Travel › Re: Ethiopian Airlines To Start Flights To Enugu Airport by Chinom(m): 12:28pm On Sep 13, 2012
A very welcome developement. other Airlines will suit once the upgrade is completed. My bookings will then be the other round. Direct to Enugu and then, later, travel to Lagos.
Politics › Re: Bank Customers Can Reject N5000 Note – CBN by Chinom(m): 12:13pm On Sep 10, 2012
DO NOT PRINT IT. PERIOD. And if you must do, leave N5,N10 and N20 as notes. Do not put them in coins. Nigerians will riot if they have to pay N50 for pure water. In Lagos, one can still pay N30 for short bus trips.
Conductors will not accept N20 and N10 coins. That same trip will now be N50. Then all hell will break loose.
The idea of a N5000 note is very dumb. There is nothing positive about it for 98% of Nigerians.
Politics › Re: N106BN Approved For New Airport Terminals by Chinom(m): 12:47pm On Sep 07, 2012
The Enugu International Airport is long overdue. This project must be pursued aggressively. We need to decongest Lagos by making it possible for Airlines from USA and Europe to land at Enugu direct from their bases.
The Enugu International Airport has the potentials of being the most viable airport in the country.

SO HURRY UP WITH THE UPGRADE..

Travel › Re: The Most Expensive Places To Live In Nigeria! by Chinom(m): 9:07am On Sep 04, 2012
The real beautiful homes in Nigeria are country homes built by rich Nigerians. I have been to somebody's home in the village and i thought i landed at the Garden of Eden. Drive in alone was about half a kilometer, lined up with well kept trees.
In Lagos, they will sell a block of cement, nothing more to you for N150m just because it's located in the so-called high brow area.

Anybody that pays N100m for a property anywhere in Lagos is a MUGU. "nuff said.

No, it wasn't a foul. Ordega kicked the ground first b4 the ball. Got herself injured.

Our girls are dominating possession now. But they should pass the ball quicker around. No too much dribble.
@Chinom go to Arepo, a genuine plot of land there is from N10m in a good place not swamping area, do you think mowe is like your village? do you know how many people live in Mowe and work in Lekki, Ikoyi and Victoria Island? ofcourse you don't know and you won't know because you are not able to explore your surrounding, you better move out of your miniflat and come to mowe to rent 2bedroom flat with that amount and still live comfortable because i remember last year you posted on nairaland you are looking for miniflat to rent for N150k. Lagos I must Live, Lagos I must die, na by force, by God grace we would dis-congest Lagos, mowe is less than 20 minutes dr from Berger
I'm too wise to fall for your craps on NL. I've always suspected that you greedy agents target Diaspora Nigerians, hence the ridiculous prices. FYI i got a nice miniflat at Ojodu for N140k a year. The miniflat is a gift/help to someone dear to me. I always knew that once i'm in Lagos, in person, i will get whatever i'm looking for at a much cheaper price than what you guys advertise here. In April, i was shown 2 different plots at Mowe for N600k. I turned them both down. Only Akata mugus would buy a plot of land at Mowe for N2m. I have lived abroad for over 20yrs, but i no be akata. I know where and how to get my way in Nigeria. You cannot justify selling a plot of land at Mowe for N2m. That place is nearer to Sagamu and Ijebu ode than Lagos. Besides, you guys got the land for peanuts.

A plot of land at Mowe for N2m and N3m ?!!. Why are your properties so expensive. Whether it's H$L or Ambassage, the prices are downright ridiculous. I can NEVER spend 2million on a plot of land at Mowe. WTF.

Blue, black and silver coloured Lipsticks are horrible. Especially on girls with very thick lips. That silver one is just wack. Keep it Red, Pink or dark brown.
Family › Re: Live-In Maids Vs Non-Live-In HouseKeepers: Which Is Preferable? by Chinom(m): 3:30pm On Aug 30, 2012
kodewrita: those oyinbos tend to make use of gadgets for a lot of the things they do in the house. essentially they replaced slave/menial labour with devices. washing machines, vacuum cleaners, microwaves, blenders etc. Here its a bit more expensive and many africans have not made their peace with these "mysterious" devices.
You forgot Dish washer and the Dust buster. 2 of the most ridiculous of gadgets. They even have a toothbrush that will brush your teeth for you.

Politics › Re: GEJ Takes Over Power Ministry by Chinom(m): 4:15pm On Aug 29, 2012
GEJ has taken over a ministry he knows nothing about. The best person for the post with the requisite technical knowhow to give us constant power was forced to resign. Sacking Nnaji was a very bad decision.
Now, the sharks and Vultures will pull wool over Jonathan's eyes. The whole situation stinks. Prof. Nnaji was our hope of achieveing regular power supply.
Politics › Re: Senate Orders CBN To Suspend N5000 Note Introduction by Chinom(m): 12:01pm On Aug 28, 2012
nosa gold: Now this is definitely affeting d price of garri in the market
For once on NL, this whole Garri issue has made sense. Hurray!!. The real killer is the coining of N5 , N10, and N20 notes. Nigerians abhor coins. Don't want anything to do with it. Besides, what purpose will the N5,000 note achieve?. And why spend so much money to print new notes ?. What's wrong with the ones we're using now?.
The idea is very stoooopid. It does not add any value whatsoever.
Politics › Re: Obama Declares Nigeria As The World’s Next-Economic Giant by Chinom(m): 11:54am On Aug 28, 2012
Obama is not telling us anything new. Nigerians, especially our greedy past leaders are aware of that, but their greed did not allow them to put things in place that will make Nigeria an economic giant.
ALL WE NEED NOW IS REGULAR POWER SUPPLY.ONCE THAT IS SOLVED, EVERY OTHER THING WILL FALL IN PLACE. GEJ IS ON THE RIGHT TRACK.
Nigeria is about to explode economically.

The lady was just 29 with 3 obviously very young children. I blame her and her husband. They had their priorities wrong. She should have left the bank if the pressure was too much with the backing of her husband.
Now you see why many Igbo husbands open shops for their wives. Either that, or they become full-time housewives. No wife of mine will leave the house at 6.00am and return home at 10.00pm. Which kind money be that?.

mathskill: As evidenced from these pictures bowing is a sign of respect.
The picture you posted showed presidents bowing mostly to ROYALTY. Buhari is not a royal. Yes you can bow to the Oba of Benin, the Obi of Onitsha or the Sultan of Sokoto, but not to Buhari, IBB or OBJ. A handshake will do.

Time to change Ordega and Oparanozie. Coach should bring in fresh legs as well give the girls on the bench a chance to play. We're already through.
