the will learn to keep these people in jail until they pay a bail out fee of N750,000 naira each. That way they will desist from trying to steal from the government. Unless people trying to make money illegally are made to pay heavy fines or they should rot in jail, nothing but monetary fines can deter them |
tartar9: There is NOTHING scientific about Nigerian data. The world has since noticed that Nigeria does not respect the sanctity of data and filled with childish manipulations to suit the politicians in power, so no number from Nigeria is ever quoted in any scientific document anywhere. Even novelists don't quote Nigeria's data ![]() |
More importantly, At night they should be escorted. Not all fuel tankers are on terror mission. But it is abundantly clear that some people have started using petrol tankers as terror weapons. A profile of who supplies fuel to the filling stations and the drivers should be watched. |
emilas1979:The sad thing is that most of the illegal tax collectors are fake. BUT I TOTALLY SUPPORT PAYMENT OF TAXES BY EVERY LAW ABIDING CITIZEN! However, traders MUST learn to pay taxes and then demand better conditions as tarred roads, improved sanitation, boreholes with water dispensing taps at various points around the market etc! Even saying we have to build mini-fire service stations in every major markets to safeguard your goods from going up in flames due to the determination of some Futa Jalon people to burn down your markets down with fuel tankers can only be done through your payment of taxes! |
AntiBalaka:@ the bolded, You already know the op is one of those northern planted hatchet writers bent on writing rubbish. They pretend to reason through the anus, but if Obasanjo sought a federal job today in Nigeria, they will quickly identify him as a Yoruba southerner! ![]() Let him answer if Obasanjo was a northerner. |
Great! The next is to distribute them at least 4 in each of the modular fire stations especially those around the markets and major cities being targeted by these tanker drivers from "Futa jalon: Sudan" |
[s] Despirado121:[/s] Silly Deceit! ![]() Why didn't you show us the recipient? Instead you show pictures of other returnees stepping down from the plane? |
They should dash the houses to our politicians. Afterall, they were never built for ordinary Nigerians |
IGBOSON1:My brother, The reason the so called opening of the drains does not get any applause from me is that it's merely eye service. If they truly want the situation not to repeat in a few days, they would immediately remove the sand they always leave at the edge of the gutter praying for the next rainfall to wash it back into the gutter and return to square one. It's simply senseless to heap trash & sand beside the gutter each time they conduct these so called gutter "cleaning exercises", and miraculously hope the rubbish will not flow back into the gutter at the next rain fall. Most times if flows back the very same day when it rains at night thereby nullifying their so called work done during the day.

Anambralstson:The tragedy of this list is Abia State! A state that should naturally have ranked among the top 3 is today nowhere to be found! Chai, Orji Uzor Kalu and Theodore Orji have murdered ABIA state!!!
|
Actually, most of the victims of the disaster are not even from Anambra. However, Anambra is one of the states in Nigeria where people are not discriminated upon because they are from another state. Foreigners are employed as government staff, pay same school fees as Anambra people and have the same opportunity to trade as the citizens. |
