yeah, thats part of the plan, am even likely gonna suggest a standalone CC, as i saw 1.23kw instantenous harvest from the 1800w array on a cloudy dull day!!!..we all know this is impossible.
will do further extensive checks, now that i have the axpert manual. want to be sure of what exactly killed the bank, so its eliminated b4 laying down cash for new batts, cos even with mixing old and new batts, i dont think the failure should hv been that fast

ok, tot as much, cos even ipower has similar infrastructure, have seen all the manuals, but none for gennex, theyare all same then.
i am trying to troubleshoot a setup of 8 batts and 1800w panels, that barely lasts 1hr on 450w load .. terrible
thinking of recommending 8 x 6v 400ah agm batts to owner for replacement, ie after finding the root cause of the catastrophic failure... instead of 8 x 12v 200ah quanta batts,

My brother and his family were sent down from the plane without any reason. I have personally installed BYD batteries, you can also get lithium ion phosphate battery cells from China, you will require an external BMS.

Wow impressed with fangpusun. I bought their bmv 700 and when it delivered I noticed that the display had issues, it wasn't that bad the only problem been 7 looking like 1 and some mild clarity issues. So I mailed them and was expecting them to tell me they will offer a discount on my next buy but they said they will send another unit. I expected them to send only the display unit since the shunt and supplied cables were working buy lo and behold they sent another complete unit thru DHL ie the bmv 700 monitor, 500a shunt and cables. Infact they even added a temp sensor which is odd because the bmv doesn't use it and so I don't know why they added it. So I now have 2 units of complete bmv 700 plus a temp sensor wire that I don't know what to do with. Maybe I'll keep it for a future device, any suggestions?

I am assuming you want to switch over between Mains and Gen? If your inverter can already start and stop the Gen then I believe a suitably rated 4 pole 2NO/2NC AC contactor should do - you should be able to implement this solution for under 10k especially if your house wiring is single phase or 'naija looped 3-phase'.

Simply decide which power source has priority and put the live and neutral of that power source on the [NO] common side of the AC contactor and put the live and neutral of the power source to be overriden on the [NC] common side - interlink/bond the load side (goes to the house DB) of the AC contactor live to live bonded and neutral to neutral bonded and you are good to go. Only one power source will be able to feed from Common to Load Side of the AC contactor. You can even implement a Generator off function with the disconnect.

This is in addition to Oga Niyi's ...... From the picture its a 4kva (3kw) 24v inverter. It's low battery cut off can only be toggled between 10v and 10.5v from a set of d.i.p switches(assuming a 12v battery setup) . A more improved version now exists where you can adjust the battery cut off voltage from a knob beside the l.e.d display. Oga Kiekie posted a picture of it (some pages back).

Has some unusual DIP switch settings on the left side where the battery cables connect to the inverter (you would need the manual to make any sense of these).

Typical mustpower design so the absorb voltage and charge current setpoints are adjustable.

There is LBCO but it is analog - e.g setting the arrow at 50% DoD does not necessarily mean 12v or 12.2v so you would have to experiment till you get the actual voltage you want to cutoff at or limit battery discharge too.

Okay inverter but not sterling in it's class - I only used it once and never again - the general feel and sturdiness or lack thereof did not inspire me especially at the price-point.

One good thing is they always provide thick and long DC cables (35MM at least) as well as very good gauge AC Input L,N,E and AC Output L,N,E cables of substantial length with your purchase - 4mm to 6mm gauge. No one else I know does this. I also hear their customer service is much improved now.

Fangpusun wants to give me a replacement CC(bluesolar), they requested to send it through DHL. The but there is that, I've had a nasty experience with UPS on epsolar sometimes back ( I had to pay extra 16k for a CC of around 40k, about 2yrs back. since then I only use china registered mail, I collect in post office no issues). So, is there anybody that has collected CC via DHL? Thank you.

Order for BMS with battery balancing feature and Mt50 to program my user setting to 12.6 max charging voltage but in the mean time I am rocking my 108ah 18650 lithium battery pack, I blew the first pack I made by not religiously monitoring the battery while charging without a BMS.... Now i know better.... Rocking the set already and the runtime is amazing! Better late than never!
