It's so sad that a Nation that squandered about $16b in payment of fake fuel subsidies to it's Friends in 2011,is now borrowing $1.1b to build infrastructures. This is a typical case of misplaced priorities and lack of wisdom. It's just like using $100,000 to throw parties and then later you remember you are supposed to build your house so you turn around to go to the bank to borrow $10,000 to start building the house. God save this Nation from the hands of our selfish Leaders |
Never!!!I won't allow Indians to make my children fatherless or my wife a widow. That Airline will die in no time. |
I think basically it's because the nature of training they received in school is to come out and expect to be EMPLOYED and unfortunately there are not many jobs around in Nigeria. I think that if the average Nigerian graduate will begin to think like an Enterpreneur, maybe they may begin to see solutions to the many problems of our great nation Nigeria. The problems you solve around you will make people to put money in your pocket.I am always amazed that in a nation of 160m people,if you are able to provide a solution to a problem and just 100,000 buy into your solution and you just make 10naira only from each you are smiling home with 1,000,000 naira. This is the only major reasons Indians,Chinesse and other foreigners continue to troop down here. The potentials our nation hold are enormous!!! I encourage our young graduates to think more Enterpreneural and forget the challenges they think are around because it's all imaginary and in their head. They are not real. Finally Let them begin to see problems around them as having potentials to earn them incomes and they should flog their Internet for positive informations that will aid their search for solutions to problems in their neighborhoods. Each time I click google for informations, the amount of information I get confirms my stand that no generation on planet earth has been as lucky as the current one because of how CHEAP information has become because at the click of a botton, the information that will have taken your Grandfather 10 years to get you now get in 10seconds. Regards |
This is the height of vanity!!!I wonder who these beauty fools think they are. |
Something is obviously wrong,I normally get goose pimples anytime our national anthem is played |
For me provided it's not an indecent picture, some women who put the pictures may be trying to communicate to their female friends where they were over the weekend etc. I trust my wife so much that I believe she will not be naughty in any of the social medium.I even told her not to add me in her Facebook friends or even to follow her on twitter so that she can be free to associate with her friends without looking at her back to think how I will see about her comments. I only add her to my Facebook friends when I am abroad for easy communication but once I am back in Nigeria, I delete her again |
Go to Lasutech in Ikeja |
I guess the reason why Sosoliso and ADC are still grounded has to do more with their inability to pay out the approved insurance claims to the victims than the fact that they had an air crash.Recall that after the bell view crash of 2005,they continued flying till they ran into financial problems. |
I think it's very artificial to eat our local African dishes with cutleries because the originators of the food never planned it that way. Personally anywhere I am served with any swallow food,I usually eat it with my hands. I have noticed a trend though that most people prefer eating those dishes with their hands but they are so scared of what people will say,so as soon as I start using my hands, very many other people join me. |

Please We can never compare a woman and a Car it's rather insulting to our womenfolk. How will you feel if your wife compares you to her handset? |
Rest in Peace Pastor Connie,Pastor Anselem will be devastated,His International Ministry I am sure will be affected by this.May God comfort the Family over this irreparable loss. She was so blunt and straightforward, with her you knew where you stand in all issues. I left their Ministry about 8 years ago but I will forever cherish their friendship and love |
Why are we moving from one extreme to the other? If this is supposed to be a publicity stunt,Sorry it's not working for me. Government should send a compact delegation to London Olympics,A delegation that reflects the current reality on ground in Nigeria. Our problem is not about sending a delegation to International events but making sure that they conform to International best practices. |
Soludo was a better Governor than Sanusi. Most things Sanusi did,he could have done without playing to the gallery so that there will still be confidence in the system.Banking all over the world is about perception. Sanusi could have eased out the Bank MDs without making a show of it and eventually inject some new funds and capital to enable a turnaround. In the US,when the Govt injected fresh funds into the wobbling banks, the still left the old management and today most of those banks are profitable. Nigerian banking problems stemmed majorly from loose supervision from the CBN because if the supervision was tight enough, most of the financial scams in the industry would not have been successful |
Yes he should appear before the House of Reps because he has to substantiate his accusations against Farouk Lawan before the House of Reps Ethics Committee. that's the proper procedure |

I am a Christian so I will try to give a Christian perspective if it's ok by you. Man is made of Body,Soul and Spirit. The Body is the one you have on physically,The Soul is where feelings, imaginations and emotions manifest,The Spirit is the one that is eternal. When you as a Christian accept Christ as the Saviour and Lord, your spirit is renewed and made heaven bound and the devil will never have access to it again. The only battle you now have is to continually fight to be able to subject your Soul and Body under your Spirit so that you can leave a victorious Christian life. But We have to note that the only condition which will make your spirit to be accessible to the devil is if you renounce Christ. |
Why all the noise? All the other delegations from across the nations of the world that have been coming to Nigeria what came out of it?.No sane investor will put his money where there is so much insecurity as in Nigeria. For once let our Leaders be sincere and tackle our very urgent problems of poverty, corruption and insecurity before it is too late.Nigeria is gradually sliding into anarchy and people are still playing politics with our collective destinies. GEJ should for once be the President we elected him to be and not always behaving as if the Presidential seat is too big for him. In other great Countries of the world, when their Leaders talk, you decipher the fact that they are on top of issues and even though they may not solve all the problems of their countries but the citizens go home knowing that He understands what needs to be done and that he is charting a roadmap that will take them out of their problems but reverse is the case with Nigeria where when our Leaders talk, you wonder if they indeed live in the same Country with you. They are so far away from the average Nigerian struggles pain and squalor |
I am happy he said RULE and not LEAD, because in Africa We are yet to get LEADERS. History is just repeating itself in Nigeria because this was the same story We heard when Yaradua was ruling Nigeria in his vegetable state from Saudi Arabia and his Kitchen cabinet was defending him with this same words We are hearing again. |
I think the issue of tithing is a personal one but I must confess that my most difficult times financially comes any period I neglect my tithing obligations. I see tithing as an opportunity to make God a stakeholder in your business and I have observed that each time I stop tithing ,I will cease to experience all those transactions that come to you and you recognize that you have really not sweated for them. You will just begin to notice that most incomes you make will depend primarily on the amount of handwork you put into every venture. After going through my life experiences financially,I think I prefer my tithe paying periods basically. I also notice that the tithe does not actually affect my finances noticeably so I think I am better off giving it to God. |
Peter Obi's greatest undoing is that He considers himself the wisest Man that ever came from the southeast of Nigeria. He runs the state just the way he was running his private business. Every successful leader I know listens to criticism because this most times serves as a painful feedback that will enable you reappraise your performance. This ElRufai's appraisal of Governors has been on for a while now,how come Peter Obi is the first Governor to react aggressively to it.It smacks of Pride and We the Anambra Citizens are to discerning to allow our lackluster Governor to reduce this wake up call to a tribal warfare |
It is so amusing when people want to justify why Unilag name should be retained, they tried to do that by telling us how international they brand is, Who really rates any Nigerian University high abroad Unilag inclusive?Let the VCs ,lecturers etc please concern themselves more with how to lift the standard of Education in their various Universities so that our graduates will be able to compete effectively in the global community. In my lifetime,I have seen Countries, big Corporations etc change their names and nothing happened. I strongly believe that if the academic standard in Unilag is improved tremendously, nobody will really notice the name change . |
I stay close to the area of the crash, sometimes people should be sincere in their comments. The rescue team did their best ,when the plane crashed, there was a lot of fire within that environment and about 4 helicopters that came around were seen hovering around due to their inability to land due to the fire and the crowd at the crash site. There were a lot of ambulances from Lagos state and Ogun state on ground, even the fire trucks that were around from Lagos State were the brand new ones that they newly commissioned so I don't think there were issues of equipment or Logistics it was just that due to the highly inflammable nature of aviation fuel ,that crash scene was inaccessible for a long time.I can confirm to nairalanders that we could not sleep throughout the night due to the siren noise from the vehicles of various agencies that worked all through the night. As at 7.20am this morning when I was on my way to drop my kids at school ,I passed Governor Fashola on the way as He was going to the crash scene that early in the morning. |
