darocha1: I can relate to what your parents are doing and I have an idea of the dilemma you are in.
I am on a wheelchair and it is a phase I have passed through.
I only have 1 advice for you, face your studies. Make some money, pray to God (if you believe in any) and watch the rest play out.
In the meantime, keep your relationship a secret from your parents. Infact, make them feel you have dissolved the whole thing.
If you want to talk, send me a private message on IG @adebolawhite
Best Wishes What do we define as a disability? Steven Hawkins is celebrated as one of the greatest minds that ever lived. Yet he had not movement below his neck. I am not sure asking her to hide her relationship to satisfy emotionally and intellectually bereft parents is good advice. Maybe educating them is a nice start. |

2aces: Hello carlanders, as i pick it from the streets, i bring to you guys.
A friend of mine normally add about a litter or two of paint thinner to his fuel tank after each fill up. When confronted, he told me his mechanic adviced him to do so, that paint thinner helps clean the injector, even better than the regular injector cleaners in the market.
Now, am not the kind of person that follow people blindly, so am seeking your opinion on this, expecially from those who have tried it.
Thanks yall. People use it to clean catalytic converters. You only do it once. I ran it on two cars I owned and it was a one time event 1 gallon to 15 gallons of gasoline. Did not turn the check engine light off but I am sure the engine was cleaner. There are videos on YouTube that talk about it |

essegis: The tower of power (coined from David Poz) is beginning to take shape.
Presently we have fully tested the 38120 cells and Nissan Leaf batteries, both without BMS for now. The 38120 were disappointing to say the least. Suspecting there might be some weak cells among them but no proper equipment to carry out the required tests yet.
The Nissan Leaf did okay for a short test but had to put it off as no way to charge it yet. The Victron charger is not yet configured for Lithium ion batteries. Seeing solar depot have the Mk3-usb connect for the configuration but the pepper is not here oo. Abeg if anybody get one wey I fit borrow just configure the charger I will return back immediately.

Gundel001: Hi good day my fellow Nairalander please I will really need your experience about this issue. Please help me read to the end as it is a little bit long.
My junior brother is 14 years old and to be sincere I haven’t seen anybody as dull as him. I don’t know if it is natural but I just can’t understand why someone at that age could still be struggling with very simple arithmetic. My brother can’t write 1 – 150 correctly at 14.
He seems too dull; note he attends one of the best private school around our area, though I know you might say maybe education is not his way but even if you want to drop out from school you should know some basic things like money, time, multiplication and so on but my brother doesn’t know anything I must say, even to write his name correctly is a problem. It is making everyone unhappy lot of money is being spent on lesson teachers and other things for him still no improvement.
I am a student of one of the top federal University in Nigeria same as my other siblings even at both secondary and undergraduate level we were always above average so I can’t say his problem is genetic. I really wants to know what is the problem with him nairalanders. After I finished secondary school I once taught some pupils in primary school though there were dull ones too there but with time I could see improvement unlike my brother i always try to teach him from time to time but it kind of frustrating as he doesn’t even seems like he will ever grab anything and he doesn’t behave like he wants to learn anything.
He makes it seems as if he is not interested book or arithmetic at all …we all tried talking to him endless time to always read any time he his less busy but he never does except he is being forced.
He rarely talks, he loves to keep to himself always, he doesn’t have interest in anything unlike we the others that are die hard football fans, most times my mom will tell him to even go out to play and mingle he will not still want to go, he prefer to stay at home seating all day without reading or doing anything, even if it is to draw or play football he wont.
This matter is not making everyone happy at home we don’t even know the solution to his problem again, as in imagine having a child that is 14 years old that doesn’t know the difference between 17 and 71 it is just so bad…..
We don’t know if his case is mental or spiritual. please nairalanders I know there are child experts in the house or anybody who have experienced something like this before what do you think is the problem and possible solutions to the problem your contributions are welcome.
Please help me push this pleaseeeeee Have your parents test him for autism. There are so many things that fall under autism. Go on YouTube and look it up and see which patterns he fits. Good luck with your special brother |
Foreign Affairs › Re: President Trump Gets Censored On Twitter For His Tweet Threatening Americans by chris81964(m): 4:48pm On May 29, 2020 |
TripleOh7: I understand your point.
But you don't understand mine.
Tell me, what's going to happen next after this looting?
Do you think that the looting and burning won't affect the average black man or black business?
Do you think that this is the best way to show our grievances at this moment.
Why attack stores?
Why not attack the police station?
Why not burn down government buildings if you truly want to turn it into a violent scenario?
Why looting peoples' businesses?
Does this even make sense at all?
Black businesses ruined because we are protesting the murder of a black man is the unfortunate thing here, not my own opinion.
I agree that the policemen should be sentenced to the chair.
There are ways to bring this about. Not like this. Most businesses in black neighborhoods don't belong to Black people. When you are helpless and scared nobody knows what your reaction when in a mob would be. During the LA riot following the Rodney King incident and acquittal, I felt like you. I was angry at the black people who looted the stores and burnt down businesses. I felt that they gave me a bad name. And the media tells you that they are. The system is deigned to keep one segment of the population down no matter how hard they try. Higher rate mortgages and car loans. Redlining and refusing to lend in some areas. Poor delivery of municipal services. Higher incarceration rates relative to their population. I felt so helpless with this latest killing and I was so angry I could not tell how I would react. Target is not owned by black people. They did set the police station of fire. It is very easy for one to sit in judgement. But the looting was not something that happened in a vacuum. The murder of a helpless black man triggered it. The consequences are not as important as the trigger. The murder of a black man who was going about life like any other US citizen. I am not sure that if I were present I would not have thrown my rock at the symbol of my oppression. I am angry and in enough pain that I can't tell. My neighbors have no empathy because it is not happening to them. I watch shows on National Geographic and I see scenes where the lions ate a wilder-beast or an antelope. And you see its mother, cousins, brothers gather around and watch their relative get eaten. That is how it feels to be a person of color in America. You watch your brother, father, child, sister get killed. All you can do is cry. You know that nothing will happen to the killer. And you know your neighbors will just watch and move on. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: President Trump Gets Censored On Twitter For His Tweet Threatening Americans by chris81964(m): 10:56am On May 29, 2020 |
TripleOh7: Actually, Trump's right.
The looting and violence dishonours the memory of the deceased.
And the looters are making things worse for the black man.
They call you a monkey, a thief and a brigand and you go right ahead and prove them right.
So so wrong. Your comment is very unfortunate. A black man lives in constant fear for his life whenever he has an encounter with the police. The police have killed black men and women in America with no fear of punishment. People have protested peacefully before and nothing has ever happened. As a black man with adult sons in America, I can't bring myself to watch the image of a handcuffed man lying on the ground while someone kneels on his throat and gradually watches the life leave that man. Many people saw it and even begged the police to take their knees of his throat. The office kept his knee on this man's throat even when he stopped moving and lapsed into unconsciousness. The mans pleas were ignored and when his life was taken they treated it as another incident. The officers got fired. They did not get persecuted for murder. Eric Garner in Staten island was another victim who was placed in a choke hold till he died. He said I can't breathe and they did not release him till he was dead. What was his crime? selling loose cigarettes. The man with the knee on his throat was cuffed on suspicions of having a forged check. There was no violence. A white man went into a church shot and killed 8 black people. The police who arrested him took him to McDonalds on the way to the precinct. The anger and the helplessness is real. A young man went jogging, an ex uniformed man, his son and a friend hunted him down and shot him. His crime? jogging while black. America only responds to equal violence. Trump did not refer to the white protesters who attacked people or who drove a car into a crowd of people as thugs. The race of the people doing the protest seems to matter. NHL championships have resulted in the looting and destruction of stores. They were never referred to as thugs. Please don't buy into the silly narrative about black people that the media feeds you. The anger is real |

adrusa: The only reason to go for the 250V100 is if your system's nominaal voltage is 96v and above. If you are limited to 48v like most of us, the 150v is more than adequate for your need and is cheaper on the long/short run. The 250 V 100 amp Victron on works up to 48V batteries. The advantages are fewer strings because you can connect more panels in series. You also can use thinner cables because you can run lower current. Your higher voltage minimizes loses if you are far from the array. I have used both and honestly I pick the 250 100 any day over the lower voltage. Fewer strings means fewer breakers. |

Kimi is still in F1. Amazing is it not? Ferrari will still not win a championship till they clean house. The problem was never the driver. Alonso with his talent came in 2nd best two times, just like Vet. It seems that Ferrari management causes more distress to the team than the drivers |
