HealthRe: Healthy Way Of Losing The Extra Kilos by Chiori(m): 7:44pm On Nov 03, 2006
The best way to lose weight is to do it the fun and informal way. Here are some tips.

1) Don't stroll, walk as if the devil himself is behind you.
2) When you wake up in the morning, don't just climb out of bed; jump out or roll out from there to the bathroom with all your blankets on you.
3) Where you usually walked to, jog there.
4) Climb the stairs running three to four or more as you go up.
5) Place things in your room such that you cannot have them all in one spot. The idea is to get you traveling miles per day to get them.
6) Trek more often.

With these, you would find you are losing more stone than you could ever imagine.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Share Your Most Embarassing Moments by Chiori(m): 7:06pm On Nov 03, 2006
When were you ever embarrassed, and you consider it as (one of) your greatest embarrassing moment?

For me, it was the day a girl with whom I had grown shunned me in public. Her name is Nsini, and it so happened that we were in Nursery School, Primary School, and Secondary School at the same period, though not the same ones. But we got into  the same University.

One day I saw her on campus and, since I hadn't seen her for quite a while, decided to hail her. I walked up to her, confident that she'd treat me like a sister would treat her brother. When I got to her, I said, "Nsini, how far now?"

She replied, "Excuse me, do I know you? And for your information, my name is not Nsini. My name is Cindy." And she walked out on me, and I felt so foolish. I was so embarrassed that for some time, I did not greet those I knew until they called on me.
RomanceRe: Would You Sleep With A Girl During Your Bachelor's Night? by Chiori(m): 6:50pm On Nov 03, 2006
Once I get hooked to a lady for marriage, there is no way I would do any love with another. I find it difficult, if not impossible, to dichotomize between love and the sexual act. So my take is, whether the hottie girl wants it or not, there is going to be nothing physical between us.

Suppose I got down with her, and she decides I was too good to let go like that, she will now trace me to my home after I have gotten married and make trouble for me and my wife, and that will be the end of "living happily ever after".

The risk is greater than the gain, so I'd just leave it be!

Ishmael, I have been a warlord before now. Please don't get me to get into details, but take it from me. I did not spend four years in the Academy doing nothing.

Well, you would be surprised I love my country Nigeria more than you or anyone else does. I am the most patriotic Nigerian in the world. And I did research on it before posting this topic. Just call my bluff and do some finding out. That way we shall be able to stamp out this malaise in Nigeria now it is still early.

Seun:
It is not happening "everywhere". Nigerian women are not sleeping with their sons en masse.
Lets take up your bet on this score. Go to any police station or statistics office of your choice, and find out for yourself on how many cases there abound, Oga Seun. If my call is wrong, I will reward you handsomely, financially. It is a bet that sure thing is happening here in this "family-oriented" Nigeria.

That is what I am trying to ask, but till now none has said anything authoritative on whether or not it is true such a story that I heard on coming back into the country. Anyway, I am still carrying out my independent investigations.

None of the above. Before any northerner can rule in Nigeria again, 24 years will pass for the South-South, South-East, and the Middle Belt.

oga seun with all due respect, lets stop pretending that Nigeria is one big paradise. we keep on hearing of parents who abuse their children sexually, even here. my own landlady is currently seeking divorce from her husband of 38 years because of this thing - he had been doing so to their two daughters, and now it has developed into a full scale relationship between him and his first daughter. go ask the cops, and they will show you stats of how frequent it happens.

Sometimes what can a man do. No one should just reply outright NO. I can do it, given the conducive atmosphere for that.
CrimeSpouse In Bed With Your Child by Chiori(op): 1:16pm On Sep 21, 2006
There is this phenomenon which is becoming rampant in Nigeria. I have witnessed it a few times, and heard of it so many times. You come back from wherever you went, and as you get into your bedroom, you hear ecstatic moans coming from your bedroom, apparently you-know-what is going on. You recognize your wife's voice, but you can't make out the man's own. (Or if you are a lady, you know your hubby's voice but can't know till you see who the lady intruder is) On opening the door, you discover that the person in question on your wife, or on whom your husband is flagging, is your own son or daughter. You'd do what then.
PoliticsRe: Recent Coup Attempt In Nigeria? by Chiori(op): 12:49pm On Sep 21, 2006
Well, they are only allowed if they rule under a constitutional arrangement. But if they come in by the gun, that is where there will be trouble. Even the USA is ruled by retired military personnel. What would be bad for us is if serving officers hijack government again. That is why I want to know what is happening so I can decide whether to continue as a good citizen, or to pick my gun and become a warlord.

Eating Hated Food In The Name Of Love

Suppose you are in love with some one. Now the natural thing to do is start doing things you never enjoyed doing before just to please your spouse. Now would you consider eating food you would normally abhor because the person you are dating eats it so lovingly? Give me your candid response. I am in such a fix.
FamilyRe: Please Help, My Wife Wants To Leave Me by Chiori(m): 12:20am On Sep 20, 2006
Bros, it's only God can help you in this one, even though you have only stated your own side of the story; she can't just wake one day and decide she wants out of the marriage.  Something about you must have been eating deep into her fabric of the relationship, until there is no panacea left for her to soothe herself on. But whatever the case, don't die because of that.

Ok continue sleeping till you are 40 before you think of settling down. You don't know that in this age of fastness, you gotta do all to beat for the best of time? By age 70 one is ready to leave. Plus, it's best to have your kids while you're still young. It paves way for easier parent-child bonding.

The first thing I would do on a date with some angel is go out for dinner, then if there is still time, go on a real slow cruise around town trying for feelers how it's gonna be in a relationship with her.
