When Warri Wolves won the local league Sunday Mba was probably the best midfielder in the local league...Mba is ni average ooo. Na just old age catch up with am.

..................Just wanted to do a little correction..............
Chief do your research warri wolves has never won the league MBA was just a local League prospects not many people knew about him until the AFCON triumph

Don't mind foolish Pogba. He doesn't know he should divide himself into 11 players and man every position. Infact he should kukuma take over coaching duties from Ole.

Mba wasn't a local warlord anything. Guy was just your average local league player looking for a big break. Emenike wasn't a first team starter like that pre-AFCON or have you forgotten how people wrote off the team because we didn't go with experienced players like Obafemi Martins, Osaze etc?

2013 was as rookie as it gets.

This our current squad you conveniently forget has players plying their trade in better leagues, better competitions against better quality opposition.

zuchyblink:
When it comes to Winning trophies, leave for the men not boys. We are not talking about QF or semi finals but winning trophies. At a stage you separate boys from men.It was Enyeama, Mikel,MBA(local war Lord), Emenike ( who has been playing professionally for years) Moses( played for years in England) their contribution that propelled us to victory in 2013 not undermining the contribution of others

Chief you have good reason to be sceptical about the SE chances next year year but using your experience and Ighalo argument doesn't add validity to the point you are trying to pass. If you had based your arguments solely on the tactical capabilities of Rohr and the rest of the coaching crew then I would have heard you.

I watched too much football to completely dismiss our team's chances next January. Who knows a combination of the right formation, form and dumb luck could just propel the team to victory. I will continue to be optimistic and hope for the best if we don't do well it's nothing new it happens and the heavens will not collapse. If after not qualifying for AFCON and WC we are still moving it's definitely not next year that will faze me.

zuchyblink:
I wish the Super Eagles the best but I am afraid.

Ighalo before AFCON barely above 20 cap ''experienced'' player with only 35 caps to his name before he retired.

Plus also learn to post full information not only the ones that fit agenda

Alex Iwobi = 48 Caps

Troost-Ekong = 52 Caps

Ahmed Musa = 101 Caps

Wilfred Ndidi = 41 Caps

Leon Balogun = 41 Caps

Iheanacho = 36 Caps

Moses Simon = 33 Caps

Omeruo = 54

Shehu Abdullahi = 31 Caps

Awaziem that hardly starts = 23

So inexperience is not a valid excuse to bring Odion back.

zuchyblink:
Paul Onuachu 15 caps
Calvin Bassey 0 cap
Awoniyi 1 cap
Victor Osimehn 16 caps
Ejuke 5 caps
Samuel Kalu 16 caps
Aribo 10 caps
Bonke 2 caps
Frank onyeka 3 caps
Akpoguma 4 caps
Okoye 11 caps
Akpeyi 18 caps
Uzoho 18 caps
Zaidu sanusi 6 caps
Ebuehi 9 caps
Kingsley Michael 1 cap
Semi Ajayi 14 caps
Chukwueze 19 caps
Terem Moffi 3 caps
Henry onyekuru 14 caps
This is what Rohr means when he says my young team. More than half of our national team players have little international experience and this is why we are struggling.

I think they will be motivated. A vast majority of the teams that won't qualify for the next stage don't really have high expectations of qualifying for the WC unlike teams like Nigeria, Algeria, Egypt etc. that see qualification as a birth right. Even if any of the big teams miss out on the next stage you can bet they will want to use next year's AFCON to make up for the disappointment.

Ppogbae:
I'm talking about the current round of qualifiers. Those who'll get eliminated may lose motivation to play at all at AFCON

Ndidi, Iwobi and Iheanacho have even been part of the SE for about 5/6 years
ChrisKels:
Enyeama 2002 - 2013 = 11years... "Ahmed Musa covers this with his debut dating back to 2010"

Mikel 2005 - 2013 = 8years... Kenneth Omeruo covers this with his debut coming in 2013

Efe 2010- 2013 = 3years... Leon Balogun covers this with his debut coming I'm 2014

Uche 2007 not 2006 - 2013 = 6years... Troost Ekong and Akpeyi are here with their debuts coming in 2015

Echiejile/ Ideye 2010 - 2013 = 3years... Ndidi, Iwobi, Iheanacho cover this

Now, funny enough, the supposed experienced Ighalo wasn't even an integral member of this squad till 3 years ago, unlike those other players mentioned above. So where is the so called experience of his coming from?

This team already has enough experience and bulk of the experienced folks in this team made their debuts before Ighalo and remained with the team when Ighalo was exiled due to his poor form. Abeg make we hear word with this una over rated ABF defensive striker of a player

Like egbon Kog45 posted we already have enough experience in the team the only ''rookies'' that are currently in the team include Ejuke, Akpoguma, Sanusi, Okoye and Aribo and of these 5 the only sure starters in the team are Okoye and Aribo.

Efe was not a core member of the team until around the time Siasia started coaching the team in 2011, Echiejile was second fiddle to Taiye Taiwo until Keshi came on the scene. Ideye too wasn't really a starter and before 2013 you could count the number of times he featured and scored on one hand.

The irony is all these guys were ''rookies'' when they won the AFCON lol

Bro your information is incorrect Efe, Ideye and Echiejile were part of the u21 in 2007. It was only in 2010 that they started being major members of the SE.

Our team as it stands doesn't lack competent strikers what we need now are more creative type players to feed our strikers. Ighalo has tried for us him coming back to the SE will not change anything if the team's creative problems still persist. The only person who I would welcome back with open arms is Victor Moses but he has to want to come back.

zuchyblink:
2013 AFCON winning team Enyeama has been with national team since 2002,Mikel,2005,Efe 2007,Ideye 2007,Ikechukwu 2006,Moses 2012 played for years in Epl,Echiejile 2007,Emenike 2011 played many years in Europe and Africa. This is what is called experienced team.players that have tasted action home and abroad

Don't enter into an abusive marriage thinking things will get better. Please prioritise your physical and mental health don't let anyone try to shame or blackmail you into any marriage because you will be the one to literally leave with the consequences of your decision not them. I pray God will sustain and give you someone that will genuinely love you and not cause you physical or mental pain. Stay blessed and may God continue to protect you in Jesus name.

Was watching the post match analysis of the Man U game honestly the comments from scholes really annoyed me. Ole coached a dreadful Manchester side today but Paul somehow made it all Pogba's fault like he was on the pitch when they considered 4 goals. Always questioning his commitment like it's pogba's fault that man u has had poor or shitty coaches since Ferguson retired. Shebi if Pogba is the one holding them back how come other players haven't powered united to glory?

lol Everyone here has a favorite player but it's unfair to say people here deliberately don't celebrate other players doing well.

Sadiq Umar who plays in Spanish second division gets a mention from time to time when he scores. Stephen Odey who anyone barely remembers gets a mention same with dele bashiru and ejaria that play in the english championship.

If people choose to hype osimhen to high heavens let them be it's their prerogative. even italian football experts and journalists are hyping victor it's a normal circle in football.

If you want to hype or celebrate another nigerian player please do I for one won't begrudge you.
