A wall gecko died inside fresh palp we soaked to wash it in the morning. Because we don't buy public palp me usually make our own.

The following morning about washing the palp we saw dead Gecko inside it. We just removed it and washed the pap thoroughly.

We enjoyed the palp and it's over 3 years now nothing has happened.

Probably a clump of detergent that did not dissolve. Many fruit and vegetable sellers wash their wares with detergent and water to make them look more appealing to prospective customers. Always rinse fruits and vegetables thoroughly, before consumption .

I just saw a heartbreaking cctv video of the boy's struggle in the pool before he died. He was wearing a floater, but he was upside down unfortunately and could not raise himself up. Most wives tend to cook in bulk and then freeze. It's what I do as well. That way preparing meals for the family is easier, especially if you work as well. It's also more cost effective.

It is a good movie and I enjoyed it. These were the issues I had with it however.
1. I find it odd that the Oyo monarch did nothing about his cheating wife. I expected a manhunt for her.

2. The narration at the beginning dwelt mainly on the Akala bird, and I expected a more thorough exposition in the main plot. I find it totally unbelievable that a bird reputed to hold the power of life and death would be frightened off by a mere mortal and lose its power in the process. Why did the bird not come in search of its gourd? Did the bird have to suspend its duties in the interim? A lot of loopholes here. I did like the physical aspect of the bird though.

3. The movie was too long and had a few unnecessary scenes. The sex scene between Saro and Arolake was completely uncalled for.

What I liked:
1. Great shots and use of lighting as usual. Afolayan does well in this regard.
2. Fantastic set, props and costumes which lend the movie credibility. I was especially impressed by the ambience when Saro first walked into Oyo. The pottery aspect too was beautiful to see.

All in all, Anikulapo is a good offering.

I have been married for 3 years now, I have known my wife for 5 years altogether. She was and is still the best thing that ever happened to me.

I don't know where to start from, I can't come to terms with the fact that my wife is leaving.

Guys, I think the problem started last year after some hoodlums stole my bike. That was my major source of livelihood apart from some home lessons that I used to do, but stopped due to health reasons.

It's been difficult financially and I honestly don't know what else to do.

Shortly after my bike was stolen, I got a loan from lapo and added with my little savings to enter palm oil business. I wish I had not done so as I ended up losing about 80k because the guy I worked with cheated me whole heartedly.

My wife had to get a job as a teacher in a private primary school. I told her it was just temporary as I was working to raise money for her start a poultry.

In order to clear the lapo loan, I had to do odd jobs and take loan from loan apps. My wife's little salary of 20k became the major source of feeding while I battled to clear the loan.

Sometimes I would borrow from friends to pay the loan app to be able to borrow a higher amount from the loan apps again. This was a mistake and a trap cos now I am so much indebted to these loan apps. I am even owing some friends and right now I am unable to pay back.

I have been in debt for over 8 months now to these loan apps. They have tarnished my Image to all my contacts.

I even stopped going to church because most of my church members who received messages from these loan apps did not even care to hear me out. They believed the loan apps that I am a fraudster on the run.

My wife started feeling ashamed of me. She stopped associating with me in public spaces. I know she has tried. Nobody deserves to pass through what she is passing through.

This afternoon when she came back from work, she told me that she would be going back to her parents house

She said that it is best she goes back to her people until I am able to sort my self out.

Guys I have tried to be strong for so long. Right now I don't think I can hold on anymore. I have always believed that things would turn out well, but right now I am in a low place. I don't know how long I can hold on again.

Last month I tried to even get a security job that pays 25k monthly. But I feel so discouraged to do the job. How long will I work to clear a loan of 320k that keeps adding interest daily.

Thoughts of suicide have been crossing my mind today. I really need help

If your wife is planning to leave because you are going through tough times, then she can't be such a wonderful wife. What happened to " for better, for worse?" I have been down this road. Things were tough for my husband and I but we overcame by supporting each other and praying together. A man without a kobo in his pocket, but with strong emotional support from his partner will move mountains. I don't mean to vilify your wife. I know it is not easy, but you need her now.

However, I think you should let her leave if she wants to. No hard feelings on your part. Focus on getting back on your feet. Start with prayers of gratitude. Thank God for every little thing you have. It might sound cliché but it works. Ask God to lead you to new opportunities that will bless you, then open your eyes to see these opportunities when they come by. For now, be grateful for that little job you have. Many people would give anything to have that same job. May God bless and elevate you.

A close friend of mine invited me to a birthday party he threw for his girlfriend a couple of days ago. I initially declined the invitation but reluctantly agreed when the girl called me personally and pleaded with me to show up.

When it was time to get ready for the party, a peep into my wardrobe reminded me that I had no outing cloths. I hadn't gotten a new cloth for over 4 years. My sapa induced introverted nature somehow masked my need for new stuffs because I hardly go out. A sad reality hit me hard in the face... My two jeans and three tee shirts were badly worn out, no shoes either.

I shaa dressed up and left for the party. I immediately regretted my decision of honouring that invitation immediately I stepped into the venue. I looked so out of place... Guys were all dressed up in nice cloths and latest gadgets, I normally don't let those kinda stuffs bother me but I felt terrible that night.

I sat at a corner observing things till my friend's girlfriend came and yanked me off my seat to take pictures with some of her friends. A friend of hers used an iPhone with three cameras at the back to take the pictures, didn't know the model since both 12 and 13 looks similar.

I went and sat back at my corner till the photo guy came and offered to transfer some of the pictures to me... I hesitated because I knew I didn't want to see the pictures but the guy was persuasive so I gave in. If only I knew the embarrassment that was lying in wait for me.

We proceeded to connect to xender, that was when my antiquated camon CX air that I've been using since 2017 decided to show himself. My phone kept rebooting on its own endlessly till the guy got fed up and left. I was super embarrassed.

My friend still came today to transfer the same pictures to me but I objected vehemently because I looked miserable in all the pictures.
I codedly observed guys in my compound dressed up for church and Sunday outings and came to the conclusion that sapa has been my best friend for a really long while.

The new Electoral Act introducing the mandatory use of electronic voter verification and accreditation through finger prints is the last puncture on all plans to rig election anymore in Nigeria. If your finger prints or facials cannot be read by the machine with your voters card, you can vote. If any polling unit returns one vote in excess of electronically verified voters, the result of the unit is automatically recorded as zero and void immediately. Again results of each polling unit election which must tally with the number of electronically verified voters will be transmitted/uploaded directly to INEC Election Web from the polling unit so that it is available to everybody at the same time. How does anybody plan to rig this election. Whoever loses should go home and rest.

Detection of fetal anomalies is still not regular practice in Nigeria. Most hospitals do not have the capacity to do it and where the tests are available, they are so hideously expensive that the average couple can't afford them.

I got married two months ago. I am 7 months pregnant my husband didn't tell me he had a child from his previous relationship and the child has a disability celebral palsy. Her mother came to dropped her off in my house saying she has done enough and she's tired it is now hubby turn to take care of her.

The child can't do anything for herself she can't sit, talk, walk and she does toilet in her clothes. I can't do it anymore I love children because I have taken care of my own nieces and nephews before I would have taken care of her if she was normal but taking care of a child in this question is hard and if her own mother has had enough she abandoned her and why would I kill myself taking care of her in my condition.

I want to divorce and go back to my village I have told him i am leaving next month. He is pleading with me not to leave him that he will take the child somewhere else but the place is not free he has to be paying like 200k monthly for them to take care of the child and he doesn't even have that amount of money because he is not financial stable.

I will stick to my decision but I want to know what will other people do in my situation.

Your husband was wrong to keep such such vital information from you. However, I really don't think this is enough cause for a divorce. You can both come up with tenable solutions for the care of the girl depending on the availability of funds. Her care can be managed by a professional caregiver. Unless you have some other issue with your husband, this isn't enough for a divorce.

Modification: Since funds are a problem, giving your husband some space may be the only way out, considering your condition. Return home, get some rest, have your baby and then decide on what to do next. Don't end your marriage in haste though. I wish you the best.

First of all, I want to use this medium and opportunity to praise all females worldwide. Most especially the mothers. I have seen and witnessed that being a mother is never an easy task. I cherish and adore all mothers worldwide.
There is this particular song we often sing during our primary education days:
'There is no one like mama to me'

'I am travelling round the world, looking for mama'
'there is no one like mama to me'

Though the story is very long to tell here, but I will summarize it as much as I can.

The Good News
It was all good news when my fiancee told me she feels pregnant 3rd week of January, 2022. Without delaying, we hurriedly visited a hospital for confirmation. The result of the pregnancy test came positive. She was already three(3) weeks pregnant.
You can imagine the smiles on our faces. It's her first pregnancy and it's my first child on the way.
Though we'd not planned for the pregnancy, but we thank God it came and we have to keep it.

As expected, we immediately registered for antenatal. All the appropriate drugs and medication were given her. We went back home very happy.

Feeding?
We never for once skipped the feeding regime and other stuff recommended by our Obstetrician. We followed precept by precept all he told us to do.
I always buy 2 whole sharwa fish (it's the only source of animal protein that she accepted including egg and other fish), leafy vegetables, fruits (96% watermelon, 3% orange, others 1%).
5am she'll wake me up for food during the First Trimester. I cooked fresh food everyday.
I had to sell my cassava which was reserved to pay my rent in July to make sure my woman and the babies did not lack a single nutrient and a proper antenatal care.
I prepared whatever she wants to eat except junks.

Cooking?
I do 95% of the cooking.
I have all the time to cook. The company I was working was owing us since November, 2021, same company was liquidated late January, 2022 and we were ask to stay at home by March by the liquidators due to financial constraint.
As you can see, I have all the time to cook.
She eats well prepared balanced diet everyday. I only allow her eat junks (Ice cream, sweet, biscuits) twice in a month.

A viable gestation
Fast forward to our next appointment, already Seven (7) weeks old pregnancy. Routine Ultrasound Scan was carried out. A viable result says the UT scan.

News of Twin Gestation
Something happened on the next routine UT scan. It's already eleven (11) weeks old pregnancy. It's a twin gestation says the diagnostic medical sonographer. It was double joy and blessing. We were more happy. We went home joyful.
We had planned to give birth to only 3 children. This one and one more in 6 years time. She's in her mid 20s and I'm in my mid 30s.

News of Twin Boys
Another banger was the 18th week of pregnancy when we went for Anatomy Fetal scan. This scan was able to tell us the sex of the foetus if we so desire to know. After the scan we were told that everything (Fetal Anatomy) is perfect. But for the sex, he said, both are males. My fiancee was very happy, though I was happy but I still prefer female child anyday, anytime as my first child.
So, my fiancee is carrying twin boys. We did not for once derailed from the laid down 'do and don't' by our Obstetrician.

News of Threatened Abortion
Another thing happened in the 22nd week of pregnancy. On and off cramps around the abdomen. We visited our Obstetrician. We later had to go for UT scan. After the scan, we returned to see our Obstetrician. To our surprised, he told us it's 'Threatened Abortion'. He gave us medication. The cramps stopped midway into the mediation and until after the medications.

Vaginal Bleeding
It was sorry, tears and blood on the 26th week of pregnancy. Around 1am my fiancee noticed bleeding. Up to 20ml of blood. Though the bleeding stopped immediately. First thing 7am, same day, we visited our Obstetrician to complain. After series of UT scan, blood and urine tests, we were given medications.
Next day almost same time when the previous bleeding started, the bleeding started again. This time it'd not stop. I hurriedly rushed out to my neighbour in the next flat. We immediately took my fiancee to the hospital. The bleeding later stopped in the hospital. Our Obstetrician, later in the day refered us to a Teaching Hospital.

At the Teaching Hospital
At the Teaching Hospital, after series of tests and UT scan, no fault was detected. My fiancee bled several times there. The bleeding was on and off. Babies were kicking normal, Packed Cell Volume (PCV) was normal, the cervix was closed and no pains of any kind, just bleeding. Then what was wrong? Medications and treatment did not totally stopped the bleeding. Six (6) days in the hospital no improvement. Now the pregnancy was 27 weeks old.

I went to get some supplies for my fiancee, I entered the Labour Ward where she had been all these while, but she was not there. I was told she had been taken to the Gynaecology Theater for emergency C-section. Our 27 weeks old twin boys were brought out, bathed (they were crying), clothed and transferred to incubators.
We, the hospital management and staff tried our best to make everything successful.
It was unfortunate that our twin boys died the next day but we were fortunate that my fiancee is fine.
Dear readers, during my time in the hospital, I saw women go through pains and agony to bring new souls into this world. My experience in the hospital elevated my respect, adoration and love for mothers.

I was drained emotionally and financially. I spent a a little above #500,000. Her dad was very supportive. My buddies too. I only burrowed about 150k.
I'd not hesitate to reach out to my landlord to give more time to pay my rent. God bless my landlord. He knows I've never defaulted. He understands the situation.
The company I worked are still owing as the expatriates (Indians) have all left the country.

I can relate. I lost twins as well. All in all, I lost three babies. The pain and grief can be heart wrenching. I pray God blesses you with healthy babies as soon as possible. Your fiancée needs you now more than ever to deal with the emotional trauma from the loss.

My best friends in uni peddled very damaging lies about me and I didn't find out until we were in our third year. The rumour was started in 100level. Friends can either be very loyal, ride or die or they can be snakes in hiding. Unfortunately, the first group is quite rare.
