This issue of a tribe using the instrument of the Federal Government of Nigeria to target and eliminate any major business owned by Igbo people must be addressed.

Every business owned by Fulani overlords in Nigeria receive all sorts of Federal Government tax waivers, special hard currency allocation at below market rates and all sorts of policies to give them unfair advantage in the market. Why can't such government incentives be extended to businesses owned by other Nigerians? Or at the minimum, allow them to operate peacefully without using the Federal Government agencies to harass and extort massive bribes from them just to be allowed to do business in their own country?
PoliticsRe: Danjuma: If I Talk About Nigeria, Nobody Will Sleep Again by ChimaAdeoye:
There is nothing going on EXCEPT that the FULANIs are using the Buhari Presidency to kill other tribes and annex other peoples territories.

I beg Nigerians especially southerners to brace up NOW for an impeding war with Fulanis. Unless we take this warning seriously and make proper arrangements, Fulanis will invade without warning and defeat us in this war they have been planning for decades.

The Fulani are barely up to 20 million in population and they know they cannot defeat any major tribe in an open war even if they have the backing of the Federal Government army. Their trump card to use deceit and surprise to attacks one the various tribes one by one, and use element of surprise to catch these tribes totally defenseless.

Great to see they are doing roads and building before admitting students.

One hopes they will also take landscaping very seriously. The place needs more than 1,000 trees and lots of flowers to make it look like a serene and conducive learning environment. Hopefully, this isn't another of those shabby projects completed with proper landscaping and trees in the environment

Why can't the Anambra and Delta state governments ban security men on both ends of this bridge until after the yuletide season?

You are just confusing yourself. Ok lets face it, Abia state is owing workers several months arrears, Abia state have the worst roads in Nigeria, Abia state has failed in almost all facets. Abia state has high debt, what did the state do with all those debts? Nothing. Everyone knows that Abia state is the worst state in Nigeria.

There has not been any signature infrastructure done in Abia state since 1999. Our leaders in Abia state looted everything and left the state empty with backwardness.

Do you know the volume of infrastructures these monies could deliver for Abia state?
I am so thankful to God that all those that contributed in ruining Abia state through mindless looting will be made to refund the money or go to jail. All their thievery and high crimes against the good people of Abia state will not go unpunished.

Their mindless looting reduced Abia from the height of a leading state in industrialization and development to one of the worst states in Nigeria. It is almost unreal to understand how Abia which used to be far more developed and richer than a state like Anambra in the 1990s, does not even compare with Anambra at all in every index of development today!

One by one, they will vomit all the massive loot they swallowed from Abia State.

I found this website and want to share it with you: https://stopafricom.online

To some AFRICOM may mean very little, even nothing at all. To others this largely innocent abbreviation means a world of violence, massacre and suffering. Suffering of the innocent who will never voice their own concern. You would ask why not. The answer is crystal clear. It is because they are all dead.
The African Command policies is resulting in the deaths of hundreds and thousands of civilians and bring ever-lasting pain to their families who do not have enough power and exposure to make the world aware. These deaths go unnoticed because every effort is made to silence those speaking to the wider public.
The actions by AFRICOM undermine the stability in the region as they promote violence and devastation by continuously waging war in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Congo, Djibouti, Libya, Mali, Niger, Somalia just to name a few. The death and destruction has been present since in all of the countries mentioned above threatening the lives of more and more African people.
[/s]

I used to oppose AFRICOM out of ignorance of its mandate and suspicion of the US military. I have since come to realize that AFRICOM is the best thing the the USA has given AFrica so far.

Without the silent input from AFRICOM al-Shabab and Boko Haram will overrun many parts of African in collusion with the corrupt Islamic governments in the continent.

Without AFRICOM's support, most African military forces would be committing unspeakable human rights abuses without any fear for international law. Infact, if you look carefully at the pedigree of those opposing AFRICOM, you will realize they are either Islamic insurgents or roundly corrupt people that have contributed immensely to Africa's misery and poverty.

I think both of you are making equally good points. It should be the responsibility of both the property owners and the government.

Individuals should plant flowers in front of their properties but when it comes to public areas, it’s the responsibility of the local or state government.
GBAM! Thats exactly my point!

In public parks or in the median of major roads, it's government that should beautify those major roads, parks or hospitals. Side streets in front of people's houses, its the owners that should beautify the front of their house, even when it is outside their fence. If everyone was less selfish and did some landscaping outside their fence, Igboland cities will be transformed overnight to look like anywhere in the world . Waiting for government to come and beautify outside your fence because its technically a public space is silly.

If the same government didn't give you water and you had enough sense to dig your own borehole instead of waiting endlessly for them, they didn't give you electricity and you had enough sense to buy a generator or solar panels, then you can bet they will not beautify the environment for you! You should have enough sense to do it yourself. That is the how to survive in the failure we call a country - Nigeria!

This is not a matter of African Mindset. Go back and look at the pictures clearly, you will see the distance between the houses and the roads is much. The land bought by the owners of the houses does not include those areas close to the main road so why exactly should they be the ones to plant the trees there? Even the inner streets don't have tarred roads. Do you expect the house owners to start planting trees in a tight untarred street?
As I said earlier, this is not a matter of African mentality because Onitsha GRA has tree-lined streets. The government must be directly involved in other parts of Onitsha because this is the main road we are talking about here.
Exercise in futility. Another lame argument.

Oga, I am not arguing with you. Just keep waiting for Obiano to plant flowers and trees around and in front of your house. You will also wait for the next Governor and the next and the next. One day you will be waiting for President of Cameroon to come and plant flowers and trees for you.

Good houses but poor landscape. Red sand everywhere. A lot still needs to be done. The main difference between Ikoyi and Lekki in Lagos is cleanliness and tree planting in Ikoyi compared to Lekki. Obiano must start planting trees in Onitsha. All these bare lands filled with sand would have looked better if trees were planted there. See how the road is now looking like Ikorodu.
The worst mindset of Africans is that "GOVERNMENT" must do everything. Including sweeping their compound and planting trees and flowers for them.

Our people must change the mindset of building nice houses without any sort of landscaping with flowers and trees. It is partly a way i still differentiate houses built by stark illiterates who don't quite understand the importance of trees and flowers in having clean air, environmental aesthetics and the good health.

PoliticsRe: Bola Tinubu: The Drug Dealer Who Wants To Rule Nigeria by ChimaAdeoye: 5:55am On Dec 06, 2019
chizgold80:
The 2023 battle for the seat of the President, federal republic of Nigeria is definitely on, with various interests and persons across the country already justling for the number one seat. One of such persons is a frontline politician and the current leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Alh Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Bola Tinubu is, by all standards, an astute politician who's political cunning, bravery, and sacrifice in the 2015 political calculations, led to the defeat of a sitting President and the constitution of the present APC led federal government.

As a Nigerian, Tinubu has the inalienable right to contest for the seat of the president, having shown capacity to rule and groom young persons. However, at a time Nigerians are almost desperate for a leader with integrity and political will to extricate the country from the extreme hardship experienced across the country, one would naturally get curious if making a former drug lord the president is a wise choice for Nigeria.

For most persons, this political icon is known only for his political prowess during his time as the governor of Lagos state, when he confronted the then president Olusegun Obasanjo and the duo had a standoff that lasted several years. Consequently, Tinubu was able to build the Internally Generated Revenue base of the state enough to sustain itself and carryout development.

What most people don't know about the leader of the APC is that he is a convicted drug peddler who had to forfeit a fortune to the United States of America on conviction of drug related charges and escaped prison through a plea bargain.

According our investigation, the United State's District Court, Eastern District of Illinois, Eastern Division ordered the forfeiture of funds belonging to Alh Bola Ahmed Tinubu, held in nine different accounts in First Heritage Bank, Citi Bank NA and Citi Bank Int'l, in a case docketed and dated October 5th, 1993 after he was convicted of Narcotics trafficking.

Part of the document titled Decree of Forfeiture as to funds held by Heritage Bank, the court posited that, "the United States filed a verified complaint for forfeiture against the funds in the above-captioned defendant's accounts because there was probable cause to believe that the property represented the proceeds of Narcotics Trafficking or was property involved in financial transaction in violation of U.S.C. SS 1956 and 1957 and was therefore forfeitable to the United States, pursuant to 21 U.S.C. 5……".

Our investigation reveal that, the Nigerian born Don Corleone, decidedly, forfeited his entire fortune held in nine accounts with these banks in a plea bargain in order to escape prison, just six years before he was elected the executive governor of Lagos state.

As a Nation, Nigeria celebrates persons with political cunning but equally abhors persons with questionable characters, knowing that bad habits die hard.

The question now is that, has this drug Lord repented from his past, changed his ways to become new creation to be trusted with political leadership of a country?

His exploits in the APC and previously as the Lagos state governor offer a clue.

Drug lords rule and control their territory with ferocious viciousness and cruelty typical only in the animal kingdom. They believe more in survival of the fittest and elimination of the weak and competition, and pay little interests in constituted authority.

As the Lagos state governor, Tinubu turned the 'No Man's Land' to his personal empire, grooming his Lieutenants, expanding his coast to other Western states and confronting any discordant voices with cruel proclivity.

It is this sense of ownership that shut Lagos state out of federal allocation for years during his time as the state governor. The same sense of ownership played out again in the last general election, leading to the desertion of then governor Ambode who the Don allegedly felt was not subservient and loyal enough to continue as state governor in his empire.

While some persons may argue that this manifest sense ownership inspires development, the Nigerian experience with this present and previous administrations shows that those who claim ownership of the system, either as cabal or any other form do so for their personal aggrandizement at the detriment of the generality of the people.

It is therefore imperative that Nigerians understand clearly the kind of President Bola Tinubu would be based on his antecedents as a convicted drug peddler, a dictatorial governor, a Don Corleone- like godfather of Lagos politics, and the leader of the APC.

PoliticsRe: What Will Be Your First Strategy For A Better Nigeria? by ChimaAdeoye:
My strategy for a better Nigeria would be:

1. Create an external debt of $300 Billion dollars by borrowing from anywhere or any country for "special projects" only focused in my region

2. Make sure nobody can remove me or my anointed political godsons my appointing my trusted Nieces and Nephews as INEC Chairman and into sensitive INEC positions. Results of every election in Nigeria will now be approved by me before INEC announce the figures.

3. I will make sure i accumulate power by sacking the Chief Justice of Nigeria and installing my puppet

4. I will make sure i control the national assembly by installing the Senate President and Speaker, House of Reps.

5. I will make sure i use the army and EFCC to harass and intimidate anyone foolish enough to be in opposition to me

6. Intensify marginalization and removal of Igbos from governance of the country. Try to provoke a war with Igbos so my people will like me out of bigotry and tribalism.

7. Fight corruption by organizing "anti-corruption marches in Abuja" instead of actually jailing my friends indicted for corrupt enrichment.

8. I will arm my people into militias and ask them to murder people in another region, so that they will be forced to give up their land as grazing fields for them

9. I will direct World Bank, IMF AfDB and all multinational organizations that they must focus 100% of their developmental projects in my region or village.

10. I will make sure all the service chiefs, DSS staff and infact the total control of the Federal Government of Nigeria is with my tribe. I will make sure the other Nigerians cannot have any chance to change this without a war with my tribe.

My 10-point agenda plan might sound like nothing will change for the better , but
one President that promised to change Nigeria for better actually did worse better than the above

That's laughable
The two corpses were the innocent victims of police brutality on the Oraifite village. They were burnt by the policemen themselves to cover their extrajudicial killing of innocent villagers. Think of it, how will civilians have the firepower to kill policemen and still hang around to burn their vehicle without just escaping?? Everywhere police was killed in Nigeria, the perpetrators quickly escaped and did not stay there to burn their vehicle. Even Boko haram and Fulani milita overlords don't hang around to burn corpses. You clearly see the police coverup story doesn't make sense.

The people should begin to target the brothers of those trigger happy Boko Haram members in police uniform that go into Igbo villages on killing spree of innocent people. Just equalize the murder of innocent Igbo people on their brothers in your area.

There needs to be forensic examination of the charred remains to verify they were indeed Policemen and were supposed to be where they were found. For crying out loud, the police can kill their own to cover up the brewing conflagration they are stocking right now.

Already the community claim the Police killed about 20 people and took away the bodies. Some of which were burnt down with a police pickup. Anambra will easily over come any of those head wings, if they follow my advice now.

1). Complete that memorandum of understanding between one Anambra business man ( name forgetten) and a Chinese heavy equipment manufacturer, so as to have massive assembling of heavy equipments of all types here in Anambra state. Equipments/parts/maintenance as a component part of infrastructural projects constitute up to 90% cost of most of these projects.

2). 100% of all these projects must be in the hands of youths below the age of thirty and on a twenty four hour basis.

3). Innovative ways must be fashion out on a massive renting out of these equipments into the hands of youths at all time. I think GPSing these equipments will do the tricks.

This is simply how is done you all. There is no other way. In US, it has become a culture some what to see regular pick up trucks towing all manner of equipments either from home Depot or else where. Calculate machine work output per hour... and then calculate thousands of these machines in the hands of the youths.

Two notable things that often discourage investment in Anambra are:

1. Difficulty to acquire industrial land (Already solved by Obiano with land bank to investors)
2. Basic infrastructure such as roads and steady electric power supply

For the second obstacle, i don't know what is being done to address it.
We need to look for investors that will build mini gas powered power plants and distribute power in identified industrial estates.

If we make it very easy for businesses to come to Anambra and set up their manufacturing base, then the state will realize it's natural potential. To be clearer, only in Anambra north senatorial zone do we still have amble land to organize into industrial estates and agro-manufacturing clusters.

That is why i implore Obiano to make Aguleri, a city known as a hub for agro-industrial manufacturing / oil and gas industries by making land available around the city for industrial estates. Aguleri is naturally positioned to lead the industrial revolution from the northern part of the state and complement what is happening in the southern part of the state. Aguleri has the location advantage and landmass to make this happen. Not even because Obiano is from there.

I imagine these are some of the major issues keeping the airlines you mentioned away from AIIA till date. But above all, if the aviation authorities -and by extension, the fed' gov't- isn't interested in getting more int'l airlines to serve AIIA, then it ain't gonna happen no matter the amount and quality of upgraded facilities available!
My brother,

THANK God for Igbos who still reason without sentiment like you.

I often wonder if the quality of the Igbo intelligentsia reasoning have collectively depreciated over the years.

We know the Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika campaigned for most of Buhari's first term to shut Enugu Intl. airport down.

We were told that:
1. There were obstacles around the airport jeopardizing safety.
2. The runway was not good and was not up to the minimum 3.5 km.
3. The airport did not have night landing facilities and did not have a completed taxiway as a standard International airport
4. The international terminal building was still uncompleted. Thus the over crowding of the current domestic terminal.

Now that the airport has been closed down and Buhari graciously approved the whopping N10 billion naira requested to fix everything, we expect that the issues will be fixed once and for all. Not the promises of Mr A or Mr B.

The Minister might mean well, but all remain to be seen due to the type of toxic politics played with public facilities if they are located in Eastern Nigeria. Time shall tell if they were sincere or not.

To rehabilitate a runway of 3Km, without exrending it to standard 3.5 Km and no taxiway, costs N10 billion in Enugu and takes more than 8 months!

But to rehabilitate Abuja airport's 4 km runway, with entire taxiway aprons cost N4.3 billion in Abuja and took only 6 weeks to complete.

Go figure one Nigeria and EFCC not even paying attention to sloshing of public funds under cover of "we are rehabilitating Enugu international airport "
