Politics › Re: Enugu Will Become An Oil-producing State Soon by Chinom(m): 4:16pm On Aug 19, 2012
@chino24, What's your problem, man!. Is Umulokpa in Uzo-Uwani anywhere near Anambrs state. There is no mix up whatsoever. I expect a local govt chairman to know the difference between Umulokpa and Igbariam and aguleri. Orient oil company has been based in Enugu right from inception. It's proper to invite them first to explore our oil before Oando for example.
Grow up Mr. man. You are acting very childish here. Expunge hate from inside of you.

chino24: Nwanne please tell the crazy bald heads. Don't mind this wawa people and there stupid claims, they should put effort harnessing their coal and also farming which they are known for alongside Ebonyi. Silly peeps
Nnaa, your comment here displays your innermost contempt for Enugu people. Please cure yourself of your inferiority complex. How on earth could the Chairman confuse Umulokpa in Uzo-uwani with Igbariam or somewhere close by where oil was discovered in Anambra state. They are two very separate and distinct villages.
You must be one of those retarded traders who never see anything good from Enugu. Why would the "wawa"claim be stupid and the one from 'Agba enu" not. I'm happy for any progress that happens anywhere in Igboland all the way to Rivers, bayelsa and delta states. Why are you trying to throw a wedge amongst Igbos by making such ediotic statement.
YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY IF OIL IS FOUND IN ENUGU AND NOT JEALOUS. Your comment here shows a high level of jealousy. People like you repulse me. Anu-ofia !.

P:S, Orient petroleum is an Igbo owned company. So we give them priority whenever oil is discovered anywhere in the SE. Do you now understand why Orient was mentioned.

Politics › Re: Ojukwu Killed Lt. Col. Banjo: Why? I Need to get to the root of this matter... by Chinom(m):
For the records, Banjo is okay. We don't have problems with Banjo. What happened to him was in line with military practise all over the world. He plotted against his commander-in- chief and was executed. Same thing happened to Igbo officers who tried to sabortage Ojukwu.
Awolowo on the other hand was a despicable,double-crossing rat. He is not on the same pedestal with Banjo as far as the Igbos are concerned. I respect Banjo regardless.

boyendowed: It's funny when people say Nigeria will never break.I believe Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia also said the same thing and we hate each other more than they did in Yugoslavia.
Then be prepared to die in the process like many died in the former Yugoslavia. All their former leaders are still at the war-crime tribunal.
Yoruba nations have the least chance of breaking away for obvious reasons.

Politics › Re: Picture Of Nigeria Divided: Is This The Future? by Chinom(m): 10:52am On Aug 18, 2012
Wishful thinking !. Nigeria will never split along those lines. The only split possible is a North-South divide. That is also the most viable and advantageous to every section.
The second option is a Switserland type confederation. The Niger Delta has zero chance of separation. If the old Biafra could not succeed, no other Southern state would in today's Nigeria. We all need to sit down and talk.

GEJ, Bath Nnaji, Alison-Madueke, Okonjo-Iweala and Aganga are on the right track. keep up the good work. we just don't want temporary improvement, but a permanent end to power failure in Nigeria.
That is all we ask from this administration. Just give me constant power. I will deal with BH myself.

Politics › Re: If GEJ Improves Electricity, Will You Vote For Him In 2015? by Chinom(m): 11:16pm On Aug 09, 2012
Kobojunkie: LIE 1: You can a thriving healthcare system without 24/7 Power supply. There are hospitals(mostly catering to international workers) in that country that have so far been able to survive in that same Nigeria in all this time. Of course 24/7 electricity will help but you can have a thriving healthcare system in place without electricity.

That is not entirely true. What do you think the country has been running on all this while? teeth juice? Of course those generators that have been running all these years constitute energy and they have worked well so far. The Solar panels that have designed some streets in Lagos have yet to complain. That is energy. grin grin grin

LIE 2: Jobs can exist without 100% power. What do you think those who have been propping up our economy for years have been doing? Scrubbing their bums? grin grin grin grin Definitely it would be great to have 100% electricity but there is not enough of a reason to focus on just power, especially when you consider cost and how long it would really take to reach even 10% Power need, let alone 100%

Again, not enough of a reason to vote back in a government that seems to be one dimensional. Power does not solve all things. We all know that in our private lives, but it is just that some you are too insincere to consider reality when you try to make your points, whatever they are.
Jesus Christ !!, how could you sink so low. These comments here are incredibly ridiculous. You have sold your thinking faculties to the dogs just for the sake of arguements. You're are a very self-absorbed person. Saying utter nonsense in a seemingly educated fashion. People like you are dangerous to the society.
Sports › Re: Team Nigeria's Poor Olympics Performance: Causes? by Chinom(m): 10:45pm On Aug 09, 2012
CORRUPTION. Pure, unadulterated corruption is a major cause of the absymal performance. A situation where sports administrators earn much more than sports coaches except in football can never produce olympic champions.Funds voted for training and equipments are grossly embezzled. Athletes are paid peanuts even when the money is available to pay them better.

Jamaican population is just over 2 million. They are descendants of West Africa, if not mostly Nigeria. They share the same gene pool with us. There are many Usain Bolts walking around in Nigeria. The sports administrators just have to find them and nurture them.
Nigeria can afford to hire a Jamaican athletics coach. So, why don't we hire one.

Politics › Re: If GEJ Improves Electricity, Will You Vote For Him In 2015? by Chinom(m): 2:28pm On Aug 09, 2012
Ama28: I really won't give him my vote come 2015 even if he improves electricity. His decision making and implementing strategy is zero, his anti corruption strategy zero. He has the zeal to make a change on electricity but if Obj had the same degree of zeal GEJ has on electricity, he would have improved it. I want a leader that can solve more problems and save lives. We have lost more lives in his tenure than that of most leaders of our time. No No No!!!! He has to go.
The big question is; Which leader? .IBB received over $12billion gulf oil windfall, ruled by military decree, had no wahala from any national assaembly populated by dimwits, could spend any amount of money where ever he wants to. OBJ was in a similar position the first time he ruled. Yet, nothing was done whatsoever to improve power supply.
We have to thank God for GEJ now. At least, he is serious about it.
Politics › Re: If GEJ Improves Electricity, Will You Vote For Him In 2015? by Chinom(m):
Kobojunkie: 1) You made no sense, and answered no question. In fact, your post is incoherrant and all over the place but I will attempt to bring you back to the discussion

2) The Power stations you are enjoying today are also as a result of Obasanjo spending some of the money he squandered on building the power stations that are today going online and supplying you electrcity you are rejoicing about.

3) Starting from the basis does not mean electricity. If Governments were elected to be one dimensional then the world you know today would not be the way you see it .. . infact, I doubt we would have solved the power problem at all.

4) Basis includes things like infrastructure, security, food and water, Educations, Healthcare, Power, employment, economy. Suggesting you can ignore some and focus just on one, is exposing the degree of ignorance you are working with .
What you cannot or refuse to comprehend is "incoherent"to you. Go back and read my comment again, maybe you will begin to understand that the question you raised on " Should we elect or vote for a president solely on his ability to slove the power problems in NIGERIA" is answered with a resounding YES by me. If you cannot fathom my writing style, then i don't have to need to reply to your very empty posts. The biggest and easily solvable problem we have in Nigeria now is power supply.
What our former heads of state lacked was the WILL to tackle it. GEJ has shown he has the will and a way has been found. I hope this is comprehensible and coherent to you. Or should i space it out with numbers to make it clear to simpleminded people like you.
Politics › Re: If GEJ Improves Electricity, Will You Vote For Him In 2015? by Chinom(m): 12:52pm On Aug 09, 2012
Kobojunkie: Correction: This thread is on whether you will re-elect a government that has yet to build a power plant solely on grounds of it,by MAGIC,fixes the Power problem by 2015.

Please never ever compare America or the minds of Americans to Nigerians. Every Emeka, Sule and Mohammed knows never to do that. In America, Americans generally consider a whole array of issues before they go to the polls. Nigerians however, on the majority cast their votes for silly things like "he is trying", "he is annointed", "he fit change", "i hate the north", "my back dey pain me", "he represents my ethnic group" . . .etc.

No country on this planet yet has problems that are brand new. Even here in the US, many of the problems date back to before Nigeria dreamt of independence. In Nigeria however, the key problems are not just one. There are still many of them. We are talking HealthCare, Security, Infrastructure, Education, Food & Water, Power, Employment, and the Economy. To suggest that one of those is more important than the others is to submit that one does not really understand the situation.

What good will power be to over 18 million students in our schools if after 4 years, our Education system is allowed to rot to the point that companies have to look even more outside for help they desperately need to maintain the power projects(we push 5 million more people into the unemployment lines) leading to increase in unemployment, increase in poverty etc.? What good will power do if after 4 years, and so many billions of dollars later, terrorism becomes normal life for millions more Nigerians than what we have today? I can go on but I think we need to get a better grip of what our situation is and what decisions we need to make.

Electing a president solely on his ability to fix power, would have probably made sense back in 1984, but we have more intertwined and complex problems that it would be foolhardy to match to the polls thinking a one dimensional attacker is what will help us.
Listen, my firend, i don't know why you are always chasing shadows in your attempt to ridicule GEJ. All you've said above is nothing but an attempt to sound academic. Nothing but some empty academic grandstanding. IN NIGERIA, WE SHOULD ELECT A PRESIDENT SOLELY ON HIS ABILITY TO FIX POWER PROBLEMS. Why would it make sense in 1984 and not in 2015?. Could you explain that. Is GEJ not trying to do what should have been done since 1974 given the fact the the nation had more disposal income then ?. IBB was the former leader who was in the best position to solve our problem. He totally squandered our money then. The only problem that is exorcised from the power issue is Security. Every other national issue is linked to solving the power problem.Nigeria has to start from the basis. The basis is regular power supply. This should be tackled along side security. Security is a problem that is beyond the controle of many governments all over the world. Need i remind you about 9/11, the recent mass killing is a US movie Theatre and another mass killing just last week at a Sikh temple. What about the London and Spanish train bombings. GEJ should concentrate on solving the power problems. That is at least within our controle. It is realisable. He must be voted for if that is solved.
Politics › Re: If GEJ Improves Electricity, Will You Vote For Him In 2015? by Chinom(m): 12:14pm On Aug 09, 2012
blink182: NO, there are more important things than power.

Health care
Energy
Security
Transportation
Job creation
Accepting resolutions drafted by the national assembly

most importantly, he should stop being a mo. ron
ENERGY is more important than POWER ?!!. And to think that 10 bigger m.oro.ns "liked" this imbecilic comment shows the calibre of forumites here.
Power = constant electricity = energy and that is what Nigeria needs the most right now. Job creation will jump 1000% with regular power supply. If GEJ fixes that, he will surely get my vote.

Chicken on the other hand MUST be eaten with hand. especially drumsticks.
Politics › Re: Okonjo-Iweala To Senators: Focus On Project Implementation Not Cash by Chinom(m): 1:45pm On Aug 03, 2012
TEAM GEJ is the last hope for Nigeria at this point in time. They are there to lay a solid foundation for whoever takes over after Jonathan. I just wish Okonjo- Iweala will succeed GEJ. Nigeria MUST move forward. No more backward thinking, very corrupt politicians.
There's a difference between chopping small and doing something visible for the nation and chopping everything and doing nothing like IBB and OBJ. $12billion gulf oil windfall simply disappeared with IBB. Now we are looking for $10b a year to give us regular electricity. If past govts had done any form of investments on power and energy, we will not need so much now.
WHAT A WASTED GENERATION !!.

i don't think thsi story is true. If it is, then it's a bloody waste of money. A decent burial does not have to cost so much. I like the way some rich white people bury their loved ones. No noise is made about it. It is solemn, peaceful, and intimate.
We in the SE would like to shut the entire village down.

This is not how to moderate. 60% of the posts are hidden. People should be free to discuss whatever they like to discuss on a social network as long as there are no personal threats.
Afam4ever's first comment saying he hoped they did not lodge at Peckham was NOT a derailmaent.
Politics › Re: Military Wont Overthrow GEJ’s Govt - IBB by Chinom(m): 9:44am On Aug 01, 2012
We are giving too much credit to the likes of IBB and OBJ. They no longer have any form of influence in the military. The new generation of military officers do not look up to them. Whether a coup happens or not is beyond their control.
We have a more refined armed forces now and GEJ is firmly in control.
