Politics › Re: Lagos Won't Allow Other States Number Plates by Chinom(m): 6:18pm On Oct 04, 2012
ilugunboy: Good....try and break the law to test it as soon as you can.

However ask from people that are more knowledgeable than you in law of where the law will be tested in court...unless you are going to test it up to Supreme court.
The sarcasm was lost on you. I know about jurisdiction and all that. I mentioned Abuja to drive home the point that Lagos is just and only just a small part of the Fedration called Nigeria. Besides, the case may go all the way to Abuja so as to determine if LASG has the right to bar other state vehicles from Lagos. If they insist on Lagos number plates, then they must have to reissue it FREE OF CHARGE. Bus owners have already paid for number plates in their various states.
Politics › Re: Lagos Won't Allow Other States Number Plates by Chinom(m): 11:30am On Oct 04, 2012
I smell money in this new law. I intend to break this obnoxious law and then sue their azzes for huge compensation. This law needs to be tested against the laws of the FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA of which Lagos state is just a minute member. Lagos remains the smallest state of the federation qua landmass.
The case will be handled at Abuja.
Politics › Re: Otedola Pays AMCON Debt.. by Chinom(m): 9:02am On Oct 02, 2012
What i think about the so-called debt repayment has been adequately expressed by fellow forumites. I am utterly disappointed with Mustapha Chike-Obi for comming out with such gabbage. How much was the value of the said properties ?, Who evaluated them ? How much was the cash money Otedola paid.
Otedola is notorius for cutting corners. I DO NOT believe he paid and can pay N140b at once to AMCON. AMCON should know that they are not allowed to play "Monoploy" with public funds. Otedola ows US money, We have the right to know when and how is was paid back.

"The developer of this estate is currently selling a plot of land out right purchase for N6m per plot and they are selling installment purchase for N7.5m per plot."

Goodluck to you all at such insane prices. You're all very bad businessmen. The saddest part is that you don't know it. Mowe is Bush. And for someone who wants to live in Lagos, it will remain a bush. You may actually get mo*rons who will buy a plot of land at N7.5m at Mowe.
Misguided and pretentious people calling themselves "Developers" when in fact they are just selling land. I cannot waste my time to explain to you why you're all bad business people. You can figure it out yourselves. But i would not relent on my duty to inform and enlighten gullible Nigerians in the diaspora about shylocks like you people.
N7.5m per plot at Mowe- OGUN state ?!! Incredible.

july16th: I called you now Mr Freddo and you said I have to pay N3,000 for the form before I see the houses. I really don't understand why I have to pay that amount for a form and what if I end up unsatisfied then it means the cash is gone. If 20 other people come to you and all pays 3k for the form without being satisfied then you'v just made 60k for filling of form alone? Seriously, maybe if you convince me enough on why I should pay that 3k then I'l see reason with you but for now,am still waiting.
He is more interested in the N3,000 than to rent any apartment. Apartments for such prices in those locations will be gone the very day it's advertised. I don't really think he has any "Room & Parlour"at Adeniyi jones for N120k, 1 year rent. Scam Alert !!.

Problem is not the one truck minimum, but the unit price. More like retail price.
Politics › Re: Ojukwu's Siblings Give Bianca Quit Notice From His Residence by Chinom(m): 10:11am On Oct 01, 2012
Nightshift: The Ojukwus will definitely find a match in Bianca, incidentally, her father late Chief C C Onoh coined the 'ebe nne m n'ako ose' phrase as a weapon in claiming hectares of land in Enugu metropolis from many state and federal establishments.
'ebe nne m n'ako ose' indeed. That was funny. It's not even as if Bianca needs those properties. She has more than enough to inherit herself. But she has every right to fight for what belongs to her.
For Danka777 who says that Ikemba has no property of his own, who owns his last known residence at Independence Layout Enugu ?. I would really like to know.
Properties › Re: Plots of Land available for sale in Mainland Park Estate, Mowe by Chinom(m): 11:29am On Sep 30, 2012
@gzib, there are even hotels for N3,500 at Ikeja. They are always fully booked. Those for N77k have 90% of their rooms empty. Anyway, that was a s*illy comparison from you. The problem with these 2 developers you mentioned is nothing but pure greed and may i add a very bad product to price judgement. I will agree with you that they do not have to sell at N600k having spent some money to upgrade the location.
But they can surely sell at N800k and still make profit. Why sell at N2m and N3m. I know you work for these companies, so take my advice to them. They should cut their price, sell off the estate and move on to develope another estate.
N3m for a plot of land anywhere in and around Mowe is outrageous. If you live in Mowe, you will be lucky to get to Berger in 1 hour on a good day. Most of the time, that expressway is choked with traffic.

vivian chinaza: Being an independent woman doesn't automatically make you a man! And it really pains me when women blame their inability to be a real woman on "independence!" A woman should be a woman anytime any day! Being independent is just an added advantage!

@ op, I'm gonna be as blunt as possible...... The worst thing that can ever happen to a man is to marry a woman who can't cook or keep a house together! A woman is supposed to be a home maker! Forget this love matter.......na u go tire by the time it starts frustrating you! This is not yankee or Jand! This is Africa for goodness sake! Here in Naija, men come home from their hectic jobs to a delicious home made meal prepared by their lovely wives, not order for chinese food joor! Don't even think of house helps cos its gonna get worse, and the lineage passes over to ur kids (girls) cos a snake begets a snake! If she can learn fine, in fact if she truly loves you and she know what marriage is all about she shouldn't wait for you to say something before she starts making an effort! But if she doesn't want to make an effort pls drop her like she is hot!
In fact, she is even missing a lot! Oh yes! She is missing that innermost joy that every woman feels when the man she love eats her food and almost chop the plate join cos he enjoys her meal!
You've said it all. Nigerian women should read this comment over and over again. A Nigerian wife who cannot cook had better be very good at other aspects(you know what i mean) otherwise she will be looking in from the outside in no time.

saxywale: Oh boi, I am not igbo. Infact, I am an Ife Prince from the Oshikola ruling family (The same fam that produced the former governor of the Western Region). cool

The op asked for meaning of a lagosian, I don't think he is asking for "state of origin". I was born and bred in Lagos, sure that makes me a lagosian but I am not indigenous to Lagos.
Yours is a very sensible comment. Being a Lagosian is NOT the same thing as being an Indigene. Let's not get the 2 mixed up. Of the near 20 million population of Lagos, i'm not sure Indigenes make up to 5 million. Besides all Yorubas are not indegenes of Lagos.
Politics › Re: Taxi Driver Wins Sec's N2.5M Integrity Award by Chinom(m): 3:52pm On Sep 26, 2012
The bigger question is: Why in the world was someone carrying N18m cash around. On top of that he FORGOT it. Was he a thief ?.
Politics › Re: Who Is A Lagosian? by Chinom(m): 3:49pm On Sep 26, 2012
Aigbofa: We all built Abuja, not Lagos. Ibeto or no Ibeto, none of them was invited to Lagos, they all came on their own volition. As far as the current arrangement goes, you don't own Lagos any more than you own Kano, Maiduguri, Jalingo or Sokoto.
Abuja is the "new" Lagos. When El-Rufai said that 70% of the properties in Abuja are own by Igbos, he is basically saying that Igbos own Abuja. But Abuja is sooo young compared to Lagos.

Chinom: Mr. wake up from your dreams. What you said here is complete rubbish. These people you mentioned above should have stopped selling their lands 60 years ago. Right now, they don't own jack. Just like the Native Indians in the USA, the so-called indigeneous Lagosians have lost it all. Thier situation is even worse than that of the Indians because the Indians were forcefully removed from their lands. They were forced to give it up.
The original Lagosians SOLD theirs. Apart from Igbos, Hausas and SS peoples, a sizeable chunk of Lagos Island are now in the hands of Isrealies and Chinese people.Even the new Lekki Free trade zone is being given to the chinese on a platter. Besides, the the indigeneous Lagosians had no hand whatsoever in what Lagos is today. It started with the British and was perfected by past Military regimes when Lagos was the national capital.
Back to the topic, Lagos is NOT a no man's land. Everybody who is born, raised, resides or own property in Lagos is a Lagosian. Some of us have the luxury of claiming both Lagos and our home states too. Every Igbo man that has a landed property in Lagos, has one in his home town too. The Geographical location called Lagos belongs to us all now. The civil administration of Lagos would remain in the hands of the Lagos Yorubas, but that means nothing. Do you ever imagine that Fashola can wake up one day and drive the Dangotes, Ibrus, Ibetos or the Ubas(Capital oil) out of Lagos ?.That will never happen. Lagos is the one of the main reasons Nigeria will never break up. WE ALL BUILT IT.
.....while the Native American Indians could actually demand and get their lands back (with the help of the UN)if the USA was not so powerful, the Lagos Yorubas have no where to turn to. We've still got the RECEIPTS.

This commissioner is a very funny man. He is talking from his azzhole because he does not have to experience these animals called LASTMA in person.
Once you move with them from the spot where you were accosted, you're toast. The first thing they do when your vehicle gets to their office is to deflate the tyres. If you were to settle with N1k on the road, it will now be N5k because the thieveing oga at the office will become involved. I now carry a baseball bat in my car waitng for them.If i commit a traffic offence, i will pay my fine without probs. Any unneccessary harassment will be met with total war. THEY HAVE TO OBEY THE LAW TOO.
