Djriri: My partner and I are aware of our genotype situation both of us carry AS gene we both have a child together my first daughter who is AS genotype PRAISE THE LORD.
After finding out that I am also AS my partner after the birth of my daughter has told me he didn’t want to continue having children with me and would rather we both raise the child and get new partners. we want to let that connection go and 1 year later currently I’m pregnant with a baby boy who is now carrying the SS gene.
My partner has moved out of house ,, Paid me money to abort the baby and he went to start a new life far from me and the baby. I’m not sure if I should use the money abort the child and start my life or keep the child and pray for Gods forgiveness!!!!
HELPPPP ME
Watch the video below and then make up your mind. The lady in the video was a sickle cell patient and at the height of her pain, she made a passionate plea for people to stop bringing children with the SS genotype into the world. She died about a week or two after recording this video unfortunately.
klassyguy: Taking him for a test is not my problem. Their mother is against it. I cannot do that without her support. And the thought of moving to Nigeria was just a thought. We both have been chewing on that for a while now. Raising kids in this environment, particularly in today's US, is not as easy as you think. When I grew up in Nigeria, I had teachers who would flog the daylights out of you for misbehaving in class, and once you get home, you will get additional cane. I know how many times my dad broke cables on my back for misbehaving in school, and that is after I got punished by my teachers. Those beatings straightened me out and made me who I am today. Here, teachers cannot lay their hands on kids as they can be arrested for abusing the child. I've seen it play out several times and it is not pretty. Even the good ol' "ass whopping" families give their kids when they misbehave is frowned on as one nosy neighbor can call child services and report that you're abusing your kids.
If the only reason you are contemplating returning to Nigeria is because you hope the school system will straighten your child out, then I'll advise you to abort mission. The school system is no longer what you remember. These days teachers are afraid of instilling discipline in kids because of the blow back from both parents and school owners. Returning from the US, you will most likely enrol your kids in an upscale school, and those ones have an aversion for discipline.
MARKone: Russia is a huge export economy, more especially it's Gas, Removing them from Swift, will seriously affect other countries that are dependent on imports from Russia. Similar move was made on Iran around 2014, which nearly crippled their economy. I hope Putin will put an end to this destruction. Anyway na their problem.
It is not just their problem. We could be affected. Like you rightly pointed out, Russia is a huge exporter of gas and they drive that market (influence price markers)to a good extent. Nigeria imports gas and other refined petroleum products. If these sanctions against Russia hold, it may have a cumulative effect on us as well.
Bimstee: Nairalanders, Please I need someone to teach a legit way of making money online. I need to put food on the table for my kids and don't have the capital to start offline business. If not for anything at least for the sake of my kids

. Please am begging.

Valkrie: Oya don't come here and say what you don't know...!!
Do you know the reason why they don't have thirteenth floor in any high rise buildings on wall street? Google is there for you to enlighten yourself...!!
Black people are unbelievable at times...!!!
I even forgot this one. I've listed a few American superstitious beliefs as well.
wonder233: Nothing happens. Is it the same world we live in that the whites live in? They have none of these limiting superstitious religious and cultural beliefs and are making rapid progress, while down here, we are bogged down by all the various things we "believe in". This is 2022, I nor believe in anything again. Make everything gettat
Actually, Caucasians have superstitions. Americans believe that walking under a ladder is bad luck, that if you break a mirror, you will have seven years of bad luck, if a black cat crosses your path, same thing and if you step on a crack on the sidewalk, you will break your mother's back. There are many more. These are just the few I can remember for now.
He was not just the first black Oscar winner, he was the first black in Hollywood. Read that in his book, This Life - an interesting piece. Men don dey japa since 1753 BC
And if memory serves, there's an interesting story about how he came to be an actor in the first place. The man was an icon.
May God comfort those left to mourn her. This is my take on the matter - whoever murdered her is a monster, but I blame the girl. Virtue and morals have gone to the dogs. Growing up, we were taught as ladies to esteem virtue and self pride.
An undergraduate has absolutely no business staying in a hotel room alone with a guy, even if they are dating. Young ladies do not date responsibly and for that reason many of them get into all kinds of sticky situations. For starters, many young ladies know the guys they date and the men they roll with earn their money in a questionable manner, but they don't care. The end game for them is showing off on social media with expensive hair, phones and designer outfits. There's more to life than these. Those young boys who use them for rituals will eventually settle down and marry down the line and when they do, they usually go for a good girl who has been raised right.
My fellow ladies, please learn to make money and be independent. Learn to be content with whatever you make and whatever lifestyle it will afford you. Learn to avoid irresponsible young guys who are out to make a buck through any means necessary. If you are wise, you can usually spot them. This dead young lady should have been spending her new year's eve with family and loved ones. If she had, she probably will be alive today.
Dare to be different, dare to work hard and honestly. Don't land yourself in a sticky situation where you get killed or where your body count is so high that eventually when you get married, you get jumpy each time your husband introduces you to a friend. Again, may God comfort the bereaved.
Sirlancelot: Hi pals, this is not a right platform to drop this but won't mind sharing this.Just barely 2 years ago,I got married to my wife and God blessed me with beatiful twin boys of almost one year now.I have been managing life back and forth after many unsuccessful attempts to get a gainful employment ever since I finished my degree in 2015. I have done many odd jobs like security guard, cleaners all this while just to put food on my table but it's not really enough.Just last year I joined one of this freight company in lagos as dispatch rider which have been really helpful in putting food on my table all these months. I thank God for that opportunities. Now what really warrant this write up was that I went to deliver an order at a popular restaurants in Lekki to a customer but the client turn out to be my secodary mate whom I last saw 12 years ago.The sadest part is that the guy just ignore me.Very true,my cloth looks dusty and unkempt due to nature of my job.I guess he does not want to associate with failures amidst his friend around the restaurant. My soul left me that moment,I don't even know how I got home.I think suicide is only for the weak but no,the brave also have a fair share.Life is really not fair out here. Four months ago ,I lost my mum to high blood pressure. Painfully I can't take her to morgue for embalmed till she start bloating before we decide where to bury her.See ehe, this experience I just encountered with my old class mate break me totally. I have never feel suicidal like this all my life. The only strength that keeps me alive is my two boys am seeing everyday .At 32 years,my only achievements is my children.Omo life can be funny.I know people have story to tell, but getting an interactive encouragement from you guys can do much.
Let the poor treatment you got from your classmate propel you to work harder. At 32, you have your whole life ahead of you. Sit down and recalibrate. What can you do? What do you have a passion for? What talent do you have? Develop these. Set goals and pursue them aggressively. Above all, have an attitude of heartfelt gratitude all the time. You saw a well to do classmate, but in the same vein, you have others who are in worse situations than you are. Be grateful, work hard, be honest and you will win.
The most dangerous person in the world is a jealous person. Jealousy pushes people to do things that will shock even themselves. There is no limit to how far they'll go once the green eyed monster rears its head. Once I notice a person has a tendency to get jealous, I run as far away as possible from that person.
You have a decent command of the English language, which is a rarity these days. Kudos.
Now to your neighbour- cut him off! You owe him nothing. If you can't do that, then make arrangements to move out. Freeloading is a serious no in this economy.
