The camp is for a few weeks .

What you have not done in your club season after season , you are not going to do in a camp of two weeks. No matter what the coaches say.

Stranger things have happened in the NFF I remember 2018 World cup Elderson Echiejile was clearly not fit and not able but he went and Aina was made to stay behind.

Stories are not FACTS.
true boss. Let's hope tonight will make us better. All I wish is success. We will definitely see onyeka tonight.

No past history says no.

Remember world cup 2014.

Uchebo, Oshinowo, R. Gabriel ( had not played 200 minutes of football) , A. Egwuekwe, Kunle O., Ejike Uzoenyi, where all selected above proven and by tested players. Where are these player's today or did they ever progress.

Meanwhile Obagoal, Sone Aluko, Shittu, Ignored and left behind.

Frank Onyeka proven and tested in the best league in the world has already been ignored put to one side over somebody preference project player from the lowly Segundo division.
there is no need to make reference to that period no need to go into details because it was really bad. The onyeka u are talking about is in camp OGA, do you think Eguavoen at this point is seeking cheap money? The man is looking for glory . So if he performs he will feature . who will believe that simon will produce such performance? Or u think he will intentional leave him out? Omo, stories showed that iheanacho has been massive in camp and we saw the result. At this point the coach knows more than you, swallow the bitter pill. Whoever he fields is the best. It would have been different if onyeka was not in camp.

There has been long History of our local coaches and the NFF pursuing agendas based on conflicting interests.

It's beggars belief that Onyeka is not starting.

It makes no rational sense that Nwakali will be benching Onyeka because he is the only one that can do long ball.

Nigeria we hail thee
. In as much as you are right to some degree, on the other hand, I feel the coaches are closer to the players. Senegal with all the stars couldn't give us good football. Provided Eguavoen is getting results, no need for this your statement. If so called almighty onyeka fits in , he will definitely play.

Chukwueze's quality seems to have diminished badly since he broke onto the spotlight. So has his confidence. Man's now scared as hell to take on defenders. I would've accused the coach of restricting him but how come Simon is doing the exact opposite?

I hope Chukwueze's goal today does something positive for his confidence. In the meantime, Iwobi should start ahead of him on that right wing. Plain and simple.
. So on point.

Many of us don't know what it means to recycle a ball. One must not make a forward pass once he gets a ball. That guy was brought in to stabilize that MF and he did his job well. Recycle the ball and make forward pass when necessary and keep it simple and tidy.
. Thank you so much. You understand this leather game. All these people attacking nwakali, are you expecting him to move the ball when we are already in control? Na waooo

All these Nwakali slander. Is it not the lad that had given 3 accurate long balls in this same half and even had a driving move just now setting up iwobi on the wings?

His distribution was very tidy and he alongside Iwobi made us keep the ball more in the middle.

We struggled to do this in the first half. Iwobi and Nwakali steps in and we were neat in pass recyles but ofcos people that don't know ball must slander.

Superficial observers. grin
. No mind people that don't even understand football.

My Observations and Notes after the First Twenty Minutes:

*There is no creativity in this Nigeria's fiest eleven.

*Ndidi , KC and Aribo has not shown their presence.

*Moses has been a bit quiet.

* We have lost the midfield...there is no creativity.

* It beginning to show Aribo offers very little in midfield control.

*Sudan is becoming more threatening and dominating the midfield.

*Awoniyi is not getting any ball supply.

* Chukwueze and Aina most lively.

Suggestion: We definitely need some form of authority and control in the midfield....Nwakali's introduction has become crucial if you mind.

I knew Sadiq was bad but l expected WAY MORE

You are in the Segunda and have been for two seasons, this is your chance to SHOW WHAT YOU CAN DO.

Seize the opportunity
.

He will never have a bigger game than this , no urgency, no determination, no presence, no technique, no pace, no physicality, no aggression, no skill, NO NOTHING.

Nwakali self the AM the midfield maestro WOW lost for Words.

KC really found his position which is behind the Attacker , Aribo was very composed and if Moses had some finesse he should have scored. All round very good performance.

Low points substitutions.
. the substitution was lit master. As for sadiq I can understand , he will need another chance, not a bad shift. Nwakali work was more of defending and killing the game.

Also you guys are saying Ejuke was selfish for the two shots he had saved.

For the first, he pushed the ball too far out that he could not give an accurate pass sideways before having it cut out, so he just went for the shot.

For the second, Iwobi got closed down by the defender immediately Ejuke got the ball in an area he could pass to him. Everyone he could pass to was closed down or marked. The only free guy was Sadiq, and he arrived into position too late.
God bless you. At times I wonder as people watch football. There is nothing selfish about
his play. What of chukwueze who could not prove himself.

If Eguavoen can see what I see and play Aribo in the #10 role, this issue of few arrivals into the box when chances or crosses come in won't be much of an issue.
Aribo is very adept at contributing to an attack overload in the opponent's box from his position between the lines in the final third.

With Aribo, we can be sure to have at least 2 or 3 players waiting to pounce up top. Hope he considers this and don't play Aribo too deep in the middle coz yesterday's practice saw Aribo play deeper.

Some year's ago I was watching a player called Jerome Sinclair ( youngest player) to play for Liverpool at 16. I was watching him in comparison to a Dembele at Fulham.

I felt then that Sinclair looked good at youth level and playing in a particular team that supports him. I felt he didn't have what it takes to go forward.

My associate at the time was HOD recruitment for a premier League club. We concluded that Dembele was the real deal.

Fast forward after being sold to Watford for £5millon he has gone from EPL, Championship, League one, Eredivisie, he is now at CSKA in the Bulgarian league.

Meanwhile Dembele has thrived in several top level leagues he is now at Athletico Madrid.

Potential has a very short shelf life before it EXPIRES.

You cannot be a mouse in moi moi league and in a poor club and think somehow you go turn Lion for SE.

Look at the nonsensical proposition he is the only Midfielder that can play as a CM and can do long ball that's rubbish.

There are probably at least 50 young potential ( true age) Nigeria origin players in the EPL academies and or first teams, as well as too many to mention in the Championship.

If you go by across Europes top five league you will find similar as well. Your name is Chuks let me find one who is your name sake Lol there are quite a few with your name. Forgot to say he is 18

Gnabry played 18 games for Arsenal, he was 16 when he played his first game for Arsenal.

How many games did Nwakali play for Arsenal please ❓

Gnabry went on loan at WBA didn't make any progress and went to the less competitive Bundesliga to continue his development. That's after 4 seasons in the EPL.

He then played three seasons in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim and Werder developed himself and improved himself before moving to Bayern Munich in 2018.

He has had what we call progressive upwards developed in his football career over 10 years he only 26.

What has Nwakali been doing, running on the treadmill of football mediocrity for 7 years huh
if only nwakali will see all these and put extra work hmmm . He will definitely have his breakthrough. The young man is a baller .I just wish the coach will give him some game time in this afcon. The best thing now is to support the team. If nwakali gets his mojo, forget , he will conduct that midfield well. He has some unique qualities our current midfielders don't have.

Based on what I have seen of the duo of Aribo and Iwobi in SE colors I dont have a drop of confidence in them. Aribo is very athletic with an eye for goal but he lack skills and creativity. Iwobi we all know is as confused as they come , so , I don't know what you expect to see. Iwobi himself doesn't even know where on the field is his natural position...he just love the attacking midfield position because of the suppose fame that comes with the position.
. I think I disagree with this until aribo is tested in that AM position. See aribo is technique itself. The guy has eye for goals with deadly final ball. My pick is aribo as AM, nwakali (CMF)and ndidi as the DMF.

A Midfield of this guy as a Lampard-esque #10, Nwakali as the central Midfield orchestrator and Ndidi doing his thing as an Elite ball winner with Ejuke on the left and Chukwueze on the right all as "the supporting cast" behind the Number 9 carries great tactical potentials especially in our offensive plays.

Nwakali is a fine player (no hypes),will prefer him playing deep . but I don't understand why we so much underrate Aribo. Aribo in the final third is deadly, . a midfield of Aribo as AM, nwakali and Ndidi will be lovely. Aribo is very technical and quick with his decision. He will do so well in advance midfield role.

Play off.
Nigeria chances against the unseeded:

Nigeria vs egypt : 45/55 %
Nigeria vs cameroon : 50/50 %
Nigeria vs ghana :50/50 %
Nigeria vs dr congo 55/45 %
Nigeria vs mali : 60/40 %

No country is easy ,all d countries will b very tough in d play off.

Mali would b our easiest take.
While egypt our toughest opponent.

But my prediction is
Nigeria vs DR congo.
hmmm, was it not this same congo that prevented us from qualifying for afcon?
