I hope at least 90% of the roads are completed in the next 4 yrs. Roughly 800billion in 4 yrs translates to 200 billion naira per year. There might be a need to increase the yearly allocation and improved monitoring to get the jobs done. Most of the roads listed are work in progress to the best of my knowledge. |

Bamz: Isn't 'fair play' a tiebreaker? Cameroon would still have a poor goal difference even if they win by a goal, same goes for Chile. Not true. they currently have 1 goal scored and conceded 4. if they win by 1-0 , they will be on 2 goals scored and 4 goals conceded the same as Nigeria. If it comes down to fair play I dont think Nigeria has a better fair play than Cameroon at the moment , we have a red card, and about 7 yellow cards. If Cameroon wins by 2-1, it automatically will have more goals scored than Nigeria with same goal difference. Chile winning with any kind of 3 goal margin will also be better placed than Nigeria. At the moment, 6 teams still have a chance for the last two best loser spots(Nigeria, Argentina, Cameroon, Newzealand, Chile and Thailand) |

Bamz: The key match was Scotland v Argentina.
Lol, I think we are through. Cameroon v Nzl is likely to be a high-scoring draw like we witnessed tonight or a slender goal margin if at all a victor emerges.
Can Chile beat a porous Thailand? It's likely, and that could make them the 4th best 3rd team to go through. Never say Never. Even Thailand can still qualify as things stand. Should Cameroon win 1-0, we will both have same points and goal difference and fair play will be the decider, assuming Chile beats thailand by a three goals margin. A 2-1 win by Cameroon over NZL and 3goals margin win by Chile means Cameroon and Chile goes through. |

Rubbish analysis ! Scotland must not beat Argentina.A draw is the only favourable result. And the other 2 results. Thailand must beat chile or lose by not more than 2 goals margin. and finally New Zealand must win by 1-0, (no other type of win is good, not even 2-1) or at worst play a draw game. |

Lets hope chile and thailand ends with less than. 3 goals goal margin. And possibly argentina and scotland ends in a draw. Another hope is cameroon vs newzealand. Cameroon win with a goal margin or draw. Those are the three matches that will determine our destiny in the tournament. At least two out of the three possibilities will guarantee a place in the second round |

naijaman3: The statement in bold is not always true. If you plan your life properly you do not need to work more than 40hrs in a week to live decent and debt free life. With the correct residency status, people may have to work a lot of hours in a minimum wage job when they just arrive. With proper planning, they can eventually get a job in their profession and work only 40hrs a week. If you read the Op (@atutupoyoyo2211) post from start, you will see that this is what he is planning to do. He does not plan to stay in this kind of job for the rest if his life. Sadly, this type of opportunity is not available in Nigeria.
I have been trying to avoid talking about my own experience regarding @atutupoyoyo2211 approach because I am trying to protect my identity and also because if some people find it difficult to believe @atutupoyoyo2211 whose situation is very straight forward, how would they believe me. Without revealing too much about myself, I will at this point say a little to show what is possible with proper planning and prudent spending:
1. I came to Canada in 2001 with permanent residency visa (landed immigrant visa is what we called it then) 2. I worked in minimum wage job for one year at the same time trying to get my professional certification and register in my profession. 3. For the one year I was doing the minimum wage job, I was living and saving as I explained on page 11 here: https://www.nairaland.com/4857306/monthly-savings-canada/10#73854976 4. By early 2003, I got a job in my profession and started working only 40 hour a week because my salary back in 2003 was already 4 times what I was making while working minimum wage. 5. Two years later, in 2005 I bought my house with 20% down-payment. The down-payment was from all my savings from working minimum wage and 2 years of working in my profession. 6. I continued to live modestly and investing in the stock market (not just savings). This way I was able to fully pay my mortgage in 2015 which is 10 years after buying my house compared to others who spend recklessly and take between 25 to 30 years to pay off their mortgage. 7. Without being boastful, I can tell you that today (2018) I am a Millionaire in Dollars (in cash, stocks and other investments), my wife and I drive luxury SUV’s, we go on vacation with our kids twice a year (one trip within North America during the spring break in March/April and the second trip to anyone of either Europe or Asia or Nigeria when the kids are on summer vacation in July and August). 8. I have a lovely and supportive wife and amazing 3 kids that are making me proud and thankful to God daily. 9. All of the above do not include my wife’s savings and investment as she also works in her own profession. 10. I do not have any type of debt (no mortgage debt, no car debt, no credit card debt). I pay my credit card in full every month.
If the above is not fulfilling and living my Canadian dream, what else is it.
@atutupoyoyo2211: I hope you can learn one or two things from my write up above. Please continue doing your thing and do not be discouraged. I can see success in you. Please do not disappoint me.
Important: Please note that the above is applicable only if your status in Canada is legal (i.e. you have permanent residency or you are a citizen). Please do not plan to come to Canada with just a visitor visa and think you can easily make it like we are trying to explain here. As far as I am concerned planning to come here and make it on visitor visa is a suicide mission. You may end up making it but the chance is very slim and I do not encourage such move. Quite encouraging, I sincerely hope to surpass this in my pursuit of happiness. Your story gave me an inner strength much needed. I took my first step investing in the stock market yesterday. I am almost 2 yrs old as a PR in Canada |

festacman: How can a player who 'was sleeping' for most match while others defended and attacked be awarded "player of the match' for scoring just one goal when she is expected score many? Somebody who understands the rationale should please help me with an answer. she did her job as a striker..... She is not a defender..... Defending is her secondary role. We had like 33% ball possession and most of that ball possession was within our half.... There were very little moments we had the ball in the opponents 18...... She missed a very good chance, but she scored a much more difficult one.... The koreans had twice as much of ball possession, and almost twice as much of our connected passes....yet they lost...... Goal is everything. As to whether she deserves the man of the match award, it might be debatable..... But heyy, you will always have to give kudos to the one who scored , the only goal we actually scored. It wasnt an ordinary goal also. The other was an own goal. |

Her goal was really good, and it takes a great footballer to score such. Outrunning the Korean defender, able to dribble the keeper with movement and getting the much needed touch to direct the ball in to the net will rank the goal as one of the best scored so far in the tourney |

The moment we scored the second goal, we were able to shake off a bit of the weak mentality that plaques the female senior team at the world cup stage. At 1 nil up. we were playing like a ridiculous lucky bastard team that can not win anyone. I want to believe there are psychologists in the team, and they should let every member of the team know that FIFA ranking is overrated. With a weak mentality you will struggle at the third, and barely string quality passes together, the mind will be simply conditioned to ward off danger and "keep head above waters", a recipe for failure |

I think this is a losers match for the group. I also doubt we will make it out of the group as best loser. I think we lost that chance the moment we lost by as much as 3 goals. Beyond the quality of players, the team suffer from a weak mentality against international opponents from other continents... I think the psychologists have a lot of work to do when they are playing world cup. |
